The food here is fantastic! The first time was a week ago, and then just this week again. The restaurant cook/owner actually remembered me, based on my order the week before. He said rarely do people order what I did, the way I did. The food comes out fast and hot, and the taste is terrific. In addition the pies are great! All home made pies, NOT the junk most restaurants have because they order from the big food delivery companies.

Driving through town never been here before and I saw THE PIE SHACK! Who wouldn't stop! Vintage atmosphere 👌🏽 and delicious pie 🥧 that's a win win! I've been driving 9 miles each way for breakfast at the pie shack for about 4 years now. We rent a lakeside cottage on Green Lake for a couple weeks at a time in late May and late August. She works on writing her current book and still sees clients on zoom, so I get to find a place with pancakes. I have high standards, so when I say that Jay makes the best and largest buttermilks I've enjoyed. High praise. Since that's what i eat here, I can only add that sll of their offerings, including their homemade pies, look great and are quite popular. Carla runs their adjacent deli in this vintage corner building.

Hubby and I split lunch here, a wrap and sweet potato fries, all very good. We each had a piece of pie, oh my, delicious!! I had the peanut butter, he had the cookie dough! A lot of reviewers here say the food is excellent, so maybe breakfast is just a weak point and not representative of the restaurant as a whole. I ordered the spinach mushroom and feta omlette and received the soggiest most flavorless pile of wet leaves and egg I've ever eaten. My husband got the denver omlette, and it was certainly better but still had zero spices, not even salt. We had two adult breakfast entrees and two kids breakfast entrees, plus some pie and coffee. We've been to several other diners across the fox valley and this was by far the most expensive for the least amount of food. The pie was phenomenal but not really enough to make up for the poor quality and high price of the meal. The waitress was very friendly but we thought we had been forgotten once or twice because we sat for like 15 to 20 minutes waiting for our pie, and another 20 minutes waiting for the check once we were done. The aesthetic is great and it's a very nice and clean place but we will likely never come back, at least not for breakfast.

I'm in town for a short business visit to perform at the Berlin Library and arrived way ahead of schedule. When I asked Kris at the library for a lunch recommendation, she said Pie Shack was right around the corner and my best bet.

She was absolutely right!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Even their other patrons were friendly, as one gentleman eating alone offered me a seat as his table while I waited since most of the tables were full. (I was getting it carry out because I keep a live dove with me for my magic show so I wanted to eat in the car with the AC on).

Turned out he was also local entertainment for the library, as he was Santa each year, I learned as we spoke.

The food was ready quickly and it was absolutely delicious! My spinach, feta and mushroom omelet was hot, fresh and yummy!

I took a chance on the fresh fruit cup. I say that because I rarely get them anymore since the fruit is rarely fresh in most places.
At Pie Shack, it was some of the freshest fruit I've had in a long time!

I travel all over the Midi-West and don't always find places as friendly and impressive.

Pie Shack is HIGHLY recommended and I'll be stopping back next time I'm in town!

I would like to start off with that the service was overall great. She was a really nice young woman. But the food was overall room temperature or cold but the plates were warm. Awesome little restaurant in a historic building and setting. Great breakfast, huge pancakes, and awesome pies (I had a slice of cherry and even though I'm not really big on sweets I ate the huge slice in one sitting!). The adjoining deli is very cool and quaint as well serving Boar's Head brand sliced to order meats and cheeses, sandwiches, and prepared salads. Took home some potato salad and caprese salad. Potato salad was good but I loved the caprese salad. Def going back soon.

Have been to the pie shack twice in the last week. Shawna was our server both times and was phenomenal!! We were well taken care of, our drinks were never low, our food came out quickly, and she struck a great balance between being friendly and conversational and letting us enjoy our meal. The meal, speaking of which, was EXCELLENT both times so major props to the kitchen staff! And their pies are great as well. This is a great little local spot to stop in Berlin if you’re in the neighborhood 🙂

The breakfast food used to be really good. Now it's almost like eating at McDonald's. Under cooked hash browns, eggs are flavorless, burnt toast.
It's cheap and quick, normally we can pick our order up in about 10 minutes.
But it's just gone down hill. Maybe dining in is better than take away, but honestly we've started avoiding getting food from here. Breakfast or lunch.
The burgers used to be great too. Juicey and perfectly seasoned. Now they are dry and gray with no flavoring.
It's cheap, and a little bit better than McDonald's, but don't expect to be extremely wowed.

After living in Berlin for almost 3 years I finally stopped in for lunch. Hannah was our waitress and she was so sweet and very attentive. Our food came out in 7 minutes and was incredible. We stumbled upon this adorable place while our gps had is going on circles to an event. While we were annoyed to be hour behind we were very happy to have found this gem! I absolutely loved this place, the waitress was excellent with her services, super friendly. Fast service in preparation of my order was amazing.. the food was very good, bacon cheeseburger so juicy, cooked perfectly. But to top the meal was a piece of pie, several to choose from, all homemade just like Grandma made, the pecan was superb with real WI Whipped Cream. The Pie Shack rates an A+. While visiting Berlin from Oconomowoc, we stopped for lunch and are very glad we did. My wife had the Ruben and I had the Buffalo chicken wrap. Then we had some strawberry rhubarb pie. We used to have a place like this but now we are Ocondo-mowoc so no room for a great and simple old fashioned eatery like the Pie Shack. Great place, great food, and Shawna did a great job serving.
