Ordered the low carb chicken meal. It was very bland, no seasoning even though it was supposed to be lemon seasoned. The pasta sauce is always bland as well. Only dined here because my husband enjoys the breaded cod.

NEVER buy a gift card there. Paid $100 cash for a Holiday special card with a $20 bonus and only $.27 was put on the $100 card!!!! Lost our business forever.

Had the Chicken Parmesan when I went. The ambiance was nice and the wait staff was top notch. The food portion was great and I had to take over half of it home. It made for great leftovers the next two days.

The Pasta Shoppe is awesome! The food is always fresh and super tasty, you can tell they put a lot of care into it. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the service is spot on without being pushy. The atmosphere is cozy and just feels good to be in.
Overall, it’s hands down one of the best spots in Port Washington. Five stars all the way!

I received delivery service. I normally order from another restaurant but their closed on Monday. I should've waited till Tuesday. I ordered Mushroom Lasagna with salad with Blue cheese dressing, garlic bread and a slice of Carmel Cheese Cake. The Lasagna was cold not cool because of delivery but cold, not all cheese was melted, no garlic at all on greasy garlic bread, no Blue Cheese dressing which had slices of pepperoni, I'm vegetarian, for my salad. A insulting piece of cheesecake that I paid through the nose. Extremely thin and small. Very disappointed

This place was less than satisfying… Definitely a tourist trap, I’m disappointed in myself for falling for it. It’s cool that they have two stories, and I LOVE the paper on the tables and cup of crayons, I liked drawing while waiting for my food. The upstairs bathrooms were weirdly placed in the back area where employees would go, that was really off-putting personally. All of the food was really expensive, and honestly nothing other than the pasta I got was good. We went with 5 people and got: Chicken Bruschetta Sandwich: 2/10, Burrata Caprese: 1/10, Angel Hair Spaghetti: 8/10, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo: 8/10 (not worth the price), half Margherita Pizza: 2/10 half Cheese Pizza: 6/10 (not worth the price). I personally got the Fettuccine and it was very good, although definitely not worth the price at all, it was $26. There were a couple bites that the chicken was half fat and I wanted to hurl, which I wouldn’t expect that from such an expensive place. My pasta came with a garlic bread, which I was very excited for because normally garlic bread is delicious and soft, but this was honestly just sad: No garlic, butter not soaked in, and honestly tasted like a crouton. They had bags of breadsticks as the centerpiece that were very thin but they were pretty good. The thing that really put me over the edge was the price of normal drinks. I got a Sprecher’s Root Beer, the one in the bottle that you can get at the Dollar Tree for $1.00, maybe even $1.25. Guess how much that was? $5.15. In what world? Lemonade: $4.12, pretty good, not the price though. Kiddie Cocktail: $4.40, tasted just like sprite and not a lot of cherry. We didn’t get any refills for our expensive drinks. There’s no reason for pay $5 for drinks and not get a refill. So, all in all, I got Chicken Fettuccine and a root beer, and paid $32. That’s unreasonable for half-good food.

This place was recommended to us and we were informed it was rather busy so we made a reservation the morning of for a group of 5. When we arrived there were not many guests there which was good because the place was so small and the tables were too packed and you could barely sit comfortably with walking area behind your seat. We used their restroom only for one member of our party to get stuck inside because the door got jammed. Our meals were missing their side dishes when we were served and had to ask for them. We had to wave down our waitress who was nowhere to be found to get drink refills. And the drinks were highly overpriced for stuff out of a machine. We were not offered dessert, we had to ask for it after being brought the bill. Lots of things that you wouldn’t expect from a restraunt of this price range.
The food was decent although we definitely were not eager to finish our plates or take to go boxes. Felt like food we could have easy cooked in our own kitchen. Not worth the price or even half it.
Something of note was the way all of our bread, especially our garlic bread was cooked beyond edibility, it just hurt your mouth to even try and eat it.
We were going to send back our food but our poor waitress seemed frazzled when we would complain. By the end of the experience we were just ready to flee.
We ended up leaving to eat somewhere else downtown because we left half our food uneaten on the table.
On a good note we loved the crayon table idea it was very original and gave the place a little something special.
Definitely would not recommend or return, plenty other great places in town.

We used to love this place. We came here for my husband’s birthday as we were both craving some authentic Italian food since we just got back from Italy a couple weeks prior. However, we both felt like things have changed since the last time we were here. First, the wine wasn’t even served in a wine glass. I have never seen that before. Also, my pasta primavera came with vegetables from a frozen bag (I hate frozen vegetables). The Mariana sauce tasted like it came from a can and was watery. The only good thing was the breaded chicken, but for $29 I would’ve expected better quality (at least fresh vegetables). My husband got the braised beef ravioli with the Mariana sauce and thought the same about the sauce. He said the ravioli tasted like it came from a bag. The garlic bread was so oily there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the basket. At least the service was decent and she was friendly but it did take a while to get our check. I’m not sure if we will come back.

Don't get me wrong, it's clean and lovely inside. But something was afoot from the moment we walked in. First, 3 different staff told us they'd be with us in a minute. Then, although we had a reservation, they didn't know where to put us. Our server, bless her, was definitely inexperienced which resulted in being ignored for a good while and when she did come over, I could tell she was nervous about having 2 tables to serve at the same time. I don't blame her. She was sweet and trying. This is completely due to a lack of training. I ordered a meal that included a salad and I had to ask for it after my pasta arrived. We ordered dessert and had to ask for clean forks. Had to ask for refills on drinks. Just small things that a restaurant in this price range should be on top of training their staff in.
The food was pretty good. Nothing exceptional but worth the price.
I did appreciate that we weren't rushed to leave at all but I'll think twice before returning.

It was a busy night and we had to stand there at the entrance for 25 minutes just waiting to get a table. The staff said hello and apologized but the wait was not good. We had pizza and ravioli which were both very good, and our waitress (Rachel) was very friendly and attentive. We will be back again, but probably earlier so we don't get stuck standing around.

★ 2
Disappointing. The food tastes really cheap. We got the breaded mushrooms, they were very greasy and it tasted like they had used canned mushrooms. The salad that came with my dish was big but had no vegetables besides lettuce (half a slice of lunch meat is not a vegetable, nor is a piece of cheese). The tomato sauce on the pasta was like the sauce they use at Little Ceasars, far too sugary -- if you're charging me $20 for a (vegetarian) pasta dish, at least get some Aldi tomato sauce, it would be an improvement. The garlic bread was very mid, it was so greasy that there was a large puddle of oil at the bottom of the basket. Overall the meal was like something from my elementary-school cafeteria.
Service and atmosphere were both fine but nothing to write home about. The only real bright spot was that it was fun to draw on the paper tablecloth with the crayons, we ended up doing that instead of eating the bad food. If I were judging by food alone it would be 1 star.

We have never been here before. Wow, what a huge menu, hard to decide. We had a pizza, with pretty much everything except pepperoni. Very generous with the toppings. Lots of cheese. Thurs offers $10 off bottles of wne too. Our server Evy was right on with service, she was very nice. Full of course, but the spumoni ice cream bomb dessert was worth it, really good chocolate coating. It's enough to split with a friend. Next time we try the main dish Italian dishes.

I was very disappointed! I've been going to the pasta shoppe for over 40 years. We've taken many visitors with us and it was always fantastic. My future sonin law had never been there, so we went for a motorcycle ride, we arrived early and stayed around Port for over 2 hours until it opened.
We always have the French onion soup, this time it was terrible. It wasn't hot, the cheese was not melted and crusty. I could have put some beef broth in a bowl, added chopped onions and some packaged croutons, thrown in a piece of mozzarella, microwave it for a minute and it would probably be better, we did send one of the soups back once, but it did not improve, my son in law ate his the way it came. The first round of garlic bread was not crusty like it had been in the past, but the second round was perfect.
My daughter wasn't thrilled with the chicken parmesan, said she'd stick to the alfredo as she always had in the past, if she ever came back. My son in law seemed to like his shrimp Alfredo. I had shrimp ravioli which was very good.
The reason for us visiting Port in the past is no longer there, I will probably not make a special trip in the future.

Based on the current reviews I was pretty confident booking a reservation to this local spot for my birthday dinner, I'm a sucker for pasta and I was excited to try out a new restaurant. Unfortunately, I was tremendously disappointed. It is incredibly duplicitous to charge $26 (in this economy?!) for chicken fettuccine alfredo served from a can. Do you know how easy it is to make alfredo sauce from scratch? I do it on a regular basis. Any beginner chef could do it, trust me I am no Gordon Ramsey. If you like Prego alfredo sauce, look no further. The Pasta Shoppe is where it's at. Other party ordered a cubed steak sandwich and he said it was mid, it looked mid (aside from the beautiful ciabatta bun it rested upon). I will say though, the garlic bread was amazing and the peach belini was excellent. A few of the parties near us ordered pizza and that looked amazing. The servers are kind and attentive, the atmosphere is incredible 👌 this place has potential. I will not darken this doorstep again, however, because I honestly feel scammed. Upon further inspection I see other reviews mentioning that they also feel the sauces come canned. I wish I had done such inspection before I settled on choosing this place over Olive Garden (40 minutes round trip ew).
Disclaimer: I did not complain at the restaurant. I should have done so, but having been a service worker, I would rather suffer the loss of money than subject a service worker to the awkwardness of a tantrum from a disgruntled customer. Management do better.
Edit: to reiterate, I make alfredo frequently, I agree that $26 is not unreasonable for GOOD alfredo. I do NOT want to be a jerk. But your alfredo recipe should mayyybe be modified. I did not get a strong parmesan taste in my dish. While I will absolutely take you at your word that it is made in house, I will not deny that it TASTES as if it was emulsified and preserved similar to canned prego sauce. I am not one to deny a local business credit where credit is due. However if you are looking for good alfredo, make it yourself. It's literally butter, cream, garlic and parmesan cheese.

The Pasta Shoppe has a diverse menu of pasta to choose from and because of this it is quite popular. The waitress made sure that despite our wait we were taken care of by offering us a free salad when other groups got their food before us. She also stopped by regularly despite how busy it was. The music you could hear when it got quiet but was quiet enough to talk over. Would go again!

Nice waitress despite a very busy holiday weekend - the stress was felt in the whole place but service was good in spite of this. Extremely greasy garlic bread swimming in oil. Disposable plastic cups for water - 1 extra plastic cup per refill plus an extra straw. Plastic fantastic - disappointing. Hope they will switch to re-usable cups for water, and ask if the customer if they need a straw instead of giving them per default.

I know this is a staple in the area but our service and food was awful. Went on A Friday night at the busy times and the place was dead. We rarely go out to eat as a family so it was a bummer that it was what it was. We got seated right away, but had to ask for a server after ten minutes of waiting. My wife had spaghetti and a meatball. While I had the open face sandwich. The sausage was overcook and didn't taste right. So maybe it was a off night idk seemed mediocre at best.

Inside of the restaurant was outdated. Rude waitress. Gnocchi I ordered was cold, flavorless and in some weird oil sauce with a thick layer of cheese on top that slid right off. We were very disappointed. Considering the great reviews, we were expecting something at least halfway decent. 5 different entrees and all were flavorless slop. Even the garlic bread was bad -- it was bread soaked in what tasted like old fryer oil; no salt, no garlic, no real butter. Frozen raviolis, bland, presumably canned, sauce, old chicken. We hate wasting food but most of it was left on our plates and, hopefully, fed to the garbage bin!

When it came time to order our drinks, being from the South, we had asked for sweet tea. Was informed they only had regular tea which is normal so we asked if they could bring some simple syrup, which a bar normally has available. The server checked and the bar had no idea what it was.
Next when we placed our food order, when asked what type of sauce we wanted, we asked for pink sauce. The server had no idea what it was but checked and the chef also had no idea what it was, (And this is an Italian restaurant?)
The food was decent and overall it was what I considered an average visit.

I had the Ravoli with the half and half sauce on it. The red sauce is sweet, the white sauce is robust. Mix them together and it's perfect. If you have a problem with all the melted cheese on it, just keep working at it, the payoff is worth the mess.

Super disappointed, used to be so good. Ever since it changed hands and all the regular staff have left it has gone down hill. Food is not as good, service sucks and the owner is extremely rude! Sad to see a once good place gone bad.

Being Italian and growing up eating home made Italian food I have become quite picky. Pasta shop does a great job with their recipes and does not disappoint!
We went a little later tonight for an anniversary dinner and could not get a glass of iced tea. Their machine must have been empty for the night so I had to get lemonade which I don't like sugar but oh well.
Still had a great dinner.
I had the chicken parmeson and hubby had lasagna. Food was nice and hot and served perfectly timed with finishing our salads.

The food is always delicious! They have the best antipasto salad and the garlic bread is amazing, huge pieces. I love their pizza, pastas are great. Don't forget to have an ice cream Bomba for dessert. It is chocolate covered spumoni ice cream!

Great location in a great little downtown. We did have exceptional service however my only gripe is that the sauce is SWEET not savory 😭 It was alarmingly sweet not expected. On a positive note I really love the Italian dressing for the salad and the garlic bread was delicious.

This little Italian restaurant has been a fav of ours for over 12 years! We decided to get take out after stopping at Duluth Trading Co. We chose some fried eggplant, lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and terrific tiramisu! We also love the charming atmosphere when dining inside. If you're in Port and craving Italian food, this place is a must!

The Pasta Shoppe is always a great place to grab dinner in Downtown Port. Food is always delicious and the service is always great. It's a smaller place and tends to get super busy on weekends, so I highly recommend getting reservations.

The food was very good and server great. The only negative was the upper dining area men's restroom was in bad condition. Normally no big deal but it is located arms length from bus-person station stacked with heaps of dirty plates and food waste. Come on Pasta Shop management, you can do much better!

The lasagna was not the greatest. It was watery like if it was frozen and then microwave. And there was no side dish with the meal. The service was nice.

If you are only looking for great pasta, this place is it. The food was excellent. However, I had a two hour wait time on takeout. When I got to the restaurant to pick it up,
I waited 15 minutes before someone even acknowledged me. Then another 20 minutes to pay for the take out, receive my food, and leave. Overall food is 5/5. Staff and experience is 1/5.

After spending 5 days in Door County with zero options for real Italian, we couldn't wait to have dinner at the Pasta Shoppe. The food and service was outstanding. Many dishes delivered to nearby tables looked delicious as well. We will definitely be back to try them all!

Outstanding! My husband and I live in a different part of WI and drove to Port Washington yesterday to meet friends here - and had such a wonderful experience that we can’t believe anyone would rate this restaurant unfavorably! The excellent menu, delectable food - braised beef ravioli, mushroom lasagne, beef lasagne, and the daily special, which was pesto and chicken ravioli - were all perfect, as well as the very nice side salad (with extra touches including pepperoni and cheese) and thick and crusty garlic bread. We thoroughly enjoyed the service and the beautiful ambiance of this cute restaurant, and loved our cozy corner table - though we eat out frequently, we agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Thanks, and we’ll be back!

The antipasto salad four 2 is enough for 4 people. The food is ok, but the sauce is extremely salty. You will go broke if you like to have wine. $6.50 for a tiny, and I am not exaggerating TINY, HOUSE wine. The glass is like a really large shot glass.
