The best way to describe this hotel was, an unexpected surprise. Great area, very close to everything including the marina. They have a little kitchenette that was fully stocked with platewareband various food options that were all complimentary. ive stayed in many hotels that would never do that..the room was beautiful and clean..The innkeeper Nicole was very pleasant and just by talking to her, you could tell she truly cared about her guests experiences.Loved it! Cannot say enough good things!

This was really nice! We stayed in suite 201 with the spa tub. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel and the room were very clean and inviting. everything we needed was within walking distance. there was a help yourself kitchen (lounge). not sure if the blower runs when you turn on the fireplace but we had to turn it off as it got really hot in the room. But it might be a nice thing in the fall or winter.
The only thing i would change is adding more pillows, There were only two on the bed and you need more than that if you wanna watch tv.

A quaint hotel with self check-in. Great location downtown near the sites of Port Washington.
Very friendly staff and a clean environment.
Sort of a bed and breakfast vibe.

The Port is great, old hotel in the heart of Port Washington. The rooms are like a B&B, with elegant style. The entire experience is more 'self serve' which takes some getting used to.

My wife and I got spent a night away for our anniversary here. The self-check in and parking were seamless, and the room was spotless clean and beautiful. We had room 307, which had a great view of the lake. The help-yourself breakfast was delicious. We'll be back!

Our 3rd stay at the hotel and it is wonderful. We love staying here, itβs comfy and cozy and has everything you need. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and on site parking. The lounge has everything you need and is well stocked. If youβre looking for peace and quiet, this is the place, very nice furnishings and will stay here when we visit the region.

Had an excellent stay at the Port Hotel. Spaces were clean and amenities were top quality. Staff is irregularly in the building but very easy to contact. Close to everything we wanted to see with adequate parking.
Unsure of the exact relationship but the restaurant on the first floor was nearly the best meal we had while visiting, 5 stars for them too!

A very authentic & romantic airbnb. We had a room on the 2nd floor (room 204 - The Highlander Sea) with a 4 poster king bed, gas fireplace and tv. The walk in shower had numerous shower heads. The pantry just outside of our room had breakfast & snack items, fruit, juice and refrigerated and frozen items. Microwave, fridge, toaster and fridge/freezer were all clean and newer. There also fresh baked goods and pastries. It is located in downtown historic Port Washington within a block of beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The only downside is the rooms are on the 2nd floor and since it's a historic building, there's no elevator. The Moonlight Tavern has a supper club vibe and I will post a seperate review because it was amazing.

I needed to lock myself into a hotel room to get away from all the distractions in life and finish a Court of Appeals brief with a fast approaching deadline. I searched many hotels to find a room that inspired me, and instantly fell in love with the charm of Room 304 at the Port Hotel. It provided a quiet and comfortable place so I could just concentrate and be happy and write persuasively. A bonus perk was that there was a nice variety of complimentary breakfasts, pastries, snacks and unlimited coffee. It was the perfect place for peace, tranquility, and to have little breaks to walk the shores of Lake Michigan to recharge.

What a great stay. The location was great and parking close. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered by bedtime. The restaurant was a nice supper club menu and reasonable prices. The common kitchen was fully stocked with the comforts of home and lots of goodies. We would definitely come back again.

Very nice room, well appointed & clean. We were on the 3rd floor; there's a well stocked lounge on the 2nd floor, which we found to be very convenient and complete with modern appliances.
We were a block from the lively & walkable downtown.
We had such a comfy quiet weekend here. Supper Club is on the premises too with very good food!

Disappointed with Our Experience at The Port Hotelβ¦Buyer Beware
I recently stayed at The Port Hotel for what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing girls' getaway, but our experience was anything but enjoyable. Despite the hotel's advertised reputation as a perfect spot for groups of women, we encountered several frustrating issues during our stay.
Firstly, my group of professional women was falsely accused of being drunk and loud, which was simply untrue. We were having a few drinks and enjoying each other's company, but we were respectful of our surroundings. To our shock, we were informed that we would not receive our deposit back, which was supposedly for potential property damage to which nothing was damaged. This left us feeling scammed and unfairly treated.
Additionally, the hotel manager claimed they had called the police over noise complaints, but we called the police department and that was a complete lie. It felt like they were trying to cover their tracks instead of addressing the situation professionally.
I cannot recommend The Port Hotel for a girls' getaway or any stay; based on this experience. Instead of enjoying a relaxing weekend, we left feeling wronged and cheated. Save your money and look elsewhere for a hospitable and enjoyable environment.

First time staying here, and would likely stay here again.|Pros: Location, very comfy bed, great water pressure in shower, loved the guest lounge with coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, etc.; quaint look and feel. Loved the restaurant and bar on first floor; no problems finding close parking|Cons: The stairs! I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator. Not the end of the world, but lugging heavy bags up to the 3rd floor on steep stairs that don't meet code wasn't fun. Even with the A/C on, the room had a dampness to it. Would have liked extra pillows. The decorative ones on the bed weren't really doable for sleeping.|Overall, we loved being so close to everything in Port Wash. The farmer's market was right out front, you can walk to everything, and the restaurant and bar was great. Two nights the fire engines/ sirens went racing by and that was a bit jolting, but very comfortable otherwise. While we had no issues, I can see not having an on-site innkeeper could be an issue if something arises.

The location is the best part! Port Washington is wonderful and the restaurant connected was so convenient. Overall Iβd stay here again and totally suggest it with the caveat of self sufficiency being ok with you and not expecting total perfection.
The outside looks to be in some needed renovation, the room was clean all besides some leftover garbage in corners which seemed gross, the bed was nice and blanket but the pillows were terrible. The feather kind that go instantly flat. My main concern was it was hard to reach an innkeeper who isnβt on site to ask for things such as a different pillow, to tell that the kitchen was filled with fruit flies, explain that WiFi wasnβt working, asking for a copy of the invoice. I was traveling for buisness as well and was bummed to find out breakfast isnβt served until 9am which is just too late to go to work on a week day. There was some day-old stuff that looked great so I imagine breakfast could be pretty good. There were some wonderful features such as mostly clean room, bed and blanket nice, first aid kit accessible, and snacks in the kitchen. I booked last minute too and appreciate being able to get in.

While I wanted to love this property, there were some big omissions that really need to be addressed. The room was well appointed and very cozy; however, there was very little toilet paper on the roll when we arrived (with no backups) & when we called & texted the proprietor to get more, our calls went completely unanswered. He was very responsive, accommodating & nice when we made the reservation. There were extra toiletries & towels to be had, but no toilet paper! So, we had to secure our own in town. Yes, really! The tv never worked either! Additionally, one of the Kleenex boxes was empty & a drink stirrer was prominently laying on the floor, so whomever made up the room, did not do it well. I do know that the entire hotel had been rented out the night before for a wedding party, but still! My concern is that without a proprietor available even by phone, what if there were a real emergency and no one was available?

This is real Americana, a wonderful, welcoming -- and historic! -- place to stay in a wonderful town on Lake Michigan. The rooms are authentically furnished, and supremely comfortable with great beds, pillows (our room even had a gas fireplace, lovely!). The hotel's lounge is fantastic -- everything you need for breakfast and snacks, generously stocked with fresh pastries, fruit, yogurts, breakfast burritos, energy bars, cereals of all kinds, juices, beer, coffees and tea. Host Jim Read made this a truly unforgettable stay -- in a town where there's great shopping, great restaurants (including one in the hotel), and excellent lakeside walks. a great bargain, too. We'll definitely be back!!

Real Americana -- an historic old hotel, authentically furnished -- and complete with lovely hospitality, in a beautiful lakeside town. Host Jim Read makes this the place to go on the lake -- near all the Port Washington shops and great restaurants (including the hotel's own), lots of free parking. Friendly folks and fantastic natural setting. And there's more: a great hotel lounge stocked with everything for breakfast and snacks: fresh pastries, yogurts, cereals, breakfast burritos, energy bars, fruit, coffees and teas, juices, you name it. Our room even had a gas fireplace, great for cold nights. Our family loved this place -- warm, welcoming, with tons of personality -- and a great deal to boot.

I have many things about this hotel. Please keep in mind this is my own personal opinion and some of these things may or may not bother some. I am not going to say what I did and didn't like I am simply going to give you my observations. 1st off the location is great, close to everything however depending on when you get here parking is terrible when 1st arriving. I would not recommend reserving a room on the second floor. I originally had called and reserved a room on the 3rd floor only to find out the next day it was already reserved. I wanted a room with a Jacuzzi so my only other option was the second floor room. If I would've known I would've chose another hotel. Room 201 is connected to both stairwells so you hear everyone going up and down the steps. It is also connected to the bar below so you hear the jukebox from the time the restaurant opens until close. You hear every car that goes by and if people are out talking you can here the whole conversation as if they were right next to you. Of course you can hear the people above you walking around but I could also hear the person above us snoring all night. The food in the restaurant connected to the hotel for us anyways was not very good. There was no way to get bottled water, so gas station it is. Would I stay here again, unfortunately no. If you can get a 3rd floor room it may be worth it for you. These are my opinions and observations.

We stayed at the Port Hotel on Friday and Saturday nights in mid October. It is a wonderful small hotel. Our room (306) was very large and had a hot tub in the main part of the room. There is a couch and comfortable chair. The bathroom is divided; sink in one area and toilet and walk-in shower in a separate room. This is not a bed and breakfast, but there are frozen omelettes, juice, etc. in the second-floor lounge. We saw the owner a few times and he is very pleasant. There is an excellent restaurant on premises. The neighborhood is good. There are two things we did not like. The steps are steep and the rooms are on the second and third floors. If you canβt handle steps, donβt stay here. The other is minor. By todayβs standard, the TV is small. All in all, Port Hotel is a great place to stay.

Very nice updated hotel and a work in progress. All the rooms are updated and some have fireplaces. The Bar and restaurant serve excellent find and spirits and the staff is friendly and outgoing. The only drawback is that the rooms are on the second and third floors and there is no elevator. That said, an elevator is planned for 2024. The bar and restaurant is handicap accessible via a ramp. That alone is worth visiting as the food is excellent. The proprietor was quite helpful when we had an issue getting the TV to work. It took awhile to get it working but he stayed with it until he resolved it. π Itβs close to downtown and the lake. Highly recommend it.

Look elsewhere, no staff, inoperable shower, inferior continental breakfast. For the money, you would expect more. No one on the premise to help with a shower where the knob came off. A full trash bag was sitting in the hallway during the time we were there. The items left in the refrigerator and the freezer for the continental breakfast did not look fresh nor were the few pastry's on the counter. In the end we paid to sleep - no shower - no breakfast. Very disappointing for an inn that has great potential to be very nice.

The instructions sent by e-mail were unprintable (20% of the sentence length was not printed). The room was very well-appointed. Except for the vacuum that was left in the room, and the crap on the floors. Evidently, not only did they forget TO vacuum, they forgot THE vacuum. For the price of the room, one would expect something other than a shaky-screen CRT TV. The bed was very comfortable. The only clock in the room was the one on the cable box (no bedside alarm clock). The two-headed shower with all of the jets IS A JOKE! The side jets never functioned and it was a battle to turn the selector to get anything but cold water to come out. It is, though, located close to everything there is to see/do in Port Washington.

Location is perfect for the town. Rooms were nice, beds very comfy. The proprietor was very friendly. Unfortunately this was let down by a couple of issues: there is no elevator so we had to lug all our suitcases up two flights of very steep stairs (we were aware there was no elevator but didn't realise how steep the stairs were going to be). The proprietor offered to help but actually dragged one suitcase very roughly up the stairs which led to the case breaking. When we got to the room the toilet was blocked, and it took us ages to find a member of staff to help as nobody on site. Breakfast was supposed to be provided, but when we got there was nothing to eat except chocolate cake or a frozen cheese omelette (I can't eat cheese). There was no bread, no milk, no bagels or muffins (even though there was a sign to say there were). Either they hadn't provided anything or some other selfish guests had eaten everything. Either way there was no staff on site to ask, so we then had to buy breakfast elsewhere, which is annoying as we'd paid the room rate to include breakfast. ||I wish we'd paid a bit more to stay at the Harbor View Hotel, it would have been cheaper in the long run, and we would have had a much nicer experience.

Fantastic location, bar/restaurant on the first floor and whole lot more withing walking distance. Exceptionally well maintained, clean room, modern plumbing, furniture is in old style but clean and functional.
I didn't see an elevator - pack accordingly, if that's an issue.
You'll do better if you book in advance - the booking system has issues if booked last minute. That was just our experience - we did not receive check in/out instructions, which might not be straight forward first time, also we got it worked out on the spot.

My rating would have been and should have been ZERO stars but Google doesnβt seem to allow less than one star. I wish I could tell you about my stay but I cannot. After accepting my reservation and allowing me to check in, the owner, contrary to the law, turned me and my blind girlfriend away because she needs and travels with a service dog. To turn away people with disabilities is not only illegal but it is morally reprehensible. Until this owner is closed down for repeatedly breaking the law, please do not give this morally bankrupt person your money. Stay somewhere else...anywhere else!

Before we got to the hotel I left several messages and emailed the site to have someone call me back to verify my reservation. Someone finally answered the and stated they would call me back on a half hour but we never received a call back. When We arrived the hostess stated that we were not to clean our shoes with the towels or we would be charged. Which is a confusing statement, as if we would do such a thing and such a welcoming statement should have never been said. Breakfast options were not all the options that were given on the website. The following morning we received a call from the front desk stating we requestes breakfast for four. We wrote exactly what was requested of us. They didnβt say good morning, or even asked about how was our night. What should have been a great experience turned out to be a nightmare. I would not recommend it for a couple that is looking for a stress free weekend.

We just stayed at the Inn. It is more of an Inn than a hotel. Our room was impeccably clean with a great views. Joe is a wonderful in keeper. Funny, and very helpful. The location is great, you can walk to everything. Port Washington is such a charming town. We are so glad we spent my birthday in Port Washington and at the Port Hotel. I would recommend the Jail House for steak and Newport Shores for a WI supper club. Joe has more recommendations. You will truly enjoy your stay. On top of it, the breakfast is wonderful. I canβt say enough on how great this is in for a relaxing time.

The decorations are distinct, and the rooma are very spacious. Both rooms are clean and the breakfast service was delivered timely and was very good. I will definitely come back and stay here at the Port Hotel the next time I am in Port Washington.

Great hotel! Clean rooms, amazing staff, comfortable high-quality bedding, and the bathrooms/showers are to die for. Breakfast room service every morning. 1-minute walk to Restaurants and lake views. I actually enjoy business travel when I stay!

What a joy! Historic place to stay with great amenities and an extremely pleasant staff. I would have gave this a 5 but there was an alarm system that woke us up at 4 am and didn't go off til close to 6am. I truly think this was out of their control, so we will be back!
Perfect romantic getaway.

My boyfriend brought me here for a surprise getaway. I was a little skeptical based on the outside appearance. But after walking into our room I was very pleased. The staff was amazing, full breakfast (seasoned to prefection) and a lake side view. Everything needed for a romantic getaway. Definitely a place to visit again!!

Horrible service. Had to ask to be seated, ask for menus, ask for drinks all after being seated and had to ask to order. Everything took forever. Ran out of steak and told us this after we already waited an hour for our food (steaks). My husband had to pick something else off of the menu and when they brought us our food they forgot his! Charged us βhalf priceβ for his entre as a curtesy-we should have paid nothing for it at the point but whatever. We asked why the prime rib and the ribeye were identicle when the waiter brought them out and we were told because they were both from a cow, itβs just in the way they cook it....? Ummm okay. Never refilled our drinks or water. At the end asked us not to write a bad review on them when we left. No joke!
Michael was our waiter... he is part owner-how embarrassing for him.

So now you go out for fine dining and have to see and listen to obnoxious TV. We were there to enjoy a nice dinner and had to endure the constant bell ringing of a game show. If I wanted to watch TV, I'd stay home or go to a sports bar. I'll never go back. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food good. TV, terrible idea.

Reserved a room for a trip to Port Washington with my wife and our children for her birthday. Found out while checking in on the day of our visit that The Port Hotel is an adult only establishment. Unfortunately that information was listed on a section of the website that you do not have to go to while reserving a room. As a result we were turned away on the day of our reservation after traveling out to Port Washington. As you can imagine we were horribly disappointed and left without a place to stay on one of the busiest places of the year. Maybe try making restricting policies like no children allowed in a more obvious place while booking a room.

Had a fantastic time in Port Washington and at the Port Hotel. The hotel is in a prime location steps away from downtown and even closer to the wine store (with tastings). The room was fantastic and definitely as advertised. Breakfast in bed included was such a perk, and trust me when I say the showers are amazing. Overall a definite 5 star stay!

Reservations for Mother's Day brunch. We had been there for brunch a couple years ago and it was very good. This time, no champagne with the brunch, a smaller selection of food, dessert selection poor, no smoked fish (in Port Washington!!!), no omelettes, and for $3.00 more per person we could have dined at the Osthoff.

Just as classy as a restaurant can be. Cozy and charming in every way. Nostalgic with plenty of historical feel. I try to come here at least once a month because it's a little pricy but worth every penny. It's a perfect place to get away and step back in time. If you want quality you won't find a better place in this town.

My wife and I were in for the Sunday brunch buffet, on New Year's Day. We arrived about midway into the 10 AM-2 PM serving period and were pleased to discover the food selection was not only rather extensive, it was kept neat and tidy, and promptly replenished when necessary.
Our waitress was friendly yet not terribly attentive. Had it not been a buffet, I would like to believe she would have put forth more effort to maintain contact with us.
All in all, I would definitely recommend The Port Hotel restaurant's brunch buffet.

This is the best place in town period. I have lived here for 15 years the service and food has always been good but It's also for people with class. So obviously these people who leave bad reviews and 1 star ratings don't have any class and just like to complain because they are cheap. I've noticed cheap people always complain the most just like in my business. My advise for you bunch of cry babies is go eat at webbs its fast and cheap just like you.

This review is for the hotel only.
My husband and I are in our late 20's and spent last weekend here. We had such a lovely time. Our room was perfectly clean and very cozy. We loved getting breakfast in bed. In the past we have stayed at the Washington House Inn in Cedarburg. This trip reminded me a lot of past stays there, except that it was more affordable and we really enjoyed the town of Port Washington more. The restaurant choices in the area were wonderful and because of the central location of the Port Hotel, it was so nice to be able to walk to everything. We interacted with Lena on staff and also the owner Joe. Both were very kind and accommodating. We have already talked about coming back in the future for our next weekend getaway (which doesn't happen often with young children). We have already recommended this place to a few friends and will continue to do so.

I usually will give restaurants the benefit of the doubt but when you order a $35 beef filet and it comes out dry and smaller than 5 oz there is something wrong! The worst beef filet I have ever eaten. After bring up my concern before I started eating, the staff said there is nothing they can do! I would recommend STAYING AWAY, there are better options than this place!

Mother's day May 8th, 2016. A reservation for a party of 8 was made and were given a small round table that could barely seat 6. We waited for 45 minutes for an adequate table to come available. There was NO place to wait, they don't even have a foyer. The only place was the bar area that is very small and filled with tables. Now on to the menu items...... My mistake for not checking what they were serving for MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH. The cheapest food that can be served, was served. This in NO WAY was anything that would or could bring me back for the slop. Ham, turkey and gravy mixed together, creamed peas, seven layer salad, costco rolls, shrimp woohoo, bland and tastless prime rib, baked cod covered in some sort of goo to keep it from drying out. Whatever, I was extremely embarrassed to have made a decision to go there with my family. Oh and by the way, we were given coupons for discount on dining during the week. I think that was their way to apologize for the bad experience. Left them on the table......

The prime rib is still the best anywhere in the country, the other menu items are not very good or creative. We were there on Saturday night and the fish special was terrible - any first year cooking school student could have made a better meal. Very disappointed that they took their "Signature" menu items off the very limited new menu.

Food was pretty good. We had the Sunday Brunch and it was all tasty. The weird part were the deserts as it looked as if they had people just bring in desserts. Some of the stuff was homemade but the other were store bought sugar cookies.

The server Linda, was out right rude to my parents on their 61 wedding anniversary. She was actually snotty in her attitude. My fathers ribs were spoiled. He didn't touch them. She never came back to ask if everything was ok. she never brought drinks and people in the party caught her making faces at my parents. This place has gone down hill.It USED To be good. Now mean waitresses spoiled food and high prices. PASS

The owners of this place are incredibly nice. The hotel is very beautiful and every detail is taken care of. We absolutely loved our room. We stayed in the bridal suite Room 201. We had a great experience. Dinner on Saturday night we had the prime rib that was done perfectly. I can't wait to go back again.
Thanks for everything

This hotel must be short handed because the customer service is absolutely terrible. I called to make a reservation and I was rudely told by Joe that he would transfer me to his voicemail because he is in the middle of cooking breakfast. Patrons should not be made to feel like they are inconveniencing you. If you have too much on your plate then send them straight to voicemail and call them when you have more time. Otherwise, take 1 minute to politely write down their information and call them back. I am taking my business elsewhere.

Once upon a time it was great. That time has come and gone. Out dated, mediocre at best food, and a "The customer is always wrong" attitude.
In July 2014 we walked right in on the busiest day of the year in Port Washington - Fish Days. That should have told us something. The decor is old and not welcoming. The kitchen, which we walked past to get to the outdoor seating (which was nice) was dirty in appearance. Our server was very nice but I had a feeling she was not very happy with her job. I later learned the owner isn't very nice so that's probably the reason. The wine selection was abysmal and what we settled on, barely drinkable. The entree arrived in a timely manner and wasn't bad. Not great, but not bad. At this point I would have gave them 2 - 3 stars just because it wasn't the worst experience we've had at a restaurant. Then the check finally came (server disappeared for a long time) we tried to redeem a Living Social coupon with a smart phone, which requires the establishment to have a scanner. They don't. Ok....I get that I guess. But, they made us wait 30 minutes while trying to work it out. We felt like we were trying to buy a used car with the server and hostess coming back and telling us why our deal wouldn't work. The final straw was the owner who's best solution was for us to leave a copy of our drivers license and a credit card number in lieu of us calling back with the voucher number. How insulting! At that point we just wanted out. We had wasted so much time on a beautiful day. I don't know what kind of clientele they are used to dealing with, but it tipped us off to the low brow owner/management. Frankly, I didn't trust leaving them with the info at that point.
Once home we called and spoke with the "night manager" to redeem the voucher code and get a refund on our card. He said he would take care of it. FYI, it's a simple task - redeem the code and they get paid, then credit us on our card. Easy. Well it didn't happen. Days later we called and spoke with the owner, who claimed to not know what we were talking about. However, during the conversation he had specifics of the transaction revealing that he knew exactly who we were and what we were talking about. His attitude was condescending at best and he basically said he would call Living Social to verify that it wasn't a scam. A scam? Really? That's how you talk to your customers?? My thoughts are it really is a scam. But not one perpetrated by us. It left me wondering if they were scamming us to get much needed revenue for a business in obvious decline.
I'm sorry to have to give such a horrible review. We ride up to Port Washington a lot and it would be nice to have the Port Hotel as an option. It isn't

Restaurant hasn't been remodeled since at least the 70s... not the cleanest looking place. Went there for late lunch with Living Social coupon (paid for in advance) and missed that the coupon was for dinner. But we asked for fish fry anyway. When we got home, saw the fish fry we paid for as a lunch was the exact same price as the dinner fish fry that evening. I don't see why when we ordered / paid for the exact entree off lunch menu why our coupon was not honored! Will have to go back to use the coupon (a 30 mile drive) but will order only the minimum to reach the coupon value... we will NOT spend more than necessary if that is why they require it to be for dinner (overpriced menu anyway!)

After dining at the Restaurant many times over the past 20 years our experience on Friday, June 20, 2014 will be our last time. My party was surprised and pleased at the hospitable greeting and the slightly updated dining room. Heavily draped windows now offered a view of Port Washington and the buffet line was very welcoming with it's new appearance. Our waitress was hospitable enough, but the kitchen was already out of one of the most popular Friday night offerings (our reservation was made for 7:30pm) . We were also informed that the menu prices for most items had gone up on June 20. Not sure why we needed to be informed of that. Three in our party ordered the Friday Fish Buffet, one member ordered an alternate fish fry (she had wanted the item already depleted) the other party member ordered cod. Simply put - the buffet was average, with a too heavy chowder and average fare. The peel and eat shrimp, like the fish entree were already finished for the evening and upon a second, closer look at the buffet setting noticed missing candles and extinguished oil lamps making for a 'we are done here' look and feel. The service remained polite, but despite the food disappointment, the reason we will not be returning was the owners wife or manager reprimanding a server or possibly a bus boy about pulling a plug on a warmer and possibly breaking the connection of the plug and cord. And to "never do that again!". Really? With clients still dining? It seemed to be a table that included the chef/owner and family. Bad food can be overlooked with exceptional service and surroundings. Bad manners linger.
