We opted not to get food after trying the potstickers. They were flavorless and cooked from frozen package. Looked like they dont even have a kitchen. Just some hot holding equipment next to the bar. Drinks were mediocre. Our server was kind but that was really the only good thing about our experience.

Below expectations. Maybe expectations were a bit high due to others suggesting that the food was excellent. It's good to see a different type of food in West Bend but they didn't hit the mark. Broth was a bit bland, noodles overcooked slightly, and too little meat for the cost. Probably won't go back.

Appreciate the venue and service and might be a nice place for a beer.

We’ve only been here once, and I’d like to give it another shot. It’s a cool vibe inside. We came for the Tochi ramen and it just wasn’t the same unfortunately. I had the grass fed beef mazeman, and everything except for the beef was good. Idk what they did but it was a totally different type and preparation of beef. We did have steam bun apps and those were great. Staff was very friendly. It was mid feb and the restaurant was very cold, I kept my jacket on.

Food (soups) flavors were ok, but below average experience. Our server was just excellent, attempting to correct our issue. My veg broth was lukewarm. The beef had a large amount of fat, and was inedible. Who would serve this??? Server brought more meat, with, sadly, more fat. She also took 1/2 off cost of 1 meal ... Ty.
May try again, but not sure ...

It was my first time having restaurant ramen and this was good. I order braised beef udon, I realized I’m not a fan of the udon noodles. Just a bit doughy for my liking, but the flavor of the food was good! Also ordered the potstickers it was a Tuesday so they were on special and after the first order. I ordered two more orders that’s 15 potstickers and would so it again!! My friends ordered the butter corn and they both enjoyed it!!

The people working behind the bare are great. Melissa one the staff commonly working is fantastic with the guests keeps conversations flowing with guests great at remembering names. Atmosphere is pretty calm usually playing decent music and keeps place mellow.

Food is amazing I've been to a few other ramen restaurants around wisconsin and this place is one my favorites

Stumbled on this ramen place by total accident - had tried to get into another restaurant but more than an hour wait. Tried a few appetizers - all great. Ramen was nice and chewy - great texture. Super cool vibe - great hearing Foreigner in their music mix. Super attentive service. Would definitely come back the next time we're in West Bend.

Oh my gosh, just tried this place for the first time and it won’t be my last! Sooo good! Got the potstickers and the Tochi bowl. My friend got the spam steam bun appetizer and the butter corn bowl and she said they were also amazing. I’m mad I haven’t gone here sooner.

I can't help but think of the first time tochi ramen popped up in West Bend. I liked the food and drink, but the restaurant itself was loud and gimmicky. Here at the outbreak I can relax with my drink and a bowl of ramen. I would even argue their grass-fed beef mazeman bowl is better than anything I tried there. Speaking as a regular, I hope The Outbreak is here to stay for a long while. 💕

Finally a local ramen place. There was a small problem with my meal and I was just letting them know I didn't want a refund or anything and they took one of my appetizers off the bill anyways. Wonderful people , the female bartender was the one who was so helpful with the meal! Cool vibes with the outbreak, apocalypse style.

Was passing through West Bend and looking for a place to eat. After strolling down Main Street checking out all the restaurants we were surprised to find Tochi Ramen in a bar. We talked to some other customers and they raved about how good the food was.

When we entered it was quiet, with a few people at the bar, and a couple tables with diners. Got served right away, we ordered a cocktail and beer. Our server recommended the special Hanzo Hasashi which was excellent.

Got a couple of orders of steamed buns, one Spam (love me some Spam) and the other Pork Belly. Both were fresh and flavorful. Got the Grass Fed Beef Mazeman. The flavors were amazing! Loved the smoked bone marrow butter. However the piece of beef in mind was tough and grizzled.

The atmosphere was chill and relaxed until halfway through our meal, a bunch of older men came into the bar, and were making a raucous, talking very loud, with plenty of profanity. Clearly having their idea of a good time.

We loved much of the experience, and would recommend it, but with some reservation.

This is a truly unique place. Its styled interior is akin to a post apocalyptic or grim future. It features Asian dishes but doesn't try and pretend that it's Asian at all.

I had the tonkatsu and the broth was silky, delicious, and so robust. The shoyu broth of the braised beef using was amazing.

Be sure to also try the miso eggs, superb.

The decor is so cool! The ladies were fast, friendly. I ordered takeout. The inside has a total vibe definitely a cool place to hang, chill at. Try the BIG MAC FRIES soooo good!!! They have some cool hot dog, brat creations. Go go, goooo running there.
