The first weekend in September the weekend after labor day a bunch of American legion Riders from Glenville MN took a trip to Fountain city Wisconsin. For the last few years we've been there and every time we go we have breakfast and supper both Friday and Saturday night.
I highly recommend the Landing because the food is great, and the ownership,and staff is beyond top notch.I can with ease give the a rating 15 out of 10. Whenever we walked in we were welcomed like family, can't say enough about them. They even handled our orders in a timely fashion and we had 10 people in our group.

I just paid $21 for overcooked soggy battered shrimp. Came.w 6 shrimp and potatoes. I was NOT offered a soup or salad. Shrimp were a.good.size but so tough I couldn't bite them off the tail needed to use a fork and knife. Breading was too thick held in the grease so I won't into the shrimp and grease dripped from them ...way over priced for a take out meal. Very disappointed. Service was nice

We had a prime rib sandwich and a Roast Beef Cheddar sandwich. Both sandwiches were fantastic. The Roast Beef was loaded with sautéed peppers and mushrooms and/ or onions. Fries were a step above regular fries. Owner served us and told us a lot about the history of the building. Highly recommend you give The Landing a try. Nice deck with a beautiful river view for a sunset. Be warned: the deck is very close to the railroad tracks

This place was recommended for weekend breakfast and it did not disappoint. The breakfast buffet is only on Sunday and it was so tasty. All the usual breakfast staples were present, plentiful and delicious. My favorite was the homemade hash laced with creamy bleu cheese. The service was top-notch. The ambiance is the expected river town stop. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I do recommend now as well.

They had a prime rib special. It was also Friday so I had the broiled cod with 3 jumbo shrimp. The cod was a bit over seasoned but that was better than some places where it isn't seasoned at all. They had a salad bar. I had a baked potatoe with my fish.

Wife and I had a BLT with a order of onion rings. The sandwitch, very little bacon one thin piece of lettice and 2 thin small slices of tomato. Onion rings. Way,way, uncooked. Had to send it back. There is little or no quality controll of food coming out of there kitchen.

I ordered a hamburger and my husband had the shrimp basket. The fries were good. My hamburger was way overdone and really dry. The shrimp were tiny and had a lot of breading on them and they were overdone too.
The place wasn’t very busy yet we waited at least 30 minutes for our food. The table next to us that arrived after us got their food before we did.
Will not be going back.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the Wing Dam since it has been under new ownership. Stopped in with family and friends to have dinner, and the food was amazing. Came out hot, flavors were awesome, perfectly cooked burgers and a light salad with the meal. Their prime rib is top notch, and their daily specials. Superb. The Owner came to visit a bit at our table, and the Chef and his apprentice also came out to visit with us and tell us about the new designed menu that they are unrolling in about 3 weeks. Also their other staff were exceptional as well. They opened the dining room up for us because a couple of my family members do have slight mobility issues. I highly recommend going and eating here. Definitely worth it, and very affordable. We will definitely be back. I also want to check out their Sunday brunch as well.

My wife and I stopped here with a friend of ours. My wife's friend had been here before and had good things to say about the place. My wife and her friend got the fish and shrimp combo, I just got the fish. Usually I like an all you can eat fish fry, I asked the waitress how big the pieces were and she said that she doesn't have people order more than 3 pieces because they are pretty big. I got 4 and had to take one home. The batter was excellent and so was the fish! It's haddock, which was a nice change. The tartar sauce was really good too, which makes or breaks a fish fry for me. My wife and her friend said the shrimp was excellent as well. I'll have to try that next time we stop. The only slightly negative part was that our young waitress was not very personable, we tried to joke around with her a couple times and she didn't really seem to have a sense of humor. It's definitely not going to keep us from coming back and she did a good job, so not a real big deal. Worth a stop for some great fish for sure!

This is a hit or miss for me on the food. 1 time it will be great then the next horrible. Service is okay but not nothing special. You will have to go up to the bar to get a refill on drinks when dinning in the seated bar area. If the dining area is open in back then you get great service. Went to Wing Dam on Labor Day and it was full on the inside. We didn't know about the back porch when we walked in and found a spot so I can't comment on it other than it's in back and likely overlooks the river. Service was very good considering how busy it was. I had the California burger and it was delicious. I split an order of cheese curds with my friend and they were delicious as well. He got the Wood Splitter which gave me entree envy after it arrived. He got a bloody which he said was good and came with a 12 oz bottle of domestic for a chaser. All in all, I'd recommend it, especially if you're in the area and looking for a nice drive by the river to get there or back home. Parking was very limited right next to the restaurant is the only downside.
