I ordered pizza, did pick up to go. It was A+!! Also had pizza fries. Sausage and pepperoni with mushrooms. Tons of toppings…cheese, meat….pepperoni was thick sliced (not short cut store bought) not to mention authentic delicious flavor! You wont be disappointed! Free delivery within 4 miles of Baldwin (gotta spend $25)

This little cafe is truly a gem! The pizzas were outstanding, the hamburgers and appetizers delicious, and the fresh homemade pie absolutely perfect. The owner and staff welcomed us with genuine small-town friendliness and went out of their way to accommodate our large group with such kindness. Portions were generous, and the food was some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Hands down the best small-town cafe we’ve been to—highly recommend.

My daughter used to eat breakfast here all the time, and she loved it. She would tell me that she would eat at the counter and visit with the old timers. I have been wanting to try it ever since. So, this morning was finally the day. I sat down at the counter, grabbed a menu, and was served an OJ. I then waited. I put my menu down in front of me to show I was ready to order, and waited. I surfed on my phone, and waited. The waitress was finally coming over, but stopped at the couple next to me and took their order…then left. I waited. I even staired at one of the waitress’s for about a minute. We had eye contact and everything, but I still waited. After 21 minutes of waiting, I paid for the OJ and left. I would have much rather had eaten a great breakfast and be leaving a good revue. But instead, I am leaving a 1-star review and will never be going back. Bad service.

The club sandwich is great, almost too much turkey if that's possible! Cheese curds are good too. Unfortunately had the hot beef sandwich last night and the meat was as tough as a tire, the gravy was worse than hospital gravy and the mashed potatoes were flavorless. Sorry guys! We had our hopes up for it as this is one of very few items on the menu, and we had tried ordering it previously and they were out of beef. Maybe we will try the pizza another time?

**UPDATED*** The new owners are nice. Food was just ok. Tv is nice but too loud. The older people there had hard time. It's nice to have the Cafe open again but I miss Val's aka V&J's, and Shelly's! The food had flavor when those ladies owned it plua the servers knew what they were doing. Anyhow, thanks for under cooked omlet. Coffee was good!

What a hidden treasure! I ordered the soup and sandwich, with a cup of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. It was delicious! Then I had to have a slice of pie to finish it off, coconut cream. It's a small diner, but the flavor is so much bigger. Highly recommend!!!

Been there twice now. First time I had the daily special and it was a phenomenal club sandwich. Second time ordered the pizza including one of their “ go-to’s” a bbq chicken, was amazing( banana peppers , who would have guessed)! Owners are wonderful. Thought the pricing was a bonus, overall thrilled with the overall experience.

My wife and I stopped in today for lunch. There were two young girls waitressing. We sat down at a table and nobody acknowledged that we were even there. There were only 4 other people in the cafe. We sat there for 15 minutes and still no acknowledgement. A family came in and sat down behind us. One of the waitresses took them menus. We got up and walked out after waiting 17 minutes. I don't think they even saw us leave! Very disappointing

You can pretty much ignore the old reviews on this place because it opened up with totally new owners, cook, and menu just a couple weeks ago. The lady who owns it is super sweet! It's been her dream to open her own restaurant and she does a great job! The food is amazing, we had a delicious burger with jalapeños, pepper jelly, and cream cheese and all those flavors complimented each other really well. We also got the daily special, a chicken bacon ranch wrap. It was a great deal and the best wrap I've had! Their cheese curds were also delicious! Overall, with the great food and awesome people, I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!

Just found V&J's Northside Cafe in Baldwin Wisconsin and stopped in for lunch with my wife.
Great food and desserts. I had the grilled cheese and ham sandwich. They used actual ham slices and not some shaved junk. The Banana Cream pie was equally impressive as well as my wife's food. All desserts are made from scratch by Val (the V in the V&J's). Prices were very reasonable.
The cafe interior includes a lunch counter with a foot rail and hooks for hat and coat.
Lastly, the bathrooms were exceptionally clean and orderly.

Just had an amazing lunch here today. My husband and I always try to find a nice hometown restaurant when we go through a smaller town. Made it in time to still get lunch. Val was great, made us feel at home. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with crinkle fries. Sounds simple enough but you'd be surprised how many bad ones I've had. The bread was perfectly browned, not burnt and the fries were piping hot. Our food was everything we hoped it would be, we'll be back.

We have memories from past years for this cafe before moving south to Texas! While planing our trip to Baldwin to have our son Marry long time friends daughter we made a point to return and enjoy this home town cafe. Located in downtown Baldwin WI. Small to average sized cafe that has very reasonably priced food. I went for breakfast and had a HUGE sausage patty, along woth 2 eggs medium, hash browns and toast. All very good and made up quickly. I like supporting local business. And you can’t beat the quality of the food and the low prices. This place that only serves breakfast but they have sandwiches and other specials that are just great. You’ll notice the menu in the pictures for breakfast and also for food items. Do yourself a favor, if you are in Baldwin and hungry… Drop on in… Do you think Steve-O that u did.

Val is still there with her always happy smile and greets all the regulars by their first name. Still feels like a place my mom would have started. Very friendly and great food)

If you ever find yourself in Baldwin looking for a place to eat, you can't go wrong with this place.
When you get there ask for Val, and tell her that Rabbitt sent you. Then watch her light up. It may be hard to see as she is always bright and happy.

This place is awesome. We stopped for breakfast & after that we ran down the road 2 unload at Smith Auction. After unloading we had 2 stop again on the way home 2 have lunch.
