***Our family went to Easter Brunch & it was chaos. The host looked like he was ready to have a nervous breakdown. My sister asked a worker wearing pleather tight pants a question on her way back to our table & the gal said "I don't know I am just the bartender" why was she clearing tables then? She needs customer service training. They seemed short staffed, as they ran out of plates & staff was running around like crazy. They didn't refill our water & we got our juice & coffee when we were almost done with our brunch. This place has been open for many years ~ we thought it would be more organized. On a positive note the food was good, but paying that much & not getting any service & having to leave a tip didn't feel right.

We visited the Marq supper club for the first and last time last Friday with two other. Couples. The food was rather disappointing. The perch on the menu was ocean perch, which was disappointing to the person that ordered it. The ribeye was the worst one we ever had - it was all cordy and chewy. The bar service was good. We hired the Marq to cater for our wedding at the Vickery Village in Suamico. We had about 150 guests to feed. Tyler was great to work with! Very communicative leading up to our big day. Chef Bryan nailed it! All of our guests loved their meal! We got three entrees; broasted chicken, chicken Florentine and pot roast. All of it was amazing. We couldn’t be happier with selecting them for our dinner. Professional and overall a really great staff to work with. I had been wanting to come here for a while now.. then I finally went yesterday Friday 13,2024 highly disappointed. The salad bar was empty in a few, no cheese spread or liver spread offered, one soup that was basically empty no restock. Large tables for 2 people, I prefer not a large table for 2 however all tables were big, waitress didn’t even understand our order had to come back and ask. If you want a twice baked or a grautin extra 2$ with meal. Not many options. Definitely not a typical supper club. More a bar for enjoyment, however we will not be back. We had our wedding at the Marq at the end of July and everything was perfect! We were able to have our ceremony and reception all at one place, which was important to us. The ceremony spot with the arbor by the willow tree worked great for our 150 guests, and the lights in the trees at night were beautiful!! The reception space was set up and decorated better than I could have imagined. The food was DELICIOUS and the staff did a great job with the dinner service.
I can't say enough how happy we are with our experience at The Marq. The event planner, Laura, was there to answer any questions and offer her assistance throughout the whole process. She answered all of our emails in a timely manner and had so many great ideas to offer when it came to decorating, creating the timeline, and making sure things that needed to happen, happened. Our experience at The Marq was one that we will not forget and are so happy that we were able to celebrate our big day there!

We are so glad we went back to the Marq after not being there for a couple of yrs. The owner has put his heart & soul in revamping the restaurant. It was a perfect Friday date night. BEAUTIFUL grounds, patio with acoustic live music & patio bar. Old fashioned and grasshoppers were 'to the T'. Crab cakes were better than ones I had in Maine. You can tell they use high end ingredients but prices are not pricey. My husband said fish fry was perfect tasting. Waitress/bartender gave great service. And clean! Too many restaurants are messy and dirty which to me means they don't really care. We got to talk to the owner & one can tell that he really cares and tries to make his place the go-to place. We will be rounding up friends & family to continue to patronize.

I just had my wedding at the Marq less than a week ago. The food was delicious and my guest raved about the venue. Laura was amazing to work with. She was friendly, replied to emails/messages quickly, and never made me feel like I was bothering her with my questions. I live in Las Vegas and wanted to have my wedding in town where my husband grew up. Everything went smoothly and all the staff were wonderful. In 1966 at a little bar in Greenville Corners I had broasted chicken so good that none I've had since could compare -- until tonight. This was our first visit to the Marq and everything about the three broasted chicken specials we ordered was outstanding. The chicken was hot, juicy and very tasty - even the white meat! The mashed potatoes and gravy were right out of mom's kitchen; the baked potato was perfect; the cole slaw was amazing. But the chicken, well the chicken was just out of this world good!! Man-size servings came out quickly. The hostess and all the staff were pleasant and welcoming. The price was half what dinner costs in most restaurants in the area. The Marq broasted chicken is my new standard, against which all others will forever be compared.

Don't order the perch! I have eaten perch here a few times in the past and it was great with a nice size portion, but recently it changed. Last time we ate there it was a single large butterfly for $23 and it was not perch. I don't know what type of fish it was but definitely not yellow lake perch. A couple weeks later I was talking to someone who had the perch there and they complained about the same thing.

My wife had the haddock and it was good, but the breading was too salty.

We decided to check out The Marq when we first started planning our wedding and it was recommended to us. We loved the banquet hall and were excited that they had ceremony space options that would allow us to keep the entire event in the same location.

Laura, the Catering Manager, was excited to help and happily answered every one of my many questions. In the months leading up to our day, she helped me to plan and make decisions about decor, food options and other details. When our rehearsal dinner and wedding day approached and we got to meet the rest of the staff and General Manager, Kevin, we were really blown away by their helpfulness - every person seemed like they genuinely love what they do.

Our ceremony was at the Arbor, one of their two ceremony spaces, and our reception followed in the banquet hall. Our guests enjoyed a beautiful ceremony surrounded by willow trees, delicious food and dessert, a full bar, a dance floor and space outside to play yard games or sit and enjoy the fire pit. It was perfect, there were no hiccups whatsoever (at least none that we were made aware of), it was exactly what we had envisioned, and it was all made possible as The Marq went above and beyond.

Just to speak a little more into how great the staff is, we stopped in for Fish Fry on Friday, and they remembered us, remembered details about our wedding and were excited that we had come back to visit.

There is so much more we could say, but will conclude with this. The Marq helped us make our wedding a perfect day, we have no doubt they would do so for you, too. We could not more highly recommend this place.

Been wanting to try The Marq for awhile now. Decided to go there on 2/3/2023. Drinks were good along with the atmosphere. Got the perch . Very disappointed with it. Never in all my Friday fish fries saw such little shriveled up perch. They were so so. Later talked to a friend about it, who used to work at a bar frying perch. She said that happens when the fish is fried too long. Had leftovers that we forgot at the table and came back to get them after about 5 minutes. The styrofoam container was gone. Asked if they knew where is was as it was only a matter of minutes and we hadn’t even left the building ! Staff went into the kitchen and brought back some perch and fries in a DIFFERENT container!! Not sure if they dug them out of the garbage or what happened. Needless to say they were thrown out and we do not plan to go back there.

MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENT!! Save your $ for Friday fish fry. $23.69 per plate for the smallest perch EVER. You can see in the pic the fillet is almost the same size as a french fry. Menu says 7 perch fillets per plate and both of our orders only had 6 itty bitty things. We did a carryout order & were charged an additional $4.14 carryout fee & $1.50 convenience fee (not including a tip). Never again paying over $25 for some fried "goldfish". Only positive was the 1 order of haddock was decent.
**UPDATE** Less than 24hrs after posting this review we were contacted by staff and offered a refund (in the form of a gift card) for our 2 perch orders. We haven't been back yet so I can't comment on the quality of the food beyond our first experience, but I did want to acknowledge the great customer service and willingness to "make it right" with their customers. We went Thursday 5/26/22. Our dinner room was empty yet our waitress did not come by us to see what we needed. We had 9 people in our group and she only came by our table 3 times, when we tried to reach her. We won a free drink at Bingo and she was told to deduct from our tab 2 times but she never did and we paid for it, as I seen on my slip today and not happy about that either. I would like a refund for this, not a credit. Our whole table of people was upset because she would not come around so hard to have fun with people upset. If you are considering having your wedding at the Marq, we cannot recommend a better venue. Everything about our wedding day when smoother and was better because of the amazing people at the Marq.

We had been to weddings at the Marq previously and loved the decor and layout. So when we decided to talk with Laura, we felt we knew what we were getting into. But she and the rest of the staff at the Marq went so far beyond what we were expecting that we cannot recommend any vendor more than the Marq.

When we first started meeting with Laura she was super responsive and genuinely seemed excited for our wedding. She was eager to help out in any way she could, but yet respectful and encouraging of our unique decisions that made our wedding our own. We especially appreciated that she was able to offer us some of their own decorations to use, at no extra cost. We were so sold on Laura that we really let her manage the decorating of the room. Other than the few directions we asked her to take care of, we had no idea what the room was going to look like. When we got there it looked like a fairytale. Laura and the staff took care of the majority of the setup and take down of the decorations and we were so glad they did. They did a much better job than we could have ever by ourselves.

Another unique aspect of the Marq was our ability to sit down with the chef and try out the dishes we were considering for our guests. We got time with the chef and he was willing to tweak his recipes to accommodate any changes we requested (i.e. less garlic, too salty, etc.). However, we did not need to tweak a single thing. This was probably the best wedding food we had ever had!

One of the other accommodations that sold us on the Marq was their ability to offer fireworks. We really loved the idea of offering this as our party favor and got to double this up for us with some amazing photos and videos. As excited as we were about the fireworks show our photographer, videographer, and guests were more so. We got a lot of great feedback from the firework show after the wedding and our friends and family cannot stop raving about our firework photos.

Finally, the staff at the Marq was amazing. They really made the night run super smooth and made us feel like family every single time we were there. Jake, Mr. Robert, Laura, and Mike are some of the absolute standouts. There is absolutely nothing we can complain about or would change. We really felt like our wedding day was better because of the accommodations and support the Marq gave us. If you are able to meet with Laura we highly recommend it!

Went for the first time this past Friday. Wife and I had the Perch Fish Fry. You get a huge portion of Perch for the serving, very filling. No reservation needed, and got seated right away. The Waitress was very polite, friendly, and attentive and our food order was out quickly.
Also the Old Fashions we had were really good. 2 for 1 happy hour.

Outstanding Friday Night fish at the Marq. The atmosphere is very classy. Even though it is designed for banquets, it serves dinner well too. Food was superb and service was excellent with a personal touch from the owner himself. Plenty of room for seating and at the bar for pre dinner cocktails. Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as crowded as other places on a Friday night. Thank you The Marq for a very enjoyable dinner and evening out!

A+ all around, my fiancée and I came in just to check out the venue as a normal customer and everything from service to food was great! They accommodated very well to a late arriving party. Also even extended our dinner past the order cut off time without pressure. Highly recommend and we hope to Secure our wedding reception here in the near future, Great job!

We had our wedding ceremony, dinner and reception here on May 15th and cannot thank everyone enough. They went above and beyond to make our day special. The first time we met with them they treated us like family and still continue to do so. Our guests cannot stop raving about how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was , how great the drinks were , how welcoming and friendly each and every person was, and how absolutely breathtaking the fireworks were. We highly recommend The Marq for everything from your special event to a night out with friends. I wish I could give them a 10 star rating because they definitely deserve it they delivered nothing but perfection!!!!!!

We live very nearby the Marq and decided to finally try it for my hubby's birthday. I pity the staff as there are about half enough people working. The drinks were amazing as was our very friendly, hard-working bartender! The wings and bread basket were good. The main entree was extremely overpriced, overcooked, and after a 2-hour wait, a bitter disappointment to say the least. The extremely pleasant and overworked server gave us a complimentary dessert, which we took in a to-go container. Her name was Elizabeth, and she deserves a raise! Bottom line, we dropped about $100 on 5 drinks, some wings, and bread. I hate to say it, but I doubt this place will last!!

Wife and I stopped in for Friday Fish Fry. The Old Fashioned's were handmade and very good. Drink prices are reasonable and the Double Bubble was a great deal. My wife had the fried Haddock and she said it was the best she's ever had. I had the fried Walleye and it was amazing as well. Both had a unique seasoning that is different from the typical supper club fare. Both were served with fries and the seasoning again was great on the fries. The tartar sauce they use must be homemade, again not your typical NE Wisconsin tartar sauce, same goes for the coleslaw. We thought the prices were maybe a bit high but the taste, portion size, and drinks will bring us back. There were a lot of staff there. The size of the place lends itself to social distancing we felt very safe. The owner is friendly and walks around greeting guests. We were kind of blown away.

Just had an event at the Marq this past Friday. Would HIGHLY reccomend. Staff was extremely professional, helpful, and responsive. Our work setting up the event was much easier because the staff and Marq team were so helpful.
