When the coleslaw is the best tasting item served, I knew I was in for a rough meal. I have tried the pizza at Tony's before and it's been good. I thought I'd try the broasted chicken. Not only was it overcooked to the point that the chicken was dry as a desert, I wonder if the kitchen has access to any spices, including salt. While the skin was nicely crisp, it had zero flavor. When combined with the dry meat, it was a huge disappointment. Heck, even the hand cut fries were not salted and were a bit greasy for my taste. Guess I'll be sticking with the pizza the next time I'm in Spooner.

We had a birthday party for our Mom at Tony's. The wait staff was great to work with, the food was wonderful, and the outdoor patio was a nice area for people to gather. Ordered the broasted chicken mixed dark and white meat with fries and cole slaw. It was a chicken leg with a thigh that didn't have any more meat then the leg did. They also notified me after I received my food that they were out of Cole slaw but did not offer any discount. Waitress never asked if we wanted more to drink either. They also charged a debit card fee even though it's illegal.

We had appetizers only this trip around. Food and service are both very consistent. Our reason for stopping was because Tony's has an upstairs meeting room which we were allowed to use for a meeting. Food was good but we were charged 10 dollars more a meal than the menu stated. Bartender said it must be an old menu. We got cheese curds instead of fries but even if that’s the case a 10 dollar upcharge for curds is ridiculous especially if they don’t tell you prior. It didn’t say anything about cheese curds on the bill, just the price of the sandwhich. Service was slow on drinks and I had to wait 5 minutes after the bill just to ask about the price. It is what it is but I’m never going back

Worst pizza we ever had!! Asked for under baked, pizza edges were burned black, even the meat was burned along with the cheese. When we questioned it being burned, we were told that is how they make their pizza. Do yourself a farvote and never order a pizza from Tony's Riverside.

As far as pizza is concerned, the cheese was great. They crust was fine. The sauce was a little too sweet for me and the sausage was not my favorite.

I only took it to-go , and they were extremely fast and it looked like a fun place to be if I was hanging out for dinner or a drink.

We had a fantastic experience at Tony’s Riverside! The Cheese Curd Trio was a definite highlight—the garlic ones were my favorite, bursting with flavor. They’re a must-try if you visit. The pizza was also absolutely delicious, with the perfect combination of crispy crust and toppings. Great food and a cozy atmosphere make this place worth the visit. We will definitely be coming back!

I think overall the menu update is really good. The staff provides great consistent service. The only gripe is.....the pizza sauce is terrible from the original recipe. We were at the cabin up here and decided to the Tonys Riverside. Tony’s has the best food! The kids love it and so do we. Highly recommend. I had the Cesar wrap and curly fries and my other half had the chicken melt. VERY GOOD! Not to mention the kids stayed busy on the claw machine!

We plucked feathers off the wings, some of which were cooked ok, while others were not. Dryed out, with no flavor. Does a white ring on the edges mean freezer burned?
1# order got me 3 large and 1 small wing. Waitress asked, so I said what I just wrote.... she shrugged it off, just as I will any further visits. Bummer. :((

This is a sad review to write. My family used to love Tony's. Have been going for 30 years. Best pizza in all the land. It was a place to be proud of in our little town with otherwise limited restaurant offerings and even fewer "good food" options. We knew we could always depend on Tony's. Until about 2 years ago.

Something happened.
Something bad.
The pizza became inedible.

First it was being served undercooked.
Less cheese.
Then we noticed a different sauce.
Yucky, sweet sauce…nothing Italian about it.

So we stopped going.
Started going to Denelies. Wasn't as good as Tony's used to be, but a lot better than what Tonys was offering , so our longtime loyalty switched to a new team.

We waited 2 years.

Then, based on talking to neighbors who felt the same as we did, we figured Tony's had to have heard what people were saying the last few years and made improvements to go back to basics. Had they caught wind of the negative things people were saying?
So 2 years later, we decided to back to Tony's.

Walking into with fingers crossed....

We ordered a sausage and it wasn't quite what it used to be, but it was improved. Close to vintage Tony's! Almost great except an off-putting new green topping that was sprinkled all over the top. We all agreed that topping was not good. But we appreciated the pizza seemed to be close to what it used to be.

So we went again last weekend.

Service was great as it always has been.
Loved having the fresh cut fries again.
And the chefs salad was great.

But the pizza......
Almost inedible.

Undercooked, sauce was sweet and awful. Forgot to say “no topping” when I ordered, so that displeasing green stuff was back. We rarely had leftovers in the old days. This time we took half the pizza home. Nobody fought over leftovers like they used to. Nobody wanted it.

I guess what happens to all legends eventually, happened to Tony's. They tried to fix what wasn't broken and they messed everything up.

Farewell Tony's. We used to adore you.
Our family gathering place.

We are sad to have lost a Legend.

But now you're just somebody that we used to know.....

Great bar food interesting story for the bar. I had a bacon cheeseburger. The burgers come on a ciabatta roll, which is too big, but the burger itself was delicious and they have curly fries. Everything was great except the bill. We each ordered. I had the California burger with onion, changed out fries for onion rings. Hubby had bacon cheese burger changed out fries for cheese curds. Got charged for the basket plus the side orders added in. California burger was $18.58 and bacon cheese burger was $17.58. Got the bill and was 🤪. Don't change up your orders there.

Four of us stopped in during a snowmobile ride on Jan. 29th. The service was great. Kaitlyn was efficient and entertaining. The food was excellent and very fairly priced with good portions. Nice to see during this period of skyrocketing prices. I had the patty melt -- outstanding. The 21-shrimp also looked like a great choice by one of my friends. Will surely try to get back again.
