Food was AMAZING. Our experience started out with meeting Jason who went above and beyond and offered us a ride because he felt bad we had to park farther away. He was so nice showed us the property and explained everything. We later learned that he actually was one of the head chefs. Then comes our amazing waitress Raye, Who went above and beyond to get us a table and get us in right away. She was so nice and gave us amazing advice on what to eat. The food was amazing. The service was beyond exceptionable. You would really be missing out if you didn’t get to experience Raye and Jason and the staff at top deck!

Absolutely fabulous food! Small dining room with a bar and windows overlooking the bay. The two of us shared the duck wontons as an appetizer, and they were absolutely fabulous ! My fish tacos were amazing and my husband enjoyed his jambalaya as well. We left very satisfied! Service was fairly quick and very attentive. We will definitely be visiting again on our next trip!

We had a wonderful outdoor lakeside dinner with 2 other couples here on a Sunday evening. Our fantastic server, Ashley, knew the menu to a t and her recommendations were spot on. She was friendly, funny and most importantly performed her job with experience & excellence. Rare, these days. Highly recommend both the shaved Brussel sprouts and portobello appetizers, as well as the key lime pie!
The view couldn’t be beat, the grounds breathtaking and we will, for sure, make this a regular dinner out.

Server did not tell us specials, so I completely missed some great options. Ordered the chicken and dumplings to see that it is three huge dumplings with *maybe* a half cup of broth/cut up chicken. Has been a favorite of ours but something has changed. If you are waiting at the bar for a table expect to wait for a drink too. The bartenders must be trained not to make eye contact because if they do they might have to assist you. The menu has been scaled back removing some of their best dishes and the salad portions have shrunk making it hard to justify $11-12 for an add on to your meal. The view remains its best feature, absolutely breath taking.

The food is decent - although needs an uplift. We ordered Brussel sprout “chips” and they were huge brussel sprouts cut in half that were super hard to bite through.
The service is what is really awful. We have been coming here for 13 years and it’s sadly a disservice to see the entitled kids they have working here now. They are charging a decent amount for their food but the service seems like you were at McDonald’s. We sat down and no one came to talk to us for 15 to 20 minutes. I finally stopped one of the waitresses and asked if she could find out who our waiter was. She looked at me annoyed and then came back and said I guess it’s me. After that the service was all right but halfway through I took my daughter to the bathroom and told the waitress we would be right back. She still didn’t bring the dessert so that was still left and my daughter wasn’t finished eating her food either. I also had my husband to go box on the table with food I ordered for him. When we came back a minute later our table was completely cleared and they were making room for a larger table and looked at me and said we thought you were done. We didn’t even get her dessert yet and my daughters personal toys were taken off the table! There is no apology other than sorry people leave all the time . They acted like we were inconveniencing them. I asked to talk to the manager and she was just as rude. I then went to the front desk and they didn’t seem to care either. I guess this is just the new way of entitled kids expecting a tip. If you really must go there because you love it great but expect horrible service and to be treated like you are nothing.
Unfortunately our anniversary tradition of coming back every year sadly ended this year. :(

I’m kinda bummed and hate to even post a bad review, but my hopes it to help them better from this experience. I was so so excited to surprise mom with a nice dinner in celebrating her being cancer free and a birthday. We had a wait which was expected so we stopped at the bar. We waited maybe ten, fifteen minutes and saw he was very busy at the time. Being that he never said anything like, I’ll be right with you we decided to walk around and take in the nice scene outside. After about thirty minutes we came back in sat at the bar and again not once was told, hi I’ll be with you in a few minutes. Again, I saw how busy he was and do understand the short staff but any recognition of I see you would have made us feel welcome. Even if he could had had a manager come help. After the ten minutes with no hi I actually asked mom if we should go somewhere else. At that time he told some woman to help us and got us drinks. I put my card down and the bartender immediately ran it and looked at my tip right after, but never thanked us. I did tip 3 on our drinks because I know he was busy and was not going to not tip. We got seated and watched him immediately help two young girls right away. Again, I don’t want to bash when I do realize everyone is short staffed and did see he was busy, but I truly did not feel welcomed. ☹️ And slightly a slap in the face after helping the next two immediately. This was not a great way of starting of celebration dinner.

The food was wonderful and the views on the outdoor patio were amazing. It was well worth it to wait for an outdoor spot, especially when the weather is nice.

Unfortunately our waitress was less than stellar. She never refilled our water, was unable to answer questions about how the food was prepared, and was generally cold and distant. Meanwhile I observed the table next to us have a waiter who interacted with them in a jovial way, would continually check on them, and was friendly.

You will have a good meal here, but your service might be hit or miss.

We had a bit of a wait, but enjoyed walking the grounds. The view were breathtaking despite the fog! The corn muffins they staryed us off with were AMAZING! IFf there were extra, I wpuld've stuck them in my purse like my grandma! 😂😂 I had the fish tacos and they were, hands down, the BEST fish tacos I have ever had. They were filled with flavor and very filling. I would DEFINITELY come back again! Hubby ordered the pulled pork sandwich and his said it was one of the best. Food: we had a little bit of everything. The filet was tender and cooked to perfection. And the quality of food was what you would expect at the finest a fine dining establishments. Everything was made from scratch and with quality ingredients. The homemade crabcakes were my favorite.

My boys had handmade homemade pizzas and said to say that they loved them!

Service: warm, welcoming, and my glass was always full of water. (had Labatts NA a kind treat)

Safe: all the COVID regulations were followed with the utmost respect so we felt safe. It was the first I’ve been to a restaurant out since March and I am glad it was this one. Everyone was spaced out well and had masks on when not at their table.

Recommendation is that it is a must if you go to Door County.

The view was wonderful. The food was okay. The service was adequate. I ordered the pot stickers. They were luke warm and they needed the accompanying sauces for flavor. I started with the beet salad, which was quite good. My companion also ordered the beet salad and also liked it. For her entre' she had the rib eye. She loved it. I thought the potatoes and veg that accompanied her steak lacked imagination, but she seemed to enjoy them. Top deck is one of our FAVORITE restaurants- great view, great staff, great food! We love the date night menu they do, rotating unique specials through the regular menu. Whether you stop in just for appetizers and a drink or two on your way home for the day or go for an epic full dinner, they sure know how to please! My favorites are their north bay fish chowder, the brussel sprout chips with balsamic, bleu cheese, and bacon, and of course, their "Blue Monday" cocktail with their own infused vodka! Everything at Top Deck is top notch. The service, bartenders, and staff are second to none. I always appreciate how they engage in conversation but even mor, you can tell they are truly genuine in their exchange. I love to be able to come in as a guest who may not be staying on grounds as it is such a private and peaceful location. This is always my place to bring out of town guests as the view is perfect and makes you feel as if you are on a ship.

The attention to their drinks is much appreciated, especially their Old Fashioned! Rumor has it, they serve up a mean bloody as well. I never eat fish and love their Walleye. Any good fish shouldn’t taste fishy, so the Chef certainly knows what he is doing in choosing and preparing fish. I even chose it for our upcoming wedding at Gordon Lodge.
