BREAKFAST!!! The breakfast is the best and most eclectic that I have seen in years. You absolutely have to try their, weekend only, breakfast. The menu choices are interesting and VERY tasty. I had to try the bologna benedict. It might sound odd but it was one of the very best breakfast items I have ever had. The owls nest was also superb. I can hardly wait to get over there again to try all the other items that I wanted. They also offer other yummy midday items all week long. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Ate at this place 3 times within a short period of time. The burgers are always poorly cooked and they overuse sauces and cheeses to accommodate for the lack of flavor and quality in the beef. Imagine it like if you had a pasta and it was coated in Parmesan, or if you had rice that was in a soup of soy sauce, thats what there burgers are like, overwhelming use of sauces and cheeses. Exterior and interior is a Trojan Horse.

We were in Janesville visiting relatives and handling business when my aunt mentioned fish fries. That got me Googling, and The Owl Bar & Grill had the best reviews—they weren't exaggerating!

My fiancé is incredibly picky, and after eating fish multiple times a week, I thought I was done with it. But the moment she ordered the two-piece fried fish dinner, I knew we were in for something special. The portions were generous—what was supposed to be two pieces felt more like six compared to other places. Then came the smell: fresh, crisp, like it had just been pulled from the ocean. One bite off her plate, and I was stunned. My fiancé, who spent most of her life in Washington state and knows what real sea-to-market fish tastes like, declared it the best she'd had since moving back to Wisconsin.

And while the food was exceptional, the service made the experience unforgettable. Our waitress, Kim, was phenomenal. When she learned I was hard of hearing, she went out of her way to stand where I could see her before speaking—an incredible touch, especially in a packed restaurant.

I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The pricing was more than reasonable, especially compared to fast food joints that charge just as much for a mediocre burger.

The Owl Bar & Grill is a rare gem that serves flavorful, nostalgic, high-quality food alongside genuinely kind, old-school customer service—the kind that's harder to find these days. We can't thank them enough for the care and effort they put into every meal and interaction. Highly recommend stopping in for a meal that tastes like home.

This was an unplanned dinner stop but a surprise to be sure. We absolutely enjoyed the meal. Our server Amy was very helpful as she answered all our questions happily. The cheese curds are NOT shareable. But the food was fantastic.

I grabbed the dessert of the month which was a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake! I went to take a picture of it and it was gone!

Really nice restaurant located in Evansville WI, with really friendly staff. Even the owners are amazing & very welcoming & personable. They sometimes walk around and make sure you're having a good experience which is really rare for any restaurant. The food is always good. It's fun atmosphere they have a bunch of TVs so people can watch sports or whatever. They also have pool tables, darts and electronic gadgets to play with. They do trivia on Thursday nights. They have bags in warmer months. And probably a bunch of other things that I don't know about. It's a fun atmosphere to get together with friends or family. Or celebrate a special event 🤩 For food I like the pork nachos with jalapenos. Their pizzas are really delicious. Honestly Everything I've tried there is usally really good! Like I mentioned they have really friendly staff and great service. U should check it out if you're ever in town and looking for a place to eat.

We arrived after a hockey game with 3 different families. Our family had 8 people - 4 adults and 4 kids. It was very slow on a Sunday afternoon. However it took a long time to seat us. We were told that the kids couldn’t sit together. She said we needed to have an adult at the table so she could figure out who to give the food to. She also said we had to sit with our families. Everyone was sitting with their own families but she didn’t take a moment to understand that. The girl said this is a problem when people come in after kids events and want the kids to sit together. She had a complete attitude. The salads we had were amazing. The personality of the server just overtook the entire meal for us. We let the kids sit together and we paid on one tab. She freaked out over nothing.

I tried to call to give feedback directly but the mailbox was full. Server in training did not have a trainer with her. Server offered Pelican fish for fish fry instead of Polluck. Server was going to take a beer away, which was still a 1/3 full, when the second one was ordered. Server offered to clear drinks after we payment even though half full and we were still drinking/talking. Not her fault. Shes obviously super green and needs TRAINING. Our meals were served 10 minutes apart from each other. The 12oz steak had a market price on the menu that ended up being over $30 for a grisly steak. Our flat fountain sodas were over $2 each. I recently stopped by for lunch and opted to sit at the bar, although there was plenty of seating available in the main dining area. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by both the host and the owner, making us feel like old friends. I decided to try the Mac Attack, which was cooked to perfection just as I had requested. As a fun twist, Their grown-up version of the fried baloney sandwich, is surprisingly delicious—definitely a nostalgic treat worth trying! Both go fabulous with their beer fries or a side of beer cheese soup. This is Wisconsin!

In addition to the great food, the restaurant offers a wide selection of specialty beers, hard seltzers, and other drinks. The lunch service was quick, the meal was delicious, and the prices were reasonable, making it a much better alternative to typical fast food options. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that left me satisfied and eager to return.

This was one of the few places open after we moved to Evansville. We arrived about a half hour before the kitchen closed--usually a recipe for stale, poorly cooked food. Waiter seated our family and was perfectly attentive, always around when we needed something, but never intrusive. He provided excellent recommendations. The blackened chicken cucumber wrap was delightful. My wife had the jalapeno popper grilled cheese--fantastic. Atmosphere was family friendly, but also a great place to throw an adult party. Everything we ate was well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

We met friends here late 2021 and I’ve been jonesing since for the chicken wrap my friend ordered. I NEVER order a wrap but hers looked delicious and grilled some and HUGE. So we returned. They have 2 chicken options that both look great. She thought she would have had the chicken bacon so I went with that. Side options included Baby Bakers .. described as small potatoes deep fried. Both were sooo tasty .. Bakers dipped in sour cream. I had a half wrap to reheat in the air fryer another day and it was delicious then as well. DH enjoyed a Pretzel bun burger with bacon goat cheese garlic spread. Also yum. Outside seating and Guinness on tap. Life is good ❤️

Terrible place, terrible ownership. The food is so unbelievably sub par I wouldn’t feed it to either my worst enemy or a stray cat. Pretty sure I saw managment stealing tips aswell. Where are the other managers? Sleeping in the office? Disgraceful, won’t ever come back.
