Cute place super close to the ferry :) I had the brisket and it was super tender with an excellent bbq sauce. Fried onions were quite good. The service was amazing and they went above and beyond!

We were a group of four adults. My wife and I shared the Beef Brisket and mac n’ cheese. Absolutely delicious! Great portion size even to share! The cheese curds were good too. The couple we dinned with had the Beef brisket sandwich, side of onion rings, and the beef brisket quesadilla. Everyone in our group were full and completely satisfied. The service was excellent and fast. From ordering, Young lady at the ordering counter was friendly and helpful. Food was hot and served within 10 minutes. She also checked in a couple times to see how we were doing! The restaurant was very clean, and tables were never left dirty for more than 2 minutes after other guests finished. The prices were less than we expected for being very touristy and on an island. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for the smoked bbq place!

My friends and I went to 50 cent wing night during the 4th of July weekend and it was such a great experience! The staff was super accommodating and the food was great. I definitely recommend this spot for anyone visiting the island! I’ll be back.

We visited during the 4th of July weekend and found the staff and food to be amazing. It started with the live music event on Thursday which was very cool. My gf and I decided to keep going back the rest of the weekend for more of the great food, friendly service and warm atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend The Point Grille - we like it better than the other wonderful restaurants on the Island.

Unfortunately went to point grille as our second choice. Food took forever to come out, restaurant was not that busy. Myself and two others got the chicken salad wrap. Rather than being shredded chicken like a normal chicken salad, it appeared to be blended to nearly a paste and packed into the tortilla, with very little other toppings. The burger was terrible, gray and flavorless, worse than burger king. Everyone in our party got sick immediately after. One had a positive experience with the nachos.

It's not fast, on Island time, which we like. The food is great. Eat here. You'll be back!

We had a awesome breakfast. We had the biscuits and gravy. It was huge but awesome. The staff was very nice. It is at the front of the island by the car ferry.

The menu was not what I expected from a BBQ place. That being said the food was delicious and they have a dog friendly patio. The server brought a bowl of water out for her as well!

We ordered two half chicken lunch specials. They came severly undercooked and inedible. I showed the server, and he said they would bring two new ones.
The owner came back with two new servings and then proceeded to lecture us about how the chicken wasn't actually undercooked and talked about how bad the server messed up by taking our food back. I BBQ chicken frequently and know what raw looks like (pink translucent meat, this wasn't smoke ring pink).
She told us that they temped the two new pieces of chicken to 190. If they did, it was with an infrared because the new pieces were just as raw as the first underneath the first half inch of meat. We decided to just not eat the chicken and leave.
Everyone else we interacted with on this island was wonderful. Based on the responses to other negative comments from this owner, she is probably going to call me a name and explain it away and say I don't know what I'm talking about.
If you want dangerously undercooked chicken and terrible customer service, this spot is perfect for you.

My daughter has celiac disease and this restaurant offered multiple gluten free options and we felt completely safe eating the options. Great GF biscuits and fried chicken (doesn’t matter if you aren’t GF because they are so good!)

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! This was our first time on Washington Island and this was the best food we've had in all of Door County. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my fiancé had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were fresh, hot, and exquisitely prepared. The staff were also very nice and were conversational and provided good recommendations for spots to visit. We're home now and are already very much looking forward to visiting again next year.

We had a group of six and ordered our food to eat in. A while later, the cook comes out with our food in a big box. We were confused and said we were eating in. The lady that took our order said, "Just do whatever you want." We took our box and sat outside. The food was ok, but very pricey. The service is what ruined our experience. We felt like we were kicked out. Wish I could have taken back my tip. I am never tipping again until I am done eating going forward.

Predictably good food. Had lunch with 3 guys who like to eat. Pretzel roll was perfect for the BBQ pulled pork or brisket sandwich. Fries were both tasty and a nice portion. Solid assortment of beers. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Clean!

Food is great. Servers were not. Waited for 30 minutes just for 2 drinks, and the people in line after us got served first. There were only 4 tables that were full. Do better.

Small grill on Washington Island. We arrived for lunch after few trekking under the sun looking for somewhere to get some energy back.
It was Sunday of the 4 Jul weekend and tons of people were looking for the same there throughout the whole island (this was the second restaurant we queued in after a 25 minute wait at another place and already sick of lones not moving). We waited in line for about 10 minutes to place our order and provided with a number. About 20 minutes later a different order came to the table, however we did not realize right away, so we started eating it. We then realized that our order was misplaced and inquired to learn more. The owner of the place showed up and in few minutes, straightened things up with great customer care and being supportive of the situation. We understood that it is unusual for a small place like this to maintain a steady rithm during such a busy day, however it was clear that everyone was doing their best, smiling and keeping ul with orders as much as they could. We got offered some of the chef's special fried cheese for the day and that was greatly appreciated.
The place was also offering a couple of vegan option in the menu that makes the place more accessible to everyone.
The selection of meat is wide and the prices are accessible.

The pulled pork quesadilla and the burgers are great, especially with garlic Parmesan fries. Good selection of drinks including root beer and lemonade. Most of the outdoor seating is nicely shady.

I got a pork sandwich, and the barbecue sauce was very good (it’s made in house I’m pretty sure). I heard the nachos were also delicious. They also have a fairly wide selection of drinks (including every flavor of Sprecher’s, which is some of the best soda in the world), and we were offered a free one since one of the e-bikes we checked out from the Island Adventure Company had its battery die.

Let me start by saying the food was really good (a 4/5). Unfortunately, our experience we really bad (1/5) - Maybe we visited on an ‘off’ day. Visited on 7/16 about 1 pm. We decided to go there because their website listed street tacos. Unfortunately, their menu inside is not representative of their website :( Maybe 1/3 or the tables were full. 1 person in line ahead of us. We ordered a pulled pork plate and a brisket plate (not a big menu). We took our number and sat down outside. 15 minutes later, 2 staff members start walking around to all the tables telling people they are out of brisket (seemed strange at 1:30 in the afternoon when all that’s on the menu is pulled pork and brisket), but ok -we say we’ll substitute brisket for pulled pork. (FYI, brisket is $4 more than pulled pork, but they never said anything about a refund or adding additional to make up the cost difference). Then we start seeing people who ordered after us getting their food. By now, we’re there for 30 min, still no food. No updates or sense of urgency from the staff. So we go in to see what’s going on, by now there are multiple people who are in the same situation as us. They tell us they’re ‘swamped’, but no one waiting in line and still 1/3 of tables filled. I flagged down who I think was an owner. She didn’t understand why we hadn’t gotten our food , but did take care of having it made up in a few minutes. They ‘upgraded’ us to fries from chips (but didn’t tell us) which was also odd because fries weren’t on the menu and what if we didn’t want fries? She also told us to grab whatever drinks we wanted from the cooler. There was no help wanted sign outside, so I don’t think this was a staff shortage. The food business is not an easy one - customer service is just as important as the food. unfortunately we won’t be back since it didn’t seem like our order mattered.

Just stopped on the way off the island, I went with the pulled pork sandwich it was delicious! And as for the slaw… hands down the best I’ve EVER had. The owners were very nice and was able to have a nice conversation while waiting. Thank you guys, I’ll definitely be back.

Not very good. All the photos are definitely not what we experienced. The pulled pork and brisket were re-warmed and dry. The nachos were just okay. Definitely skip the Mac N Cheese, very bland and dry. For obvious reasons they are "the best on the island" as its the only bbq there. Staff were real friendly, but food was definitely not to previous reviews.

Looks can be deceiving. The "restaurant" is more of a small convenience store than an actual restaurant, but the food and service are great. The staff is super friendly and helpful regarding some food allergies in our party. The menu is not extensive, but the BBQ brisket, pulled pork nachos, brats, and drinks we had were all really good. It's the little things like a really good bun for the brats or super moist brisket that make a difference. Highly recommend The Point for a quick bite.

Wanting something quick to eat before leaving Washington Island we stopped at the Point Grille. It is a small restaurant inside an equipment rental place. I was surprised by the quality of the food. I had a Cheese Quesadilla with smoked chicken which was wonderful.

We were anxious to try The Point Grille based on other reviews. We stopped in while biking to make sure of their hours and menu. We even talked to the cook to ensure the kitchen would be open and let him know we'd be coming in later that day. Unfortunately, when we got there over an hour before their posted and stated closing time, they were already closed. I think the owner is very laid back and just opens whenever he feels like it. Not a great way to run a business.
