My dad and I wanted to go to the Mineshaft to eat and then play some of the games in the gameroom. Decided we would eat first before gaming. It's a Friday so we were expecting some wait.
Once seated the waitress took our order. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a fish fry special, and a chicken parm pasta meal. Mozzarella sticks came out fine. It was the only decent food we got.
The fish fry came out and it was 2 small pieces that were coated in grease and the tater tot side was ice cold. The chicken parm pasta was disgusting. The chicken was burnt and the garlic bread side was dripping in grease. Neither my dad or myself finished our plates of food from being nauseous.
We told the waitress and we got the mozzarella sticks off our bill. We both felt so sick after eating that we decided to leave without playing any games in the gameroom.
The waitress was fine but the food was absolutely horrible. Sad to say it but I will never go back.

1st time here this past weekend. Was really excited as everyone said you try it the food is good. We ordered prime rib and it was horrible. Had absolutely no flavor taste bland my wife's Tenderloin was same way. I tried her baked potatoe soup because our waiter never brought me my chili that was supposed to come w the meal but he wouldn't bring it. But brought out everyone else's salads n soups. Her soup was over Salty only thing we ate that had flavor. Our waiter was just as bad as our food never asked how food was didnt bring out half our food as we had to ask him to bring it out. And as said he wouldn't bring out my soup that was offered w the meal. Over priced cafeteria food. Extremely disappointed for the hype will not be returning or recommending!

It has to be one of the dumbest things I come across in restaurants that offer a all you can eat fish fry, but don't allow you to get more French fries. It basically means they think the fries are more expensive than the fish.
TMS even offers a all you can eat Shrimp at $12.99, but won't let you sub in some fish as a reorder ( AYCE fish is $8.99).
As a family, We like this restaurant and come here often, but this was the first time getting the all you can eat shrimp. It looked and tasted like the prebreaded frozen shrimp you get at the store. It had no flavor, not even the breading had flavor. The fish on the other hand, was very good.
And our service was great as usual.
I highly recommend this restaurant, just don't do the breaded shrimp.

Phenomenal pizza, highly recommend the sausage. Other menu items were super average, mediocre. Had the reuben, more cheese than meat in there. They had some Mexican options on the menu that seemed out of place and strange. Boyfriend ordered the burrito to investigate and they should definitely stick to american fare and pizza.

A couple Friday's ago, my awesome 93 year old kinda step Dad and I went to the Mineshaft in Hartford for a fish fry. My friend Dennis stepped into the restroom and I mentioned to the young lady who took us to our table that we got there a little later than we intended to, that my awesome 93 year old buddy retired from the Navy, sometimes gets tired and naps, but that day he hadn't, so I wasn't sure how long he would last, she took us to our table Immediately after he exited the restroom, other's were waiting to be seated b4 us, but respectfully took us 1st. They waited on us excellently, ordered right away cuz we thought we knew what we were going to have, but when asked of the specials, we decided to have the all you can eat breaded perch for $11.99 & a strawberry 🍓 margarita🍹for Dennis & a raspberry margaritas margarita🍹for me. I was very hungry and actually ate 6 pieces!!! The food was DELICIOUS and it came out to us extremely fast. Great experience, definitely coming back!!!! Deep fried coffee fish fry is $7.99, you can't go anywhere for that price! Come 👀 for yourselves, HUGE gaming room upstairs too. I give them a 10!!! Raises all around!!!! A lot of young HS / college kid's working HARD with a great smile 😃 on their faces, bringing a wonderful experience to all ages. Going as many times as I can.

Just ate fish fry their Wednesday and only issue we had was we asked the hostess if their were any specials she said it was happy hour until 5 and half price drinks just need to order from the bar. We got seated at a booth and went to the bar to order drinks. When we got done eating went to the bar to pay the bill and it was all charged full price because we didn't eat at the bar so they say. We have eaten here numerous times we have had good and bad experiences. We took the kids here to eat and play upstairs. Amanda was our server and she delivered one of the best experiences I have ever had! She was wonderful. She started out by interacting with my kids and talking to them, she knew the menu and answered all questions. My 3 year old was asking for a gumball as soon as we sat down. I said once you eat we will get one before we leave. We all had ordered and food arrived and was not “Auctioned” off she placed them in front of all the correct places. Our drinks were never empty. I had ordered the prime rib and asked for horseradish sauce. She said they do not have any, but they do have horseradish and said she could probably make one. Lo and behold she did and brought to the table. And it was great! Even asked to bring the left over home. ( I know it does not take much to make this sauce, the gesture and proactively making it was above and beyond) after our meal she noticed my 3 year old ate most of his spaghetti. When she brought the bill she had 4 gum balls in a jar for my kids to share! I was impressed she over heard and reacted and probably spent her own tip $.. I get it is only $1 but again. The gesture and kindness she showed. And it was my wife and I along with our 4 kids. Thank You again for turning a simple night out into a great family memory and we had a blast playing up stairs!

I don't even know what to say about this place. While I did not try the loaded tots, I did have some pizza and appetizers from the mini motherload. The pizza was very tasty with a generous amount of toppings. We went for their Thursday deal which is buy one pizza, get one free.

The broccoli poppers are to die for. Perfectly crisp and very cheesy on the inside. The broccoli itself is not one floret, it's lots of small pieces. Which I enjoyed very well.

The chicken strips breading is very thin, not very crunchy, but the chicken was oh so juicy.

I'm not a fan of wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks but these did not disappoint. They wrap them in house and they are very flovorful with the right amount of crisp.

I don't have details for the loaded tots as I did not try them. However, the people I was with loved them. You can see from the photo that they are definitely loaded.

We stopped for the fish fry last night with friends. It was delicious, but the highlight really was the service by RICHIE. This guy hustled... he kept the guys happy by replenishing their AYCE perch and refilling our drinks before we could ask for them. He was pleasant, friendly, and wildly efficient. He serviced his tables so well, and stopped to help a coworker clean up a dropped and broken plate without missing a beat. Such a great server. If we could have him every time, I think we'd visit the Mineshaft a whole lot more! Thanks, Richie, you made our night!

The fish fry is great and all you can eat. The fish batter breading was just the right thickness and nicely flavored. All four of our party asked for an additional piece of fish and it was served in just a few minutes. It's a noisy, bar-like atmosphere, which makes conversation difficult. Ordered AYCE shrimp, poor man's lobster, and perch. Food tasted fine, the perch were great, baked haddock a lil plain but still good and they originally only brought out 2 pieces of fish instead of typical 3, shrimp were decent pile but overcooked, so we reordered another round straight away, another 2 pieces fish each and more overcooked shrimp... so put in for another round of fish no more shrimp and we expected to be enough. Had 1 piece of fish each and fries left over so we ate 5 of 6. My mother ate half the over-crispy shrimp & I had some too, but instead of allowing us to box up our leftovers we were told by the waitress who gave great service btw & was very apologetic but said management wouldn't allow take home boxes of any ayce fish or shrimp. Im talking 1 singular piece of fish each and some unfinished fries. So instead she took the fish and shrimp to be tossed in the garbage rather than allow us to take home. She brought boxes for the potato & fry sides but It's not like we ordered a whole plate of food to not eat & just take home... it was a family of 4 dinner 3 adults 1 kid and I haven't seen my mom in years and it was her birthday. The bill was 100 bux with tip and a drink each with my daughter having kids meal. It was just the whole vibe felt cheapened by that wasted fish & overdone shrimp, although the service was excellent their 'rule' of not allowing us to box up our humble leftovers just put a bad taste in our mouths not to mention no credit for the overcooked shrimp, and we didn't bother asking to see a manager about it either, we were just ready to leave & try not let the treatment at the end dampen our vibes although it wasn't that big if a deal, it still kinda was cuz it changed the whole vibe and atmosphere at the dinner table. Used to drive from milwaukee to take my kids there once pr twice a month, took a break for almost a year, and now instead of returning once a month, it might turn back into months or year again. Usually a good time for the kids in the arcade, decent food and prices overall but when you put it all together it adds up quick, so after my last experience I'm not in a rush to go back at this point in time.

We ordered 12 wings with honey bbq sauce. When they were served, the sauce was orange, clearly not honey bbq. We asked our waitress and they confirmed the sauce was honey bbq. Upon taste testing, they were covered in some mustard sauce. Not at all what we ordered and were told we were wrong!

My wife and I hosted a friend and his wife at the Mineshaft in Hartford, Wisconsin on Sunday, May 4 2025. The food was food
was good and we were busily talking. The waitress, Hannah, brought the bill. I looked at it and found out about the extra charge for using a credit card so I paid in cash. The bill was $87.83 and I gave the waitress $105. Unfortunately, I really didn't look at all the charges on the bill. On the way back home. a 45 minute drive, I was trying to figure out if the billing was correct. It kept bothering me. I kept feeling that I was overcharged or it wasn't my bill. I had no receipt because Hannah didn't bring me one or they don't provide one, so I was mentally going over the bill in my mind. I still had the feeling I was overcharged. I have learned a lesson and should've REALLY LOOKED at the bill! My daughter had the same situation the last time she was at this same Mineshaft, and now she doesn't go there very often and when she does, she definitely looks over the entire billing. Just a note to all to be aware of what the charges are before you order and check the billing before you pay. Something did not feel right!

The restaurant got pretty noisy as it started to fill up with dinner people. We had made a reservation for a "late lunch"
Once the Mineshaft saw my review, the owner, he/she asked me to call them within the message. I did. I left a message with the staff who answered, as the "owner" was in Canada. This is now day 2....Called a 2nd time for the "owner". Was told he was in Oshkosh and I could try there. I told them that I didn't really care that the owner didn't think enough of me and group that he couldn't return the call he asked me to make to him, twice now as he has lost me, my whole family and friends. The food was average bar food. The mozzarella sticks are probably the best thing on the menu. The pizza is all right as well. Nothing to write home about. This place could use some good smoke barbecue to put it on the map.

the food was not that good, our server abandoned us to talk to a coworker halfway through our meal and other people around us were gitting similar treatment. we ended up grabbing our own drinks from the bar.
