We had potato skins for an appetizer. They were ok, a lottle overdone. I ordered fajitas. The chicken and veggies were great, the rice was very average. No guacamole or cheese came with them. My spouse ordered italian beef and fries. His was very good. For some reason we were told we had to sit at a picnic table not at a nicer patio table. The hostess said they were expecting several parties but out of the 13 nicer patio tables, only 2 were used while we were there. We felt very unwelcome.

We got there with 13 people , an we were outside by music it was to loud so we asked to go inside we were placed inside, waiter took our drink orders . Came back with drink started handing them out when she got to me an my son drops a whole tray of waters an it spills all over me an my son overly annoyed no employee tried to help no manager came out to apologize nothing. We still tried to enjoy our night we were with family from out of town . We started getting our orders in they started to come out about 15-20 mins later brought a order we did not order for the kids an it had hair in it ,sent it back our original orders started coming out my dad takes a bite of his food pulls out a hair from his mouth after he took a bite from his burger , made my aunt sick he spit out his food was very upset , I’m eating my samon an there looked like pubic hair or beard hair in the spinach we decided we were just got to leave at that point everyone stopped eating cause everyone felt sick . Asked speak to manager an only took the food off that had hair in it when everyone barley ate there food still charged use 200 plus 50$ tip because it was 13 people but horrible service will not recommend an will not be coming back or eating there food ever again an wouldn’t recommend anyone else to go there horrible service horrible

We've tried the Rock several times over the last 3 or 4 years, and come to the conclusion that its just not for us. I had walleye for $27. It was plain with a tasteless flour breading. The potato skins were burnt and tough, and the burgers flat, and mostly lifeless. Although it took us somentime to eat as THERE WERE FLIES EVERYWHERE. The french fries were great, and the service amazing. However between expensive sub par food, the flies, and several tries here, we will be ending our hopes of someplace close to home for a decent dining experience.

I had a fantastic experience at The Rock Bar and Grill! The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. I enjoyed my meal outside with a perfect view of the river — watching the boats go by made it even more relaxing. One special moment was seeing a grandfather and his grandson at the boat parking area, clearly making memories together. It added a heartwarming touch to the whole visit. I really liked The Rock Bar and restaurant! I loved the outdoor seating area. Employees were friendly from when we were greeted, to our waitress to the ladies when at the hostess stand when we left. It is a nice view to sit and have some lunch or dinner and a drink if ya want. I thought the food was good, pretty flavorful. I liked the appetizer we got too. It was a fried pickle with ham and cheese I believe. My drink was mixed well, it tasted really good. I was really relaxed here, I didnt feel rushed. It was kind of a quiet Saturday late lunch. The inside looked really big and clean too. Nicely decorated. I'd come back here for sure. I try to stake out the outdoor seating restaurants. Love to be able to sit by river and eat.

I reached out to The Rock Bar & Grill regarding booking their private room to host my grandma’s 80th birthday party. I didn’t receive a response through the contact form, so on 2/12 I reached out via email asking if 05/04 was open and if I could reserve. They responded that it was available and we worked through the details, specifically calling out that there was no deposit required and confirmed that it was reserved for us.

Yesterday (04/30), I again reached out via email to confirm the details and ensure we were set for this Sunday. I then received a call at 8 pm letting me know that they double booked the room and we no longer get the room. Additionally, EVEN THOUGH WE BOOKED FIRST, the second booking paid for it. I pointed out that I offered to pay a deposit and was told that it is not required.

They then offered to put us outside on the patio in 62 degree weather (which then changed to 55 degrees and raining the Saturday before). Again, for my grandmas 80th..

Now, it’s three days before my grandma’s 80th birthday and we don’t have a venue. I’m so beyond frustrated and don’t understand how The Rock isn’t prioritizing their initial agreements, instead are looking out for the $.

AMAZING PLACE!!! We are from out of town and found this incredible place. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We sat in this cool outside glassed in area overlooking the river. Our server was Mikayla and she was outstanding. Super helpful in telling us about what was good on the menu. The food was great and so was the craft beer. Husband and I stopped in for lunch. Server sat us right away and got our drinks to us quickly. We both got sandwiches- the February special of hot chicken and waffles for me with a side of onion rings, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries for him. Food was great. Great in all areas. It's one of our favorite places in Beloit. They have a really nice upper area available for rent for special events. Prices aren't bad. My only complaint is that some of the longer tables are tacky feeling as the cleaning agent they use on tables has deteriorated the varnish on the tables surface. Replace or cover would be better.
