We didn’t stay here but stopped at the restaurant. Every employee was super friendly, service was fast and the homemade carrot cake was amazing! The cheese curds came with fries which was a pleasant surprise and both were yummy. I even bought a giant loaf of their cranberry wild rice bread and can’t wait to try it later! Definitely would stop again.

Excellent spot on the flowage. Excellent service and food. Even better, we messed up our prop on a rock bar. Denny and Jay came out, towed us back, REPLACED OUR PROP, and sent us on our way. Both taking time out of their day to help people out who were not staying at their resort. What class acts.

We had great week-long family vacation here at The Landing. We were in cabin 4 (Fish Cabin) and were very happy with it. The restaurant staff is great and you can’t find a resort in a better location on the Chippewa Flowage for fishing. They’re right in the middle and the docks are protected from the winds most of the time so you have easy access to both the east & west sides and docking is easy. Thanks for a fantastic week!

We came to The Landing for a drink on the 4th of July. It was very busy, we sat at the bar which was packed with people and had to wait a few minutes before getting served. All of the staff was nice, even though there were people everywhere. The drinks and the cheese curds were great!

Good food,good atmospher. However if your lookinv for bait other than worms, do yourself a solid and find another places for this. We took a boat from the campground. Picked up minnows on three different occasions. Changed buckets changed water. Nothinv helped. These minnows started dying as soon as we left the shack.

This is a review of the restaurant. Came here for a lunch in April, and I had the burger. Service was excellent; everyone was very warm and friendly. The ambiance is classic Northwoods decor, hunting and fishing and lots of wood. But the highlight was the burger: excellent flavor, fresh ingredients, on a fluffy brioche bun. The bacon was to die for. Absolutely the best bacon I have ever seen on a burger and arguably the best bacon I have ever had. Thick and meaty. Will definitely be coming back!

We came upon The Landing by chance when we're snowmobiling with our children. The service was great and the food was amazing!! The manager came right up to our table and helped with many questions we had about the trails in the area. He was so kind to our children as well. It was one of the best experiences we have had in this area.

Iconic Northwoods fish fry. Usually really busy on Fridays, but they do have plenty of dining space and parking so it moves pretty fast. Wednesdays they host a pow-wow which is so awesome, especially being right on the shores of the Chippewa Flowage. The Landing is a must-visit for travelers and is historic to the area.

We stayed in the upper unit of the first cabin. The AC was not working. The ceiling fan and 3 lights in the living room were also not working. We went to the landing looking for someone who could help us. He was gone for the day which was no problem, but he did not check in with us the next day. I ended up talking with the person who was staying in the lower unit. Who informed me that the AC is controlled in her unit. She was very understanding and did turn the AC down for us. The Cabins are very out dated and could use some fixing up. They charge quite a bit of $ for these things to not be working. Especially when it’s in the high 80s. I would recommend putting your $ towards a nicer place.

We dined at The Landing 3 times during our trip in the area. You can't find a better meal. Outstanding food with pricing that is clear and very reasonable compared to other establishments in the area.
Service was great and my favorite part was bringing home a loaf of the Cranberry Wild Rice Bread, delicious!

My inlaws stay here on a yearly basis. We joined them for a few days this year and it was very lovely.
Do not expect service on your phone; you're literally in the middle of no where and you're there to disconnect with the daily hustle and bustle.
The cabin we stayed in was great but it definitely needs some TLC. Some light bulbs were out so part of our kitchen didn't have direct light. The beds are VERY springy and not very comfortable. Wherever it's carpeted, there are a few stains from previous tenants and their pets.
Overall, not a terrible experience. The little restaurant/bar is an awesome place for drinks and to hang out. Ordered their fish dinner and that was just OK; loved the soup better.
If we get invited again next year, would definitely go again.

Stopped for our first Friday Night Fish Fry here and we were pleasantly impressed overall. It was quiet busy and they appeared somewhat short staffed, but we were waited on fairly quickly. Our waitress was outstanding! Very friendly, kind, and attentive. She made our dining experience very pleasant. Their fish fry is all-you-can-eat Walleye, not Cod. The first course is 2 pieces of wonderful, soft cranberry bread and a small serving of coleslaw. The fish arrived and it was not only pleasant to look at, but taste as well. It was accompanied by a side of fries, 2 lemons, and 2 servings of tarter sauce. The fillets were beautifully cooked, long, and aside from a couple hard bites on the ends were everything you hope for in a fish fry. Aside from a pesky fly, and a fruit fly the meal and the service were superb. Highly recommend their fish fry and kudos to our amazing waitress! We will return. The Landing puts on a great Friday Night Fish Fry. We look forward to our next visit. UPDATE: We stopped here again for Friday Night Fish Fry and unfortunately this time had a very poor experience. It was extremely busy and we had to get on the waiting list which is understandable. After waiting 30 minutes we were given a table. The waitress we got was anything but pleasant. No smile, no friendliness, just a really poor attitude and was extremely short with us. We've dealt with her in the past and she seems to be really angry at the world. Her demeanor was so bad that it actually ruined the night for us and we didn't want to have to deal with her any further. We left before ordering our meals after she initially waited on us. Due to the horrible interaction we had with her we have had to adjust our review. We are unsure of whether we'll be dining here again for fear of being waited on by her. A real shame because we really enjoyed our food the last time we dined there.

Stopped by tonight to get a meal for the road. We walked in and we were greeted with an attitude from the waitress. She seamed upset that we were there interrupting something. This restaurant has THE BEST fishing decor especially for viewing mounted muskellunge. The World record replica is on display, it sits vertically in a glass case near the restroom area. Their breakfast was decent and the view of Lake Chippewa is stellar! We will be coming back for the Friday night fish fry.

Update: Decided to come in for the Friday night all you can eat walleye fish fry. BIG MISTAKE. This place doesn't seem to do well under pressure. Our waitress was one of the worst I have ever had. It took her 15 MINUTES to even acknowledge us sitting there, when she finally did she was very flustered and unprofessional . Then it took her another 15 minutes to bring us out our drinks!. The walleye was very good but the atrocious service trumped that. Probably won't be back for a long time.

The wife and I decided to come back today for lunch after talking to a guy who worked there the day before about a pontoon rental. We walked inside and we were checking out the t shirts and cake. After about 5 minutes of waiting a young girl with dark hair came out and asked us what we wanted. We said we were wondering if they were serving lunch. She said yes and that inside and outside was open and she preferred us to eat outside. It was 81 degrees and we had been fishing all morning so inside would have been preferred and then she got all disgusted with us. She became short with her words and very rude. She had asked us what we wanted to drink and when my wife said unsweetened iced tea she asked 3 times what are you saying, I can't understand you. All because we preferred to sit inside. At this point my wife was ready to just eat outside but I told her we were gonna roll. So we found this othe place off of B called Treeland's Harbor View Restaurant. I was happy to give them my money and Jason was an excellent server. The Landing Resort looks like a nice place and is in a perfect location. We just had a bad experience from one waitress. Maybe we will try it again one day, but there are plenty of places open around here for this Memorial Day weeknd that will be happy to take my money.

Denny and Patti have always gone above and beyond every year, they both work extremely hard to make the trip fabulous! The cabins are clean and comfortable! This is our home away from home! The restaurant has the best food on the flowage! If you haven’t tried it, the Northwoods breakfast is the best of the breakfast menu! I could go on but this would get very long! I had the walleye sandwich here, and thought it was really good! One of my kids ordered a half order of the turkey club that they thought was really good, too.

I thought the service was good, the wait time on the food was pretty minimal, but there weren't a lot of people there at the time.

Not sure if they regularly do this, but the shot off fireworks from a boat on the lake, and they were great! We were surprised at how many fireworks there were. That was on a Saturday of Labor Day weekend.

The view itself was excellent as there is water all around the building.

They also rent places to stay and boats here, which I felt their prices were fairly reasonable on boats. I didn't look into the prices to stay, though.
