Came here around noon on a Saturday, ordered food for 5 people, after half hour, one plate was served at the table and was told the other ones would be about 15/20 min wait on the other plates….. for the price of the food I’d highly recommend going to a legitimate sit down restaurant and actually getting real service especially paying full prices on food that you essentially sever yourself..

What a cozy restaurant! I loved the rustic charm of the wood paneling, floors and decor. It was also nice to have the option of inside or covered outside seating. The staff were absolutely the sweetest and it was hard to pick what to order! I went with the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potatoes fries and was not disappointed. Plus a little scoop of ice cream for my 1 year old for dessert (yes they have high chairs). I can’t wait to come back next time I am in town!

Do not judge a book by it's cover!! I was a little apprehensive pulling up, like it's an ice cream place that has a little food. Nope. The other way around. They started as an ice cream parlor that served pizza, but have become an eatery that serves ice cream. The Smash Burger was awesome. The pizza has a unique flavor, good sauce, and reasonable prices. Will be back again when in the area.

Stopped in a whim and ordered take out pizza. Had the taco pizza and it was delicious! Waited over 45 minutes but we didn’t have any where else to go so it was ok to wait. The staff was very kind and asked if we wanted a scoop of ice cream while we waited which was a nice gesture. If we’re around Prairie again, this will be a must stop for sure.

We arrived for our first time here. Staff noticed us and explained how it would be best to grab a table to ensure we had a seat then our options were to order at the register or use the qr code. Food was really good, a bit salty though. We got a customized pizza, and a couple burgers. Lots of options for sauces and sides.

The employees were all nice but we really only saw one lady cleaning tables and answering questions but no one came up to us for like 15 minutes and we were already trying to order with the QR code. She told us we can go up to the register too but we were almost done with doing it on our phone and we had six people so it would have been inconvenient to do that.
It is not a traditional full service establishment which most people may be fine with but it felt very odd and messy to us. The ordering form on the website seemed as though it was lacking some information, like the pizza sauce options didnt say anything about a regular sauce just add ons so we weren't sure if it even came with a red sauce so we did a different one that cost more. Essentially, a few things that you could ask a waitress.
You also have to get your own drinks, just have to get cups from up front.
Oh, and bus your own tables!

Which again may be fine for most people but this place appears to be a regular restaurant and its not.

But again food was pretty good!

Great ice cream with a nice variety of flavors, and we had the fried chicken sandwiches, which was good as well. The staff were very friendly and checked in on us. The porch is air-conditioned and comfortable on our hot day. The only negative was that the food took a long time to get, but they were busy, and we were not in a rush.

My boyfriend and I are from Indiana. We are staying in Iowa for a mini vacation and went hiking at Pikes Peak State Park. We decided to hop across the state border into Wisconsin for our dinner. We fell upon The Porch and were extremely happy with our meals (Prime steak & cheese, and Battered shrimp). We both agreed they were delicious and wish we could have tried more options as too much sounded good! Everyone that we encountered that was working was so kind. We were visiting from out of town and stumbled across The Porch—it looked like the perfect place to satisfy everyone in our group, with options like pizza, burgers, and ice cream. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and even though it's more of a counter-service setup, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Honestly, they checked in on us and made us feel more valued than some full-service restaurants.

We ordered pizza, and it was fantastic—loaded with toppings and rich in flavor. What most places would call "extra cheese" and "extra everything" seemed to be their standard. If we had more time in town, I’d definitely come back to try the burgers too!

Highly recommend if you're looking for casual dining with great food and even better service.

This review is based entirely on the quality of the Philly Cheesesteak pizza on their traditional crust and their takeout service. I did not go inside.

The pizza was a 10/10.

The inside of the crust was doughy and warm, while the outside was perfectly crispy 👌

The garlic butter base was an interesting choice. A great one. It worked fantastically with the rest of the flavors 👌

The shaved prime rib was tender and flavorful without being overseasoned 👌

The diced onions and green peppers were Fresh with a capital F: crisp, crunchy, flavorful, and completely uncooked. Perfect. No notes 👌

The mushrooms were warm and crispy, though I could have happily eaten a lot more of them 👌

The cheese was excellent. Piled on densely, it was firm rather than stringy, with great taste 👌

The value was spot on. This is definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation. The large pie on traditional crust cost about $30 before tip. That might seem high for one pizza, but it’s 100% fair in my opinion 👌

Takeout was easy. We called and placed the order quickly. They told us 25–30 minutes, and they nailed it 👌

This place is an absolute gem.

We had the pleasure of being helped by Trish who was so sweet and patient. We ended up ordering the veggie pizza, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and got two waffle cones that each had two different scoops of ice cream.

The first thing we tried was the ice cream and oh my was it DELICIOUS. The ice cream was creamy and so flavorful. The best part was you could eat each flavor and move on to the next and the flavors didn’t mix. There were many ice cream flavors it was hard to choose which to do because they all looked so good.

You could either dine here or get food for takeout which is great. Food wise there seemed to be a lot of options and the food was great. I’m honestly not much of an olive eater but decided to go with the veggie thin crust pizza and I didn’t regret it one bit.

We will definitely be back in the future when we go hiking in Wyalusing.

They have beer & some seltzers but don't have a full liquor license. Also this is place where you place you order at a central location and they bring out you out your food later. My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite sometime. We ordered a pizza. When the pizza was delivered we were very surprised as to how charred it was. The crust and toppings were black! My husband asked to have another pizza made and we were instructed by the manager that this is how the pizzas are served and if customers don't like it like that they need to ask them not to be baked that long??. The pizza was black! We were not asked if we would want another pizza prepared rather we were told " I hope you enjoy it". We came out last week to hike in the Driftless Area and had a need for pizza and The Porch did not disappoint. In fact we had to pick up our socks after eating because the food knocked them off.

The 3 season porch ambiance was great and we had great service and the food was top notch! I have been in hundreds of pizza places since my college days and The Porch Deluxe was definitely in the top 3 pizzas I have had in my life. I can't remember when I have had a better or fresher tasting pizza. We also had the chicken bacon ranch which was equally good. I have this from my son who is a self-professed Ranch dressing connoisseur. He is very particular about ranch.

The Porch is now at the top of our list whenever we swing through this area.

We were staying at a cabin close to town and frequented the Porch for food and ice cream during our stay. The staff was really friendly and the food was good. We dined in late afternoon one day, grabbed ice cream for an afternoon treat another day and took a pizza home after doing some activities in town another day. An amazing place, where families can gather and spend time together! Life seems to slow down when you are here! I love once you walk in, there is a basket of cards (Uno, a deck, etc), that you can grab a pack and play! Current people just can not supply customer. Placed a 30min online order and having to wait another 15 when get there. Hope food at least better than others around here. Im just disappointed that they ask for tip before you get your food so tipped for no reason. So far best experience has been at black angus!!!! Was pricey but so good amd reasonable time frame. If I could give seven stars I would! I can’t have gluten or dairy, and it can be hard to find places to eat. My wife (who is able to eat gluten and dairy) and I split the Porch Deluxe on a gluten free crust (the crust is also dairy free, for those who can’t have that), half with no cheese. She said it tasted just like a regular crust, and I have to say it was the best gluten free crust I’ve ever had. Tons of toppings, everything was stellar. We’ll be back for sure.

We came for ice cream while on a girls trip. The ice cream was delicious! And one of the employees (possibly a manager?) was so kind and helped us take pictures of our group to remember the special day. She even moved some stuff in the dining area for the perfect pic! We will remember the ice cream but even more so the kindness of the staff.

Food is very good. I was pleased to discover that they offer a cauliflower crust and a wide variety of toppings. My grandkids love the cheesy breads. Self-serve drink fountain, place order at counter and they bring it to table, indoor seating or seating on the enclosed porch, friendly employees relaxed atmosphere, open on Mondays when many local restaurants are closed.They also offer take-out. Parking is limited during daytime hours. Worth checking out this restaurant and I will go back!

Adorable, family friendly, clean place with simple but yummy sandwiches, pizza, and ice cream. We found it online while we were passing through. Lots of locals stopped in for pickup while we ate--always a good sign. Owners and workers Wisconsin-friendly. Enjoyed our visit!

The quality of foo outweighs the seat and get your own stuff atmosphere. We had gluten free pizza, regular pizza, boneless wings, and chicken sandwich. All delicious and worth the 45 min drive. We will go back!

My wife and i had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. This thing was so good. It came on what seemed fresh garlic bread , side of fries, and augu sauce. This sandwich was one of the best i have ever had. Highly recommend at least stopping in and trying their food. They have tons of ice cream flavors as well and a kids menu.
