10/17 visit for our anniversary. Nice bar/restaurant, excellent service from Shannon. I can tell she enjoys her job. The atmoshere at the bar was nice, although it could have been a touch warmer inside.

My wife had a chicken wrap she said it good and her bloody mary was really good. I was going to order the pickle prime philly, but talked myself into the steak special to better celebrate our 27th annivsary. Special occasion, special food, right? :) The steak was a nice cut. I ordered it medium rare, it was done well, no pink at all. It tasted good, but overcooked and I think over tenderized. That resulted in a steak that had more of a burger texture and it was very dry. Next time I will try the prime philly - I saw one go by while I was waiting for my steak - it looked wonderful and was piled high!

Overall it was a great visit and i am sure we will give The Pickle Factory another try sometime. We really enjoyed our after dinner walk and the beautiful sunset.

I called ahead to ask if they allowed dogs on their patio. They said yes and it’s no problem. I drove 20 min and when I arrived, they told my husband they don’t allow dogs on the patio unless they are service dogs. He told them they were and they said they just closed the patio so they couldn’t accommodate unless we ordered to go and put our beer in a plastic cup. And they would not serve us outside. As we were leaving, another couple had just arrived. And when we drove out, they just seated this couple on the patio. So frustrating. Just tell us from the beginning, you don’t allow dogs, it’s that easy. You don’t need to lie or come up with excuses. We wouldn’t have wasted the drive.

WOW!

We stumbled upon this gem of a local hangout by sheer accident. As it turned out, it had a great outcome.

From the time we walked in the door until we left, we felt like we were their most important customers.

They have specials, but we ordered off the menu. Dinner was perfectly priced and presented. Everything on the menu was made in house.

Definitely a great reason to pull off the highway and enjoy a riverview.

These guys are awesome. My Brother and Sister in law had an impromptu wedding dinner party of about 30 people to move to a different location for their wedding dinner celebration. Without hesitation The Pickle Factory said no problem come on over. The waitresses and the rest of the staff were fantastic. The food was amazing and they made us feel incredibly welcomed! Not to mention the view is breathtakingly beautiful! They helped turn a pretty sour situation pretty sweet, very quickly. I cant thank you guys enough for your gracious hospitality! In town for a wedding and decided to try this place. Sat in the photo chair by the waterfront when someone offered to take a picture of us. Introduced himself as the owner. Decided instantly to try the place for dinner. Wait list was an hour but found a spot at the bar. Amazing cheese curds - must have next time. Tried pbbj burger - excellent. Hey folks, I had a pretty average meal at the picko factory near lake Pepin uh, was a good restaurant. Was it mostly a bar? But, you know, maybe it's a nightclub at night, uh you know, I did some pull tabs, had some basic bar food. Uh, well, was not a lot of pickle offerings. Which was very sad, given that pickle is in their name. Um, you know, here's the deal we go to a lot of restaurants as a family. We like to sit down. We always think about. Is this a family friend? Or a restaurant and this is a family restaurant, but I would say it's more of a family bar restaurant. You know, they had high chairs, they had boosters, that was good. They actually took really good care of our kids. And made it a point to do things that you would do, uh, yeah, to help accommodate families who have children. So for those reasons, I'm very, very happy with the restaurant, um, yeah, and I guess, you know, I was going to give 3 stars, but now I think I'm going to pull it up to 4. Because, as I think back while I'm doing this review, you know, the surface was great. Everyone smiled, everyone was friendly. And so that says something um, so for that reason alone, i'm going to give this four start what I would like to know. Is why why it's called the pickle factory? Because there isn't a whole heck of a lot of pickles on the food they didn't have any like legit. I mean, they had fried pickles, but everybody does fried pickles now. So that wasn't very unique, so give me something unique with pickles in it. Uh, hence, the name pickle factory other than you know. Your standard appetizer of fried pickles, that's, you can pick those up at Walmart, you can pick those up at any grocery store. They're not really unique anymore. And they don't taste that great. So there you have it, that's my 2 cents, 3 cents, 4 cents. Whatever you want to call it, that's my stuff. So please. Uh, this one's on you. Go go there if you want to. I don't think it's a bad place. I think if you got a family, I would go.Yeah.

Stopped in for a drink and an appetizer and sat at the bar. We felt like an inconvenience. There were multiple bartenders and we were still there for 45+ minutes and only got checked on twice. It took forever to take our food order, took 15+ minutes for the appetizer, then the onion rings came out cold. But, they were hand battered and very good (would have been even better warm). I am amending my review from last summer.
We are back for our annual summer visit. If it’s possible-the upstairs staff has gotten ruder. Why?? This used to be the place to go. I’m so sad that the group no longer wants to make this a stop.

We have come to this place for YEARS. A few months ago gave it 5 stars for the amazing duo that work down in the pickle barrel. And-BTW -what a great remodel. Just stopped in to enjoy a last Saturday of summer. Wow. What a difference. The hostess couldn’t have been ruder. It’s important to remember that when it’s warm and nice-it is NOT the patrons fault you are so overwhelmed. We waited to be seated-with several empty tables-for quite some time all the while ordering drinks. We checked in a couple times and We gave up when it became too dark for us to stay. What a sour experience. Take notes from your downstairs staff-being busy and rude don’t have to go hand in hand. Now -for people reading reviews-please note -several visits we have had a great experience, but this time changed us and they won’t be a go to destination on a busy day again. Pickle-you guys are better than this!!

We had a fantastic time at the Pickle Factory. Our server, whose name I unfortunately did not catch, was attentive and super kind. It was incredibly busy when we went, which was an excellent indicator of the quality of the establishment. Even with the busy time, our food came quickly and tasted amazing. This was our first night in Pepin and was an excellent start to our trip. A visit to Pepin is not complete without a trip to the Pickle Factory!

Great atmosphere but I could have enjoyed the view without even stepping foot in this restaurant. The food was average and when you are paying $15 for JUST the burger with a few basic veggie toppings, you would expect it to be better quality. I feel the prices are way higher than they need to be and the service isn't good either. Our waitress didn't even stop in to see how everything was...then rushed us to pay the bill at the end of our meal. When you pay $3 for a soda you would expect to at least get one refill or be offered a refill, but we didn't even get that! I will admit the paddle fries were really good I just feel like this place needs lots of improving if they want to charge the prices they do.

Asked the host where to be sat, was told the downstairs bar. Was then yelled at and told it was closed and we had to go upstairs. Once we sat upstairs we were then asked if our dog was a service animal, that of which he is, and to show a card. A card has never been needed to prove whether or not he can perform a service. Was then told we couldn’t sit upstairs when that is what we were initially told. All in a very rude manner when it could have been simple from the beginning. My wife and I got married in Pepin over the weekend and made a couple stops at the Pickle Factory. We went for lunch on the Friday before we got married and since we were at a place called the Pickle Factory, we decided to get fried pickles, a pickle beer, and dill pickle flatbread. We enjoyed the fried pickles and the pickle beer was okay, while the flatbread was good not great. We then went back later that night after our rehearsal dinner for drinks and they stayed open well beyond closing to accommodate our group and ensure we had a good time. We had some pickle shots which were…. Interesting haha. Overall we enjoyed our experiences here and enjoyed the friendly service! Weather was crappy when we were there so couldn’t enjoy the nice outdoor area with the view of the lake but is still in a very nice and scenic area.

Hello, we flew in from Destin Florida to visit the Mayo Clinic for a check up for my husband. My daughter who lived here for six years said you must go to the pickle factory. It’s amazing well it sure was. We met Paul the owner. We were sitting downstairs and he actually gave me a glass of the pickle beer, which I had two more after that amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I wish that you would have one of these places in Destin Florida you would make a killing. They really need you and a place like this there Just to let you all know. Asked for the "Haddock" from the online menu and was told it's fish and chips with an eye roll. Got the food to go after a 25 minute wait and a few drinks while trying not to engaging the bartender plus giving her a good tip. I got one floppy and undercooked fillet for $15.99. Good bar minus the person that I tipped and the price per a single fillet that I could have grabbed from Walmart and fried better for much less money and unwarranted animosity. Wow.

The food here is so very good and so much fun. They have a good mixed drink menu and beer menu. What really makes the deal is the service is exceptional. We ate here the day after Valentines Day (which is also my wife's birthday). I wish we had come here on Valentines Day/Birthday instead of eating in Wabasha. Here they still had decorations up from day before and the special menu and made my wife feel happy on her day. Not the poor experience we had across the river. So if you are in Pepin WI and looking for a place to eat or drink I highly recommend this place. I rarely give out all 5 stars in my reviews, but this one did it.

The Pickle Factory did not disappoint! It was busy when we arrived, but the wait staff was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. We tried the cheese curd burger, sweet potato fries, and the signature Pickle Factory flatbread—and WOW, everything was phenomenal.

The flatbread had the perfect balance of pickle and dill, and the bang bang sauce on the burger was packed with flavor. Every bite was delicious, and we have absolutely no complaints.

You can’t forget the view of the river—it was perfect! We can’t wait to come back in the summer to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

We then returned for dinner the next night hoping for the best, but they have inaccurate business hours listed online, which led to a wasted trip. We watched 3 other groups walk in and leave as well. The food is always amazing. You have to get the fried pickles and if you're wanting a great burger, this place never disapoints. 5 stars for food, 2 stars for service. The last few times I've stopped, the staff openly argues with each other in front of patrons, they ignore you when you come in the door, and I hope you don't have to use the restroom while you're there. To start things off, the location is great, the staff was phenomenal, the owner was helping out everywhere he could, the food was fantastic, and I have to say my old fashion was one of the best. Highly recommend this place. They were awesome with all the kids we had and was a delight for my grandmother. Great family place to meet.

When traveling south along the Mississippi, we often stop at the Pickle Factory. They have good pub food and a nice view of the river. And, we were told, it was once a pickle factory!

Stopped in on our way through town in October. We sat inside with a beautiful view of the lake and fall colors. Lunch was delicious. The bloody Mary's had great flavor and spice. The fried pickle spears definitely a winner. Service was midwest kind.

Worst service ever, was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait for a table as cooks were backed up in the kitchen ….although people arriving after us at the Bar were being served in record time . waited for a table for over a hour, with several empty tables throughout the seating area and outside patio. Left and went to another establishment in town “Captain’s Legacy’’ Service and food was amazing …

Absolutely terrible been here 3 times worst service I’ve ever seen sat there for an hour and a half and only got half our food that was ordered ended up paying and leaving…. When asked about our experience I said terrible and all I got was an I’m sorry for your experience

Hostess and waitress were friendly and helpful. Nice patio seating , not too busy for weekend outing and view of the Wisconsin River was beautiful. food was great, drinks were good. Overall pleasant visit. Will be visiting again.

If you’re looking for a good patio, don’t be fooled. It is in a great location and nice atmosphere BUT you have to walk upstairs to get food and the bartender/server is RUDE! Want you on a limited menu(even though you have to get it yourself with a buzzer) you can’t bring salt, ketchup or any other condiments down stairs. Place has potential to be awesome but we won’t be back based on her service today. We will boat elsewhere.

Food was 15 to 20 minutes late for a pick up order, which I can let slide because it was busy, so I got a $6, cider, and $2 tip and waited, food arrives, I take my food, got to my destination (5 minutes away) food is already lukewarm at best, ok, but items were missing from order, 5 minutes there again 5 minutes back, but what truly bothered me was the lack of the initial apology, the excuse of we are really busy was quick to come out, but the sorry only comes out after I'm visibly perturbed. My point is $63, for my meal, which was late (ok, I get it), but you couldn't take that 15-20 minutes extra and make sure it was right, then the first thing I hear is an excuse and not an apology, fair to say it was disappointing, and a fair scale ranking

Beautiful location on the water! Large parking lot. Inside decor is exposed wood, large windows, and lovely views of the Mississippi River and adjacent marina. There is an outside deck with seating overlooking the Minnesota bluffs and river. Busy place, so it took a while to get our food, which was very tasty. Wait staff was attentive and friendly, but busy! It probably didn't help that we were here on a beautiful, sunny June afternoon 😎

Young server was very helpful and attentive.
The kitchen got behind and wouldn't let the servers put in food orders, so she was working extra hard to keep us full on drinks, etc. This is the first time that I have seen the kitchen get behind like this, so still 5 stars. The food is consistently quality.
