We visited The Packing House with a larger party and, while the waitstaff was fantastic (truly no complaints there), the food left a lot to be desired.

Appetizers: We tried the eggplant, which some did find enjoyable, others not so much.

Soup: The French Onion soup came highly recommended. The first bite or two was promising, but after that the flavor cleared way to salt and something I could not identify. Most of our table did try to finish it, but again it was a divisive dish.

Steaks & Seafood:

- One person ordered crab legs, but they came out cold. To the waitress’s credit, she immediately rushed them back to be fixed. It did take 15-20 minutes to get a new order, the person sat there without anything for a while.

- Another ordered the filet mignon, which was shockingly small. The waitress kindly offered to bring a second or add another steak, but it was declined just due to having to wait for it (this should have been caught before coming out - at least I would think).

- Of the four ribeye's ordered, two were requested medium rare but came out rare, and one medium well that came out very well-done.

- The steak au poivre sauce was very unpleasant with a strange taste—it looked like gravy, but it just didn’t work. The person who ordered it managed to eat it but said they would never order it again and regretted it.

- Sides were also a miss. The rice was served cool (borderline cold), the fries were barely warm, and the onion strings—meant as a topping—were more like a full extra side dish no one wanted. The steak sauce was basically flavorless as well. I used my ketchup to flavor up my well done steak.

Dessert: Dessert itself was tasty, but there was a hiccup with timing. One person’s order didn’t come out until everyone else was finished.

In the end, we spent over $2,000 as a group, but most of us walked away saying we would not return in the future. The service was attentive and accommodating, but the food ranged from average to below average, which was incredibly disappointing for the price point.

I should add, again, the wait staff is amazing. We were checked in on often and asked how everything was. We are not ones to complain, so most of us ate what we could and just don't plan to return.

I do encourage others to try, perhaps we were there at a bad time or our party was too large to accommodate and they weren't used to it.

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our one year of dating on Saturday and he suggested we go for dinner. I am not from the area but he is. He said it’s a great old school supper club. That it is! We ordered crab legs, garlic stuffed bacon wrapped filet. Had escargot as an appetizer. Need to mention that we had a delicious Old Fashioned at the bar before going into the dining room to our table. The drink was delicious, the bartender was very nice and the band “blues style “ was fantastic. Once we were greeted by our server Robert we enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner. Robert was the BEST…..the food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. Busy but not in a bad way where your server ignored you. Robert should get the MVP reward for excellent service, funny personality and attentiveness!!! The amount of crab legs we received was impressive especially for the price of food these days! My only complaint was that the music is way too loud. You cannot hear anything in the bar and even in the dining room it was loud. Turn it down a few notches please! Otherwise fabulous, delicious and a must.

A very good restaurant, with high-quality food. Semi formal dress is appropriate, although they will still serve you if you're wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt, you will feel slightly out of place. Intermittent live music, friendly servers, and amongst the best quality food in the area. With all that said, I would still strongly advise avoiding Friday!

Fridays they are incredibly crowded, to a point where people will bump into you every couple minutes to walk past. Noisy, crowded, and a claustrophobic nightmare. I felt rushed, as if they were trying to get us out to serve the next people. This problem does not exist during the week, and they do have a drive-through available for their amazing fish fry! Seriously, try the fish fry. It is out of this world. The flounder was also excellent. My only grievance is with the atmosphere. They play several mirrors, to give the illusion that the restaurant is larger than it actually is, to alleviate some of the claustrophobic feel. It helps. The restaurant is simply limited to the space that they have available. This is to no fault of their own.

Overall, a four-star review I believe is appropriate for this venue. You will not find a finer restaurant in the area. Reservations are recommended.

The Cocktails are great. The food is very good, the quality, serving size, preparation, and flavors never disappoint. The service is also terrific, the bar staff, wait staff, and bussers all do their tasks quickly as required and are friendly. The prices are normal for the level of service and products in this area

My pet peeve is that the fixtures in the men's room needed to be replaced decades ago. It was clean as a whistle, but c'mon man, these things are shot!

I was looking for a good place for dinner near rhe Milwaukee Airport and came across this spot. At first glance I wasn't so sure, but once I got inside and the service started at the bar. I had a great time with both patrons and staff!! The food was absolutely amazing and handsome down one of the best meals ive had in quite a long time. Alyssa at the bar was such a great host/bartender I felt like I had been coming there for years!! If a local or in the area, stop in for a drink or a meal, you will not be disappointed. Steaks were good. Four of us got the fish fry and no one cared for it. Potato pancakes had good flavor. Mashed potatoes taste like they use half regular potatoes and half instant. Clam chowder was pretty bland, but not horrible. Old fashioned was pretty good. They had a live band that played very well and the service was top tier. Visiting from out of town and what a great local place, I sat in the bar listening to music and chatting to random folks. Food was exceptional with home cooked flavours. This rating is specific to my experience at the packing house Saturday, April 19. Since being introduced to The Packing House about three years ago, I have always enjoyed my time there. Last night, I was sitting at the bar as always, laughing and talking with friends and enjoying the music. Things went awry when I asked for my bill. I had two Prosecco's and a spinach salad. When I asked for my bill, the bartender gave me a bill for $163. I told him that wasn't my bill. Then he gave me a bill with two Prosecco's and the spinach salad. I reminded him that someone else paid for the one Prosecco. Then he gave me the correct bill, $22.75.and I gave him a $100 bill. The change he gave me was incorrect, about $10 short; I pointed that out to him. He said I'm sorry it's been a long night. Then he gave me change again which also was incorrect, still short of a correct amount; again, I pointed it out to him. Then he finally gave me the correct change but no receipt, and I asked him to give me a receipt; he did. I'm not sure what that was all about; however, it has tainted my experience.

Food tastes different every time I go there, but service is a different story. My sister and I were treated differently from the rest of the patrons that dine in on the same day. When I went with my older brother, they were nice and the service is good but when I went with just me and my younger sister, we feel neglected by the waitress. Went for my sister’s birthday dinner. My sister finally reached the legal drinking age and wanted to try wine and she think it was bitter and want it a bit sweeter, so I asked the waitress if she could make it sweeter which she suggested making it into a spritzer and we agreed. While the waitress was taking a while at the bar while waiting for the drink, I heard them talking, saw them rolling eyes and looking at our direction. I get that we’re young, but I have more than enough money to dine in at your restaurant. I just want to give my sister fine dining experience. Might want to train your staff to not discriminate based on age, class, gender, and etc. and I sincerely hope the owners take my review into consideration.

We recently dined at The Packing House and tried several dishes, including the Chicken Cordon Bleu, Fish Fry, Steak Au Poivre, Beef Wellington, and Chicken Parmesan.

While the food was enjoyable, we found it a bit difficult to locate the host stand upon arrival. The hallway leading to the dining room was quite narrow, which made navigating the space a little tight.

One standout was the younger staff member handling bussing and water service—he was attentive and provided great service. However, our server felt more scripted than genuine, lacking warmth in their interactions.

We've wanted to visit The Packing House for years after passing by on trips to and from the airport, and we’re glad we finally had the chance to try it. Not sure we'd put this on our regular rotation however.

A local gem, my parents had been going to this restaurant for years. I hadn't been here before, so my dad and I went to try it out.

The food was sooooo incredible. The salads are amazing with an awesome house made Parmesan peppercorn dressing (the GOAT of salad dressings). The prime rib I ordered was amazing and super flavorful, and the fries it came with were fabulous. My dad ordered a steak with garlic butter that was equally as stellar, and the brandy Alexander I ordered for dessert was so wonderful!

I'll definitely be back here, it is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it for stellar food and excellent service. Just make sure to book a reservation ahead of time because it does get pretty crowded here.

This was our third time and last time. My husband made a reservation for 7:00pm. I understand it’s a Saturday night but waiting till 7:45pm to be seated and kept being today we would be next. We waited 2 other parties sit before we were. Once we were seated our waitress took care the other tables that were seated after us first. Once my child got their food, it tasted like frozen shrimp and frozen green beans and my child would not eat it. If our waitress had come to check on us, she would’ve known that my child did not like their food instead, it was not brought up until the end of the meal. When we told our waitress about this, she said I’ll get the manager, no I apologize. The manager came over and was Extremely rude. Being that my child is autistic, it takes a bit for them to speak up, and she had no patience with my child. After telling us that she would give us 50% off of my child’s meal I watched her and some of the wait staff talk badly about my family. It takes a extreme amount of effort for us to go out to dinner and not how I thought we would be treated. Definitely will have to find a new place to get steak!

Our server Richard was excellent fun and timing everything perfectly, we had the bacon wrapped water chestnuts and they do such a excellent job with them. Went on a Sunday evening during the holiday season. It's a supper club atmosphere with nice linens and low lighting. Service was excellent. Tables could have been spaced out a little more but that's my personal preference for higher end places.

Apps - We got the onion strings which were piled high and I think a good overall value for only $10. If you're not that hungry and ordering a steak, a good portion does come with most steaks so you can have those instead ordering the app.

Main course - We both ordered steak. They are going to cost you anywhere from $60-80+ depending on your add-ons. Wife had the filet and I ordered the boneless ribeye. We both ordered them medium and that's the exact way they were cooked. Overall the steaks were excellent and on par with any top end restaurant. For the boneless rebuy it came with very little scrap pieces and was very flavorful. Neither of us got the soup or salad. Dinner was served with fresh out of oven bread which was excellent.

Drinks - Sorry I am just a beer guy but did overhear other saying the old fashions were very good.

Dessert - Wife had the banana cream pie and said it was the best she ever had.

Overall I would highly recommend this place and plan on going back.

I had a mostly excellent experience during my time at The Packing House. To start, a nice young lady named Christine took great care of me at the bar area. She was an excellent bartender/ server who checked on me regularly throughout my time.
It's been a long time since I've been to a supper club, and overall, the setting here did not disappoint. The fish fry and potato pancakes were excellent, as was my drink.
The bar area was beautiful and there was a lively band that was playing. And that is where I gently knock my atmosphere rating of this fine establishment. It was way too loud for such a small area. I would definitely recommend that the volume level be decreased for future performances because it actually made my ears hurt to the point that it negatively impacted my experience.
I would definitely go back in the future, but if the music is loud, i would probably look for somewhere else to experience.

Extremely quick drive through for friday fish fry. The clam chowder is pretty good, and so is the fish. The parking lot is not very well organized, so be careful out there.

We had an amazing experience at The Packing House. Entered to hear beautiful live music - the restaurant and adjacent bar space was full, still we were seated at our reservation time. Immediately a wonderfully pleasant busser greeted us, followed by a friendly and professional server. Truly the best restaurant staff I have experienced in many years! All staff seemed to enjoying their jobs and working hard. The food and drinks equally great. My husband and I were so very pleased with this restaurant. Highly recommend.

Our appetizer, drinks and entrees were perfect. The atmosphere was great. Our server Jeremiah(I believe I am spelling it correctly) was probably the best waiter we have ever had. He was taking care of us and another table that was celebrating a 75th birthday and was polite, quick and personable. This was a great experience. Will be back.

Very friendly service. Seated right away. The prices are a bit steep but the biggest reason for the 3 stars was the food. The $26 steak was chewy, thin and I could barely cut it. The soup tasted like it was straight out by of a can. The fries however were great!!! Awesome music playing as well. Place has a very divorcée over 50’s vibe.

We were seated as soon as we arrived. The meal was timed out perfectly. The food was wonderful as it always is! I had the bacon wrapped, garlic stuffed filet mignon done Oscar style (with crab, asparagus, and bernaise sauce). Our waitress was super friendly and funny.

The baked fish was amazing. The steaks were good. A little pricey but you are the best one to judge. We always stop in for the live music. Carmen is an amazing singer and an Angelic girl. My Grandfather passed away a year and a half ago. Carmen was his favorite. She even sang at his funeral. The service here was efficient.

I was told about this place by one of my vendors who said his uncle owns it. He described it wow it was a great find. I felt like the rat pack was gonna walk in at any moment. It gave you vibes of a cool bar a great dinner club And fantastic staff. I ate at the bar since I was solo and was pleasantly greeted by two great bartenders. I ordered an extra dirty, gray goose martini and they didn’t disappoint. It was on point. I ordered their famous French onion soup and then a Caesar salad with grilled chicken for my protein I know it’s a steakhouse however due to dietary restrictions I had to stick to salad and grilled chicken, checking out menu appetizers and steaks sounded mouthwatering. The onion soup didn’t disappoint. It was layered thick with that cheese melted on top and the broth was fantastic. It was tasty. It was not watery, which is what you usually find the grilled chicken was still warm for the Caesar salad. They mixed the salad with the dressing perfectly. It was an overwhelming. This is a must stop place in Milwaukee. Whether you are early for a flight and you need a bite to eat first it’s right around the corner from the airport or visiting the area. You have to go here. It was fantastic. You know it’s on my list to come back again even the bathrooms were spic and span clean. They even have an outdoor area you can eat at and they have a Friday fish fry that there’s a drive up window you go through for pick up.

Service great and atmosphere great. The fish fry? Not so much. Cleary fried well in advance and kept under heat lamps for extended periods of time. Soggy, luke warm. Same with the potato pancakes. Cold and mushy. My advice, stick to the main menu and avoid the fish fry. Many far superior and much cheaper fish fries out there.

Today we had a party to celebrate my sister's 50 years of employment at one company. The Packing House did an excellent job in making this a Great experience. We had our own private area. The wait staff did an excellent job in taking our order, serving and bringing out the food.
The food was excellent from the chicken, the pork chop, the salmon and the prime rib. Everyone was served at one time and everyone was satisfied with there meal. We were never rushed and the beverages were always full

First visit for a celebration of my son in law's 40th birthday. Food and service were excellent. Our server, Donna, provided just the right amount of attention. We really enjoyed the supper club atmosphere. Everyone's food was cooked perfectly!

The only hiccup occurred with our reservation, which I made about a week in advance. When we arrived, the hostess had no record of it. But it didn't seem to matter. We were seated promptly.

First and last visit. I ordered one of the garlic stuffed filets medium rare. It came blue. I sent it back and it came back rare. There are plenty of steak houses in the area that can cook a filet properly, seek one of those out. Also, I have been to supper clubs, this is a steak house, not a supper club.

My family chose to have our sibling's memorial at The Packing House. Joan was the contact person and she responded to all emails immediately, explained the different options available and the total cost which included everything, no hidden fees or surprises. We had a confirmed minimum guest count and they were very flexible when we let them know that the final count had increased by four on the day of the memorial. Janet and Micah took exceptional care of the group and were sensitive to the mood, lowering the music during the eulogies. The food was phenomenal and our choice of venue and items were remarked upon and complemented by all of our guests. The Packing House made the memorial a special and memorable event.
