Terrible food, they were out of everything. The only female bartender was rude! She couldn't put her phone down long enough to give service. Went to cash out on our drinks. She couldn't stop her personal phone call long enough to do that. Checked my bank that night to find out She decided to give herself a $7.50 tip!! Call the number and the line is constantly busy. Would not recommend going there at all! Terrible place and people.

I would like to give this place “no star” My husband and I stopped here to get a drink as we were biking on the Mariner Bike trail and we were thirsty. We bike with our two dogs in a cart. I glanced around and saw a outside table with a cat sitting with people, so assumed it was ok to have our two dogs on the patio. I got us drinks and out of the blue comes this security man with the angriest face yelling at me for having dogs on the patio. So we stepped off the patio and he yelled “no drinks off the patio!” Since we were not going to leave our dogs alone, I took my drinks back to the bar and got my money back. I kept my diet coke and headed back to my bike when Mr. Angry ran up to me and yelled “no drinks off the patio”. I said it is diet coke, and suddenly he lunged at me and knocked the diet coke out of my hand and yelled “no drinks off the patio”. I was dumbfounded. We left and I will never set foot in that place again!

We are in town for a night and we’re so excited to come visit this place. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Bushwacker. The woman bartender was so rude (apparently we ordered the wrong drinks, who knew?) She lacked professionalism and personality, when she gave my husband the bill she tossed the pen at him,. Needless to say we were bummed. It looks like such a cool place . We decided against eating there and left. Thank God for the Fat Seagull down the road. They know how to treat a guest.

There is no table side service here. You order your food at the window by the stage and you order your drinks at the bar, like a festival venu. I had the salmon tacos which we terrible. They use smoked salmon which is served cold and extremely salty. They sprinkle a pinch of onion ant tomatoes the drizzle a dill sauce over a single flour tortilla. Not worth $6.00 a taco! Give me some fresh fish for that price. The cheese curds were like chewing fried rubber balls. We had to bus our own table. I asked the bartender what pilsners they had in stock. She said they have no pilsners! WHAT?? there was Miller, bud etc right in front of you! Train your staff before giving them a bartending license!
For the price, treat yourself somewhere worthy, not here.

We stopped for quick lunch by the water. The view was great, but it took 45 minutes to get an order of nachos and cheese curds. It was not busy at all. The only thing I can recommend is the view.

The food is a bit pricey but the atmosphere is relaxing and right on the water. For us, it got excessively loud (we could hear it over 1 mile away once we left) with the live band but if that's your thing, this is the place.

The Wharf came highly recommended and for good reason. The food was delicious and the view absolutely stunning. You go to the kitchen window to order food and the bar to order drinks. We had the perch tacos and the Bee-sting pizza. Both were the perfect balance of savory and a little kick. They have live music most of the time with a large outdoor seating area. Definitely recommend!

Literally was so excited to go to the Wharf for the ambience and food. Worst nachos I ever had in my entire life. Gas station nachos were better than the garbage they served me. The only good thing about the place was the live entertainment. Servers looked mad, sad and not friendly at all. If I could leave a negative star I would. Save your money and go to the Fat Seagall. Ask for JP or Tara. They rock!!

the best part of this place was the live music. service was horrible. 4 bartenders on and none of them knew what was going on. food was so bad I made comments about being scared of getting food poisoning the next day. for the price you pay for food and drinks it really should be a better experience. went to cash out and nobody even knew if we had a tab or not. ridiculous customer service and even worse food. go up to the fat seagull a block over for a better experience and edible food

The Wharf is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Manitowoc. The food is amazing—their cauliflower crusted pizza is seriously to die for (gluten-free or not, it’s just that good). And if you’re into apps with a little kick, the Firecracker Shrimp is a must—crispy, flavorful, and that combo of firecracker aioli and Thai chili sauce is pure magic.
They’ve got live music and events going on all the time, which just adds to the whole vibe. The location is unbeatable—right next to the farmers market and along the Manitowoc River. We’ve kayaked the river and docked our yaks to stop in for a bite, and we’ve even pulled up by boat a few times to grab food, a drink, and catch some live music. It’s such a fun experience.
The outdoor patio is one of the best parts—it’s covered, so you can still enjoy being outside even if the weather’s not perfect. The atmosphere is laid-back but lively, and the team there always makes you feel welcome. Huge shoutout to Brennan for building such a great space and to Beau behind the bar—always keeping the energy right.
If you’re looking for good food, good drinks, and a seriously fun place to hang, The Wharf nails it every time.

We went around lunch when it wasn't busy. A great location with delicious food. Lots of bees, however. I would suggest covered trash cans to help with that somewhat. Also, the sight of hundreds of bees being trapped and drowned in margarita mix is a sight some customers may dislike.

Wow, what a fun place. The atmosphere and view were excellent. The bartender was nice and the drinks were great. Now on to the food. Wow!! Upscale bar food, done excellently. Hand breaded on all the apps we tried, that was apparent, even the mini corn dogs. The shrimp on the tacos was cooked PERFECT, not rubbery at all. The bar opens earlier than the kitchen which wasn’t apparent, but worth the wait.

Leaving some feedback, we actually were unable to eat here. My father said it was delicious and we came for lunch but there were so very many bees that we ended up leaving to go somewhere indoors. I came all the way from Texas to enjoy your place but you forgot to tell GOOGLE that you are closed for a private party?? I ordered a perch lunch that was supposed to include cole slaw and bread with the fish and fries. When my husband went to pick up my order there was no cole slaw or bread in my basket. I had to go back to the counter and ask for it. I also had to ask for butter on my bread because they do not give you buttered bread. I felt the price, $18, was quite high for only receiving one piece of perch. The service was poor and the girl at the counter was rather rude when I went back to get the parts of my meal they did not originally give me.

First time visiting wont be going back . We were told 45 minutes took well over an hour. When i went to window to ask for an update . The cooks behind the window couldn’t have been any ruder .( with a simple question, talk about pissing off the cooks before you get your food ).I suppose if they would have made the orders correctly in the first place for us and several customers ahead of us. The wait times would’ve been a lot less. Over an hour food was barely edible.

Beautiful location on the water. Lots of seating, and an open atmosphere that's great on a sunny day.
If you want drinks and music, this looks like an awesome place. If you want a sit down dining experience, I don't recommend it.
Couple of things of note... There is no table service. All food orders are done at a window, and you get a pager for when your food is ready. Then drinks have to be ordered at the bar separately. This makes for a good place to gather and have drinks, but food is definitely not the focus.
As far as food goes, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't memorable at all either l.
Fairly bland, actually. I got the perch and my wife got the Cuban. Expect to pay $20 for a sandwich and fries, which is fine if it's awesome, but too much when it's not. This was too much. Since I was in the mood for seafood, we also got calamari, and $16 for what we got was too much.
Maybe because it is by the water and the museum they charge tourist prices, but I know of better food available for much less.
Drinks were reasonable, and the staff was friendly in providing what limited service they do provide.

Interesting restaurant and pub with a view of the river. Maybe the music is a bit too loud during the day but this is the type of restaurant so it has to be that way. The food /fast food/ is even ok. Overpriced for what you get. At 13.50 The grilled chicken wrap had probably 2oz of chicken on the whole wrap. No service to speak of. Walk to a window for your order. No napkins. No utensils. 2 stars because the service is terrible. The bartender we met today was incredibly rude and seemed to have no knowledge of how the establishment runs. She was unable to answer me when we inquired about when the outside bar opened (which is the ONLY place they have beer on draft). She was also dismissive and unnecessarily sarcastic. We weren't checked on regularly during our time in the dome. We were hoping for more refills. Otherwise, everything was very nice-- great to have music. Delicious drinks. The dip platter was good-- a little too much salt, so which there was something lighter to help even the taste of everthing. It would also have been nice to have plates with this shareable item...

We relaxed, and chatted and enjoyed every minute of the time we were in the Dome. We had no agenda, no phone calls, and other than photos, we were not interrupted by others, or phones. The weather was perfect as was the staff, the beverages and the food

Well we weren't offered paper plates for our appetizers or napkins she was very slow. We got up and helped ourselves to the pile of plates and napkins that were on the bar. And there was only four other people in the bar and one group of people out in the dome. Not sure of her knowledge. Food was o. K.

When I saw this restaurant from the museum across the river, it looked to be a nice little place that ought to have a nice fish and chips platter. But, I was very disappointed when I saw that it was not a seafood joint, but just another lousy bar. I would expect a place called “The WHARF” would have a decent selection of seafood. No whitefish? No cod? That’s one big missed opportunity in my opinion.
That being said, I was expecting a lousy bar to have lousy bar food. However, to my surprise, the food was actually very pleasant. The homemade chips were very good, super crunchy and flavorful. The fries were also decent but did have the taste of old oil, almost a carnival food type of flavor. The mushroom and Swiss burger I ordered was overall enjoyable, the toasted bun was tasty and the cheese was melty. The burger itself wasn’t the biggest or juiciest and was far from the best burger I’d ever had but it was also far from the worst.
In conclusion, the food was surprisingly appetizing and something I might recommend, especially the chips, but the place has a deceivingly oceanic theme that I believe should be reflected in the food. It’s a restaurant with a lost identity.
I would recommend getting rid of the oversized bar in the middle and adding more tables, making the place largely a seafood oriented sit-down restaurant experience that happens to have a bar, rather than a bar that happens to have a couple of stereotypical bar food menu options.

Great atmosphere!!! Looks like it'd be super fun in the summer, while outside. We were there for the cheese curd crawl and spent almost 2 HOURS waiting for our food...took about 20 minutes just for our drinks. And not one other table had food, so we were SO confused!! The waitress even forgot to put in part of the order. Super nice lady, but that alone - we will not be back! Much better service elsewhere. We had 6 restaurants to go to for the crawl and decided to eat at the slowest one, of course!! Wasted so much time here. Plus the food was greasy and gross 😝 do NOT recommend eating here.
