We don't get to go out often - maybe 2x a year. We had a reservation and everything for this past Saturday night. It took 45 min to get our drinks ( it wasn't busy at all) meanwhile our water glasses were empty all night. Food didn't come out for 1.5 hours (after 8pm). Only thing saving the night was the food was delicious. Kind of ruined the vibe of the night that we couldn't even get drinks while we had an extremely long wait for dinner.

I was pretty disappointed by the Charmant restaurant. The service was good, but the food was not great. I had trouble finding an option I was interested in. I ordered a $20 beet salad and swapped the gorgonzola for sheep cheese. There was literally no flavor or any other texture or ingredients in this salad that beet pieces, lettuce and a very small portion of cheese. No other vegetables, nuts or even a discernable dressing. My partner ordered a burger and said it was fine, but nothing really special. The service was good, though. I did also notice that while the restaurant website notes a business casual dress code, there were people in pajamas, hoodies, sportswear, etc. Not the vibe we were really expecting, but certainly not a deal breaker. However, the food was and we wouldnt go back.

The farm scrambled veggies could of been cooked longer, I ordered it with cheese and it didn't have any. Some of the others had the stuffed french toast which they said was good but way to sweet. We did have a big group so the waitress didn't come back like I felt she could have. When she did she was chewing, so she definitely was taking time to eat herself.

The place needs an update and is not a great value for the prices charged. For an upscale establishment, it was disappointing. Our table wobbled badly, The menus are printed on computer paper, and the printer ink must have been low, so they were very hard to read. I had the burger on the brunch menu, and the bun felt like it just came out of the refrigerator and the burger it's self was a bit dry. The waitress was not very attentive as to refills on coffee and. or water. All together, the experience was not worth the 40 dollars for 2 breakfasts.

Recently a group of family members stayed at the Charmant because of an event. At 7:30 a.m. we tried to get reservations for a group of 8 people at 9:45. We were told that we could not be seated until 12:30 because they only had one waiter. This is crazy since the hotel was booked for the weekend (we know it was because we inquired about adding an additional room and were told there were no vacancies). If I could leave a zero star review I would since we received 0 service.

Was throwing a surprise birthday party for my mom, thought the Charmant would’ve been a good place. 1st red flag, minimum spending of 300 dollars? From 10 people? Working as a server myself, most table tops that are 10 do not hit 300 dollars during a dine in experienc, unless you make good money to not care. Due to this rule, I decided to book with the Waterfront, Charmant called back saying they would remove the 300 minimum, so we decided to stay at Charmant. Then I received two texts from Waterfront and Charmant if I wanted to cancel my reservation, press 9.I pressed 9 thinking i cancelled Waterfront, no apparently it canceled the Charmant. So the morning of my mom’s surprise party became stressful and they weren’t very understanding of the mishap let alone didn’t call at all to confirm or ask about the cancellation of the reservation even though I was adamant of coming to Charmant. I cannot express this enough, I was fed up with Charmant at this point because A) I called Charmant Restaurant, always went to voicemail. B) Literally blew up my phone with calls 4-6 times in a row when I was at work, not professional. C) Felt like a cat and mouse to talk to someone who knew what they were talking about. D) most of the FOH workers had an attitude and was not very friendly or professional. E) This business apparently mistreated my family before. I’m extremely grateful for the Waterfront for making my moms birthday party great, but also thank you Charmant for wasting my time while being completely rude to my family. It was such a great experience! Please chose to respect your time and not come here and go to a place that does care!

I wanted to like this restaurant, I really did.

I loved the hotel, enjoyed my stay thoroughly, will come back.
I loved the bar, well tended and well curated.
I hated most everything about this restaurant.

I had two meals here first a dinner on our arrival night, second breakfast the morning after, and after my stay I wouldn't eat either meal again even if the hotel gave me the meals for free with my room.

Dinner actually started off really well the Bone Marrow had a great char on it, Nice smoky flavor - plenty of salt. The only good thing my wife and I ate.

Second course for us was French Onion soup. We both took two bites and looked at each other in pure disappointment. Wildly undersrasoned and completely lacking any flavor of burgundy or herbaceous aroma. Beef water with onions and a nicer cheese on top.

We ended dinner there, before ordering our entrees.

We shouldn't have eaten breakfast, but we were lazy and hotel breakfast is usually a highlight.

My wife ordered the farm scramble which was 'fine but needs salt'

I ordered the Salmon Benedict which came with to me ice cold. Nothing was hot on my plate and my poached egg had sat so long it hardened up into a slightly gooey mass. I ate the very nicely fried potatoes.

Here's the deal with this place....

Kitchen staff were working really hard, they are just being asked to do a menu that is outside of their skill set.

The fault of this lays squarely on the executive chef who was nowhere to be seen during our meal. Nobody checked any of the plates that went off the line at dinner, and the person checking food in the morning stepped away several times, missing our food entirely.

2-stars for not making me sick and for the server at breakfast for being the best thing about this restaurant and never letting my coffee go empty.

We stayed last weekend for a romantic anniversary weekend. The weather was simply arctic, so my guy made reservations downstairs. Upon arrival, it was very clear that management had worked diligently to create a warm, cozy, welcoming vibe. The hostess was upbeat and pleasant. We were seated without issue and almost every table was filled with happy patrons (7pm Saturday evening).

Our waitress was a bubbly college student (Cassie) who had an excellent grasp of the menu and wine list. I drank wine and hubs had absolutely, hands down, the BEST Old Fashioned that he had ever tasted. I don’t care for them, but tasted it. It was FANTASTIC! Tasted soooooo fresh!

We ordered scallops and salmon because we are the type of people who share food. Our food arrived quickly and was perfect. We’re not usually dessert fans, but ordered cheesecake with a dark cherry sauce. A wonderful finale. Highly recommend!!!

ZERO RATING. Stopped in for a late breakfast/brunch. I needed a little cheering up, had just put my dog down that morning. On arrival there was no host to seat me for some time, nor a sign to wait to be seated as usual. Once someone came around I asked if they were still serving, they then seated me. For the next 30 min no one came to take my order tho waitresses gathered near me often and saw me including the host. I finally pulled the host aside and asked if anyone would be waiting on me. We did the rib eye for $51.00 per person , the steak was so dry for it being rare, could not eat it was plastered in seasoning as well (salt) took it home . It was served with 2 potato wedges wich equaled 1/3rd of a potato and thats being generous, we also ordered the baked brie with fruit on top there was less than 1/2 teaspoon of fruit on it ,the brie was over cooked all in all not worth the seventy two dollars spent a peice , they should stick to breakfast something easy.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars it would be too gracious. We brought our family to this restaurant while traveling through the area on vacation and the host refused to seat us. We asked if we could be seated and he said he could not accommodate our group. Thinking it was due to the size of our group we asked if we could be seated at multiple tables and he said he refused to seat any one of our group.
