I will start off by saying this is the best General Tso’s Chicken I have had as long as I can remember. If you have been looking for that type of American-Chinese food this place has it nailed as far as I have experienced! Best crab rangoons in La Crosse for sure. Chicken was fried perfect and the sauce was well balanced and so yummy. My brother in law had the spicy beef ramen, I tried the broth and it was very yummy. The sushi was great too. The only mild downside was the sushi did take a bit longer than the other food as I think there was just one person working. I did not downvote at all for this as the food was worth the wait.

The eel roll was good, rolls are the way to go. I was not impressed with the ramen.

I arrived at about 12:30 p.m. and I think I saw a couple of other customers otherwise I was the only one. Seated right away with a pleasant server. Order the beer and looked at a fairly extensive menu. Got to seaweed salad to start with and it was good with a generous portion. I also got there are two different types of fish row sashimi and again good portions. Main course was Hunan lamb and it was okay. It's supposed to be spicy but the sauce is kind of bland with a spice coming from a bunch of dried hot peppers added in. If you eat one of the peppers you get a little bit of heat, if you don't there's no heat. I had some time to eat the salad before I ordered the rest of the food and then there wasn't much time in between each course. So the lamb said for a little while cooling off before I got to it. Fairly nice inside and clean except for there's food between the booth seat and seat back questions. All in all it was okay but I won't be in any great rush to return.

It's only my second time and I'm still loving it! Best hot&sour soup in the area, sushi/sashimi melts in your mouth, quick service for a cozy place and attentive staffs. Will have to try their Chinese menu next.

Yummy! A cute little spot with quick service and good sushi. We didn't get a chance to try the Chinese portion of the menu yet.

Chicken in entrees was like rubber. Do not recommend Sesame Chicken or General Tso. Crab Ragoon had nothing inside of them. So disappointed. Will not be ordering ever again.

my very first time trying tokyo fusion today and let me just say wow! i got the 3 rolls, 2 spicy salmon hand rolls and 1 spicy tuna hand roll. i am very picky when it comes to sushi and they were absolutely amazing. very fresh and spicy too (which is how i like it) i did order takeout so i can't say much in the atmosphere but it is a very nice place. will definitely be back for more😋

Best Asian food in the La Crosse area, and second place isn’t even close. I’ve been here half a dozen times and gotten something different each time. Loved all of it! I’ve also had the same server each time and he is an absolute gem.

When I see word fusion, I know it's going to be a fun blend of two different cuisines. Not in this restaurant. It is a Japanese OR Chinese food. Both very mediocre. My Mongolian lamb was 99% of bamboo for $15. Soup had 0 spice. Fried rice Very bland.
Now, for sushi. Imitation crab ...again no spice as promised, for over $15.
Our early dinner for 2 was mediocre and not worth the money.

First time here, we went in the evening, it was slower and got seated immediately. Food and appetizers came out fast and we filled our bellies right away. My family and I enjoyed what we ordered but a little different than what we usually enjoy from the chinese menu.
My husband got the hibachi dinner and it was definitely more on the saltier side, almost un-edible but he was able to finish the meat.
I got the triple delight and it was ok as the sauce is not like the usual dark and savory. What they served was a glutinous and light broth stir-fried in with the meats and veggies. It’ll be hard to adjust but if you like light light version, this is it! We also ordered pad thai noodles and my son enjoyed it, he said it was sweet not savory. Lastly, my kiddos got items from the Japanese menu and the rolls were excellent! Definitely recommend the rolls.
One of the workers were amazing as well, she blew up some balloons for my kids. Thank you!

Wonderful food, people, and service. The people sitting next to us were a buit loud and rude, but that doesn't reflect on the restaurant. Even found a smiley face in our soy sauce.

The ambiance is beautiful compared to a lot of sushi places. Very tasty and super friendly staff. We would come back anytime we’re in La Crosse! The sweet potato tempura were my fav.

Tried this place three times now but only tried their Chinese menu. My partner loves their crab rangoon and says its the best in town. The food is good with exception to their chicken wings. It was way too dry to even eat, very overcooked. The weekday lunch special is an excellent price with large servings. They cook and get everything ready quickly too.

We have eaten tokyo fusion three times now (twice carry out and once in the restaurant) and the food and service were phenomenal every time! We have tried 3 different sushi rolls, two different Chinese chicken dishes, and the vegan ramen and we were happy dancing with each bite :) we also tried the crab rangoons and the gyoza appetizers and those were fantastic as well! Definitely recommend trying it out!

Best sushi in the area, when I moved to La Crosse I was sad there wasn't a good sushi place. i'm happy i found one. The chinese food is good too. The booths are uncomfortable but an easy fix. You can't fix bad sushi and cooking. I look forward to trying more of the menu.

I had a takeout order consisting of a California roll, shrimp tempura roll, and crab rangoons. To be brutally honest, the price you pay for the portion size you receive is expensive. Two rolls, with an order of crab rangoons was $30.00. Each roll contained five pieces of sushi, and they do charge extra for eel sauce and spicy mayo. However, it was some of THE BEST sushi I've ever tasted! And yes, I do order real sushi, so don't say "well this guy doesn't know sushi he just orders Cali rolls and fried shrimp rolls". It was my first time trying this place so I figured if they can make good cooked rolls, their actual sushi is probably fantastic. Also, they have THE BEST crab rangoons I've ever tasted!
All in all, is it expensive for what you get? 100% yes (roughly $10.00 per cooked roll if you want eel sauce and spicy mayo with it, then their actual sushi rolls are more expensive than that). But, if you don't mind paying a little more for something that tastes incredible and doesn't taste like grocery store sushi, then this is your place!

I cant speak for the other food but the sushi was very good; salmon, white tuna, red tuna. It's pretty chaotic in there which is understandable for the first couple of weeks. Tables, seats/seating, bar area are not comfortable and size restrictive.

I tired a few different entrees and I thought they lacked seasoning. Ramen broth was disappointing and not enough toppings.

I want to preface this by noting that this place has only been open for a couple days. I know opening week can be rocky. I think that they could do much better than they currently are.
Food: We ordered the Cheese Bombs, La Crosse Roll as apps and the Chicken Ramen and General Tsao's for entrée. The apps came out pretty well. Unique, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The problem came with our entrées. TF has a HUGE menu, but a lot of it is the same sorts of things that you find at most Chinese restaurants. The General Tsao's sauce was watery and lacking in flavor. The chicken was butchered into tiny pieces, many of which were just crunchy gristle. It was served with 2 pieces of broccoli and a huge bowl of dry rice. My wife and I were pretty underwhelmed, especially since this is a staple dish for Chinese restaurants. The ramen (what I ordered) was very disappointing. The broth lacked seasoning, the chicken was dry, and the egg wasn't even marinated. The most shocking part was the noodles though. I can't prove that these were spaghetti noodles, but they didn't taste anything like ramen noodles. You can go to Matsumoto in Sparta and get a taste of authentic ramen. I would honestly take Maruchan over this.
Service: We were seated quickly and our orders were taken promptly. Apps came out quickly, but we sat for nearly 30 minutes after finishing the apps before entrées came out. They had a ton of people coming in for takeout, including someone who ordered a literal full box of food. I'm not sure that their kitchen/staff are prepared for in house service plus take out. To their credit, they recognized that we were waiting a long time and brought us a complementary squid salad. I wish they had asked us first though, as the salad had ingredients that my wife is allergic to, and I don't eat squid. At the end of it all, we had to wait another 15 minutes to get the check. Us waiting there caused people waiting for a booth to leave before being seated.
Atmosphere: Dawg, most of this was inherited from Sushi Pirate. The booths are in horrible condition. Mine was missing stuffing in the left half. At the end of the experience, our backs hurt from sitting in them. They just aren't the the right size for the tables either. The music they played was very relaxing though.
Conclusion: I really can't recommend that you go here. Takeout for certain items could be worth your while, but it's not even as though they have competitive pricing or speed. I hope that they take this feedback into consideration as they move forward. It just seems to me that they launched a little too early and/or need some more help in the kitchen.

I am so happy to have Tokyo Fusion join the restaurant scene of downtown La Crosse. The sushi was incredible - I had the Sushi Star. I would've posted a picture of the crab rangoon, but we ate them too quickly. Best crab rangoon I've ever had. We'll definitely be back!
