I’ve been to Toast a few times now and every time it is delicious! The hippie hash bowl is my fave. We have had fantastic experiences with the waitresses and hostesses - everyone on staff is very kind. I would recommend calling ahead about patio seating with a dog - they have let us do this several times, but gave us a hard time about it today. Best to have all of staff on the same page about it to avoid confusion and disappointed visitors!

Despite this, still in love with all things Toast. ✌️🍞

Took my mom here for breakfast on a Monday. Was after 9 am so morning rush was over. Seated immediately and our waitress greeted us. Cool place, fun vibes!! A latte for myself, iced and just water for mom. I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes with bacon and mom had a skillet of some sort. We didn't wait but maybe 15 minutes or so and our cheery waitress brought out our food. My pancakes were awesome!!! So yummy, although the little cup of syrup they first give you doesn't go very far, you'll be asking for more. Mom said her skillet was great and took some home as there was plenty. We'll definitely be back at some point for the lunch menu, which is a tough call as Toast is located right in front of Wayne's Drive In and you know how good their burgers are!!! I left our waitress a fifty dollar bill, I believe the 2 meals and my latte were roughly $38ish, plus tip. See ya next time!!

This is a very cool restaurant. The atmosphere and decor are very groovy. The menu is very interesting. The red potatoes are kind of hot, so be aware of that.

Came back for a second time. Much more impressed this time. Food was delicious and the vanilla latte got me going. Service was a bit slow, but I think that was due to the amount of customers that felt they are the centre of the universe.

I really enjoyed this place for my first visit! The staff was very nice!! The food was .. omg so yummy lol. I had a steak skillet with French toast. The steak was literally perfect! Juicy and tender. Lacked a bit of flavor but nothing some salt and pepper couldn’t fix. The French toast was fluffy and pleasant. I had a cucumber drink that was so delicious and it got me tipsy right away!! lol. Overall, it was a nice experience. I only gave it 4 starts because my stomach has been very upset since I left. I am doing this review 24 hours later and my stomach is still messed up. So there may have been some cross contamination going on .. but other than that, I would visit again. Just hope it doesn’t end in a stomach ache!

Really fun spot not far off the interstate. Much larger space than their Milwaukee location. Big menu with several interesting breakfast and lunch options. The pork breakfast tacos were delicious! Addition Hawaiian bread for the sliders is a genius touch. Like the mke location, fun atmosphere decorated with lots of vinyl records. Can't wait to return and try more of the menu.

Thank you to Phoenix for the great service. We came in just before 2pm. Phoenix was so nice , did not rush us. Explained the menu in detail and was very patience, with us. The hamburgers were good. Service was excellent in all areas. It was a hot day, but a/c was not up to par where we were sitting. I was uncomfortably warm to the point of using my menu to fan myself. I understand a/c struggles when it's this hot, but it just added to not the best experience. This was our 2nd time visiting, so we tried new items from the menu. I ordered the cheesy chicken panini which was not a panini at all. It was a small piece of grilled chicken with a few leaves of spinach, a slice of tomato, some cheese (not much to fit the name " cheesy", and an aoili of some sort on very large grilled sourdough bread. Plenty of bread to spare when I was finished with the "purpose" of the sandwich. Our server was great, but was unfamiliar with panini bread when I brought the issue to her attention. She did say she would share the feedback with the cooks. For the record, "panini" is in the name of this menu item, and the description of the item specifies panini bread. I would not have chosen this item if I knew it was on grilled sourdough.

My wife and I were passing through the area and randomly decided we were going to stop somewhere for breakfast.....we stopped at 2 other places but there was a long wait with it being fathers day, so we continued along until we found Toast. We were THRILLED that we couldn't get into the other restaurants because Toast was incredible! If you get a chance to eat here absolutely do it! We went as a party for 2 on Mother's Day and got lucky without having to wait. Groups of 4-6 were waiting hours which is a pretty good sign of the food since they dont take reservations.
The lemon ricotta pancakes are great. What do you guys use for lemon flavor? It seemed like a lemon spread or frosting?

Meh. My wife had the classic benedict and I had the barbacoa skillet. Both dishes were barely warm like they were sitting a while before serving. Even my coffee was cool. It seems that if brunch is all you do you'd do it well. My barbacoa was light on meat and heavy on potatoes. My wife's eggs tasted like old skillet. Our server was nice and the atmosphere was pleasant, but that's not enough to get us to visit again.

We love the toast in Milwaukee and tried the one in Grafton and it does not disappoint! We went on a Thursday morning and there was not a lot of people there. Both of our food was very tasty and our waiter told us that he used to be a barista and he made a very beautiful latte! The dolce de Leche latte is very very good and it’s not as sweet as the one in the Milwaukee location for better or for worse. overall much quieter than the Milwaukee location and the food is about the same, but the latte was a little less sweet than the other one. Would go here again!

BEWARE FOOD POISON So my friends and I went there and we called because we were like 10 minutes out and we live in Milwaukee we thought hey we’ll try the one in Cedarburg because it is a little farther out why not and it was around Christmas time so we said well, maybe we’ll hit the Christmas village in Cedarburg When we called to say we were 10 minutes out. They said there was no way and everything was all good so we said OK so sometime by the time we got there and checked in there was a wait and I said no we just called like 10 minutes ago. You guys said there was no wait so why won’t you guys put our name down just in case And then they said two couples and there was only four of us they said two couples ahead of us and they couldn’t make a table for us, but yet you said two couples and that’s four people which is what we had then me and my friend we ordered the same drink And they tasted nothing alike when I asked if they could, you’ll fix my drink because it doesn’t the lady could not think for herself. She literally was like what do you want me to do instead of just saying OK my bad here will be will remake it for you. She could not think for herself. It became a whole situation. Then when we got our food, I ordered the little sandwich. It’s like sausage, egg, and like an apple thing I had peppers and onions on there from what my friends had on their plate I end up getting food poisoning from there Overall, the experience was god-awful. Do not go there if you don’t want food poisoning.

This is a fun restaurant with breakfasts worth trying. The Blueberry Lemon French toast is decadent and the maple sausage is addicting. The Crispy Chicken waffle was an interesting treat. We were told the special we tried on our last visit will be on the main menu soon. It was moist chicken thigh meat on two sopes, both topped with an egg and homemade mole sauce. So good! And the potato wedges on the side were perfect. This seems like a laid back place to take your time and savor flavorful dishes made with quality ingredients. Plus - they have bacon!

Our appetizers were warm, but the rest of our food was cold. It’s like it had been sitting for at least 10 minutes before it was brought out to us. Eating cold eggs just isn’t very enjoyable. This had happened to us the first time we went so we thought it was a fluke, but it looks like it’s just their norm. The corn doggies were good though and the bacon had great flavor. Where do I begin... this was our first visit and we had a 30ish minute wait for 6 people, which was totally fine. But then they sat us 6 adults at a booth. We were smooshed like sardines and it was not very comfortable, but we made it work. I mean maybe if we were all tiny, normal sized folks, but we live in Wisconsin. Then we started getting all our food. None of it was hot like it was just made. It all felt like it had been sitting or pre-made? I'm not sure. 2 of the 6 meals were pretty good. 2 people in our party ordered over medium eggs with their meals and they came out very watery and runny. The hashbrowns were way too salty and pretty oily. I couldn't tell what was happening with the toast. I don't think it was buttered. All the people working in there seemed to be a little cranky and not too friendly. We've been all over the world for food, and this was mediocre at best. We still left a good tip, but I don't think we'll go back.

UPDATE: Yes I asked for a different table before we were seated, and was told the one i had in mind was an 8 top. Um ok, then we watched you seat 6 people there. We did not send the food back or say anything to the server because the server was a little short with us toward the end. Maybe because of how busy it was getting? We did not talk to the manager because we had already pretty much formed an opinion. It's nice to eat as a family, and sending food back is not ideal from past experiences.

The wife and I had brunch this morning ( Monday) and couldn't be more satisfied. Super fun atmosphere that you don't expect from the outside. Over the last 50 years we have ate at every type of restaurant in our U.S. wide travels. Local cuisines, 5 star etc., but in the last two years Toast stands out with the best of them. The attention to plating was masterful, the breakfast we had was very pleasing in taste and appearance. My wife's Shrimp Benny and my Barbacoa pork were excellent. Even my good friend who you could call a "keep it simple" eater, enjoyed having French fries with his bacon and eggs. My son gave us a gift card for Fathers Day and proved to have learned a lot from his mother who is an excellent cook herself. My compliments to the Chef, she really knows what she is doing.

Went for lunch on New Years Eve. The food and service was good. It was fairly busy. We had a party of six and the wait was forecasted as 30 minutes but we only waited about 20. My only complaints would be that the music is fairly loud which makes conversation a little difficult, especially if you have hearing issues (which I do). Also the smell of patchouli is pretty strong. The smell and music play into their 60's/70's theme but they could dial them back a little. The Handicap accessibility was nice for my grandma too.

Not a great first trip to Toast. Met on a Thurs morning and was really busy. Had a hard time talking at our table, with the music turned up. Wall fan was blowing straight down on us. We asked to have it turned down/off, but didn't happen.
Menu was ok, with some non traditional items. Son had a few bites of his barbacoa burrito and said it was horrible. Challah French toast was good. Not the place if you are looking to have a traditional build for own breakfast (eggs,sausage,hashbrowns,etc) as I was.
Spent $75 on breakfast for 5, with one kids meal! Stuck with water after seeing prices. That's a lot for breakfast. Son said the bathroom smelt horrendous. Will go to a more traditional breakfast spot next time.

Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed. I ordered huevos rancheros with sausage and coffee, my wife got a skillet with orange juice and we split an order of mini donuts. $65 with a 20% tip. Kind of pricey for breakfast. Coffee wasn’t very good and the huevos rancheros had a weird flavor to it. The service was good though and they were very polite. Some people dig the hippy vibe thing they have going on but it just didn’t vibe with me. Overall it’s just not for me and I probably won’t be returning but I am glad soo many others enjoy it.

Ordered the hippy hash, was so good. Coffee delicious! The place is cute inside, vinyl album covers hanging all over. We enjoyed ourselves. Handicap is ok, if you can do stairs, but not access to bathroom with wheelchair.

I got engaged yesterday and my now fiancé and I decided to get brunch in the morning to celebrate. This was our first time here. The atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. Our server could have been better. Most notably she asked us to leave immediately after we paid because “other people are waiting”. As a server myself, I completely understand the frustration of tables sitting for a long period of time… however, we only sat for maybe an extra 5 minutes so I could finish my drink before we left. Kind of frustrating to be rushed out so quickly as we also had to wait ~30 minutes for a table ourselves, and we were there for maybe 30 minutes at the very most (from the time we were greeted by the server to the time we left). The food was great and I would like to come back but preferably with a server that doesn’t kick us out immediately.

Edit: I am not sure what the server's name was. I believe she was a younger-middle aged woman with dark hair. I paid with my card so my name should be on the ticket if you are able to look it up in your system.

Toast was a fantastic experience. As you enter, you'll feel a sense of openness in the restaurant. Our service from Danielle R. was outstanding and the food was nothing short of delicious. I had the Loaded Omelet. As a mushroom lover, I substituted the regular mushrooms with the wild roasted mushrooms. I could taste the flavors of each ingredient and it was phenomenal. I haven't been here for dinner, but this is certainly a restaurant you want to experience.

The service from our waitress was very good. She was definitely attentive. The atmosphere is eclectic & fun. Our omelettes were good but would definitely recommend the hash browns over the potatoes. We had 1 of each. SKIP THE SAUSAGE. The pork sausage had no flavor. If it’s homemade made someone forgot the spices.

I had the croissant sandwich, it was pretty mediocre. The croissant was a little hard, and only had one little measly piece of bacon that was ripped in half on it. The scrambled eggs on it weren't really scrabled, it was more like a little frittata on there. I also had a side of chorizo biscuits and gravy. They charged me for a regular entree, and it was supposed to come with an egg, but it didn't. Not to mention, I waited about 20 minutes for the food when there were only about 4-6 tables. Maybe staffing shortages, not sure.

Food is fantastic!! First, the corn dogs batter is perfect, fits well with the chicken sausage. The jalapeño honey mustard is to die for, perfect flavor combo. I had the beef burrito, wife had the beef skillet...beef was perfect in flavor and texture. The drinks offered are also just right...Bloody Mary's and mimosas with great choices of flavors OR do the 4 sampler!! Environment is fantastic, 60's-70's music, hippie like, vinyl on the walls with the album covers, great music...This is my new go to, especially for brunch!

I love this place! The management, staff, and food are amazing. The restaurant is working up to its one year anniversary in November. I'm hoping they'll have a great big celebration so I can come party!

The menu runs along a breakfast menu. However, these breakfasts are not anything you'll make at home! It's a treat and a culinary experience. You'll get great value for a great meal in a happy environment.

I love Toast Cedarburg! I've had great service every time, and the food has always been high quality and interesting.
Highly recommend the Barbacoa hash, the papa rojas sell the whole thing!

Our new FAVORITE breakfast "joint" lol We went on Saturday morning at 9:15 am and were seated immediately. Jake is an awesome waiter. He is patient, attentive, and friendly. Tamara makes the most tasty coffee drinks too! I enjoyed my tangerine pomegranate mimosa and look forward to trying the mimosa/bellini flight next time! All of our food was FANTASTIC. The entire staff is incredibly attentive, when a piece of silverware slipped off the table- 2 staff members noticed and got us a new set/extra napkins without us having to ask! The team can be heard laughing with eachother and humming along to the great tunes playing. This was on a Saturday morning and the fact that no one looked frazzled says A LOT about the work environment for them. Two members of management also were out and about... I appreciate a company that has hands on managers! Please check out and support this local business- you won't regret it!

Such a disappointing interaction. My wife is a travel nurse working in the area. It was 8am Saturday morning and we found this restaurant. They had a large patio, so we went in and asked if they can accept our dogs on the patio with us.

We have done this probably a 100 times. We take the pups with us 90% of the time. Some restaurants say no, most say yes. We never even ask unless they have a patio. They are well-behaved and totally under control.

Anyways my wife got the thumbs up by the hostess, so we unloaded our two 15 pound dogs on leash. We got them seated at the table. We almost always order them a meal as well. They are spoiled.

After sitting for 2 minutes, a person came out and flatly stated no dogs (in their best polite get out voice)

So we awkwardly got up and left.

Thankfully, there were zero customers to see this awkwardness.

Oh, well. Maybe train your staff better to have one consistent message to customers.
