Went here because reviews said there was gluten free options and celiac friendly. Besides the gluten free pizza crust, there is maybe 2 other options - one being a $6 salad that is literally just a plate of lettuce (i did as for tomatoes and onion to be removed). Also, the music was stupid loud.

We go for the half priced wings on Tues and Thurs but I'd pay full price for them. We need to come try the fish fry some day. We also love the atmosphere and the quick service.

I've been visiting the Dells for years and have frequented this spot several times in the past—but sadly, the quality and service have taken a noticeable downturn.

Our party ordered a 36-piece wing platter and a pizza. The pizza tasted like a take-and-bake you'd get from a grocery store—bland, forgettable, and absolutely not worth the $30 price tag. As for the wings, the experience was even worse.

When they arrived, we had to use our phone flashlights just to see what we were eating—the lighting was that dim. When we politely asked for clarification on which wings were which, the waiter mocked us for using our phones and barely adjusted the lights. We still had to keep our lights on to eat.

Coming from Buffalo, I have high standards for wings—and these were some of the most undercooked, soggy, and undersauced wings I’ve ever had. The “hot” wings were doused in an insanely spicy sauce that resembled suicide sauce—not your average “hot.” It burned everyone's mouths and ruined the experience for the entire table.

We politely brought our concerns to two different staff members—both shrugged them off. There was no effort to apologize, accommodate, or even offer to discount the six wings that were inedible even though they'd been mixed in with the others. Instead, we were charged extra for condiments and even soda water—items that are typically included or complimentary at other establishments.

To top it off, I had to walk to the bar multiple times to place orders despite our table being one of only two in the kitchen area. The staff spent more time chatting amongst themselves than checking in on guests.

We still left a fair 20% tip, but this will be our last visit. Not because of one bad meal—but because there was zero accountability, hospitality, or interest in resolving any part of the experience.

TL;DR:
Food quality and service at this longtime Dells spot have dropped significantly. Pizza was overpriced and bland, wings were undercooked, soggy, and far too spicy without warning. Lighting was terrible, staff was dismissive and unprofessional, and we were nickel-and-dimed for basics like condiments and soda water. After voicing concerns, no one cared to make it right. Won’t be returning.

We are locals in the Dells and we usually eat at Showboat/Tugs at least once a week for their amazing specials! The staff is always super friendly and the food comes out at the perfect time. I am gluten free and they have the BEST gluten free pizza ever!!!! If you like Wings… this place is a must!!! Thank you for always taking care of us and providing amazing food and service!

We stopped in for an early dinner on Friday. Happy hour 1/2 price taps, very friendly service and the food was great. Both my son and I had the Friday fish fry special. I had Bluegill and he had Walleye. Fantastic! My wife had a personal pizza. She said it was very tasty and it looked great. I highly recommend the the Tug’s Kitchen.

Stopped in here after a boat tour, and it was nice & quiet at that time. Bartender was friendly and attentive. I had their chicken/bacon/ranch flatbread. It was presented nicely & tasted awesome. I'd never had anything like it before, so wasn't sure what to expect. I would eat one daily if I lived closer. Great experience.
