True supper club experience. The service was superior, friendly, good suggestions and attention to detail. Our party of four each had a different entree. All of us raved a out the food. I recommend the French Onion Soup. My prime rib was fantastic, very flavorful. The steak, pork and seafood the others ordered were presented beautifully. Everyone commented on how good their choice was. Defenitely don't miss The Red Ox

We had family come from out of town and we hadn't been at the Red Ox in many years and decided to go .
We were so fortunate to meet Andrew the coolest Waiter EVER !
The 4 of us totally enjoyed his expertise on the menu and his work Ethic was Amazing.
The Entire Dinner was ABSOLUTELY Delicious!

Great food 😋 Highly recommend to get reservations. The bar service was a disappointment, we had a party of 8 and waited for a bartender to serve us, we'll we're still waiting. Our waitress however was just super! We all sat down and ordered drinks and everything went as smooth as could be. The waitress (Krystal?) Was just as nice as a person could be ♥️ She had everyone covered with the food ordered to the drinks ordered 👌 GREAT JOB! It was a great experience and very enjoyable, hope for the same to you 😊

I thought this would be an amazing place to go for my wife’s birthday and it was at first . The meal failed when they offered to Oscar my steak . For those that aren’t familiar with Oscaring something , it’s when they top it with crab meat . Unfortunately , as I could see before they even brought the plate to me , it was imitation crab meat. As a person raised in Maryland that enjoys Blue crab whenever I get the opportunity, I found the imitation crab an insult and a lie. Because honestly, if you’re gonna charge extra for crab meat, it should be crab meat, not some fake substitute. And I haven’t been back since and never planned to go back. I also share this information with everyone I know because why waste your time or your money..

One of my favorite supper clubs in the fox valley. Best muddled old fashioneds around. Food is always good. We love the bbq ribs, jack Daniel’s salmon and pan fried walleye. Huge menu with a variety of options. Staff are all helpful, friendly and attentive.

Visited this restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation and wow this place is great! The food is very good. Pricey but fair for what you get. I had a large piece of salmon, mashed potatoes, salad, and bread and it was $28. Our waitress was also phenomenal and explained the menu to us kindly & clearly, as we were not familiar. Will absolutely come back if I ever re-visit Appleton.

Only time I’ve ever felt the need to leave a review, steaks came out blue rare and cold to the touch, salad was drenched in water. Waitress took my girlfriends soup 5 minutes after for got it while she was eating it for no reason. We were brought the wrong drinks and after we got our food we were left alone for 15 minutes while our cold steaks were left sitting there. We were then asked if we needed boxes? Never checked how it came out and when we brought it up to someone we needed them redone after she brought them back out she left again and they were still bad. Taste wasn’t good. Drinks were awful. Will never ever ever return here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time

A good Wisconsin supper club! We each had steak and it was perfect. We discussed it with our waitress and she got it square with the kitchen--just the way we like it. Great fr onion soup. The service was amazing . Hard to come by these days . A very classy old school super club vibe . Extensive menu with many specials . Getting there and ordering before 5PM would be wise for the pricing is way cheaper with great specials . We had steak and fish. The steak was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly. Also the tenderloin tips with mushrooms and vegetables were above average . Broiled haddock was amazing , very flaky and not overcooked . We would come back again most definitely

We were seated immediately upon arrival. We were there at 4pm. And it sure did not take that place long to fill up over the dinner hour. We ordered a few appetizers for our table and I was sure to save room for dessert. The crab Rangoon‘s were very tasty. The artichoke spinach dip was amazing. The shrimp in the red chili sauce was out of this world!. Amanda was our server and she was very attentive. For dessert I tried the blueberry lemon cake , oh yeah, glad I did.

Called to ask questions about reservations, and the guy on the phone didn't seem like he knew much. Then asked about reservations for 10 people. What i got was "im sorry but at this moment we can't take that reservation, because we have many big tables tonight" i was so confused he than said "i mean we have any big tables reserved for tonight so we can't take you, sorry" the most awkward weird service! I then went on to the website because he didnt tell me any other information about how they do reservations. WoW they have very strict reservation time slots and take out time slots. So, for those questioning, please look on the site for reservations and times for batter explanations. Sad, we didn't get to try this place out.

It was our 56th anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere that offered not only delicious entrees but variety. We were not disappointed. Our food was fresh, tasty, and perfect temperature. Our waitress was amazing and very friendly. My only complaint is the noise level which couldn't be helped by management. The folks were just having a great time.

Without at doubt…. The absolute worst meal we’ve eaten in 5 years. It must be nostalgia that brings people back, because the food is abysmal. Crab cakes tasted like Thanksgiving stuffing with a curdled dip. Fish fry was…. Next level awful. Overcooked haddock in 14 different styles. French fries were exactly like Good Company: Thick and undercooked. I honestly don’t understand why there are so many rave reviews. Definitely won’t be back. And this is from a 24 year resident here.

For the prices I was shocked when a steak the size of a deck of cards was served. I sat there thinking they must be kidding. No salad bar, but they give you a salad. It was good, but I would prefer to get my own, especially when I was still starving after my “steak”. Fiancés salad was basically a big hunk of lettuce he had to chop up himself. He said his catch of the day plate was meh. Not very warm. The waitress was very kind and attentive, she really made the less than impressive atmosphere better. Overall just very underwhelming for a supper club.

Super dissapointing!!!!! Way overpriced!!!! Haddock trio was very underwhelming and NOT worth the price! Appearance and taste was like it had all been made yesterday and reheated.
The twice baked potato was overdone and very dry! I couldn't make it edible even using sour cream! The Chicken Cordon Blu was a joke! Worst my husband ever had! Like a crummy chicken sandwich from a fast food restaurant. He could hardly tell if there was ham or cheese on or in it! Bad!
On the flip side, our server was outstanding! And the ceasar salad was wonderful!
Just too much money and dissapointment to try again. Forsure the worst supperclub meal we've had in years....maybe ever!....and likely the most expensive!

We went with a group for dinner before so at the PAC. I hadn't been here in years after a prior not so great experience. Bartenders and the drinks for great. The French Onion soup was amazing. I was so excited for my tenderloin and lobster. The lobster wasn't bad but very pricey. Steak was tough and flavorless. And I asked for steamed broccoli and it was hard, Not tender at all. We don't plan on being back.

My food (the ribs with the peach BBQ sauce and a twice baked potato and salad) was delicious. But the 3 people who ordered prime rib found it to be done to medium after being told it would be medium rare after they had ordered rare. I'm told the escargot, which is hard to find in the Valley, was very good as were the bacon wrapped scallops. So, all in all, still a fine meal.

Big fan of the menu and drinks! Only thing keeping this back from 5 stars is the venue. Could use some updating in my opinion. A little out dated on the inside (bar good, dinning area update for sure) Price to plate value was extremely good. You get enough food I would be impressed if you could eat it all in one sitting. Drinks are made good, not watered down and a little on the stronger side. Definitely recommend eating here or having a few drinks at the bar. Again I would just remodel the dinning area to a modern theme.

We had prime rib and seafood alfredo. Huge portion of seafood alfredo but also paid quite a bit for it so you get what you pay for. The shrimp was a bit overcooked but overall very good. Side salads and twice baked were very good. We'll be back to try something different.

On a positive note - the food was good. My wife had a prime rib sandwich loaded with quality meat. Didn’t like having to cut my own salad. Prices were fair. Atmosphere was VERY “old school” dinner club (wallpaper falling from the walls with smoke stained ceiling tiles and poor lighting). The place is in desperate need of renovation.

This place is a try 5 star dining experience. The service is exceptional as is the food and drinks. It’s a little pricey but so worth it. We celebrated our 43rd anniversary there. They put us at a secluded table in the back. So nice of them! We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer, and the spicy shrimp and tenderloin with chipotle hollandaise sauce. It was buttery melt in your mouth. Steak does not get better than this!

We treated our children and their spouses on our 50th wedding anniversary. We made reservations for eight. The service was very good, however, I was a little letdown when the menu had no vegetarian options or gluten free choices. We had a nice time, but felt a nice supper club should have had a few vegetarian choices as my daughter is not the only vegetarian in the area. When my daughter in law mentioned gluten free, she was told we should have gone to Mark’s East Side! All in all, the evening was nice, but we definitely will choose elsewhere for our family in the future

It’s always an A+ experience at The Red Ox for us! I’m going to highly recommend their French onion soup as it’s the best soup I’ve ever had in my life. On that note their Cajun seafood Alfredo was the best Alfredo I’ve ever had. It had plenty of scallops, shrimp, and haddock! Overall, you can’t go wrong and you may even have a had time deciding on food since their menu is so extensive, haha.

First time here and it was good. We had a party of 9 and we made reservations two days ahead of time for Friday night. I ordered beef noodle soup which was delicious. I also, ordered broiled scallops and twice baked potato which were good. My husband ordered the prime rib combo with cajun haddock and mashed potatoes. His only complaint was the mashed potatoes needed gravy or something. The bread was delicious with the whipped butter. The absolute best was the desserts! I had a lemon blueberry cake which was so yummy. The service was great and they were able to accommodate our big group. Overall, I would recommend and I would definitely go back.

The food was good but not great. My steak was over cooked. Inordered medium rare and git mediym well. The two inch thick New York Strip at $39 was a disappointment. I rate this place as average and over priced.

My wife and my favorite restaurant in Appleton. The menu selection and variety is second to none. Get the Crab Rangoon appetizer it is 10x better than any Chinese or Asian restaurants version. Never disappointed with a meal.

We received three $20 gift certificates for Red Ox so we decided to try them out for dinner. Before going, we looked at their website, menu and Facebook page. What stood out right away was their numerous unfriendly rules for customers – do this, don’t do that... On top of that were several negative reviews within the past year, but having $60 to spend, we opted to go anyway. Upon arriving at Red Ox, we were greeted with a slew of rules posted on their front door, all unwelcoming to customers. Our food and service were good, no complaints there. When it came time to pay our bill, the hostess came over to tell us we were only allowed to use one gift card for this visit – “it’s posted on the front door!” This obviously isn’t a place we want to visit again so we gave away two of our gift certificates to other tables, paid our bill in cash and left. So much for hospitality these days!

We were seated immediately on a Saturday night around 7:40 which was amazing. Our food was excellent as well, especially the scallops.
The stuffed mushroom caps appetizer is so good, dare I say almost* too much cheese - soo good!

Another hidden gem. Got in just before closing and had the place all to ourselves. Started with some apps. Stuffed mushroom caps, fresh fried mozzarella and BBQ rib bones with bread. Starters were absolutely delicious. Main course for me was the Jurassic Pork with a side of French onion soup. One of the other gents with me had the Chicken Cordon Bleu with a side of shrimp. We decided to split our meals to get a little more variety. Pork chop was ginormous. Fully cooked and tender. I found a tad tad bit of pink but rolled the dice anyway cause it looked cooked well enough to me. Had great flavors and was very filling. So prior to digging in I cut a good piece of the chop and shared with my buddy. He gave me some of his CCB w/ shrimp. I thought I had a pic of the CCB but apparently not. Well served plate. It was even more delicious than the pork chop....there will definitely be a revisit of in the area.

Took my wife to this 4.5 star rated super club for our 31st anniversary. Wednesday night ribs, as they propose to be the best smoked ribs in the valley. If they reached the table hot that would have been a plus. So I had the salad and a twice baked potatoe for $26. By the time the waitress came back my wife was done but she wanted to know if I wanted them to remake them. Umm no my wife is done. Very nice young lady, horrible ribs, ice cold. Will never go back.
