Great local family run establishment. The service was topnotch. The food portions were more than filling and the flavors were great.

Had the Scottish egg with house made horseradish. The Bog Bird aka slow roasted turkey with cranberries and an amazing spicy peanut soup. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice down to earth drink at the bar or some good ole home cooking in the booth. This husband and wife team truly know what they are doing.

Darts and a few other games in the back as well if you don't want to have a seat.

Thought we would stop in to a friendly Irish pub with great reviews. Walked in, cute atmosphere, hungry and ready to eat.
Walked up to the only table that appeared empty, saw a piece of paper on the table, thought it was a menu, the man behind the bar barked rudely that the table was taken.
We were going to sit at the bar but there was no hello or welcome given by staff and the smell of pot killed our appetite. Will not be back!

All five stars for our annual fishing group! Scotch eggs and car bombs are a must! Owner/ bartender is great his wife cooking is better and its a must stop after a long day on the ice. Was in search of good fish. We found cozy, dimly lit, comfortable bar with an Irish theme. A handful of booths and tables, in which our family of four occupied a booth. Maybe just under a dozen tap beer options. All drink and food orders are placed at the bar. The food option for Friday was only the Walleye and homemade chips. Deliciously sliced potatoes kind of fried to perfection. The spray bottle of malt vinegar at the table is brilliant. Don't expect your food to come out fast, but expect it to be delicious. I went here based on good Google reviews, so continuing the trend. Definitely coming back. Patio out back too.

The pour a right proper pint of Guinness. Decent little pub on the main drag. We stop every time we are heading to Bayfield. Occasional there’s some traditional Irish music. There’s a deck out back with some seating as well. I’ve never eaten there but the food looks delicious. They have some other craft beers on tap but honestly, I always get a Guinness. A few Irish whiskey available as well.

While road tripping on our motorcycles, we planned a stop here specifically to try the Scotch eggs. This place did not disappoint. The food was great! Loved the Scotch egg. Very glad The Snug is open and serving dinner until 9 on a Summer Sunday night. There is so much to fit into a weekend that the restaurants that stop serving at 8 don't fit our schedule. The Snug bartender dealt with a table of five ordering many drinks and dinner with a friendly and expert manner. We had a fantastic time with tasty sandwiches that were just what we were looking for. We'll definitely go back.

Just super, super wonderful ! My late husband of 23 years REAL last name was O'Flynn and his Grandparents came straight from Ireland so I heard many, many great Irish songs and music !
He and they would just love the place !

I had the Roost Beef sandwich and their soup of the day. The beef is flavorful and tender. The soup was well seasoned with perfectly cooked vegetables. The staff was friendly. I have been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. The owners really enjoy what they do and it shows!

There were about six people in the place, I walked in and sat at the bar to ask for a menu. Bartender ignored me for a solid ten minutes, I finally waved and caught the corner of his eye, only to be told the kitchen was "wrapping up" at 7:50pm. I guess a solo female traveler isn't worthy of a beer, or a sandwich to go.

Great service and good food! We stopped in just as they were closing (without knowing they were closing soon) and ordered some dinner to go. They bartender was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long to order. The pub was cozy with lots of Irish decor.

The garlic cheese curds were delicious! We also enjoyed two sandwiches and soup. Great portions for the price. I would definitely stop in again for lunch!

On a Wisconsin road trip and what a delightful place to find for lunch. The Apple Fest was going on up the road in Bayfield and everything was crowed, parking was terrible and long walks to get anywhere, not ideal for two senior citizens. The Snug was sung alright and proved a great lunch and a couple of hard apple ciders.

Snug is definitely the right name, but don't let that scare you away. This quaint irish pub offers the comfort of a warm and engaging atmosphere, complemented by plentiful drink offerings, a tasty food selection and good music to form an all around pleasant place to be. Was exploring the area when I came across The Snug and decided to give it a try after seeing they served food and remembering that I probably needed to eat at some point.

Walk in the door on a Sunday afternoon to find just a couple locals and two employees. Now, I am not a social person and typically just want to blend into a crowd when I'm out by myself so this much more intimate bar setting was not what I was looking for. Problem was, however, I had already entered and turning around to run away would just be MORE awkward, so it was time to just accept it and sit down. I was glad that I did.

Bartender (and I assume his wife/significant other) were both super nice and invited me right in despite my deer-in-headlights look. I was clearly the odd one out but it didn't take long not to feel like it. The other two patrons appeared to be locals but that by no means meant that I felt like I didn't belong. I figured why not double-down and be the only one eating too. I ordered the Bog Bird with a side of chips and both turned out to be wonderful.

Overall this was an unexpected gem and was definitely a highlight of my loaner-getaway weekend; my only regret was not being able to try more of the food so I'll just have to hope I get a chance to come back.
