Worst experience ever. Don’t know where to start with the nightmare. Waited over 2hours for our food. People who came in after us were served before us. Was told at the 2 hour marker that some of what we ordered had ran out. Drinks took 35 minutes to get both times. Family member went into diabetic shock and was finally given fruit cocktail. Bartender was too good to be bothered with anyone who was not a regular. I understand that they were under staffed but they should have told us it was going to be over an hour or more. Salad bar was bare and no soup for the day because owner forgot. Bathroom was gross and had no soap. It sounds like we are not the only ones with a bad experience. In the end we were not offer any money off our $250 bill. DO NOT go here unless you like to sit in a place for 2+hours for not even mediocre food.

Stopped for a late dinner and glad to have showed up on 'Fish Friday'! I had 1 piece of walleye and that was plenty! Soup and salad bar was a lovely option. The fries were good. Walked in with my family on a Friday night to eat cause we heard good things about the place. No tables were clean for us to sit at, and when we tried to ask if someone could clean the table (took 20 minutes to get their attention) they told us to talk to someone and then just ignored us. If you're full, or don't want our business, just say so and stop wasting people's time.

Found this spot by Googling around for dinner while on a trip. Got to the place, seems like you're in the middle of nowhere. Walked in the bar side, almost turned around before seeing the separate dining room. Food was good, and a good value. Was able to get a good beer also. Two things to note - 1) Waitress seemed to have All the tables. As a result, there were tables that needed to be bussed, because she was busy taking orders. When you are in a restaurant, multiple tables piled with dishes impacts the experience. Small delay to pay the bill because she was busy. 2) Waitress should know the beer list (or have it in writing), to answer questions like "what Wisconsin beers do you have on tap".

Never again! Stopped in on a Saturday only two in are group could get prime rib because that's all they had left. The rest of us got ribeye. The worst piece of meat we have ever had! I went there one day. Had a few beers. Ordered the special for something to eat. Pulled my chew and was holding. I dropped it by accident. The owner of the place came unglued!! I tried to explain what happened. No chance!! I tried to tell him I am sorry and I have major back issues (disabled). Would listen. Just stood there yelling and screaming at me. Treated me horribly!!
Then today he told me to never come back that I was unwelcome. And I didn't have one drink today!! In 61 years. The first place I have been kicked out of. If I didn't want the chew. I would have either grabbed a nappkin to dispose of it. I normally ask for a spit cup. Or went to the bathroom and spit out in the trash. I'm not a pig!! Or that disrespectful to just toss it on the floor purposely!!

From the minute we walked it wasn't a welcoming atmosphere. Waitress looked annoyed from us sitting at a bar top to taking our order. My husband ordered the BLT that is advertised on the menu as lots of bacon. The bacon barely covered a 1/3 of his sandwich. Talk to waitress- expressed he didn't want it and hadn't taken a bite yet. She said is it okay I took half price off? Uh no, he didn't eat it- it didn't get corrected you can't charge anything for it. She was spiteful there after- that you can't argue what is consider a lot of bacon. If you can't produce what you advertise then don't advertise it or be upset when ppl complain.

Ordered food (appetizers) other than a burger. Waited an hour and a half. A new group walked in and was served food within 10 min. Went to speak with the bartender about paying for drinks and not the food since we hadn't received it yet. The owner came out screaming and cussing bumping my chest. Stating I was paying for the food I hadn't received. I had told him to stop that wasn't happening and I wanted to pay for the drinks and tip my server. Other guests witnessed the scene and told the owner to stop. This will be the last time I stop there. The server was amazing being new but the owner was not. We brought friends in from Green Bay area. We were friendly and level headed through it all. He wanted a fight and to call the cops. I paid for the drinks and tipped the server $20.

Our family met at The 400 Club for dinner on Friday night. Most had the fish or shrimp. I had the broasted chicken. Our dinner was fantastic and drinks were on point.

The salad bar was a little to be desired though. The salad was old and browning on the ends and there weren't any protein options, so that was a little disappointing.

Over all, we had a great evening and really enjoyed our family dinner.

My man and I meet here in Menomonie every so often, since we both work out of town and away from each other. This place was a goldmine to find! What an absolute roadside gem! Excellent food at reasonable prices, served promptly in a friendly, clean, environment. I stopped for lunch and had the BLT, which was one of the best I've ever had. Everyone in our party enjoyed their lunch, but the real star of the meal was the garlic cheese curds, dangerously delicious. They also have a variety of freshwater fish and daily specials. If you're passing by, stop! You won't regret it.

Just a little tidbit about the 400 club : Wife and I had lunch there today patty melt and fries, couple drinks, we weren’t very hungry so wife ordered and I didn’t, she ate most of her food, but didn’t finish it so I had a few bites of burger and a few fries of HER order , when I got the bill it had a $2.00 split charge , I asked the bartender/ owner what that was for, he tells me that he should have told me that but is in menu that there is a split plate charge of $2.00 , I always thought that was if you ordered a meal to split and it came with 1/2 on one plate and 1/2 on another plate , which is costing more for the owner in dishes to wash and condiments and preparation, not to just eat a leftover from the one order . The owner says he’s tired of atvers coming in and only ordering one meal and sharing it versus each buying a meal of their own, well not going to have to worry about us cheating him out of a $2.00 upcharge like this anymore, plenty of places looking for business along the trail that appreciate it, may seem petty to you but it seems a little cheap and unappreciative to me.A good cleaning of a beautiful place is needed as well, which I’m sure is due to you damn atvers also ! 😂

We had reservations for 7:30, arrived at 7:15 and was told by the waitperson they had no reservations. But she did get our group of 5 a table. We ordered immediately. Then we waited…and waited…and waited, for 75 minutes, while the dining room cleared out. After several promises that our food would be out shortly we paid for our drinks (we were also charged for the salad bar after waiting over an hour) and left. The end! We won’t be back.

We had a nice fish fry tonight. The food was very tasty. We had the fried cod dinners. There was a choice of cottage fries or French fries. Both were tasty.

The salad bar had lots of selections. The cole slaw was really good. I also had bleu cheese dressing on my lettuce salad that was pretty good. There were also two soups-tomato bisque & clay chowder. I had the tomato bisque & that was really good. My daughter had clam chowder & enjoyed that.
