I have to drive to Rapids now just to have this because they left Marshfield but the food is always amazing, the only issue me and my partner noticed is your speaker at the drive thru is horrible. Get it fixed immediately, I can't understand a word being said, it sounds like someone is talking from 50 feet away without their headset on. I also hate not knowing the total for my order before I get to the window because sometimes I use cash to pay.

These guys did a pristine job! The smoothie tasted better than I expected and the Chipotle Chicken Wrap was one of the best I've ever had from a Tropical Smoothie store. The lettuce was crunchy, the bacon was crunchy, the chicken was the right amount of smoky, and the bread was soft yet also a bit crunchy but not in the overcooked way, it was just grilled correctly!

Had an excellent breakfast from the drive thru. Had the pesto Flatbread and it was incredible. Ingredients were fresh, the food was warm, the wrapper was totally clean of grease so you know the staff keeps clean hands. We appreciated that they took the time to make sure everything was perfect. I ordered buffalo chicken wraps today and 2 of the 3 tasted "off". So, I opened mine up, only to find mold on my chicken. This isn't a blood vessel or the fake grill marks they have on it normally. It is definitely mold. I won't be ordering from here again.

Edit: Inserting an edit here to let people know that they did refund the money for the order that was placed. I will be leaving the review up however. The food that was served was/is still very unacceptable. Their inventory needs to be checked for more things like this.

Just wanted to update since there's new owners. I've gone multiple times this summer, both through the drive thru and eating in. Still happy with the food. I've really been enjoying the Chicken Pesto Flatbread. Smoothies are tasty. Restaurant is clean, nice to sit in for a quiet bite. Wifi is free and works well. They have outdoor seating but I do wish there was a shade cloth or umbrellas. It's just concrete and gets so hot. Drive through is convenient. Staff seems fine, and service was good and quick.

Used to be so good, but clearly cutting corners to save a dime and it's going to drive them out of business. Our smoothies tasted flavorless and sour. Were given a wrap instead of the salad we ordered. They replaced our smoothies and salad but we had to take all the time to go back and no compensation for the inconvenience. In the end, I got a bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce and super thick shredded carrot that they obviously bought from the grocery store. Thai chicken salad? No romaine, no sesame seeds, no scallions. Just a 10 bowl of iceberg and some really bad gristley chicken (no doubt frozen Tyson strips). I feel robbed. I went here a lot but won't get food anymore! At least they made the smoothies correctly the second time.

Update 6/3/22: removed another star, and I'm done. Ordered through mobile, was given the wrong order. Correct smoothie had zero flavor, and I don't think they added the ginger I paid for. I also ordered extra chicken on my wrap, and that wasn't done either. Management really needs to get it together.

Previous review: Had to take my rating down a notch. I love that we have a place like Tropical Smoothie in Rapids, but the last few times we've gone, it has been inconsistent. I understand supply issues because of Covid, but replacements should not be made without customer consent. This time I didn't get the chips I asked for. Also, one of my party ordered the Thai chicken bowl and she had to pick out all the cilantro because it was wilted, soft, and inedible... brown even and there were maybe two wonton strips in the entire bowl. The previous time, she ordered the Thai chicken wrap and there was almost no greens in the wrap. The time before that, everything was perfect, as ordered. I want to continue going because of the fresh food, but the Rapids location needs to work on consistency of quality.

I stopped in on Monday after picking up my very hangry 6 year old from school. After ordering through the drive thru and pulling up, I realized I didn't have my wallet. I told the cashier at the window I would be right back, she ran to tell her manager who came to the window. At this point my daughter is in tears over the food and the manager stopped me from pulling away to give me my food I didn't pay for yet. He was super nice about it and insisted to take it. Not something you see very often but I appreciate it! The new owners have done an amazing job here and are genuinely nice people. Plus the quality of the food has gone up!

Used to love this place, however since it reopened there has been a few times where I have been extremely unsatisfied with the outcome as a customer. This is what I received today for an ultimate club sandwich, the ham on one half and the turkey on the other. It appears as if the meat was never separated piece by piece, to allow for proper cooking, and instead they were just taken off the line of food and slapped in half on top of the bun. This seems to be a result of lacking in training and I’m sad that this will be my last experience there for quite some time.

I love that we have an alternative to typical fast food here in wisconsin rapids. The food and smoothies are amazing. However the customer service is so terrible I probably wont go here any longer unless it improves somehow.
They seem to always get your order wrong and get very confused with their own menu items and how to make them. One point I had to ask for a side of ranch/barbeque 5 times because she didnt understand what I was asking even though it was supposed to come with the menu item I ordered. She then never gave me the side and also did not put three different things on my quesadilla even though it came with those things and I didnt ask for it to be specially made. I was shorted a smoothie and the wrap I ordered also was not the one that I asked for. Everytime I go there's always issues.
It sucks because I love the food and smoothies but it's super frustrating to come here because this seems to happen almost everytime I do.

I ordered the turkey bacon ranch sandwich. It's a big sandwich, served warm and the bread is really good. BUT...there was only one tiny piece of bacon on the whole sandwich, and they forgot the cheese that was supposed to be on it. Lettuce had brown bits on it, kind of unappetizing. Also in apple kale slaw, the apples were brown. This place has potential, but they need to address some of the issues in the recent reviews.

Waited for 5 mins inside only to get told the lobby was closed (no signage stating this); drive thru only. Then I spent 20 mins waiting in the drive thru line only to get told they're not serving food (also no signage). Thanks for wasting half of my lunch hour. I went through the drive through there was a HUGE line couldnt figure out why. The employees get a lot of feedback from the traffic that comes through that road. It was frustrating as a customer because they couldnt hear me and i repeated myself multiple times. I spoke to 3 different people before they asked me to just pull up to the window and give my order. I really felt the staff wasnt familar with their menu when i was talking to them and kept talking over me. One guy was trying to assume what I wanted without listening to me. Wasnt the best experince. When i was waiting I could see a lot of staff standing around instead I think they could all learn to work together to make the process faster to speed up the line. There seemed like there was no real team work. They need more training. And the combo meal was a rip off it says "save"ya you really arent saving. Lastly I think that if they are hearing that much traffic sound either they need to invest in a better speaker so they can have a better drive thru or get rid of it over all.

I absolutely love their food & smoothies. Probably my favorite place in town. However, I was NOT impressed with the customer service when I went in there to eat last week. My boyfriend and I walked in and waited at the counter for 20 minutes. Several people working in the kitchen looked at us, but not a single one acknowledged us. No one said "hi", no one said "we'll be with you as soon as we can", not a single word... we ended up leaving and eating somewhere else. I completely understand that they are probably overwhelmed and understaffed, but that's no excuse for not even acknowledging your customers.

Sad a friend picked me up a 3 cheese and chicken quesadilla today and normally the cheese is well melted and the quesadilla is crispy. Today it is like they threw it together and warmed it slightly. Had to warm it on the stove just to get it slightly crispy and melt the cheese. Very disappointed! Also got 2 other quesadillas and had to do the same thing. And when asked for a bag had the window shut in our face.

I went to tropical got delicious smoothies and my card was changed for the correct amount. One month later my card was than charged again for the same amount 😨

I had called to get the issue fixed, the manager was so great, he needs a raise!
How ever the manager had to pass the information along to the owner before giving me the refund. I had asked why it had happened and they didn’t know. The owner was supposed to call me and never did, so I was pretty buggy to the manager, he was great about it all said he would keep reaching out to the owner.
The owner didn’t reach out to fix this issue. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Really disappointed. I myself used to work at tropical smoothie and I know it can be hectic at times but the service I had received was just sad. I waited over 10 minutes to get my wrap, no smoothie, just a wrap. The wrap was falling apart when I opened it and the chicken didn’t even feel heated. When I pulled up the girl didn’t say anything to me, not even repeating my total, just took my card and shut the window. Rude if you ask me.. And this last one may seem small, but I wasn’t given any napkins.. I do love going here but it’s sad that I usually only go when I see certain people are working because I know I will get good service out of only a handful of employees, which is usually at night. I will not be going back during the day for smoothies or food.
