Town Council is easily one of our top two restaurants in the valley. The menu may be small, but every dish is done exceptionally well. Their rotating specials never disappoint. Marcos runs a fantastic kitchen, and during our last visit our server, I’m terrible with names but she had just moved from Texas, was as attentive and personable as could be. Always a great experience. I would reserve online ahead of time on resy though if you wanna get a table inside. It’s intimate and busy.

This is place is what would happen if your Grandma, Gordon Ramsay, and a unicorn all teamed up in the kitchen.

The building? When you walk in it feels like a family reunion where everyone is in a good mood and nobody is arguing about politics.
The staff? Friendlier than your neighbor who snow blows your driveway without asking.
The food? I would happily fight a raccoon in a dumpster for the last bite.

Pro tip: Don't make plans after dinner there. You'll be too full, too happy, and too emotionally attached to your leftovers to do anything else (if there are any leftovers).

If you're in town and you DON'T eat here, I can't stop you... but I will silently judge you forever.

I have been going to town council consistently for the last 3 years. This is by far the best restaurant in the Fox Valley. The staff is constantly busy as every time I’m there it’s packed, but they always take the time to chat and thank us for coming in. Alex is extremely fast at making cocktails - yet the presentation and taste is top-notch. I have a lot of favorite cocktail bars in the area and nothing compares to TC. The food is next level as well but I’m sure anyone reading reviews with photos can already tell that. The space is small, but in the best way. I recommend sitting at the bar; it is a chefs table experience. You would be paying more in a big city to be sitting so close. The overall feel of the restaurant is definitely Hallmark movie. Every time I am here, I know it is money well spent- the service, the food and everything in-between is absolutely impeccable and so worth it. Farm to table, antibiotic-free and grass fed steaks, everything is the highest quality you’re going to get. LOVE YOU TCKB! 🩵

I had my first ever luge shot...First eat all the marrow out of the bone the hold one end up to your mouth and drop a shot of buffalo trace down the other end. Some of the dishes we tried were home-runs, while others needed more balance of flavors. I thought the Duck Confit Ceasar was very well executed as well as the Duck Breat Entrée. The Pork Shank was cooked well, but the accompaniments didn't do much to enhance the dish. The Smoked Cauliflower could have also had more flavor. I also found that a lot of common liquors were not available, and the substitutes were not very good.

The pork belly appetizer was good, but the fries were burnt and the bolognese had such an excessive amount of strong parmesan in it that nothing else could be tasted (and I normally love parmesan). I got 3 or 4 bites down and was done. We expected better for a $50 per person tab.

I had an excellent experience for my first time at Town Council. I started off with one of their cocktails, I can't remember it's name but there were beets involved .. it was delicious! My friend and I also shared the cauliflower and the carrot salad .. WOW. I can't stop thinking about the carrots! So flavorful and well balanced. I had the duck breast for my entree, it was cooked perfectly and the parsnip puree was the perfect accompaniment. My friend tried the butternut pasta, also spectacular. We sat at the bar top and it was really fun to be able to see the chefs in action! If you're able to get Ali as your server, I can guarantee you will leave happy. I will definitely be back for more!

Fantastic world class locally sourced food made from scratch perfect for the adventurous. Not the place for the steak and fried food crowd. Our dinners were some of the best food my wife and I have had anywhere in the world(and I’m not kidding). Vegetarian options are always available, my wife had an incredible Green Goddess salad unlike anything she’d ever had. The Morel special I ordered was so unbelievable I refused to given up my plate until bread was somehow found to allow me to mop up the sauce. Extensive drink menu and unique desserts.

Fantastic cocktails and food, just be prepared to pay for it. I came here and had a fantastic meal after a long business trip. My only criticism is portion size relative to the price which I should have been aware of after checking out the menu beforehand.

If you’re looking for a delicious meal this is the place to be, but expect smaller portions of extremely high quality (and local!) food. The service was fantastic - it’s clear the wait staff and kitchen care about what they do. Would definitely come back here for a special occasion but I’d be prepared to spend a bit more than I was initially prepared for. Definitely a pleasant surprise in the land of “burgers and fries” that is Midwest cuisine. It’s no wonder this place was packed on a Wednesday night!

Thanks to a person at the EAA seaplane base i was directed to this amazing place. She said the chef was a childhood friend and had created something special. When I saw the menu, it was clear the chef knows his business. Atmosphere and food rivals some of the best places I have been in NYC and Washington DC. Wish we had a place in the Adirondacks as good. Service was very good, very attentive. The food was overall disappointing. I had the Ribeye steak which came with fingerling potatoes and mushrooms. The steak was very thin, and it was cooked well done. I asked and he said all steaks are done medium. He did acknowledge the steak was well done. However with a steak that thin, i doubt it can be cooked medium at all. For the price it was a very small portion of steak. I was also disappointed that the fingerling potatoes and other sides were cold. I don't mean lukewarm, i mean cold, like just out of the refrigerator. The 3 others in our group were also very unimpressed with their meals. For the price, there are much better places in the area. We prefer to visit locally owned places but I am sorry to say we wont be back

Always a great experience! Stumbled across this place while in Neenah one evening and was pleasantly surprised. This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. The trout is excellent as well as the steak. They had a seasonal eggnog Thai time which was perfect for the Christmas season. Light and creamy, house made. We also enjoyed the cheesecake flan. I can't speak to the entrees as we didn't order one, but the starters were super tasty. It is a small restaurant and you will be sitting close to other people. They also prepare the food very close to where the seating is, and it did get a little smoky, but I enjoyed the authentic feel. This doesn't bother me, but it's something worth mentioning. We had the pleasure of working with Alex from the reservation process to service. His recommendations were wonderful and the service was exemplary. I appreciate a prompt table touch and he and the other staff were always there to see how our food and experience was. There menu is ever changing, I encourage you to try the pork chop, duck, and trout. All three were standout dishes. The chocolate mousse and peach tart were the perfect end to our eventing. One thing to note: This is a quaint space, noisy at times, so it can be a tough location for a business dinner if you are looking to work through content/decisions vs. fellowship. Highly recommend!

For drinks we both had old fashions which were delicious and generous pours. For an app we order the Pork Rillette, which our bartender Alex suggested. Not only was the board visually pretty, but full of flavor. For our main course, I ordered the ribeye, which was perfectly cooked. My husband had the pork chop, which was bigger than his head. Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. The dining room is small and has limited seating. Dispite it being busy we were able to find a seat. We had the pork belly with kimchi hot starter. It was great, perfectly cooked and the kimchi had a great bite to it. I had the rib eye which was cooked perfectly medium rare and full of flavor. My 10 year old had the full baked trout and was in heaven. My wife had the pork shank and it was fall apart melt in your mouth delicious. The staff was amazing and attentive. I would recommend this establishment 100% top to bottom.

Highly recommend this place. The food has a unique taste like nothing you'll find anywhere else. The staff is very friendly too. Try the ramp spaghetti (or maybe ramp pasta) and smoked salmon!

The best food!!!! They are all about quality not quantity which we appreciate. We sat at the bar which was like watching a cooking show in itself while we ate our dinner. We will definitely come back.

Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Food was excellent though expensive. Most choices in small portions. The result was a great culinary experience without being stuffed. The music seemed out of step with the atmosphere - loud country rock. We had to move our table away from under a speaker in order to hear. They appeared to turn it lower later in the evening.

The food and beer selections were great. Everything is freshly cooked in front of you, if you sit at the bar. The hours are basically dinner only which is unfortunate since we've lived in the area for over 2 years and this finally happened to work out. If you plan out your dinner correctly you'll get an awesome 4 course meal. It's a bit pricey compared to other places in downtown neenah, but totally worth it. This is some of the best food I've had in a long time. 10/10 would recommend. I don't usually get fish dinning out, but everything was so good I'm tempted to go back and try the trout, as there is no way it could taste bad here!
