I got one of the top 10 filets I have ever had here- and I eat at a lot of great places. Maybe it was just the combo of a perfect cut and proper preparation, but it was truly excellent in texture and flavor. We also got the bacon slabs which were notable, and a number of sides. I got the crème brûlée for dessert but it was overshadowed by the carrot cake that others got, which was top notch. From a budgeting standpoint we had a great meal, plenty of food and some drinks and paid about $100 per person total. In my case, I’d say it was worth it. A hidden gem.

Ordered the rib cap from Braden . Not even a question best steak I’ve ever consumed, second place is miles away. Don’t have a photo because I eliminated it

This is a very unique and charming restaurant. The rooms are all named ie St. Andrews and Queen Elizabeth I. The chairs and booths are tartan fabric. The food and drinks were fabulous. I had the lobster tail, which was tender and sweet. My husband had the Coulette Wagyu and it was cooked to perfection. We had a great experience.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and they did not disappoint. The food was done to perfection and the service and atmosphere were all that we expected. If you’re looking to have a night out and be herded through like cattle then this isn’t the place for you. If you want a quaint dinner with excellent service then by all means stop by.

My experience on Monday was so good, I repeated it on Thursday! The service is excellent -- the food, magical; the cocktails mixed perfectly. Steak on Monday, pork chop on Thursday. Goat cheese curds both days -- a must have if you've never tried them.

Great atmosphere, and service. The food was good but not "The Best I've ever Had". I had an omelet with fried potatoes. There was a smoke flavor in the omelette I wasn't a fan of. Other than that everything was great! My daughter and son lived there food. One had a cheeseburger and the other a chicken sandwich

First thought pulling in realizing it's in a country club... Gunna be hard to find parking or hard to locate a host.
Plenty of parking, walk in instantly greeted.
Every staff member we spoke were very polite and cheerful.
Our waitress explained the menu very well.
We ordered waygu steak, filet, and au gratin potatoes.
Steaks could be cut with a butter knife.
Potatoes were exactly like mom's homemade mac and cheese with potatoes instead of noodles.
The presentation of food was very pleasing to our eyes.
Definitely will be back. The steak is easily in our top 5. Close to Smith and wollenskis in Chicago.

Excellent place to buy gift cards. TJ Highlands does an exceptional job of tracking individual cards, thus instilling confidence in the process. Further, who doesn't want to receive a gift card from the best restaurant in town!?

Although known as a dinner restaurant, lunch is also an excellent time to visit. The restaurant was quiet, and the menu was more limited, but that's exactly what we were looking for on a 1pm seating.

Love the atmosphere, the food is solid but not 4 or 5 star. For example you pay 18$for cheese of curds but you mostly get fried breading as the cheese has fallen all out. The staff are great, Ken is good and regis too!

Easter brunch 2pm slot was subpar. All the food was not fresh, could tell potatoes and charcuterie had been sitting out for some time. Being the last slot I understand clean up, but being told that there was a last call after 1 hour of a two hour slot seemed rushed

Food is good - nice variety of steaks, seafood, and the salads are really good. Service and cocktails are pretty decent too.

Low marks and only one star for atmosphere - dined with a friend who made a reservation for a party of two. There was only one other two-person group seated, and then a large party of ten in the back of the restaurant. We were seated directly next to the party of ten, and even politely requested a different table as the restaurant was virtually wide-open, but the hostess stated the "other tables all had prior reservations". My friend and I enjoyed our dinner, and by the time we left, there were only two additional tables that had been seated, with virtually all of the restaurant still open. Disappointing that we were forced to sit right next to a large party instead of another location.

The atmosphere and service were great, but $160 for 2 people without beverages is on the high side. I had the dry aged New York strip, which didn't have a ton of flavor for being aged for 40 days. The lobster creamed corn was fantastic, but I am not going out to dinner for a side. The main course should be the highlight. My wife really liked the beef wellington, so great job there. Overall, I would say there are better places to eat in Oshkosh, especially for the value and of you venture a bit further you will find better food for the same amount of money.

We visited for the first time to celebrate my dad's birthday and had an incredible experience. The atmosphere and décor were fantastic, with comfortable chairs that created a cozy, home-like vibe, especially with the warm lighting. The fireplaces added a perfect touch, especially with the snow falling outside. Our server, Amber, was amazing—she gave great recommendations and thoroughly described the dishes for us. We appreciated the a la carte style, which allowed us to mix and match sides in generous shareable portions for 2-3 people. Everything came out all at once, which was a nice change from the typical experience of dishes arriving one by one. The food was exceptional—beautifully plated, fresh, and delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, perfect for special occasions. While it’s on the pricier side for an average meal, it was absolutely worth every penny.

Once again I have had a bad experience with a TJ’s restaurant. We ate at TJ Highland House last year for restaurant week and it was excellent. This year it was terrible. I had the Chinese sticky pork ribs and the “Wagyu” skirt steak. Two of my ribs wer OK but the third was a dried up end piece that was tougher than jerky. The Wagyu main course was inedible. We were not given a choice of how well done “because the steak is too thin for that” according to our waitress. Mine was rare and it was so tough that I literally could chew it long enough to swallow even a small piece. I even had trouble cutting through it with a steak knife. My wife had the Whitefish served on mashed potatoes. Her fish was over cooked and dry. Not a very good showing for the one week a year you get to show something special. I have had good meals here but the last few have been very disappointing. TJ’s restaurants are very inconsistent and it is not worth the risk anymore.

First visit. Wife's birthday gift from her folks. They have a great wine selection. The bartenders know how to make a great bourbon old-fashioned. We went early and had the perfect atmosphere. We had the Christmas Eve prime rib bundle take out, and it was fabulous! It was supposed to feed 4, but it fed 5 with leftovers to spare. The chef handed me my huge grocery bag, and we briefly discussed the heating of dinner -- so helpful and pleasant! The direction sheet was terrific, the food. . . well, it was TJs, so it was amazing with succulent prime rib. We have dined in many times -- always a high treat -- but we would do this bundle deal again in a heartbeat! It was a delicious treat and an exceptional value. I know there are lot of superlatives here, but darn it: they're earned. Thanks, TJs!

Was surprised when the waiter billed us 3% for cc use. We were told the new policy is clearly posted upon entry, however, this is not true. See the attached pic It’s near the bathrooms and not very legible as you pass by. Therefore we second requested the additional $ be removed from our $650 invoice. The manager refused and that’s a shame. We spend upwards of 3-4 thousand annually at TJs but may opt out and find a more reasonable place

This is a really special place to eat. I loved the atmosphere- very cozy, but at the same time, you have room to move around and you are not in top of other tables. The BAR is awesome. Lovely special drinks, and draft beers. Many scotch and whiskey choices. The dining room was beautiful. Plaid and fluffy highland coos are abundant with St. Andrew and royalty adorning the walls. Most of the food was delicious and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the brussels sprouts were wayyy overdone, in my opinion. I like a sprout with a little life left in in. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the beef wellington pastry was crispy, the au gratin potatoes had an interesting blend of cheeses with maybe a little nutmeg thrown in. Our bartender, and waitress were GREAT!!! The French martini was a super star.

We were SO excited to try Tj’s and finally decided to try it out and take our mothers here for their Mother’s Day brunch! As they did not have any available tables when we called for their 12pm Mother’s Day brunch time slot, we booked it for the last brunch seating (the 2pm time slot) which was absolutely okay. While the food was delicious, we unfortunately walked away very disappointed and most likely will not return due to this.

Upon our party being seated at 2pm, the food looked great & we all got a plate right away. While our first plate of food was delicious, by 2:30 pm (only thirty minutes into our meal), many items were running very low. When we asked when certain items would be restocked, the employees stated that these items would in fact not be restocked as the 2pm brunch was the last time slot of the day. Many items our moms were looking forward to having they were not able to try.
By 2:45pm, the employees running our section of the brunch were eating the remaining food on the brunch buffet. By 3pm, the hot food line on the buffet was being taken down.

While I completely understand 2pm was the last Mother’s Day brunch time slot of the day, you would absolutely expect to at minimum, have the food stocked until 3pm. Essentially; we were seated at 2pm, the hot food options were running low by 2:30pm, and the employees were cleaning up the brunch buffet line/tables around us by 2:50-3pm. For $45 dollars a person, this is absolutely unacceptable.

While I cannot speak on the typical dining experience at Tj’s, the Mother’s Day brunch was a let down and I am extremely disappointed we brought our mothers here for their special day.

The atmosphere is sophisticated and clean at TJ Highland. However, my positivity ends there. I was greeted by about 5 hostesses, which felt odd but ok. We were sat and when our waitress came to get our drink orders (four top), she took two, then walked away. When she came back, she took the rest of the drink order for the rest of the table. After we requested it to be taken! Bizarre.
During the end of dinner, I went to the host stand to ask to pay for dinner, which they obliged the server would serve me the check. I asked if anything was offered per a birthday, as someone in our party had a birthday. A hostess said no, we don't do anything for birthdays .
Later, we had a birthday brownie dessert to share, as well as a manager visit...so apparently they DO so birthday somethings. So what was that about??????
Generally, our server made us feel rushed to order and she was very "functioning." She did her job to serve us food, but I know a server is much more than that. She forgot two orders of drinks as mentioned, but overall, she was not welcoming, selling the food, and just not seemingly interested in working the table. My friend ordered a medium rare ribeye ($64) and it was medium to medium well - at that price, one expects excellence...not so.
Overpriced mashed potato side....nothing overly special.
Ahi dinner was DELICIOUS!
Over $20 for a glass of house Chardonnay...but it was a nice glass of wine.

Not impressed at all by the service. The food left us wanting.

Buyer beware?

Visited for lunch during Oshkosh Restaurant Week. Our server, Eden, was great. Since it was a foggy Wednesday and we had driving ahead of us, we didn't order drinks. Instead, we enjoyed the chilled water from the bottle left on the table for us. I ordered the Boring Salad w bleu cheese, Bourbon fried chicken sammy. My lunch date enjoyed the white chicken chili and the nacho burger. Both sandwiches were yummy. The beef in the medium cooked burger had a lot of great flavor. We shared an Elvis sundae and opted for the grilled pound cake to-go. The soup was tasty but had no toppings like sour cream or avocado. The salad greens were plentiful and fresh, but awkward to eat as the pieces were so large. The cucumbers had been sliced well in advance, making them a bit questionable. One was inedible. Our sandwiches were delicious if a bit messy. Each sandwich was served with house made thick cut potato chips- delicious!! The desserts were a nice treat that we don't usually indulge in. Overall, we were expecting a bit more flare for a Country Club Steak House, but we were happy to pay $17 each for our meals.

We celebrated a special occasion here and had a really enjoyable evening. From the ambiance, to the service, to the food - everything was really spectacular.

We each ordered a specialty cocktail and really enjoyed them. Highly recommend any of the Old Fashions! We also got a selection of sides for the table (as they are served family-style). The brussels sprout and fingerling potatoes were a great addition to the meal! The portion sizes were great, and we all took home leftovers, but make sure you save room for dessert! The creme brulee was out of this world and the tiramisu sundae was amazing.

Our waitress and all the staff were also very attentive and personable, and really made our experience superb.

The meal was expensive, but for a once-in-a-while special treat, I think it was worth it.

I have tried TJ’s over and over. The food is nothing less than mediocre. Continually I have had food that was way overcooked. Chicken Parmesan that you couldn’t cut with a steak knife. Halibut that was so overcooked that it was chewy. The waiter even said it was way overcooked. A few weeks ago we had the pork chop special. My chop was still oinking, and my dinner companion’s chop was so tough, she couldn’t cut it. The waitress brought out a different knife for her to try to cut it, and she still couldn’t cut it, so the waitress took it out to the kitchen for the chef to cut it. Absolutely ridiculous! Numerous times I have ordered the caramelized brussels sprouts. They are not caramelized at all, they are barely cooked, and hard as a rock. There is no caramelization on them period!!! My last dining experience there was the Thanksgiving buffet which was absolutely terrible!!!!! Everything was overcooked and even the basics like sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes were disgusting. For $48 a person plus tip, for absolutely terrible food is ridiculous. The golden corral has better food than that! I spoke with five different people that went to TJ‘s for the buffet, and they all said it was terrible. One person thought they got food poisoning. There are better places to eat in Oshkosh at half the price. I don’t mind spending $75 on dinner if it’s excellent food. This is not excellent quality food. The chef seems to have an awful high opinion of himself. I have had two friends that went to Christmas parties there, and they said the food was mediocre. I don’t know how they think they can charge huge prices for awful food? The owner needs to reevaluate his kitchen staff and make the necessary changes.

I will say, the wait staff has always been great! The owner needs to reevaluate the kitchen staff, and make some major changes to them and the menu.

I ordered the bone-in filet mignon medium, expecting a perfectly seared and juicy steak, considering its the most expensive thing on the menu. To my dismay, it arrived noticeably overcooked and lacked the tenderness I had anticipated. Adding to the disappointment, each drink took an excessive 30 minutes to reach our table, making for a prolonged wait. Additionally, the potato fingerlings were undercooked, compromising the overall meal quality. I had high hopes for this establishment, but regrettably, my experience was far from satisfactory.

Refined food, great selection of wine and liquors, wonderful interior design concept, but mediocre customer service which appears to be (imo) a matter of staff training, management, and maybe chef personality? A few examples are:

1. Chef is good, but temperamental, and gets visibly upset upon receiving minor but relevant customer comments at the restaurant. I have also observed his resistance and refusals to adjust menu items for the catering customers' preferences. Overall he is an odd choice considering he's in the service industry and behaves like a diva when he can't or won't even make a good popover.

2. On a Thursday evening in August, we (a party of 2) arrived at 8:06 PM with the last seating at 8:00 (which is extremely early on a Thursday IMO) and they refused to seat us even with decades of being a club member and several tables eating. The host asked the manager if she could seat us and he said no. But a smart manager can juggle cost management and late diners with less than an ounce of creativity and flexibility. So why dont they?

3. Regarding the popovers... oh boy. Big subject. The popovers have been a part of OCC history and for many years were reliable fluffy and moist and a topic of conversation among the card playing bakers who frequented the club. So much so that even as chefs changed, the popovers remained a hallmark and a joyful moment for the diners. But this chef has managed to turn a thing of beauty into a hard and dry focal point of disappointment. Supposedly he provided some excuse one evening about the lower quality flour he was able to get. Right. Does he just hate popovers or the customers? It's hard to tell.

TJ's Steakhouse can be and has been a lovely experience sometimes, but only on their terms. Mediocre service equals mediocre experience even if the food and setting is very high end and a lovely contribution to the area. But for the price, and what they're trying to achieve, this place should work harder to to get top marks in the quality of customer experience.

My father flew up from Florida to celebrate my birthday only be greeted with not the best service. Food is excellent, atmosphere is excellent. Service on the other hand needs a solid improvement. We were seated at our table and waited at least 15 minutes before someone even noticed us. The gentleman who was working multiple, larger parties was the only one to even see how our food was acknowledged us. Our bread service was charged for which was unusual, even though the bread was great. The reservation was made for a birthday, yet no one even mentioned that as a greeting. The 3% card surcharge was automatically put on the bill even though we paid in cash. Finally, when our meal was over, we were not thanked or had anything else said to us upon leaving the facility when four people were at the front counter. We will not be returning here for anything.

If you want to have service, it seems as if you need a party of 5 or more to be served, or you need to be a member of the country club.

TJ Highlands is a great spot with outstanding food. My wife and I go here a few times a year for special occasions. The service here is unparalleled in the area. The food is some of the best I've ever had, and they always have interesting things on the menu to try. We also like the ambience. When you are trying to impress someone, you take them to TJ Highlands, for sure.

Great spot! Had lunch and was warned about the Bacon Burger. I was soooo happy that I ordered it. Loads of bacon and my favorite, pork belly. My taste buds were doing a happy dance as I devoured all the meaty goodness. I also ordered fries on the side, and they soaked up all the delicious juices from the multiple meats. All in all, I was super happy with my decisions and left with a nice food baby. I can't wait to come back to this fine establishment.

The atmosphere was great, and so was the food and service. Overall, most things are pretty expensive, but they had a decent sized menu and lower cost items could be found. We were celebrating our anniversary, and spent $150 on the two of us with drinks, meal, and dessert.

Maybe their menu food is great, but the appetizers served at a recent shareholders meeting there were the worst I ever had. Turkey was very dry, crabmeat tasted quite old. Even the desserts were tasteless except for the lemon bars. Who serves buns with no butter? I was quite surprised given all their rave reviews on menu items. I won't give those a try tho after the appetizer experience.

Love the ambiance and the food. Chef England and his team do a great job on this. The cedar plank salmon was sensational. My steaks on other occasions are awesome.

I would like to see a better curated list of American bourbons, maybe the addition of a few canadians.

Easter breakfast was awesome. Prime rib was awesome.

I really wanted to like this place. Its prices and menu items somewhat remind me of Lombardis in Appleton. Since we've been to Lombardis many times over the years we thought we'd try something different. And I will say that the appetizers we had were good. The oysters on a half shell were among the best I've had in Wisconsin. No, they didn't have that briny taste that you normally get from the freshest oysters at coastal California restaurants - but that's not fair to expect so I'm not faulting TJs.

The sides were good, just not the massive portions that you get at Lombardis. At that place, one side can easily serve three or four diners. Maybe I'm just spoiled. A TJs side will reasonably serve two if you're not total pigs.

So why the three stars? Mainly because the steaks were a letdown. I would have thought they would be the centerpiece of this restaurant. The Delmonico was decent but nothing special for $50.00. The Wagyu was $60something and while it was juicy and flavorful, it also seemed to contain a surprising amount of fat chunks and connective tissue. When I've bought Wagyu steaks from the local butcher shop, they have been well-marbled instead of fatty and you could almost cut them with a spoon. And that's just me cooking them on my gas Weber grill. I don't have the high-temperature broiling equipment or the cooking skills that a chef at a high-end restaurant would have.

When you're spending $200-300 on dinner for two, you normally expect a memorable experience. Next time we're in the mood for good steak we'll either go back to Lombardis or I'll get steaks from Niemuth's Meat Market and grill them myself. Either one would be a huge improvement.

Took out a co-worker tonight to celebrate a recent promotion. Ordered the 10oz. New York strip wagyu cooked medium rare and was surprised to find a small, thin, very fatty but poorly marbeled steak as a result. The steak knife had troubles cutting through the meat on each bite; I could literally see connective tissue trying to hold together for dear life. Most bites had a large chunk of chewy gristle that I (embarrassingly) spit out and covered with fries to hide).

At the end of the meal, the server and manager acknowledged I had consumed much less than 1/2 the steak, asked me what was wrong, and when I explained they GRACIOUSLY discounted the steak by 50%… so I still paid close to $20 for a terrible steak. Had they taken the whole thing off the bill, which I believe would be the proper gesture for a situation such as this, I wouldn’t write a review. Instead I was mansplained about wagyu marbling and how I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Gristle and marbling aren’t the same, and this steak shouldn’t be called wagyu.

The mashed and waygu tallow roasted potatoes were okay. Nothing special. Maybe I just had a bad meal. My gf had ordered a filet and it was good, but I had ordered the spinalis dorsi and medium rare. First off the cut was terrible. One end was super thick and the other was much thinner, this resulted in a terribly uneven cook. The thick end was rare rare and arguably black and blue. The thinner end was medium well. Neither being the medium rare I requested. Additionally there was some serious charring on some parts of the steak. Maybe it’s me, but if I’m paying $62 for a steak (sides extra) at a steakhouse, I expect it to at least be cooked to the correct temperature. Just shy of $200 later and I will not be visiting there again.

I came here for dinner last night in honor of Lunar New Years and was very excited as I’ve had the delicious food here before. My favorite dish here was definitely the Wagyu Steak and truffle fries. The restaurant was very crowded/busy. We unfortunately were seated at a small tiny table that wasn’t enough to accompany me, my boyfriend, and my year old son. The service wasn’t up to par like before however, I could understand that as it was a busy night. They served me my steak and it was a bit too charred and the presentation was not the greatest. And as for the truffle fries they were very soggy and not crunchy as it should be. I still think they are a 5 Star worthy restaurant and this was just an unlucky visit 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's now open to the public! If you haven't been, you MUST go. Be prepared for a fine dining experience; yes it's expensive and fancy. We've worked our way through the menu. Goat cheese curds -yum - with a spicy jam or dip. There are a lot of dishes with an Asian flare. The green bean side is delicious. I would not recommend the swordfish or octopus, but everything else has been fun to try. The menu is a la carte style, you won't really get a salad/soup, vegetable or side unless you order it separately. Expect entrees to be over $30 & sides over $12. Our favorite drink is the orange spice Manhattan and a bottle of Paradux wine. The fireplace is warm and the atmosphere cozy while swanky. Usually there's a coat check although the hostesses didn't offer it on our last visit.

Recently went to celebrate a 62nd Birthday. While the atmosphere and waiter were charming, the food did not stand up to the prices. The goat cheese curds were very good but the bacon wrapped scallops were over-cooked. Almost the entire table ordered the Delmonico steak done medium rare. While the steaks were of consistent sizes, the cook was not. My medium rare was more of medium while my brothers was much closer to a medium rare. I also felt that the actual cut I had was rather tough and flavorless, not the Premium Angus I expected. My mother ordered a medium Delmonico but her steak looked nothing like the rest of the Delmonicos and looked exactly like the NY Strip my brother-in-law ordered. When she brought it up, she was told it was a Delmonico. The sides were under-seasoned, particularly the roasted potatoes.
Overall, the service and atmosphere were great but the food really doesn’t live up to the price point. I’ve cooked better ribeyes on my $130 gas grill.

Recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. The only thing good was the atmosphere. We had a table by the fireplace, so off to a great start. Went down hill from there. The Jack and Coke I ordered was weak and served in the wrong type of glass. After our waiter took 10 minutes telling a story about how a good Caesar Salad is made and includes anchovies, our Caesar Salad had no anchovies! So by his definition, and mine, it was not a good Caesar salad. We have had the calamari before, but this time it was nothing special. My son and I ordered Iowa Premium streaks; my son stated, after a few bites, my grilled streaks are better! I would say the streaks I grill, from Costco, are every bit as good as theirs. I order their “blue cheese crust” for my streak. This turned out to be a sauce they poured all over my $54 streak, that totally over took the favor of the streak. So a $3 item that should compliment the $54 streak, was all I tasted. I make a mild blue cheese sauce at home that definitely complements our streaks. The waiter was constantly telling us story’s. We were not there to socialize with him. This meal was well north of $200.00 for three, and was nothing special! For this much money, everything should be fantastic. We enjoyed a dinner there a few months ago, and it was much better. But when you send this much money for dinner, it needs to be great every time. Very disappointed.

Good food but insanely overpriced. Had the $60 20oz Ribeye, the steak was good but I've had better at other local restaurants. For less than half the price you can get a steak that is equally as good at The Roxy in Oshkosh. The best part of TJ's was the atmosphere. Service was mediocre.

Was really looking forward to some bomb steak and was recommended to go here, but instead, it ended up being disappointing. The only good things I ate there was the lobster bisque and the smoked steak tartare. My kids ordered the mac n cheese (2 servings) and a cheeseburger. For a children's size, the cheeseburger looked more like a quarter pounder, it was just so HUGE! And the fries portion was also way too much. I ordered the Waygu New York Strip, and when it came out, it was a single strip of steak with no sides. I was expecting a little more on the plate for the price to be $34, like some mash potatoes and asparagus or something to compliment the dish, not a lonely steak. Maybe because I didn't order any sides, but regardless, if you're going to serve steak that's priced at $34, you'd expect some sides to come WITH the dish. It was cooked perfectly rare as I wanted, however I got mostly fatty pieces on my steak and there was a silver skin that I ate by mistake and it made me lose my appetite. Kudos to the waitress for being an outstanding server, but the food quality was a little too poor. Paid $100 leaving the server a 18% tip. Sorry, not sorry but I wont be going back.

As long as you aren’t competing with Oshkosh Corp. exec’s…. Easily top 3 in North East WI. Took my father here with my family and dropped $700. Oshkosh Corp was entertaining clients and had multiple bottles left on the table of $1200/bottle of wine. We were originally seated in the bar which was unacceptable as I asked not to be sat there when I made the reservation. But money talks. Celebrating my fathers 80th birthday. GM couldn’t talk with me…. Finally sat next to the money group. Service was slow until my father connected with the server who was as server in Vegas and new who he was.

Won’t be back.

Let me just start off by saying, I have previous server experience. My husband and I went here a few months ago on a weekend and it was busy, but still had amazing service and delicious food. Last night, my husband took me out here for my birthday and you would think with it being far less busy, we would get better service. The waitress was very slow in general. I ended up getting the beef wellington and it came out much different than I had it last time. There wasn't a mushroom sauce that came with it and when I kindly asked the server, she proceeded to tell me that the mushrooms were on the inside of the beef wellington pastry. I wasn't going to have an argument with her in the restaurant, but there were absolutely zero mushrooms in the dish. When you say there is going to be something on the menu and it doesn't come out, you don't lie to the customer because the chef dropped the ball and didn't do their job. Disappointed and nervous to go back when you spend that type of money here on food and drinks.

Also, the server never boxed up the thicker au ju sauce that comes with the beef wellington for my leftovers when I specifically put it on the plate for her to include in my leftover dish. Another disappointment...

Stephanie was our waitress, she was very attentive to us despite having multiple tables to service.

We arrived at 8 pm without reservations and was promptly seated.

We read a couple of Google reviews on this place and decided to try it out. The other reviews were fairly spot on.

We started with the Bourbon Bacon Slab, it was absolutely delicious! I had the Beef Wellington, it was melt in your mouth scrumptious. My girlfriend ordered the 14 oz aged New York Strip steak. She was very happy, it was cooked to perfection. And she was nice enough to share a bit with me, I have to say it was extremely flavorful! As you can see by the pictures I am posting we ordered a number of sides for our meal and weren't disappointed in the quality or quantity of the food serviced.

Although this place is located at the Oshkosh Country Club, there was not a dress code nor did they snub their noses at me and my girl when we arrived in full Harley gear sporting colors. Which made the overall experience even better.

I will note that they have an extensive wine and alcohol related drink list (I don't drink so this doesn't matter to me).

Lastly, we ended our meal with the warm butter cake serviced with vanilla bean ice cream. It was a great way to end our meal.

Sherry and I will most definitely return to try other options on the menu. I hope you will join us in this culinary experience.

I highly recommend this restaurant!
