Loved it! Cheese curds were great, the ranch was barely a quarter full but oh well. Drinks were good, pricey for quality overall but next time we’ll skip those and get another app instead. Best ever hot honey chicken sandwich, next time I’d upgrade to waffle fries as the homemade chips were stale tasting. This is so close to the water and the patio is really nice. We were there when no one was in the pool so it was peaceful. We are definitely coming back here instead of the popular spot at Lake Geneva near the water.

First time in Lake Geneva, traveled from Chicago for a getaway trip with my fiancé, family and friends. The waitress, Tonya, had an attitude while serving us, there was flies constantly flying around while trying to eat food, that actually was horrible. The food taste like it had no seasoning at all. I would not recommend if you are staying at the Lake Lawn resort, this restaurant was not the best place to dine at, at all.

Definitely felt understaffed and their employees are overworked. Guests came into the bar and allowed their children to take tables that were being reserved so that the staff could get caught up. No one addressed the parents and the staff ended up having to take orders and serve the (unruly and misbehaving) children while their parents had more drinks at the bar. Where was management to address and help their staff support the rest of the customers who were following directions and waiting for a table? Doesn't seem like anyone is running the place. Our server was delightful and was taking care of tables all over the restaurant with a smile.

Some pretty good food, but the menu feels like it needs a revamp. They're a little too hooked on broccolinis and some of the item pricing doesn't make much sense. Other than that, I had an excellent Impossible Burger, great cheese curds, and everyone raved about the clam chowder. The waitstaff was outstanding—however during our first sitting, a female manager(?) seemed to be degrading our sweet waitress and ruined her mood, which affected the restaurant's whole vibe. I would personally vouch for those servers a pay raise and appreciation packages. They deserve it and much more.

Too many flies … as in … unusually too many dancing and buzzing on and around us and our table. It was a kind of unappetizing honestly. One of the servers was good enough to wipe down our table again so that was gracious of them. Then came the ordering and the food. Waited too long to order . The food came out way too slow as well. After around 25 minutes decided to seek out the server for a coffee refill. Then waited a total of 50 minutes or so for food to arrive after ordering. We’re pretty chill, but no communication from servers about anything. (Restaurant wasn’t slammed, although there was a pretty big table there which is why I was guessing things were slow… but a little checking in and communication goes a long way). But none of that happened. Some saving graces were that some of the servers at least still had on a smile and appeared to want to help but only after we approached them. Every restaurant has bad days… I hope they get their stuff together. It’s a real convenience to have a restaurant in the resort grounds. Next time we’ll just do the grab and go option. Ha.. just realizing it took so long to finish breakfast, lunch is rolling around.

Good food, good drinks, service was a little hit or miss. We recently stayed at Lake Lawn Lodge and The Lookout was the only option for sit down dining, so we ate there for lunch and dinner for three days. There are some innovative items on the menu. In fact, it would have been nice to have a few more basic things.

The 1/2 lb Bacon Cheeseburger was my son's favorite and I had to finally tell him that even at 17, 4 meals in a row of the same thing was more than enough. The whole family agreed that it was a darn good burger though. The filet was also good with the loaded mashed potatoes being the star of the plate.

Melissa and Amanda were tending bar two of the nights and were awesome! They were cheerful and fun and even when the bar was extremely busy they made sure to acknowledge everyone and let them know they would be taken care of. The pear Old Fashioned is a new favorite drink for me!

Overall the servers were good. There were a couple who forgot to bring some things we requested but fixed it right away. There was one meal that took far longer than it should have due to extremely slow service. However, good outweighed the frustration of the bad overall.

I just went there for breakfast this morning with a group of girls, left my expensive yeti cup there. Called them to see if it was there, the gentleman said no. So I popped in because I knew it was and it was right at the front register… they were trying to steal my yeti… maybe an assumption, but before he looked or asked around he just said no quickly, as if he knew or didn’t care. Could have asked for my name or number incase it showed up later. Thank goodness I went in right after the incident or one of them would probably have taken it home if I wasn’t able to go back in today.

Won’t ever go there again because of this incident. Lying and deceitfulness after I just dropped a bunch of money there. Bad staff move. I work in a restaurant and my place would never do this to their customers. No wonder it was empty on a Saturday morning

I paid $12 for a single mediocre waffle with no sides (not even toast) due to the most unaccommodating supervisor I have ever met. I went there twice for breakfast. The first time I had great service.

Friday the 11th and me and me girlfriend were the only patrons. I ordered pancakes and requested that I get hash browns instead of the 3 side options as they were all meat which is something I do not consume. I was told it was not an issue at all.

The issue came on Saturday the 12th. The place was about 40% of capacity. I decided to order a waffle this time. I requested that I substitute fruit instead of one of the meat options. I was immediately told no by the waitress. I started saying it was an option the day before. The supervisor was in the area (Lara) so she was waved over. She immediately insisted that substitutions are absolutely not allowed. When I explained that it was fine just the day before, Lara said that some waitresses are inconsistent with the rule and she will be talked to. Lara offered 2 solutions to me. Pay for the side separately, or order the only meal that happened to come with a non-meat side. I believe it was some sort of eggs.

Later Lara was going around asking tables how their meals were, and of course I told her I was unhappy with the situation and told her that I will write a bad review and use her name. I didn't say it as a threat, more to tell her that I was that unhappy with the situation. I've never seen somebody so comfortable with being told this. Apparently keeping consistent rules were more important than accommodating an unhappy customer. She did, however, acknowledge that I was unhappy and said she would mention it to Dana (whoever that is) for future rule review. And also bring it up to the cook to possibly in the future have a non-meat side as an option. She wouldn't budge on dropping the bill a little bit or maybe just allowing me a little fruit cup for free. It was obvious that she really values control. I was hoping that when I got the meal that there'd just happen to be a fruit cup, or my $12 waffle would be discounted, but I knew it wouldn't.

I am generally a very good and understanding guest. I don't get upset when food takes a long time or something is messed up. I realize we are all human. What made my experience so egregiously awful was Lara's repeated refusal to make a customer happy with a reasonable guest. She very much was knew that I was leaving unhappy but didn't care at all.

Went for the Friday fish fry. The food was ok. However the noise level was mind numbing. I ordered an ice tea and was brought a rootbeer with lemon in it. The waitstaff did rectify the drink. We arrived at 6:45pm and ordered at about 7pm food came about 10min later. No butter for rolls had to ask waitstaff. Got an extra shot glass sized apple sauce for extra cost of $0.75. In the end we were there for just over an hour. It cost $45 including tip for a 2 piece and 3 piece meal. Headache no extra charge. Will never go again. If you are staying at Lake Lawn it is an on-site option. However would not make a special trip to eat there.

The food was all fresh and hot when served. Nothing outstanding really, although the Apple Crisp French Toast was delicious and quite a novel entree.
