I have been here 6 times in 3 weeks. I come in before the rush 4:30ish. I typically tip 25-30%. The food is a bit pricey, but could be worth it if the service would have been a bit better. The bartender/manager Anita seems to be extremely efficient behind the bar and balances a lot of customers. However, I am working from out of town, which means I eat out a lot. In the past 1.5 years, I have become friendly with every bartender server...they remember my name after 2 visits. Anita treats me like she has never seen me before. She refers to me as ma'am...peeve of mine. I have witnessed her pay special homage to many customers coming in. She knows their names. She takes orders ahead of me. Even people who are there for the first time, she wishes them luck on their journey and thanks them for coming in, which means she took a minute to talk to them and find our what brought them in. She explains specials to everyone....I have never been given the specials, ever. When I order, she says house salad? But doesn't give me any other options, so I feel like that is what I am getting. I get the bill before I am finished. I probably would have had some dessert. She alone is the reason for my review. Again, I am out 4-5 nights a week. Have not had this kind of negative attention ever in over 150 different restaurant visits. She was loud and rude. Sorry Tuscanys, you can do better. I will find another venue for the next 6 weeks in Kenosha.

Kudos to all the staff at Tuscany Bistro, but I gotta give a special shout out to Anita - she is amazing! If you have not been to Tuscany and had one of her martinis - RUN, DO NOT WALK. Anita is welcoming to everyone who walks in the door, whether it's your first time or you are a regular customer. She is proud of the food served, customer experience, and the people she works with. My family and I had the pleasure of being served by her last night - honestly, it could not have any better. There was an old hag sitting next to us last night. She was very rude, talking on her phone through the entire meal, acting entitled, and demanding. Anita treated her like gold! I was impressed to watch her handle someone who was obviously miserable in life with such kindness. Honestly, it's tough being a service worker, people do not need to make it worse. On the way out my 20 year old son even remarked on how rude our neighbor was and how Anita kept her cool. But one bad apple could not spoil our night! Everyone there rocks and every meal we've had has been AMAZING! Kudos Tuscany - WE LOVE YOU!!!

Lentil soup was 100 out of 100. Bread was hard and stale they served with dinner. Olive oil and garlic a seasoning with it was great. Bolognese had great noodles but sauce lacked flavor and was to thin. Overall good food but seems to be hit or miss most times I go. They are content on being a good restaurant not a great one. I will not ever go back. The manager refused to control a table of drunks that was screaming the "F" bomb for all to hear. Finally, after several complaints the manager talked to them and they left. I was there on July 19 with a date and spent $200. The dining room is cramped and the wait staff can hardly get between the tables constantly kicking the back of my chair. The sound bounces around so badly that it is difficult to talk. This is NOT a place to take a date.

Tuesday August 2025: I stopped at Tuscany for a delicious and authentic Italian dinner.

I started my night off with the sangria, which is a favorite of mine, I love the flavors from the cinnamon and the cherry brandy. It's fruity, delicious, and goes down just a little too easy!

For dinner, I had the Linguini Carbonara with a side salad and some bread with garlic oil. The garlic is rich, powerful, and perfect for garlic lovers alike. The carbonara was decadent, creamy, and extremely filling. Everything was delicious!

I also want to comment on the service. I receive the best service when I dine at Tuscany and Chef Theresa is almost always there when I visit. She walks around the restaurant to check how things are going, she greets guests, clears tables, and she makes you feel like family. She does it all and she is wonderful!

Beyond Outstanding! Amanda, our server was impeccable. The food was delicious, the sauces perfectly balanced and pasta PERFECT. We enjoyed the perfect meal: calamari, wedding soup, rigatoni with sausage in a pink cream sauce and seafood pasta served with perfect linguini. My Negroni in a martini glass topped off the most perfect dining experience. The atmosphere was dark, cozy and very meticulous. Lots of pride in ownership and it is VERY apparent. Bravo!

An absolute delight. Had a wonderful anniversary dinner, Tuscany did not disappoint. Our Server Adele met us with a candle lit table and a cute anniversary sign on the table. A friend and I went to Tuscany Bistro on a Saturday night and we were pleased from the start! We were originally sitting next to a 5 top circular table with loud and disrespectful people. We told our waiter Brandon (Who was amazing!) that we didn't enjoy where we were sitting. Brandon was our server and did an absolutely wonderful job catering to our evening. I enjoyed the calamari with a sweet and sour sauce instead of the marinara that really hit the spot. My partner had the bruschetta Toscana which she devoured, plus the fresh bread with garlic olive oil was full of flavor and did not disappoint!
I enjoyed some of the best lasagna of all time at this spot, as did my partner with the gamberi veneziana pasta was so full of flavor and might have been the best authentic Italian food of 2025 we’ve had the pleasure to enjoy. We came later in the evening so the atmosphere was romantic and cozy to enjoy ourselves in this classy and peaceful hidden gem. Can’t wait to return again soon!

I think the cook dropped a container of salt on my food. I have been drinking water for 3 hours now and my mouth is still dry. New Bartenderess is efficient, cordial, and very attentive. Normally, they have good food, but I will ask to add my own salt next time. The mashed potatoes do not resemble anything close to a potato. Stick with pasta and pizza, you will be happy.

I have a little bit of insider info on this place, and it's all good news. I have done both HVAC and Refrigeration practically my whole life so I have worked in many restaurant kitchens. Tuscany Bistro has the most clean & professional commercial kitchen I have ever serviced in my life. Because of my work experience here, my wife and I decided to give them a shot about a year ago, and they quickly become a favorite us. We haven't been served a single dish by Tuscany Bistro that wasn't the image of perfection. Today we started out with the Fried Ravioli that is served with a house made red sauce. We ate every last piece and the sauce was so good I could drink it. We both got the Italian Wedding Soup which I am quite familiar with and it was some of the best Italian wedding soup I have ever had, and it was served with fresh italian rolls with the very best garlic infused olive oil. My wife got Gnocchi Dello Chef which was served with a house made red sauce. The gnocchi was cooked to perfection and the house sauce was bold and flavorful. I got the Truffle Ravioli that was served with a white mushroom sauce, prosciutto chips and a beautiful garnish. It was one of the best dishes I have ever had in my life and I'm telling you I would happily pay $100 for another plate it was so good. The sauce was sweet and rich. The ravioli was packed with truffles and had a rich flavor. The prosciutto chips were crisp and delicious. All of this and I haven't even mentioned the service! Which was also top notch. We were seated in the bar and our waitress was still able to give us everything we needed in a timely manner while still taking care of everyone seated at the bar. 10/10 we highly recommend. Keep up the great work, Theresa and team!

05/09/25 Update: Zachary is the best waiter in the whole world and absolutely deserves a raise! We will be tipping extraordinarily well.

We dine here about four times a year because it is a (relatively) convenient meeting place that is about 45 minutes away from each of us. Needless to say, the food is good because we have been doing this for four years now. Favorites are lasagna, house salad and the outstanding bread before dinner with olive oil, garlic and other seasonings. The dessert menu seems to feature a lot of cheesecake (and tiramisu) but we have rarely tried it. I may have tried the "special" creme brulee this last visit but they had run out. Service is generally friendly and, since we meet our friends only occasionally, they have been patient with us when we have stayed two hours or more. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge at times but we've always been able to find a place somewhere.

Our most recent visit was the Saturday before Easter and, for the first time, it fell short of expectations. This was probably the quietest night we have experienced at Tuscany - we presume people were forgoing dinner out before having Easter brunch the next day. Perhaps staffing was short because drinks took a long time to be delivered. There were empty tables around us, but we were reminded by our server that our table was needed for their next reservation right at 7:00 (we arrived at 5:30) and by a manager two minutes later. As we left, we noticed an open table right next to us so the rush out the door felt rather off-putting.

The lasagna is a generous serving so my wife and I decided to share it for dinner. We asked the server if there was a sharing charge (I believe she said a "couple" dollars; it was actually $4.00). With the extra charge, we thought they might give us an extra salad or perhaps split the lasagna in the kitchen. All we got for our $4.00 was an extra plate so we could split it ourselves.

One final note: they now add a 4% credit card surcharge to the bill which is not uncommon these days although the percentage is on the high side compared to other places we go to.

Walked in at 7pm on a Saturday without reservations. We waited for a table and the hostess checked in on us a couple of times with updates and then we were shown to our table.

The violet martini was lovely.

I ordered two apps in lieu of an app/entree and my partner ordered the linguine and clams. Our server Zackery delivered our complicate order seamlessly. Each of us had hot food without making the other wait. Zackery had two large tables he was attending to and made everyone in his section feel welcome and appreciated. He took care of everyone effortlessly.

As an Executive Chef and an instructor of cooking classes, I am happy to report this was the best bowl of mussels I have ever been served. My partner's linguine and clams were perfectly cooked, well seasoned and delicious.

Highly recommend Tuscany, we will certainly be back.

This place is incredible. 10 out of 10. Just go eat there. I would normally try to leave a more detailed review than this, but I would be here for at least a half hour explaining everything they did right. Just go and eat some shrimp and mushroom linguine with an excellent yet still affordable glass of wine. And enjoy your leftovers the next day, because you will have plenty.

My only complaint would be that if you serve a charcuterie board for three people, there should be three pieces of bread, not two. But you brought extra as soon as asked, so no harm no foul.

Had a very interesting experience while there. Reservations were for 4 PM on a Saturday. We arrived a little early, and they weren't open yet. We stood by the door a couple of minutes, and the hostess opened the door. She took us to our table immediately. We had only been sitting a few minutes, whe a group of 5 came in and the one woman was not very pleasant. She started complaining as soon as she came in the door about not having enough room and wanted to be moved. The hostess told her that they couldn't be moved because of the tables being full already, but she still insisted 3 or 4 more times. Our hostess apologized several times and even came out to the parking lot to apologize again. I told her it wasn't her fault and we left. We thought they handled the situation very well. Very rude wait staff, poor food quality, manager was very unprofessional, packed in like sardines, very rushed to eat and leave, we were very disappointed. We were there celebrating 2 birthdays we weren’t even offered a piece of cake or anything. They had us jammed in the restaurant together like sardines. Our party had 3 disabled people we were so stuck together we could barely move. I personally ended up getting hit in the back of the head by someone trying to cut thru to get to there seat. Mussels for appetizer were salty. Wish the head chef checked the broth first. Caesar salads were fantastic! Truly tasteful homemade dressing. Oil mix for bread dipping was also amazing. We visited the restaurant on Saturday and were probably one of the first guests of the day since it was 4:15 and they opened at 4. We were asked if we had reservations to which we said no so we were offered a table in the bar or on the patio. Bar seating we had to be out by 6:30, they made sure we were aware. We had some where to be so that wasn’t a problem. We ordered our meal, no appetizer just a piece of lasagna to split…1 piece. The bread and salad came out quick. Then the lasagna took its time, maybe they were hand rolling the pasta. But seemed like they were trying to keep us there u til 6:30. Finally it came and was on a plate and and we were given two plates, so we split if ourselves and ate what we could. Then we got the bill and noticed that we were charged $4 for our efforts in splitting our own meal. I didn’t see on the menu a notice of a charge to split food either. I’m not worried about the charge really it was just the whole experience, made us not feel welcomed.

It was our first time dining in tonight and it won’t be our last. We were treated warmly at the door and were taken to our table. The hostess was very helpful with carrying over a high chair and moving a chair out of the way. The establishment was very clean, I’m a person that always checks for dust and debris on fans, knickknacks etc. to get a feeling of how clean they keep everything. Our waitress was Lori, she was very sweet, always kept my drink filled and always made sure that we were taken care of. I especially like that the kitchen was able to make an accommodation for my food allergy. I am not able to eat chicken but I did want Marsala. They were able to make a chicken Marsala without chicken for me and it tasted amazing still. At the end, they had buttermints which I love. I’m so happy I finally tried this place.

Absolutely wonderful spot. We actually ate here two nights in a row while visiting the Bristol ren Faire because the first night was so good we wanted to try other parts of the menu which were even better.

This is a spot that you can either do casual or very formal; the menu runs the gamut from incredible pizza (that's reasonably priced) to super high end specialty Italian meals, with a cocktail list to boot.

Going four stars on the food only because I think it should be very, very hard to hit that tip-top mark and not *all four* of the dishes my wife and I had got there, but the lasagna and pizza we ordered were absolutely five-star meals. Will go again any time we're nearby.

I had their salmon special this last Thursday, and it was probably the best salmon I have ever had! It was crusted with herbs and lemon and was moist and tender. Just perfect! The classico chianti was excellent.

Privately owned Italian restaurant. Not a chain and the best surprise in Kenosha!! Every dish was so delicious. Platter of calamari shrimp - stuffed mushrooms- Marsala dishes amazing. Veal parm, lamp chops. Best part was Anita who was our waitress and takes pride in working here. Yum yum. We met friends half way who were in Milwaukee. What a find!

There are quite a few Italian restaurants in SE Wisconsin. Most are family style and great for families. However, I feel Tuscany Bistro is a step up from "traditional" Italian without being over the top by striking a great balance. Every time I eat here, I always have a satisfying experience without breaking the bank.

Usually do not write reviews but this experience deserves one. Went in for a few drinks at happy hour to celebrate a birthday with our family. The bartender (older, blonde lady) was the rudest I’ve ever witnessed. She completely acted like she did not want us to be there or to serve us as paying customers. We closed out to take our service else where which she saluted us as we walked out. We were not unruly or disrespectful at all. Will never go back to this establishment again and we are in town often. What a terrible experience.

5/18/2024 Sims family was there to celebrate a late Mothers day. Our waiter was Zachary, who was very professional, knew his job to the "T". Hard worker and very attentive to all his tables. House salad was OK. The garlic in the dipping sauce was like the kind found in jars at a grocery store and off putting. Lasagna was microwaved (burnt edges and cold, steaming hot center) and watery lacking flavor and falling apart on the plate. Sauce was OK, but lacked flavor. Bread was something you would expect at a low-end restaurant. Took 45 minutes to get the meal.The bill was $50 with tip for one person. I would like to help them by chatting with the chef to remedy the Lasagna at least, I know I could improve it.

I hardly ever write bad reviews, but this place deserves one.
First of all, do yourself a favor and don't order pizza from this place.

Our waitress inexplicably had a dismissive attitude with us, several times.

We had to ask for our water twice and then she got our simple order wrong. We asked for red peppers to be added to their gourmet sausage pizza. We received a cheese pizza with red peppers on it. Okay, so anybody can make a mistake.

When we asked them to remake the pizza, she offered to bring extra sausage on the side and suggested we could just put it onto the pizza.

The pizza was terrible thin-crust pizza anyway.

We asked to speak with the manager. When she came over, she was not very empathetic for our situation and she said that they were having a shortage and staffing that evening.

Let me point out that another waiter (pleasant young guy with curly brown hair) had actually come to us and asked if we had been taken care of, because he noticed that we had been sitting there for a while and did not have any water.

My friend had ordered a drink, and he believed that our entire meal should be comped and we just wanted to leave. The manager said he had to pay for his drink (which I don't necessarily have a problem with) but she was very transactional and not very customer-oriented about her approach.

It was a $7 drink and I hope that the $7 were worth them receiving this bad review.

The place seems like it has a big menu and the other food (like pastas) looked good, but the poor treatment that we received deserves this review.

Normally I give 4 and 5 star reviews and it's hard to write this one.

The waitress was negative and was sloppy. Watching another server, he was 200% better. Our waitress failed to fill our water glasses, brought the wrong order and when asked to fix, her response was sloppy. The manager has similar poor customer service and we felt it was best to leave.

The atmosphere would be the best part but we will not come back.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks on a Monday night after work. I sat at the bar, which had a couple of open seats when I arrived. Shortly after, the place was packed. Keep in mind that this is a Monday. They were severely understaffed in the bar area as the bartender is responsible for serving guests at the bar, guests at the tables around the bar, and all the drinks the waitstaff rings in fir the restaurant. Hard to point blame here as I'm sure no one was expecting this on a Monday night. Anita (bartender) was a rock star. I felt so bad for her, but she did an amazing job for the situation. I didn't want to make matters worse by ordering food, But I will next time as the food I saw did look pretty good.

Did not expect such an upscale restaurant to be located at the end of a small strip mall, but it was a pleasant surprise. A fancy Italian joint (with prices to match) that was well worth the visit. The food was delicious, especially the warm bread and melted garlic butter/oil. The service was great. Checking in with impeccable timing and the ability to chit chat a bit was appreciated. Met my son and his wife here for dinner the Saturday before Valentine’s Day. It was busy but there were quite a few empty tables. Our waiter came to take our drink order and looked rather irritated that my husband and son only ordered an iced tea. We decided against the “specials” and ordered pasta dishes, filet and blackened salmon. As I explained to our waiter I have a dairy allergy he literally rolled his eyes. My daughter-in-law asked what side dishes came with our entrees and since one of them was mashed potatoes, I said I didn’t think I’d be able to eat that. He said, “of course not, you’ll get double vegetables” and he walked away. Dinner was fair. My daughter-in-law’s filet was no where close the medium she ordered, it was closer to rare. My son’s pasta was hard on the top as if it was under the heat lamp for a while. We paid our bill and sat for a few minutes when some staff member came and asked us to leave since we were finished.They said they had people waiting. We left quickly but saw no one in line on the way out. Since we were from out of town, we will most likely never return. My son felt badly for taking us here with such a bad experience.

We've now been here on several occasions after our was highly recommended by a chef I know.

On each occasion the food was fabulous, the service impeccable, and the ambiance is perfect inside.

On our most recent visit I ordered the rack of lamb and it was one of the best I've ever tried, and my wife ordered the linguine pescarore that was overflowing with all kinds of seafood and which she absolutely loved.

We live 25 - 30 minutes away and we happily pass many other Italian restaurants on our way here.

If you are looking for high quality Italian, I wholeheartedly recommend Tuscany Bistro!

On the night of my mothers birthday, my stepfather, mother, and I travelled here in search of a mere meal, yet we were welcomed in like family and treated as such. The staff had gotten flowers for my mother (thank you Teresa and Anita!) As well as a sign saying "Happy Birthday". Our server Andryana was very attentive to our needs and provided everything in a timely manner while also engaging in respectful banter. Our pre meal salads and soup were superb, a beautiful introduction to what awaited us. I had the Linguine Carbonara, an absolutely exquisute, creamy, rustic pasta dish with elements of garlic and pepper. I would urge all and any to travel here to peruse the menu and have a drink or two. 5 stars, would highly reccomend and will definitely return for more delicuous food and everlasting memories.

First of all, I have to give props to Zachary. This gentleman had to have been a cyborg! The amount of ground he covered when we were there, he probably would have completed a marathon. Very knowledgeable, about the cuisine served and the area the cuisine originated in Italy. My great grandparents came from Sicily, Palermo to be exact, and the food was much different than northern Italy. That being said, it's all good, 🤌gabito???

My wife had the linguine and white wine sauce with the scallops, shrimp, muscles, clams plus a 7 oz lobster tail. And of course the side salad. I had the spicy Italian sausage with the al dente pasta. It's nice to go to a place that knows how to cook the pasta without turning it into mush. I grew up eating sweet sausage, neck bones, and the rich tomato sauce cooked for about 8 hours, The fresh mozzarella, scamorts, parmesan, asiago, gagouts and mushrooms with pasta. And was drinking wine before I was 13. It's interesting how Italy is so different in it's food offerings from one end to the other, but it's all delicious! They treat you like family, te amo familia!

So glad the bf was craving salad last night. I randomly found this place by searching "best salad restaurants near Wadsworth IL" We both were very happy with everything we tried, from drinks (chocolate martini and sugar cookie martini) to the app (bruschetta) and both meals (Tuna salad Adriatica and Truffle ravioli). The service was excellent! Food was also very good. Started with some warm rolls and oil that was very good. Then came the salad which was a little plain but still tasted good. Next was the fried ravioli also tasted great then the meal I had the lobster ravioli and my fiancé had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken both dishes tasted amazing the portion size was alittle small for cost of the plate but that was only for the ravioli the fettuccine was more than enough. I was still full with all the other food that came out before the entrée. The atmosphere was a little loud but I could still here my fiancée and it made you feel like you where in Italy with the interior decor. It was a great experience, great food, great service, and great atmosphere I would highly recommend it as a date night or place to go eat.
