This place has no business being this good. When I got here I thought “okay cool a bar that serves bar food” and didn’t have high expectations. I was shocked with everything. The waitress was wonderful and the food was exceptional. The cheese curds are exactly what you want with that delicious bar ranch dressing (iykyk). Then came the burger, it’s not good because it’s just massive and topped with a bunch of crazy things you don’t even notice, it’s good because it’s simple and melts in your mouth. I cannot recommend this place enough. They also have a great beer list and from what I saw it looked like the bartender could create any complex cocktail you want or just toss you a simple jack and coke.

Stopped by for first time, ordered some cheese curds which were yummy and plentiful. The wife did not want a bun so she requested a wrap replacement and only with sauce on the side. No problem there, and I had the awesome Reuben with brown mustard instead of 1000 island. A great twist. Salty fries and a couple half and half’s made for a great dinner. Bartender and wait staff were fun and responsive to the patrons. A great experience, fun atmosphere and a place to stop by.

This place is AMAZING! I love love love their cheese curds and these ones hit the spot. I flew in from New York City to spend the weekend in Green Lake and popped over to this pub for dinner. I also had their Harvest salad with FRESH salad dressing (that's hard to find in Wisconsin- sorry not sorry lol) super delicious! The owners were so friendly and greeted me with welcome arms. One of them was even from Long Island, NY so that makes me trust this spot even more. I even came back the next morning for their Reggae Brunch. The vibes popped off, so much fun. My friends and I had everything from Bloody Mary's to Aperol Spritz with a fat yummy plate of French toast. GO HERE I WILL BE FLYING BACK IN FOR THIS PLACE!!

The servers were all so happy kind, helpful, and attentive with fantastic attitudes! We went when they were serving Valentine's specials. Two of us had scallops over cauliflower puree with broccolini, one had the tenderloin special, and our fourth guest had the chicken salad wrap (I failed to ask her how that was). My scallop special was delicious! My husband's steak was done to perfection and very tender.
We had a table right by the door on a cold and windy night so when the door opened, a cold draft came in but there was some blower over the door to minimize it and we weren't miserable.

The regular menu has interesting appetizers along with the usual apps, sandwiches, salads, and wraps; some really unique menu options and of course a full bar.

Ripon has had an incredible growth of excellent, must-try restaurants over the past few years. Do NOT overlook The Public House. Best smash burgers I’ve ever had. But the menu has so much more. Something for everyone. Dinners to sandwiches to unbelievable salads. Great bar. Genuinely nice owners who are working every day to make something special. Everybody we have taken there have always become repeat customers. Word of caution: you have to check the specials posted on Facebook. You will be amazed at the variety of very special offerings created by a great chef. Don’t miss the desert specials. You owe this to yourselves.

We live an hour away and wanted to check out Dickens of a Christmas. The Public House was packed and it was a litle chaotic with all of the people, but all of the staff there patient and didn't even seem the slightest bit flustered and still managed to provide great service. Watch the social media pages for always amazing, always interesting specials. On the regular menu the Nashville hot chicken is one of my go-tos. One of the best chicken sandwiches in the area. I also like that they tend to have hard cider on tap. That or Guiness is always a good choice with dinner. Solid burgers, sides are good, and salads if you are looking for something lighter. Nice place, good service. Did not really avail myself of the menu as I was passing through, and felt the need for a cold one. The Pear cider was very good. Tried the pretzel and beer cheese sauce with it. It was huge, and more for two people than one, but I put a dent in it anyway. One of the friendliest bar keeps I've had the pleasure of having spirits from. This clean and quiet establishment was great for some NCAA March Madness while avoiding the college type crowd. We made a random stop at The Public House driving through Ripon and were awesomely impressed. The location is beautiful, with downtown RIpon and the decor and ambience of The Public House taking us back in time. The owner, Brian, was behind the bar and was an outstanding host. He was welcoming and conversational, and even came out to wave us goodbye as we left. And then there's the food - a diverse menu with lots of choices. We enjoyed delicious wings and goat cheese beet salad. The Korean Krack wing flavor is one of the tastiest we've ever had, and the salad was scrumptious. There are also lots of great beer and drink choices - many thanks for the great experience and we will be back.

Today was my first time here and I would definitely recommend the Public House to anyone who wants to dine at an eatery and pub. Amalia S was our waitress; she came across very polite and calm. The appetizer I got was the "Meatball & Ricotta." I have a real question for the Public House: is this dish supposed to be served cold? Don't confuse this with a complaint because it's not. The flavor itself was fantastic and I will probably get it again however, the temperature caught me off guard as the dish was not even remotely warm which lead me to think that the dish is supposed to be served cold.

The menu is adequate and I hope the expand with some more Irish dishes. Our taxes let had a variety of FF items all were good. The Rubens were better than average and the turkey sandwich of the ladies at our table was amazing and HUGE!
A beer list would be nice and having the staff know the 🍺 beers and be able to make recommendations will go a long way to raising this pub to the next level. Irish whiskey should also be on the menu in foods and drink specials
