Service was good. This place seems to be a hot breakfast spot. Unfortunately I didn't order breakfast. I got the gyro. By far the worst gyro I've ever had. Some sort of thick pressed meat stick. They'd be better off going to the gas station down the road and buying the gyro out of the cold case to heat and serve. Having said that, the breakfast plates I saw looked really good. I'll try them out again, but I'll stick with breakfast.

Very nice old fashioned restaurant! Staff waitresses always wait on visitors in a timely fashion . The owner likes to greet his visitors with respect. Food is so good!!! My girlfriend and I went here for the cozy diner experience and walked away with one of the best meals we had ever had

She had their special Apple Chicken Strips with mashed potatoes and fries. She said the chicken was "the best she's ever had" the mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the fries were delicious and fresh

I had the shrimp basket, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese and a cup of potato soup. The soup was delicious, the mashed potatoes were great, the shrimp was perfect.

The service was out of this world, the friendly old man who served us really made me feel like I was visiting my favorite relative to say hello. Sweet as a button that man was. The interior is adorable and I love the cozy feeling.

My only gripe (and it's a very small one) is some music and doors to the kitchen would really make this place a gem cut above the rest

It's the first time i've been into Red apple and over ten years. It changed hands a while ago, but I moved on to the area.
Stopped in there today to have breakfast with an old-time friend.
I was greeted by the regulars sitting at the counter, It was adorable.They told me the menu and the specials and whom my waitress was.It was truly a special moment.
It was quaint and quiet the service was good.
I would highly recommend seeking out this quain little restaurant right on one of the main streets of wausau.

Love the Red Apple, been going there for as long as I can remember. It's definitely a family place for us. Zach, his wife and children and staff are so nice and they make you feel welcomed- very family oriented. My kids love going there and they especially love the pancakes and bacon. I really love their breakfast sandwiches along with every other breakfast option and their coffee!! Everything I've had at the Red Apple has been delicious.

Horrible. Absolutely worst eating experience I've had. Nothing in my order was made properly, my fiance ordered a med rare sirloin and got a well done. I ordered a med ribeye and got a well done sirloin. He ordered over easy eggs and got scrambled, I ordered fried and got over easy, we got 3 boxes of toast and eggs that we didn't even order, we didn't even get the raisin toast we ordered, the boxes were covered in the liquid from the steaks, and when we tried to call the restaurant, their message box was full and in the end we only got a refund on the steaks. Will NOT be eating or ordering from Red Apple again.
