My husband and I ate dinner here the other night and it was absolutely wonderful! We were staying in the Phelps area, and found something very local! We took the chance and when we got there, we were greeted by the owner, who shook our hands and brought us to our table. He was so nice and personable! Then, we were taken care of by Jackie (don’t know if I spelled her name correct!) she was so wonderful above and beyond. She explained everything very thorough and slowly and helped us with any questions we needed! She never rushed us and she guided us in which direction to order! Which, seems to me you can’t go wrong with what you order there because our food was TO DIE FOR and everyone else’s around us, looked equally as good! My husband and I ordered steak, and we were able to customize it any way we wanted! Which was so fun and made it so delicious! They also had a couple different specials going on and I wanted them all!! You also get a soup AND salad bar with your entree! Yum!!! Our experience was so great and we can’t wait to come to the north woods again to eat here! Also, when you go there, ask for Jackie! She was again, the best. So kind, nice, and helpful! She asked us many times what we thought of the food and if we needed anything else. I don’t think you could go wrong with and of the staff there though! They all seemed great! We waited 30 min for the waitress to ask what we wanted to drink. We already knew what food we wanted to order, but she said she’d come back later for our food order. We understand that there are shortages of staff up here.

Once we ordered our food (two fried shrimp baskets, one steak sandwich), we wait an hour and 35 minutes for the food to come out. The food was good.

Our water glasses (all three) were very dirty. We asked for replacements. The replacements were just as dirty. Two of us got the soup/salad bar add-on. Our spoons were so dirty (the ones we grabbed from the soup bar), that we both hand washed them at the table.

I won’t return. If the wait is going to be pushing two hours for two appetizers and a sandwich, it would have been nice to have been warned that food was behind.

The dirty dishes made us opt for fried appetizers/sandwiches as we were afraid to order anything riskier like seafood or meat.

This place needs 6 stars! Hidden gem in the Northwoods, a Supper Club that hits 6 star across the board. Atmosphere upon coming in was welcoming, warm and matched the service and food quality. Timing and personal attention were over the top . I search for Lake Perch and this place did not let me down, the perfect fish fry. What a nice surprise the Twilight was. Arrived early and enjoyed a drink and great music on the patio (Karl Sky). The salad bar was fresh with two delicious soups, esp the Beef Curry. So good! First time with the new owners. We've been through several owners at this site; Mary, Big Rob when it was the Loose Moose, and back to the Tia Juana days, and enjoyed them all. Enjoyed the outdoor bar and entertainment while waiting for a table. Pager system was great for notifying us when ready. Greeted warmly by Jeff the owner and our server was friendly, efficient. Quite surprised food came out with both of our plates (including sweet potato, cinnamon butter, lemon wedge), heavily dusted with parsley.This after a steak was specifically ordered with absolutely nothing on it. After we spent several minutes scraping and picking the "garnish" from our food, it was good, steak not great quality for price. I complimented the owner on changes and warmth of greeting on the way out. When I showed him a photo of my plate as delivered, he became quite defensive, explaining garnish to me as if I had never seen or heard of it. If your food is good you shouldn't need to pretty up your plate to that degree.Parsley does not impart a pleasant flavor to your food. If a customer addresses a concern with you politely after complimenting you, they want you to do well. Listen and acknowledge because so many won't bother saying anything and just won't come back.

Warm bacon dressing and many others! Most expansive salad and soup bar I’ve ever seen. Fast seating, workers all very friendly and enthusiastic. Owner talked to everyone and helped everywhere. Got seated as soon as we walked in, we had reservations, server was very friendly, got our drink order, took at least 15 to get those, ordered our food, took an hour to get it, people who came in after us got served before us… meal one, almond crusted walleye, very tasty, meal two, prime rib, so tough couldn’t eat it, sent it back, got a new piece when the rest of us were done, was a better cut of meat, took it home, meal three, was a filet, it was just ok, not a lot of flavor, I won’t compare it to other places but I won’t get it again, meal four, ribs and shrimp, was ok, all our meals where not hot, nothing was hot, like it sat in the kitchen for ever. So will we go back, we live here, maybe in the winter when it’s not so busy, but that’s not a for sure thing.

New owner was very personable and friendly. He did a great job managing a busy Saturday night on Memorial Day weekend. The drinks had generous pours so we always make sure to stop by. We visited again the Thursday night before Fourth of July and sat outside to listen to a very entertaining one man band. Bring lawn chairs because the seating can get limited outside and you can only order appetizers. I gave only 3 stars for the food category because we paid $14 and got 4 duck wontons. At Sweetwater Resort in Eagle River, you get 7-8 wontons for $11.

We were warmly greeted upon arrival by the new owner, Jeff. He introduced himself and explained some of the new changes. Kat, our server, provided exceptional service. The salad bar has been improved. I ordered a Twilight Cosmo. It was delicious. My husband ordered a margarita on the rocks. Skip this one. It's made from a mix with poor quality tequila. (I took a sip and agreed with him; I wouldn't drink it either. The only negative is we were still charged for the bad drink.) We had bacon-wrapped scallops for an appetizer. There were three huge scallops on the plate and they were very good. I ordered the pork medallions. They were excellent! The baked potatoes were huge and baked to perfection. My husband ordered the rib combo which included a half-rack of ribs and Henny Penny chicken. He said the ribs were tender and juicy and the chicken was great! We will definitely frequent The Twilight often!

Our first visit to The Twilight Supper Club won’t be our last. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was great. Our server, Kat, made our time fun. It’s rare to be so very welcomed like we were here. My husbands filet mignon was one of the best he’s ever had and that’s saying a lot (he loves steak). We both agreed the salad bar was much improved with our favorites: herring and red wine cheese dip! I had the fish fry, and it was so delicious! One of the best evenings. Started at the bar with drinks and stimulating conversation with Shannon. (Ice cold beer - best in the Northwoods) Mary had our table ready and we enjoyed a trip to the fresh & tasty salad bar complete with herring, spinach & hot bacon dressing, and all the favorite fixings. Our table sampled the shrimp scampi ravioli, Lake perch, shrimp fettuccine, and grilled chicken fettuccine - all were excellent as was our server. The food and service were good but there was the smell of a rotting mouse carcass somewhere in the wall near our table. The same smell was in the area of the hostess desk. I have worked in many older building before and easily recognized this odor. It really made me question the cleanliness of the restaurant. Would definitely pass on eating here again. Servers were nice, and did a good job. My chicken sandwich was gross, tasted like plastic, but others in our large group liked their food.

They were also unexpectedly out of a lot of food, because of the busy holiday weekend. Best part was the S'mores for the kids, but would have been nice if everyone got one.

My wife and I went on a Saturday night, I did call ahead of time to make a reservation and we were seated promptly, however they gave us a really rough booth that had tape across the seat where it kept sticking to my pants. Might I add, when we arrived, there were plenty of other seats available so there's no excuse for that. Then the server came over to tell us they had no burgers and no fish. What bothered me is they could have told me that over the phone. My wife doesn't eat a lot of meat so we were really counting on the fish. The salad bar was subpar in quality for the price. It was literally just salad, no potato salads, coleslaw or anything of the sort. Pretty plain to be charging $14 for some leaves and dressing. My prime rib was NOT what I was expecting. Half of the cut was fat so I feel like half of my meal was thrown in the garbage. This is not a place I will be returning to. I enjoy a good meal and good service. This place didn't really offer either. Very disappointed after spending over $80 for 2 people.

First time here; came for the famous old fashioneds while on a little U.P. getaway! The food and service were incredible - loved our super sweet and attentive server! We got the steaks, old fashioned, salad bar, and grasshopper for dessert. The salad bar had at least 20 items and was top notch. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The old fashioned came in a HUGE goblet and was still just a couple dollars; wow! Giving the atmosphere 4 stars because their dining room needed some light music or something, as we spent most of our (early) dinner in the big dining room alone with a group of two ladies less than a foot away from us and had to hear their whole conversation without any ambiance noise. We got a kick out of their abundance of Halloween decorations - cute! 10/10 recommend - we’ll be back.

We have never been disappointed here. We usually go with a small group (6). This time we had 4 adults and 2 grandkids (4&9). The service was very efficient, friendly and swift. We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday and the parking lot was pretty full. However, upon entering we were first greeted by the bartender and then the hostess. The atmosphere is appropriate, as it is has the feel of an 80's up north supper club.

The service continued to be excellent, as even though our waiter was covering quite a few tables, he was very inviting and pleasant. The food was really delicious. I had the lake perch, which had a light coating and may be the best that I have had at a restaurant. My wife had the stuffed hand breaded shrimp which were also excellent. Everything that we had was excellent and this was a great experience to start our mini-vacation.

Highly recommend.

Note: only downsides ... they had run out of clam chowder and the font of Twilight is a bit challenging to read when driving. However, pay attention, as it is definitely worth the stop.

Classic North Woods super club. Best prime rib I've had on Saturday night. I need to try something else sometime though. It is pricey at $39 but is excellent. Good salad bar, although they do limit you to one trip, which for 39 bucks is unfortunate. Wife usually has either fish or a pasta as she doesn't like prime rib, says they are quite good.

Only other complaint is that they tend to bring the food so quick that you don't get to enjoy your salad bar. Overall one of my favorite places in the area.

Of our four entrees, all were very...fair. pricey $42 steak was disappointing. The Alfredo needed salt or seasoning. Perch was good, not great. All thought the salad bar was good. Think we will look for other places before going back.

We went for the Friday Fish Fry, and the food was delicious! We both got the cod, which included 3 pieces with cole slaw, rye bread, and fries. The cost was $14. We upgraded to baked potatoes for $3 each. We could have done some other upgrades, including salad bar, but we chose an Old Fashion and a frozen Margherita, instead! Great atmosphere. Good service!! Can't wait to go back!

Mary and her crew always do their best to make every guest’s experience a good one. I’ve been here many times, busy and slow. Everyone brings their A game effort regardless of how busy and always with a smile and a “thank you” at the end of the night. The Twilight is a supper club treasure! My favorite north woods old fashioned supper club. The bartenders are highly skilled seasoned veterans making some of the finest concoctions. This time we tried the “Caramel Apple Martini” WOW! The apple was sour but balanced perfectly with the caramel drizzled along the rim of the glass what an amazing experience. Worth the trip for the mixed drinks alone.

The meals this time, I tried the typical fish fry $14 while my wife the Perch platter $20 with a trip to the salad bar. Both were excellent as always!

Here was my experience here at the twilight supper club this evening: we arrived at 6:40 and got told there was an hour wait. That's fine, so we waited. Over the course of the next 2 hours, various guests came and complained to the hostess that it was taking long and she rewarded their childish behavior by allowing them to cut us in line and get tables earlier than us. We know this for a fact because the hostess told us (for some reason). When it was finally our turn to be seated at 8:40, we were told that there was no prime beef, no ribs, no soup, no sirloins, and no shrimp. Couldn't someone have told us this earlier in this miserable process? If today is the prime beef special day, maybe put a sign out when it sells out? Or if half of your entree menu is not available, inform the guests who are 1hr deep into their wait time? Basic human relations: respect people's time, and don't reward bad behaviors.

Great staff, amazing amazing Brandy Old Fashions (a little strong but that wasn’t a bad thing lol)

I got the Henney Penny chicken with potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. It was all great great and tasty food. Chicken was moist but still deep fried and the other sides were the perfect pairing.

My partner got the 6oz filet mignon with a baked potato. They said it was really really good. One nice part about the steak was that it was served with a side of au jus, very nice little touch.

For dessert we got a plain homemade cheesecake along with a grasshopper. The grasshopper was very minty which I appreciated (means more booze in it!) and the cheesecake plain was enough to stand alone on its own without any additions.

Highly recommend coming here. Twilight is your classic north woods supper club and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Very friendly staff and shoutout to the bartender that premuddles his Old Fashions so he can keep serving other patrons, that is a pro Wisconsin move if I’ve ever seen one hahaha
