Breakfast was excellent! All items were delicious. Our server was not exactly friendly. Seemed put out with questions. I think she was the only one there with the help of a friendly busgirl. Food took a while to get. View was great and place was somewhat rustic. One of the best breakfasts I have had here. Would return. Hopefully, there is more wait staff.

Came in for friday fish fry and got a combo platter. Food was amazing. The cheese curds were delicious. Stopped at the bar before hand and the bartender remembered our names and got us fresh buttered popcorn and kept it coming. We didn’t realize the window seats were typically for reservations and the waitress managed to get us a booth by the window which was awesome. Totally will come back next time we drive through town.

Rude service. We felt like we were bothering her to even be here. Dirty dishes! Lipstick on coffee cup that was on our table as we sat down. Yuck.
Would not recommend but it was open on a Monday. We Pref the PI pub.
We has to guess what wasn't available. I'll have tomatoe soup. "We don't have that" she quipped.
Then rudely glared while we guessed even thoughits on the menu. Oooff.
Granted it was Labor Day and we walked in 30mins before close. But hey then don't be open I guess.

The food was good the place was quaint and felt like a northwoods eatery should. Now to the bad the wait to get seated, granted it was the day after the independence day holiday and they were busy, but over an hour to get seated then an hour and a half wait for our food to arrive without the wait staff even coming by the table and saying sorry we are short staffed and it will take a little longer. She also never came by for refills of water or coffee, we had to ask for the coffee in the first place she took our food order then never came back. It was an older dark haired woman and she was one of the worst waitresses I have had in a long time… She never checked in with the table and was kind of rude but I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she was overwhelmed by how many people were in and how few other employees were working.

Always nice coming here. Comfy, good food (breakfast and their burgers are very good), and Sheri, the server, is great, responsive and friendly. I can tell she works very hard and is a definite plus for the restaurant. In an area dying for help, if I owned that place, I'd be proactive and pay her more to keep her.

I've been all over the Northwoods on my Harley touring the last few years. I've visited numerous restaurants during my travels. I don't know how I overlooked this place. I had an early ride to the MI border for pictures. The Outpost was on my route and it was about breakfast time. I can't express the experience enough. The waitress was so nice, the Christian music for a Sunday morning was enlightening, but the food. It was by far the best breakfast I've had traveling the last few years! If you are going thru Presque Isle, or even close by, make this a must eatery! I'll be going back!

The food was served hot and prepared well. The order was exactly as we ordered it. Atmosphere was a clean and bright family dining experience with historical photos along the wall. Salad was very fresh and the portions were average. The music wasn't distracting nor to loud. A nice experience.

We were somewhat skeptical about coming here today, after reading an unfavorable review. But, so many other people sounded positive. We didn't have to wait long for service. Our food was up between 15 -20 minutes later which is a normal time frame. It was hot, and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because the price was on the high side for the portion size.

VERY L-O-N-G wait for breakfast. Expensive for breakfast! Breakfast is the most inexpensive meal of the day......or it used to be. First time there we had 3 in our group, 1 omlette, 1 country fired steak and 1 biscuit n gravy/eggs, with coffee and 1 milk was our order , the total was just over $50. We waited 47 minutes and the place was about 1/2 full. The next time we went, it was just me and the hubby. Each had an omlette with ad on of bacon and sausage, 1 with hash browns, coffee and 1 milk. $45. My husband only got 1 slice of toast with his breakfast, any place I've ever been gives you 2. When I asked if that was a mistake, the waitress said "No, that's the way the owners want it". That is Cheap to do to your customers for the Expensive prices you charge. Will only go there when out of food or just don't feel like cooking. Food was Good when we finally were served, but the Cost and the LONG wait time is not worth making this a favorite stop.
