After a fantastic first experience, we came back a second time. We spent $75 on a take out order. Upon getting home, we found we were missing our mozzarella sticks. We called and the lady on the phone said the realized that and they would put our name on a note for next time. ( We live in Rubicon and didn't want to drive back). The following week we called in an order. A different woman said there was no note but she would talk to the owners. When we picked up the order they said it never happened. After we left with our order I found on our receipt that we were charged $3 more for our Perch Fish Fries than posted on their menu online. Then I was charged $3 for a takeout fee for the fish fries. We also ordered a side and was charged another $1 takeout fee for that! We will NEVER GO BACK THERE. We were a good customer that tipped well and they ripped us off for mozzarella sticks and then at least another $10. I'm sorry I spent $275 there already!

During our recent visit, we ordered the prime rib, pan fried walleye, fried mushrooms, vegetables, and French fries. Everything was perfectly cooked. The mushroom appetizer was very good with the dipping sauce. For a small prime rib, it was plenty and there were leftovers. The side choosen were vegetables. Ample amount was served and we had enough to take home with our entrees. French fries were ordered to share and a basket full was provided. Rolls were also provided and the cracker basket was on the table with many options. The soup was very good. I think it was pot pie. Everyone was very nice.

For the past five years, I've driven past this place and was always curious to stop in. I wanted a fish fry tonight.

As a single mother with three little ones, it did not disappoint.

Anthony and Angie at the bar were so welcoming and friendly. As we waited for a table on a busy Friday night, they suggested a vodkda cocktail for me. Todd and Clayton made us feel like we've been there before.

I had the perch fish fry with home made German potatoe salad and clam chowder, my oldest (11) had the salmon and clam chowder and said it was amazing, my 9 year old had a cheeseburger and my daughter had the kid's hotdog.

The atmosphere and service was outstanding! The other patrons were so pleasant to be around and the table behind us bought $15.00 worth of pull tabs for my kids out of their generosity.

There was other staff that helped us and I never caught their name. But, as a previous restaurant worker, they hit it out of the park.

Cozy atmosphere you'll love from the minute you walk in.

My husband and I went for the first time 3/29/25. He had the frog legs (not my thing) he said they were really good and tasted like chicken lol. I had the broasted chicken (which actually did taste like chicken). Everything was hot and delicious and the bloody mary I had was very tasty. We will be going back often. Went there for the prime rib. Hadp a 6:30 reservation on New Years Eve, was sat at 7 (which was acceptable). Only a few tables in the restaurant. Took a long time for the waitress to take our order, when she did we found out they ran out of prime rib 10 min prior. Steaks were very tough & stringy. We've been here before but not for a while and it seems to have gone down hill. Service was decent not bad but nothing exceptional about the same as we remembered it. The atmosphere could be really nice as it's right by the lake but the views are just looking out at the parking lot I gave it a three mostly because the inside has an old time hunting/fishing lodge feel to it.
The real disappointment was the food we used to eat here 1 to 3 times a month when we lived in Slinger and enjoyed the food it wasn't high end steak house but it was good quality/quantity reasonably priced. This time Dusty had frog legs and I had the large tenderloin. The salads were ok a little wilty the deep fryed frog legs and onion rings were both pretty greasy like when the oil isn't hot enough but were edible. I ordered my tenderloin medium it came quite rare barely warm in fact. I reterned it to the kitchen when it came back it was still rare with a cold center I returned it again and it came back maybe medium rare. I decided not to infuriate the staff and cut my losses and finish cooking it at home. The brightest spot was the bar service was very good and nice full pour drinks are still reasonably priced. We don't get over that way too much anymore and probably won't waste another visit

On Wednesday it's all you can eat smelts. I love this place, I've only been to this place 2 times and plan to go often. First and probably last time experience for us.. nothing special, unless you're a local who likes to deal with a loud bar environment. There's not enough separation of the bar to the dining area,, way too loud - and this was before a 5:pm rush?. The floor (and table) seemed to pitch a bit downward the further north in the building you traveled, along with floor joists that have been overworked for years causing every step of a waitress or staff to move everything on the table, -- very annoying.

Food? it was ok, i had chicken/shrimp and she had shrimp.. Generous portions and it was ok ,, not enough of a wow factor to bring us back..

To each their own, good luck ,, maybe an earthquake like experience with high school cafeteria levels of noise is right up your ally? If so, you'll def enjoy it.

I wish I could leave a better review. We've been going to this place off and on for years and we're really disappointed today. Husband had a full rack of ribs, German potato salad and side salad. I had tenderloin steak, oven roasted potatoes and salad. Husband had coffee and I had an old fashioned. It was $80.

We've always loved the casual atmosphere and large portions but tonight was a disappointment. The ribs lacked size and flavor. My tenderloin was not tender or flavorful.

No complaints about the service. Our server was sweet and attentive.

I'm wondering if there's new ownership? Waitstaff was all different and the food quality was fair at best. Neither of us is picky either. I'm not sure if we'll go back.

Again, no complaints about service, cleanliness or anything like that. But if I spend $80, I expect tasty food. Disappointing.

This was our first time here. We had a gift certificate so we wentvon Saturday to redeem it.

We arrived about 5:30, just as the dinner rush was starting. When we arrived there were a few people at the bar. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to find us a table after a short wait. We ordered drinks at the bar while we waited for our table. The bartender was friendly and filled our order right away.

I had the Bacon and Cheese Curd Burger and a side of crinkle cut fries. The burger was different in a good way. With the burger, tomato, lettuce, bacon, pickles, cheese curds and bun it was very tall and a bit of a fun challenge. The side of fries were an additional $2 but well worth it as you receivec a huge pile of fries.

My wife ordered the the broasted chicken and a side of twice backed potatoes forcan additional $2. She said the chicken tasted good but was on the dry side. She loved the twice baked potatoes.

This is a small place by the lakes with a supper club astmosphere. After we were seated the bar filled up. Even though the place was full it wasn't really, really loud like some other places get.

They have the typical fish fry specials on Friday and prime rib on Saturday. They're still running fish fries on Wednesday nights until well into May. They have some intetesting burgers that you won't find at other places. Theyvalso have steaks seafood, wraps and some interesting desserts.

The servers were friendly and timely.

Recommend making a reservational if you go on the weekend after 5pm.

Would try again, preferably earlier, so it wouldn't be so crowded and noisy? Had to park down the road, but this location has always been in need of more convenient parking. FYI, my friend did call earlier in the day to see about reservations. She was told you only take two reservations each half hour and the only times available were 4:30 & 7. Neither of which worked for us. Our waitress was friendly and did check on us. Do not fault her for anything as it was crazy busy. I do understand the space is limited and you may be short staffed.

First time here. Came for lunch with my boys and my mother after.leaving from Little Switzerland ski area. Menu is rather extensive. They had an all-you-can-eat broasted chicken option which I seldom see, not that that's a good idea for anyone! There is only one handicap spot which was taken which made it more difficult for my mother to get inside, though no stairs. Place looks like it's more bar focused though the back area does have a seating section. Service was a little bit slow. They only had one waitress and she was working hard, so no fault of hers. Waitress did a great job being friendly, professional, and very efficient. I got the shrimp wrap, my son got the Mac wrap, my other son got the royal burger. Everything was great, especially the burger presentation. Walking into the place didn't expect to be the food to be so good!

It seemed we were in direct competition for service with an elderly couple of VIPs sitting in corner right next to us. Seated 1st, we were immediately ignored as the server rushed to get their order. We stopped in and tried the broasted chicken special. Mmm, the chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and tasty on the inside. I only wish they included cranberries. Very friendly service. I am sure we will be back again.
