I usually stick to one or two go-to drinks because most places are hit or miss. Here it is the exact opposite. Everything is amazing! I can never choose, so I don’t. When Logan is behind the bar, I let him surprise me with something new every time, and every drink has been incredible. The owner, Dan, is also fantastic. He is genuinely passionate about his craft and creating a great experience. Definitely support this local spot and treat yourself to some amazing drinks!

My husband and I got married at Timekeeper. We rented out the whole distillery for our big day and had our ceremony on the patio. Everyone loved the space, and were very excited to see a train go by during dinner. Dan and Kimm were great to work with, and all the staff were wonderful. Our guests raved about the drinks, particularly the Old Fashioned and Bee's Knees, and the food. It was such a special and memorable space, and made for an awesome party!

I went to see the train station and with friends who like liquor. I'm strictly a beer guy. They had some good beer on tap. Also tried some of their mixed drinks that are friends had. Our friends liked it a lot. I enjoyed trying some of the different drinks they had. The reason I'm writing this though is the owner Dan is just super nice. A very nice guy to visit with and learn about his business. Had some great beer and my friends enjoyed his drink creations. Will go back for sure.

Ridiculously small quantities of alcohol on the 4 glass flight. Across 4 tumblers, it appeared to equal 1 shot (45ml) in TOTAL. 1. Very dissapointing. It was like a taste test strictly. Out of anywhere I've been this was by far, the smallest quantity. $10 + $2 tip. You want people to stick around, and say good things about their experience, not feel hustled.

Nice small place. Great historic train station building. Beautifully re purposed. Active train tracks located on the back side of the building. The food was great. The drinks were beautiful. We tested the local spirts with two flights. Very flavorful. We were partial to the seasoned bourbon, vodka, and gin. The staff are amazing. Very intune with their customers.
Sad we couldn't do a tour of the distillery. Also very disappointed the staff were not more knowledgeable about the process. Although she was familiar. We just would have loved to see more.
Suggest adding an option for when tours are available to Google Maps information.

Hidden gem in Wausau. The drinks are made from a level of scratch that no one in the area can compare with. I’m honestly disappointed with our visit to Timekeeper. We came as a group very excited to check out this establishment as we have never been before. The atmosphere is nice, the building gorgeous. The customer service was terrible. We came in as a party, there were only two couples in the place when we came in. It took the bartender a wannabe Rollie Fingers almost ten minutes to come and take our drink order, or to even greet us as a matter of fact. Once he took some of our drink orders he was very short with the other people in our party that were still deciding. We honestly felt very unwelcome. Some of the drinks were great, others our party weren’t satisfied with at all. Due to the lack of customer service we ended up leaving and going to a different establishment. I really hope you can find a bartender with better customer service as your establishment is really a gorgeous place!

We loved everything about Timekeepers! The outside seating was very appropriate to a distillery. We sat outside on tables made out of barrels. The bartenders were very attentive and the drinks were very tasty. We bought a bottle of rye whisky and shared it with friends and family at home who all raved about the taste. I first heard of Timekeeper Distillery from the radio stations' half priced deals (I missed the deal as it sold out in record time).

Anyway I read the menu and saw the "Weaponized Sarcasm" which really piqued my interest. So I stopped by after work to try it. I must say that is a perfect summer cocktail. I would order it by the pitcher if I could afford it.

Also tried the Chi Chi. It was good, but having it after the Weaponized Sarcasm made it pale in comparison. Still tasty.

I'll be back to try the food, and probably a double Sarcasm.

Dan and his wife - the owners - recently helped me host a surprise birthday party for my husband at Timekeeper. They were SO accommodating with all my requests and gave me exactly what I was hoping for and more! A bit over a year ago they did a promotion for a "drink passport" where you go to participating bars and get a drink featuring timekeepers alcohol and if you completed it, you would get a bottle of vodka. We did the passport, and covid hit around the same time. We went to timekeepers drive thru and asked if we could still redeem it. The lady said they unfortunately couldn't (which is totally understandable, and I get it) but before we could leave a gentleman shuffled out of the side door and started screaming at us in a fury for asking during covid because they weren't making as much money (which once again, I understand, but a simple "I'm sorry but we can't" would have sufficed)

We went on a mtb trip, drove almost 2 hours and we were starving. Can not have one server for 20+ people on a Sunday. People sitting outside were getting very impatient. Food was over cooked I'm sure do to the lack of staff. This was our first time there and won't be back but It is a nice looking place and our only drink we got was good just poor staffing. We usually get apparel to help advertise all the breweries we hit but by the time we got cashed out it was later than expected and had a long drive home still.

I really wanted to like this place, and I feel like it's probably an issue with management that causes this place to lose 2 stars from me.

Pros: The drinks are tasty, the flatbread decent.

Cons: The service. We visited at 6pm on a Wednesday. There was a single bartender/server. About 15 other people were seated when we got sat. We eventually ordered our two cocktails and flatbread ($20 on Thursdays). It took 30 minutes for the cocktails to be made, the flatbread came out rather quickly, about 10 minutes. Finally, we waited another 30 minutes after being served our drinks to even SEE the server again, then another 15 before she came close enough to talk to and be able to close out.

Again, the reviews were very promising, and the cocktails were NOT disappointing. Seems like they need more servers, and better service.

Also, after we finally closed out, 4 other people (two separate tables) walked out after having not been seen by or served by the waitress for over 15 minutes.

We had a great time here on new year's eve! They had great drinks and great food! We tried the Manhattan, Wisconsin old fashioned, bees knees, fuzzy lumpkin, and the weaponized sarcasm. They were all great, but the Manhattan was by far my favourite! The cherry garnish was like no cherry I've ever had. It was mouth wateringly delicious!

Hors d'oeuvres were tacos provided by la taqueria, who make the best tacos in town.

We also tried one of the wood fired pizza's, and that was awesome too.

I can't wait to go back, and try some more great things!

Honestly I was VERY dissapointed. Their quality of product was bottom shelf, nothing was refined. In a mix drink it was OK. The Gin was the best. I think they would do better if they worked on their product and dropped the price by a dollar or 2. Their cheese plate was impressive- that's not why we came (There was also only 2 things on the menu for snacks--the other flat bread). Overall unless they develop a better product we would not go back.

Group ordered drinks. The drinks arrived at different times between 15 Min and 1/2 hour. Some people had finished their drinks before others drinks came. Establishment was about 50 % full. I wonder what it would be like on a busy night. We ended up leaving and going to a different place.
