Wonderful atmosphere inside and out on patio. Lots of patio seating. Nachos are huge and fantastic and cheese curds are very delicious stuffed with cheese. Service is friendly. The place is crowded but still gets the food out quickly and hot.

We live locally and frequent this business often. It has never failed to make every stop worth the time and effort to get there. The menu changes quarterly and has a wide variety of dishes to choose from. They will also adjust many of their dishes for gluten-free appetites. This establishment has indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas for the sunny days and is pet friendly. It also has frequent live music from the area. We have always enjoyed dining here and highly recommend you to give it a try.

Apparently this is the IN place on a Saturday evening. Live music, lots of people (mostly twenty and thirty somethings) busy busy bar, long wait for seating, average food, and atmosphere so loud that you have to shout to be heard. If that is your idea of a great experience then enjoy.

Good was great! Long wait for seating so we sat by outside bar and ordered food and drinks there. Lace was our bartender and we ordered food through her. She was great! Very friendly and quick! Had live music... It was great. Overall we plan to come back.

I had the Margherita Pizza and the French Onion Soup. My sister’s friend had the Waygu Burger, and his girlfriend also had a pizza; my sister had the fried fish sandwich. The soup was so good, and the pizza was exactly what I was looking for. The bun for the fried fish sandwich was great and the Remoulade on the sandwich was outstanding. Food was great all around. Perfect stop after hiking Devil’s Lake.

My wife and I love this place and it's vibe. I highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip and definitely the pretzel bites, they're probably the best pretzel app I've ever ordered. To explain the reply from the restaurant, I had an issue with some lacking portions for a to go order but the manager Lance reached out to me and refunded my order and handled it really well.

Great food … service is terrible !!!!! Our server was completely off….either she just didn’t care… high as a kite. We ordered several drinks , one of them was a manhattan but it came without cherry or orange twist , and was stated on the menu, but she was completely upset when I asked for the orange twist and the cherry . We decided to change tables to get a better server … did not happen . She touched the table just once , our drinks we had to asked them directly from the bar , and just to have an extravagant ending to this ; she offered the dessert menu and we said yes the I don’t know if she forgot or what but when my husband stood up to ask for it she said “the kitchen is closed” our table was never cleared at all. I still tipped but man… maybe I shouldn’t have.

Maybe our server was having a bad day, but slow to acknowledge us after we were seated, very slow to take our order & hard to find when it was time to pay the tab. Overall, came away disappointed. Ordered the Hot Buttered Skillet Shrimp & a side of Cheese Curds. The shrimp were plentiful, but somewhat bland in heat / seasoning, while the curds were what you should expect in Wisconsion, just a bit overpriced. Maybe will try again in the future, but wont make it a priority.

The food was pretty good, but to be honest the drinks were nit great but they were ok. The biggest thing though was the bugs, I know obviously there will be bugs when you sit outside, but here the flies where everywhere! Ive never seen that many in a seating area before, it was disgusting.
I would probably go again in the future for the food, but I am NOT sitting outside again.

Just went here for the first time yesterday. Everything was fantastic. After a hot day enjoying devil's lake park, the Arnold Pomergranite iced tea was a perfect refreshment. My wife and I had the ceviche which was fantastic and I had the BLT with avocado and grilled prawns. Delicious. The live music was excellent as well. Over all a wonderful place and the perfect way to finish a fun day at Devil's Lake. We will make this a regular stop for us when visiting the park.

I came here yesterday for my birthday and we had a total of 14 people. One of my family friends was the first to get there and so they were the one to get the table, and upon their entry and telling staff we’d need a bigger table, one of the hosts said “well is all of your party here? If not we can’t seat you.” Her grand daughter is special needs and cannot stand for long periods of time so that in itself was just the start of our experience here this time around.
Then when I arrived with more of the party, no one even attempted to make contact with us. We stood there waiting but decided to just head straight to our table that our friends had gotten us.
Now to the service and food. Everything was fine except having to wait 10+ minutes to get a drink refilled. Everyone ordered food and it wasn’t until the end we were notified that the bill can only be split 4 ways for each table (we had 2 tables). We got the bill and it was only on one tab, forcing us to combine the whole bill between the 2 tables.
Food wasn’t as good as it usually was, and our waitress was not that nice.
I celebrated my 21st birthday here and we had an AMAZING experience, drawing us back to this place. I celebrated another persons surprise party here as well, same experience as my 21st, and came back to celebrate again and was extremely disappointed!
After some of the party left, the remaining of us (3 people total) went outside to listen to music. We were rudely told “I just watched you guys walk out and grab this table, you can’t sit here, and if you’re out here wanting to listen to music you have to be on the lawn!”
As a person who works with people every single day, and is in the service industry, I was shocked. Our party commented about how everything has went downhill and I had to agree. I was NOT impressed! Especially for how much money we spent and the way we were treated. I’m not sure we’ll be back after this. 🙁

I've been here many times now and they never disappoint. Service is quick and friendly and I've enjoyed every beer, cocktail, and food I've had. The atmosphere and music are great. They have a decent amount of umbrellas for shade, but more would be nice. An expanded bar would be a huge plus. They'd benefit from one spot to order at the bar and better signage on where to pay. The Tumbled Rocks Medallions were very good and I would order again. Just wish it wasn't as salty and that they would take the shell off the shrimp tails. Looking forward to going back.

This was my second time here. The first time we had a great time. This time it was not the same experience. Our serve was an absolutely amazing woman and deserved everything we gave her. But the rest was really underwhelming. First sitting at the bar the bartender made us drinks. The margaritas were not prepared properly. As they were made with orange liquorice into the drink and overall it was very sour and the measurements seemed off. We stated we didnt like it, and they still charged us for it. It is honestly not a good way to treat your customers. And then when asking for a receipt they refused to give us it. Then we sat down for dinner and the appetizers were so so. The crab cakes were bland in flavor. The meatballs were decent. The french onion didnt taste right to me either. I have grown up in resturants, and am used to a traditional french onion and this tasted burnt and not well seasoned. Then we ordered and the fish was good as usual. But the bologna sandwich was burnt and not seasoned. I had to send it back. I end up getting the cold shrimp Pico avocado appetizer and that was a bit sour but good overall. Being a local, it makes me not want to go again. It gave me a bad taste in my mouth. I dont know if I will be back again.

Over priced small servings ruined the experience. The restaurant itself is nice and the beer is decent. The $15 cheese curd appetizer was pathetic. The serving size was what I would expect for a side, not a shareable appetizer. Most plates were priced over $20 and after the terrible showing from the appetizer we decided to get lunch elsewhere.

We came to the restaurant and brewery after a hike to grab something to eat. The beer was the best I’ve ever tasted! The meatballs were stuffed with cheese — fresh and tender — and the artichoke appetizer was a pleasant surprise.
My fiancé ordered a steak, and the doneness was different from what we asked for, but it didn’t affect our overall impression.
There’s also a small stage there — I think local bands perform sometimes, but we didn’t get to see it because we left early.

The amount of flies in the restaurant was absolutely disgusting. We were sat in a sunny and, extremely hot, corner of the restaurant where there had to have been 10 flies in that corner alone just dive bombing us the whole time we were there, landing on our food and on us. I felt completely "buggy" by the end of dinner. It was so hot in the restaurant that my pants were soaked from sweat just sitting there trying to eat. The food was also not up to par. I had the kitchen burger and my husband had the wagyu beef burger and both burgers were so dry they were like sawdust. I could only take a couple bites of my burger before the dryness became overwhelming. The only reason this place didn't get a one star rating was because the manager, Lace, was extremely helpful and discounted our bill for the inconveniences. When it came time to pay our bill we couldn't connect to their Wi-Fi for some reason to move money so we could pay for our bill. It took a good half hour of repeatedly trying to connect to their Wi-Fi before it actually connected so we could move money over to pay our bill. Without their Wi-Fi there was zero signal getting into that restaurant. It was a very frustrating evening.... And we left hungry.

They are doing it ALL right from start to finish. The outside patio with music, the brewery vibe with vaulted ceilings inside and the pickled veggie relish that is incredible fresh simply rock. The food was pretty blah in relation to the price. The service was not worthy of the 20% and up tip options on their card payment unit. (An empty cup on the edge of table = refill, please.) Two adults and two children, only basic sandwiches, and no alcohol/desserts/appetizers were $75 out the door.

Meh. Been here a handful of times and none have been awesome experiences. It's a 50/50 and could go either bad or okay. Had luck w the hot chicken sandwich but then got a sausage pizza without sausage. The dude working told us to let him know if there wasn't any and we laughed thinking it was a joke. Nope, forgot the main topping. Came for the pizza special and they didn't give us the discount but said they had a mispour of one pint they could offer us to the two of us to share. And they charge $8 a pint or more which was a total surprise when I got my bill. The beer is brewed in house but well overpriced for the area. Will I be back? Probably. Atmosphere is good. Bartender was nice. Location is great. But will I be a regular and a happy customer who recommends the place? Not at this rate.

I recently visited Tumbled Rock on my day off for lunch and ordered their Chilled Pasta Salad and a beer. The chilled pasta salad is apparently a new menu item. The flavors were good but there was too much pasta for my liking and not enough of the other ingredients (black beans, avocado, roasted corn, tortilla strips) but overall it had good flavor. The star of lunch was their Cabana Dreams - Jalapeno Tamarind Mango Sour. This beer was so refreshing, unusual and delicious. Of course, I had to order a second. They also have great wood fire pizzas which I’ve previously ordered - my only regret was not ordering the pizza instead of the chilled pasta salad this time. This place is located in a beautiful setting and the service was great.

Great brewery + restaurant to recharge at after a hike at Devil's Lake! The beer choices were varied and all delicious, tasting exactly the way they are described on the menu, and the 5 beer flight tray came with a small bowl of snacks. We tried the Burratta Flatbread, Kitchen Burger, Brisket Mac n Cheese, Grilled Chicken Margherita, and Osso Buco and all the dishes were generously portioned. The cheese curds for the appetizer are NOT to be missed!!

The food is pretty good here! It's better than a lot of options in the area. I felt pretty safe as a solo traveling Brown woman. I ordered a paloma and it was NOT good. It came in a tall glass and was very watered down. They forgot a straw too. It was busy & the server took foreverrr to take my order but it came pretty quickly once I did. It can feel overwhelming when it's packed but the vibe is nice, especially on the patio.

Super excited to be in Baraboo to visit the local breweries with Tumbled Rock being our first stop. Right off the bat we went to the bar and asked for a flight of their top five beers. The bartender said he couldn't do that because he didn't know what kind of beer we liked or if we had any allergies. Really? We asked for the top 5 sellers. It would be our fault if we ended up not liking them and if we had allergies, we wouldn't be drinking the beer. My husband asked for a sample of one of the beers for me to try and commented to the bartender that I wouldn't like it and the bartender goes "well then why did you ask for it"? Well, obviously just in case I did like it! He was very rude and unwelcoming to us. He made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. We drank our drinks and went to another brewery where they were very nice to us. What a bummer of a place.

Highly recommend this spot for a memorable dining and entertainment experience.
The space is beautiful even on a cool, rainy Wisconsin day it was warm, cozy and inviting inside.
All the beers we had were fantastic and if that’s not your thing, they also have a full bar (score!) with well crafted cocktails.
Ahi Stack wasn’t prepared “layered” as the menu stars but it didn’t matter because it was delicious.
Tumbled Rock Medallions were melt in your mouth good.
Many surrounding us had pizzas that also looked phenomenal.
Live music started at 8pm and was absolutely delightful. We had a spot very close to the music and I was a little worried it would be too loud but they did a very nice job with the sound system. We were able to have a conversation without yelling and enjoy the vibes.
Can’t wait to come back!
The only thing they could improve upon is the bathroom upkeep. We were there on a very busy night and many people had children so I fully understand staff had their hands full, but regularly emptying the trash and maybe bigger toilet paper dispensers would be a huge plus.

The exterior and interior of this building is so beautifully designed! I had the oven baked pretzels and they were the best pretzels I've ever had! I'll be thinking about these for years to come. They were so soft and I loved the salt on top. I ordered the Mac and Cheese and it was so freaking good! It was a huge portion and I would have loved to finish it but couldn't. The dessert menu looked incredible! I'll have to come back sometime soon to try more stuff off the menu! The only downside to my experience was how loud it was inside. However, that wouldn't stop me from coming back again, because the food was so impeccable!

Great food, great vibes, and great beer! The whole package what more could you want? A modern building that is packed with fellow patrons who want to get some lunch or dinner packed with flavor and a side of some awesome, innovative beer. The staff were equally helpful while hilarious: I asked her for recommendations and she told me to trust my gut and not hers as the last time she gave out a recommendation the customer hated it and now she’s traumatized! Got a good laugh from me!
We got a fish sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, bologna burger, french dip, and two appetizers: the beef marrow and the lamb lollipops. Would recommend the lamb lollipops and the bologna burger with a side of truffle fries!

We arrived around 2pm and was seated promptly on a Saturday. Ordered a flight of 5 beers and a cocktail. The beer was good. We’ve been here a bunch of times, so we were familiar with menu and drinks. We haven’t been here since the remodel. The fireplace was gone. Really opened up that side of the room. We usually order two pizzas and a salad. The pizzas have been pretty much the same on the menu. The salads change up. They are really good and definitely enough for two people. This was a mixed greens with a raspberry vinaigrette with strawberries and blackberries. Also two deep fried goat cheese puck sized pieces on top. Very good. We usually order the farm pizza with the best bacon ever, onions and corn. Our favorite. The other pizza was a mushroom truffle. Also very good. It’s one of the best wood fired pizzas around. We like coming back. In the summer they have musicians playing on a stage outdoors. Usually pretty busy.

Very weird beer menu. If you want salad or dessert, check out the beer menu, OR if you want a beer, don't waste time reading the beer menu, simply order a PBR and save yourself the headache of trying to decide.
Food's okay.

Stayed one night as part of the Harvest Host program. The parking lot they have you stay in is conveniently right across the street from the brewery. All of it is in a quiet residential neighborhood. The lot does have a fair incline across it but is correctable with blocks. The restaurant has a nice big dog-friendly outdoor area that is great with nice weather. Beer was good and service was pretty good too. We had some sort of lamb appetizers that were awesome. Pizza probably would have been good except it was super oily under the crust for some reason. Still, enjoyed our experience enough to give 5 stars.

The food and beer menu Is quite large and eclectic. I chose the wood fired sausage pizza, which was very savory, featuring a thin and chewy crust with a crispy bottom. It was a beautiful fall day, so I really enjoyed dining outside on the large deck/patio, sipping on my "To Helles and Pack" draft beer. I definitely will plan a return visit soon!

Did not expect such phenomenal food at a "brewery". Drove up from Waukesha-area and stopped for dinner after a cold December hike at Devil's Lake with my fiance and her (soon our) daughter. Food was off the chart. I had the bison meatloaf and lobster mac. Un-be-lievably good. Fiance had a burger she said was outstanding and daughter had the prime rib steak (which I had a good portion of and was amazing).
I had a Seein' Dubbel draft beer (fantastic) and my fiance had some peach cocktail which she polished off quickly (and she's never a big drinker)
I rarely feel compelled to leave a review about a dining experience but the food at Tumbled Rock is exceptional. I kept thinking WOW... this in Baraboo??!! I'd give 6 stars if I could.
Plan to return and bring the rest of the family. Very conflicted. I feel compelled to try other things on the menu but that bison meatloaf and lobster mac is going to be hard to not order again.
Fantastic facility. Great ambiance in the "kitchen". I imagine the vibe is even greater during warm weather with the outdoor spaces.
Well done to the Chef and staff.
Update 10/5/25: well we have now been to Tumbled Rock probably 8 times over the past couple years. NEVER had a bad experience. Food always stellar. Beer as well... hope they bring Seein Dubbel back soon.
I have only ordered the bison meatloaf and lobster mac, so that's all I can speak to, but my fiance and daughters have ordered about everything else and loved it. Our favorite restaurant.

I've visited Tumbled Rock a couple of times. if you're looking for a nice restaurant in the Baraboo area, this is it. They have a restaurant area both inside and large outdoor area as well as a detached brewery building .It has a great atmosphere incl. live music most days. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Very complete menu for both drinks and food. I've had their BLTA as well as their Salmon Salad both were very good. Others that have dined with have had the pizza and everybody has liked the food that they ordered. See the photos for the menus, prices and live music video.
The value is actually quite good for a restaurant with this atmosphere with large umbrellas for outdoor seating of larger parties as well as the live music stage.

Horrible service
Took 10 minutes for our server to greet us. We placed our entire order, drinks, appetizers and entries one she finally acknowledged we were there. Appetizer came out 10 minutes later, drinks came out 15 minutes after that with our entries. We never saw her after that …. Never came to ask if we needed more drinks … how our food was…. Nothing . The staff was completely disorganized and out of control. Keep in mind the place was not packed . Empty tables here and there so I can’t blame it on capacity. Great atmosphere if they can find a good operations manager.

Not great for large groups as there's apparently only 1 table available and they don't take reservations in September. Even though their website says you can book the taproom, can't do that in September either or for a group of 12. Waited nearly an hour even though we called ahead and tried to reserve space. Place is great for small groups.

Great location to stop after playing at devil's lake.
🛻 Lots of free parking and street parking.
🐕🦺Dog friendly on the outside patio.
Just keep driving as there are better stops with the kiddos.
🍔🍕🍟🍠🍲 The food was very good, and the more you hiked at devil's lake the better the food tasted, so go work up an appetite.
Service was great, quick, checked back to make sure everything was good. Perfect.
🧑🎤 They had live music while we were there and it was great as you could still have a conversation or listen to the music or both.
🍻 and the beer was delicious, we had the devil's brew and the choc cherry stout. We talked with others and every one loved their beers so go for the beer but enjoy the food, entertainment and service.
👍Give this review a like 👍. Maybe a follow to find places across the country and North America as we travel around in search of advertise experiences, good food, drinks and just fun stuff.

The food was not the best in my opinion. I ordered a pan seared cod with shrimp, when it came I thought it the cod and shrimp were separated not together. It tasted alright, but not the greatest and they give you way too much sides, half I didn't eat cuz I didn't like it, they should give you a choice. Will not eat there again

5+ Stayed here last night as a Harvest Hosts member. It was one of the best meals I’ve had while traveling. It was almost impossible to make a decision on a drink and food, they had so much good stuff. I had the Miles of Smiles Shandy. I got the creamy corn and poblano soup and the summer salad. All the food I had and the drink were flawless. The service was also incredibly good. My waitress, Sara, was charming and pleasant and very helpful about food choices.

Discovered this place via a TikTok video recommendation and decided to check it out during our trip to Wisconsin Dells. We stopped by Saturday night, but it was so busy there was a 40 min wait for a table. We decided to try again Monday night and were overall very impressed! Beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces, kid-friendly, & diverse food menu. Everything was fairly priced in my opinion.
“Cowboy Like Me” was one of the most unique beers I’ve ever tasted. Flavored with a variety of spices, it was delicious!
Brisket Mac & cheese was the star dish of the night! Huge serving too.
Mac daddy pizza, BLTA, & crab cakes were all good.
Parmesan truffle fries were perfect and also a huge serving.
Elote was disappointing. Though it does mention in the menu that it’s served chilled, I think it would have been 10x better served warm.
French onion soup was fine. Nothing to write home about. I prefer mine richer and saltier.
But overall, I would definitely recommend this place for families, foodies, & beer-lovers!

When listening to Michelin star chefs talk about their food they say ingredients are the most important. This is not the case with tumbled rock. While the atmosphere is outstanding, it’s the food I take exception to. The food looks amazing but the taste is not quite at the same level. I expect this is to keep the cost down. They aren’t deceiving the customers, in fact on the menu the prime rib is listed as a choice cut, not prime. We will return with our dog to listen to music, but skip on the food.

I mean the food was good- nothing to die for. Very pricey, but that’s not a shocker. We ordered drinks from the bar not realizing the kids meals come with a drink. My niece ordered chicken tenders off the kids menu and we almost got charged an extra .75 for dipping sauce. Luckily we caught it on the bill. And they don’t do anything for birthdays!

Absolutely delicious! This hidden gem is a bit hard to find on Google, but a friend we met at our Mirror Lake campground recommended it, and it was the perfect spot for Father’s Day. We had incredibly fresh and stretchy cheese curds that tasted just like homemade. We also tried the wood-fired pizza, opting for "The Farm" pizza to share, and it was very tasty.
