Really good food that is noticably made with care! The meatless mayhem (veggie burger sandwich) is hands down the best restaurant veggie burger. I subbed pesto for the Dijon on the sandwich. It was so good, especially paired with handmade onion rings and fried apples. The salmon with brussel sprouts and sweet potato planks was highly loved as well.

We started at the bar and then enjoyed our dinner on a laid back patio next to a fire table. The bartender that served us tonight was very friendly and attentive.

We absolutely LOVE this place!! I'm a truck driver and stay in the hotel next door. One reason is to eat here! You can't ho wrong with anything here...but take the waitress' tips and try the cheese curds with caramel. You won't be disappointed!!

My husband had a skillet which he said was good. I had the biscuits and gravy. The one biscuit was very dry and hard, not much flavor to the gravy. The waitress was nice enough to take half price off of my meal, I did not ask her to do that.

Had high hopes for this place as have heard some good reviews. After our experience, we will not be returning. The food was disgusting. I literally ate 1/4 of the burger and I couldn't eat it something was off but still cant figure out what it was. The only good thing was the drinks and company. We will not be driving 2 hours to see or visit this place again.

Exceeded expectations. The food had a creative variety of burgers and sandwiches. The option to substitute the patty with grilled chicken or elk meat was cool. We had a party of 8 and they gave us a well lit spot--my 80 year old dad was happy he didn't need his glasses to read the menu. And it was a pleasantly quiet volume! We could all talk freely, even across the table, without shouting over music. Everyone really liked their meal. My dad tried the elk burger and thought it was "pretty good." He can be hard to please. My husband did not feel left out with their gluten free buns. My mom was able to eat vegetarian. And the kids were happy too. We all left full and some of us with leftovers.

Stayed at the AmericInn connected to it. Planned the entire evening around coming back to the hotel late at night and eating here, because their Google Profile and website say they are open past midnight on Saturdays. But, they stop serving food, so we had to go back to our hotel room and wait an hour for over priced DoorDash. Their food might be good, but we literally couldn’t order it. Put the time your kitchen closes on your website, its basic information and could have saved us a bunch of money/trouble.

New fans from Kentucky! My fiancé drives a truck and is in the area fairly often. We found a new favorite when we're in town! The food is AMAZING! All fresh and locally sourced/made. The atmosphere is great and the staff are extremely nice. We stayed next door and ended up eating here 3 times before leaving. We absolutely WILL be back! If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out!

in the past. I went here and it was really good. Now it's terrible. We wound up sending our steaks back because we were convinced they were microwaved. After that experience my girlfriend didn't order anything. I decided to try a burger but the chili was microwaved as well i know because it was cold and uncooked. Food is great. Got standards like pizza burgers and chicken and all very good. Also have unique items like tuna you cant get everywhere. Can have food basic or jazzed up. All good. Gotta love EVERYTHING about this place! From the beautiful outdoor patio to the dozen or more top-notch 7 & 9' pool tables (far away from restaurant) to the EXCELLENT, HOMEMADE FOOD! Anyone can tell the attention to detail when you see REAL corned beef in your Reuben Sandwich (which I highly recommend, btw!)!!
The entire staff, including in the on-site pro-shop under new management, are the very BEST & are attentive to all your cocktail, food & billiards needs.
Speaking of Billiards.... who else has an In-House Pro such as Mason "Stonemason" Koch right there to give lessons?
I can't say enough good things about Mad Apple. It really must be visited to be appreciated - whether you play billiards or not!

Wasn't to impressed for the first time eating here. First the waitress to 3 orders out of the 4 of us there. She just walked away without taking the 4th order. Had to tell her, Can I order my food. Never came back and asked if we wanted refills. Second. The food came out. Definitely not impressed. Burgers were very dry and over cooked for medium rare. No sauce on them had to ask when it was supposed on the Burgers. Had to load up them up with sauce just to make them taste good. One order was missing fixings. It got sent back, instead of making a new on they just slapped the fixings on the burger. It took less than a minute and it was back at the table. The fries must have been cooked in day old oil. Very dark brown and soggie, dont know how they were cook but did Not taste good at all.

We haven't been here in a while, but every time we come here, it's a wonderful experience! We ordered a couple of ribeyes, some salmon and your appetizer platter. The portions,Oh my goodness! We forgot how big the portions were. We got a mixture of sides, and they were all wonderful. We both eat a lot when we go out because we do Intermittent fasting. Everything was cooked perfectly!

We were so happy with our service. Our server was very attentive and very sweet! We didn't have time to play pool as we were going to catch a movie, but we definitely will next time!

We stopped for lunch, we were 2 people only two other tables of 2 in the restaurant. The burgers were good, ordered the fries, they were terrible! The were soggy and just a grease pile. We let the waitress know and her only response was "I'll let them know". Never offered to redo them, no apology of any sort, no discount on bill (they were inedible, left them on plate).
Waitress never came back to ask if we wanted drink refills, again only 4 other people in the place. Took our bill and cash, took quite a while to return with change. No coins for the change either. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Our quartet of friends old & new enjoyed our evening together. Dining 3 of group had the Insane BLT. It is LOADED with strips of apple smoked bacon, tomato, lettuce on flat bread. They ALL raved about it! I went with the Tenderloin bowl and my (2) sides of 4 cheese mac'n cheese with broiled Brussel Sprouts & bacon. I asked for a bigger bowl and mixed it all together. YUMMY! The mix of savory crisp sprouts, salty bacon & tender steak combined with the creamy cheesy mac was OUT of This World delicious! Our server Maddi was efficient, engaging, & fun. Well, my expectations were high before actually going there... Now, notsomuch.
Nice parking, if you are first in line - or early to arrive. After that, well, good luck. When it's busy, you may find parking in another lot.
Upon walking up and entering this establishment, we were greeted by another person enjoying the early Spring weather as it was nice out. Hjis is also a pool hall, so the greeters are behind a long display-case area that doubles for a servers counter.
Next, we were seated as requested at a booth that had a window. Fun tables - they are very heavy and are coated with a clear resin urethane...nice touch.
The kenj is extensive and covers several specialty areas as well. We had the special of the day - not great, though ok. And, a burger(as it's a burger bar), again, not great, though ok.
The sweet potato flats were not done completely - a bit surprising as we were ohd if just a couple of tables that were occupied; so, no rush had really been needed- our preference is food completely cooked through and not mushy.
The meat portion of each meal seemed average in quality; that was not our expectation.
So, all in all, maybe other places are to be considered. Though if pool is your deal, well that they have in spades.

We were sat right away at a booth, the hostess said waitress would be over shortly. We waited almost 15 minutes for her to arrive. We have never been here before, so we had plenty of time to look at the menu. We ordered sandwiches and water. Got the water and waited….and waited. None of their TVs had march madness on. When we asked the host if it could be turned on, she said she didn’t know what March Madness was and apologized… we watched on our phones. My husband’s burger was missing an onion ring. When we asked for it, they brought us a cold onion ring. They offered 15% off which was like $2. Food was cold, empty and had to wait almost 20 minutes for eggs to be replenished, after being told " she just put some out 5 minutes ago" ( the hotel was booked with a lot of guests). The juice was empty, and it seemed they didn't want to fill it because there was 12 of us and they were trying to limit how much we wanted. The busboy was wiping table as we were still sitting at the table, rushing us out. The staff, waitresses were rude and very unfriendly.

Jan. 25th at 4pm my adult son and I came in to enjoy supper. upon entering, we went up to the wait station. there was a person behind there that said they couldn't even help us because she was already punched out. so we had to wait for someone to seat us about 5 minutes. I looked around and 2 wait staffs were rolling silverware w/napkins. I don't know where the other one came from but she seated us. we waited another 10 minutes for our waitress to come out. she took our drink and food order all at once. my son got his lemonade right away. I didn't get my can off soda until after the food and I told her I didn't get it yet. The food that was ordered was a nutterburger with mexican street corn. The burger was a solid 5 out of 10. It was dry and I ordered it medium. the corn was bland, not like any Mexican street corn I've had before. My son got pick 4 appetizers. onion rings; which were cold. The chicken tenders were overcooked and dry. The chili cheese fries were super soggy not even crunchy. The jalapeño poppers were not fully cooked and the bacon tasted burnt. The sauce was supposed to be Thai chili seemed like something sweet. We were asked how stuff was as we barely tasted anything. She came to see if we were done and asked if we wanted a box and I asked for the bill right away. She came back with both at the same time after 10 minutes of talking to a lady at the waitress station. I gave her $50 and my bill was $38 and she asked if I wanted change. Now there were only 2 other tables eating when we came in. Our waitress was nice, she smiled, was friendly but didn't seem like the customer was the priority. She at one point was even showing photos on her phone or whatever to the other worker at the waitress station. My dining experience was at best a 2. I am very disappointed to the point of writing this as a courtesy in hopes that it'll get better for others. I still left my waitress $6 even though.
I have reservations about eating there again after this experience.

I wanted to give more stars because we ate here several times on our trip. I am in the service industry in my state and I always tip. But when I ask for sides and I am willing to pay for it and then come to find out it actually came with the wrap and I still didn’t get it? Server rolled her eyes when I asked for salsa twice I might add. I still tipped 20% because it’s in my nature but I don’t want her to think she did a good job. I will not be back.

Have been there a few times over the years. Food was always pretty decent. I must admit, that I haven't been to Mad Apple since last summer, and boy does it seem like things have changed since then. If I had to guess, I'd say that everything we were served had been reheated and refrozen multiple times. The Mac n cheese off the kids menu had a pink hue to it and a weird texture, possibly from freezing it and reheating. The pulled chicken was super dry with no visible sauce and had a burnt like flavor as if it had been reheated over and over . ( Think how things taste that have been left to burn on the side of a crock pot)
Girlfriend's prime rib sandwich was super dry and tough. The lettuce in her side salad was wilted. With the quality of food being this poor, it lead us to believe that the restaurant itself is probably in trouble and trying to keep it head above water.....by freezing and reusing food.
Server didn't even bother to ask how our food was, ....we assumed that she didn't want to, as she knows the food sucks.

With all of the choices Appleton has to offer, it's safe to say we won't be back.

I have been a regular there for over a year. Walked in yesterday to the bar portion. There was one man to my right and two women to my left who were staying at the adjoining motel.
I was ignored for 10 minutes then Tracy finally came over to me and said “what do you want”. I ordered a 7&7. She went back to talking to the guy and going back several times to check/ask the gals if they were alright. A half hour passed and my drink was empty. After several trips pass me to check on the ladies I finally caught her attention to give her a twenty dollar bill and ask her to cash out. She asked me if I wanted any change. I said yes. I then asked me how much of a tip do I want to give. I said why would I. Her response was because you have to.

I ordered the "group therapy" platter from the appetizers section which came with cheese curds, baked wings, chicken tenders. Wings were absolutely delicious; the other 2 were okay. Boyfriend ordered the elk burger but only after he tried to order the bison burger which they were out of. When we received the food it was hot but the elk burger appeared to be a pre-pressed burger pattie that was frozen. It was not tasty in any way so much so that he didn't eat it and we ended up leaving it. Total bill came out to almost $60 for the 2 of us.

We have been here numerous time and never had an issue until tonight. The burgers are pretty good. The poutine is also good. I suggest the wings over anything. DO NOT GET THE STEAK. Four of us ordered a steak and it took an hour and half to receive. Steak was not made how we ordered and had no flavor. The scallops were 6 dollars but they were sooooo small that it wasn’t even worth it. Asparagus came out cold. Mac n cheese was good and the mashed potatoes were delicious. Waitress was super helpful and genuine. Also, the breakfast buffet in the morning is not recommended.

The chicken tenders I got were hard & dry and the breading was chewy not crispy. The fries that came with weren't any better. Surprisingly, the waitress was taking a long time even though there was barely anyone there for food.

First night we visited Kandy in the bar. She was a delight behind the bar. Second day had breakfast was very good but service was a little slow seemed understaffed. Ordered hash browns but got fried potatoes.

We stopped for dinner one night around 8/8:30 pm. Was greeted by a very nice waitress and seated immediately. Place seemed pretty empty so we got our food right away. Cheese curds were great with an amazing marinara, the basic cheese burger was good and moist, the mushroom Swiss burger was a bit dry, fried were good and hot.

Nice place looks beautiful staff is friendly food is very disappointing we ordered take out and i hit home opened it up and this is how it looked first i didnt realized that hardy white ment white bread instead of a white bun i didn't want a brioche bun just a whitr bun. my bacon wasn't fully cooked the one this piece of lettuce is barley a piece of lettuce the fries are limp but look like they burnt to a crisp amd cold I'm extremely disappointed and this was my first and last experience with them

The best food I had in Appleton! My wife and I stayed at the Clarion hotel which is attached to the resteraunt. They gave us vouchers for 6.50 off our breakfast. Everything we had for breakfast over 3 days was absolutely excelent! They had the best food made from scratch. We also went to comedy night which was great! I got to try the nutter burger which has a peanut butter sauce on it. It sounds wierd, but it was excellent. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

This place is like a hidden gem! Inside it has the coolest space, wood, rustic, fun outdoor patio etc! The food is soooo good. 100% homemade! All bread, sauces, burgers...meals all homemade! Nothing from a can! The nut job burger soooo good! Quesidilla sticks omg packed full of steak and fresh peppers and onions!

Breakfast was also great! The hash was sooo big and loaded! My husband loved the breakfast burrito and Philly omelet!

Our last day there (we stayed next door) the owner came out and talked to us! Such a great guy who works hard to make a great restaurant!!

When I first walked in and sat at the bar I was ignored. Bartender was attending to 4 people (total of 6 people including me at the bar) and apparently their story was very exciting for 5 minutes. Finally I asked what time they close and was told they were closing a half hour earlier than they were, so I chugged my drinks and left. Turns out I could’ve casually drank my drinks until the real time they were going to close. Also as I gave my money to the bartender her coworker walks past her and says for her to not give me any change. I could just hear it because the music was so loud. The only alright thing was the bartender did give me my change but it was for her any way. I won’t go there again. I was treated very poorly. I didn’t get a chance to play a game of pool which is the whole point of the place.

Food was amazing! And the prices were extremely reasonable. Theres sauces are made in house along with their bread and buns. The kids meal was hand breaded chicken strips and they even gave my kid a homemade cookie for dessert. Its also has a nice atmosphere. Definitely going back!

The billiards portion of Mad Apple is amazing. They have a lot of tables and some great setups, including options for party rooms and a feature table where your games are streamed online. They also have excellent foosball tables and a well-set-up patio. The employees (I think one was the owner) were very friendly.

The scratch kitchen at Mad Apple Burger & Billiard Company is a great concept, and some of the food was very good, while other dishes were just okay. They do offer a kids' menu, but we encountered some issues. I'm not sure if it was our waitress or the way the menu is set up, but we were charged for extra items that were supposed to be included, and a few items were missing the first time around. The kids with me usually enjoy their meals at most places, but most of them didn't care for the kids' meals here. On a positive note, the appetizer was very good! Overall, I think the best food was the traditional bar food.

Heard good things, but was disappointed. The service was pretty good, but we had to go ask for the bill - it wasn't busy, they were just inattentive.
The food.. *le sigh* The chili burger wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese and the chili lacked flavor. Cold mashed potatoes and gravy.. and didn't taste good. Overcooked fries that were not freshly made.. soggy. The onion rings were great, though.
Nice place.. clean and inviting atmosphere. Not enough to get us to come back though.
$70 for three people with burgers and two small appetizers. Not worth it.

I went here on a date this last week and It wasn't busy but a few tables were taken with bigger groups. I although loved the atmosphere, and their chicken strips were amazing in the appetizer!!! They come very big and I think about 6 of them I couldn't even finish them with my fries. I have been craving them since I left. I will definitely be back for those and some time for open pool😊

The food was pretty alright. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. I think the burgers could have used more seasoning. The garlic roasted brussel sprouts were perfect tho! I got their Looney Shrooms and Swiss burger (no bun), and my friend got the Morning Madness burger with fries. Service was slightly slow but everyone is understaffed right now so can't complain too much about that. The inside is pretty cool looking and the women's bathroom had free sanitary napkins and floss picks which I've never seen before and think is amazing.

It's a shame the service is so atrocious because the food is great. We waited for 10 minutes while our drinks sat at the bar. Our waitress was too busy talking to her coworker so we walked out. This is the second time a waitress was too busy talking to get our order. Very disappointing... No wonder the place is almost always empty. I'm guessing the pool hall keeps it going 🤔. We won't go back.
