We had a party of 8 on a Saturday night (5 pm with reservations). We were seated promptly and attended to quickly but without feeling rushed. Food was very good and appreciated the wide range of choices on the menu. A mistake was made in our order, and the staff quickly rectified it, and without us asking, it was offered to adjust our bill accordingly. We will definitely be visiting again to try some of the other menu offerings. Cocktails were very good as well!

The food is unique but my experiences with the pasta is that it's bland. The ingredients are great! Just not seasoned. The tables inside were bare, no salt & pepper, no condiments unless you ask for them. The drinks are really good! Atmosphere is good. The patio is beautiful and quaint. I absolutely LOVE that there is a steak option on the kids menu! Steak is my daughter's favorite food! And it's not chicken nuggets!!! We had a 10/10 experience at Twisted Flame. We went here for a bachelorette dinner and the service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a large group dinner and hope to come back!

I have had many great meals here , but tonight I was at a community event with the Twisted Fire pizza truck. The pizza was excellent and Halden and crew were so friendly and hard working, they really helped make the event perfect. We booked a wedding rehearsal dinner with Twisted Fire for 30 people. Madison (events coordinator) was very helpful. The waitress was very good as well. The food was good. The problem was the atmosphere. We used the front room space and 30 BARELY fit. It was difficult to get up and socialize. My 2nd issue was the amount of time it took to get the food out. We waited well over an hour for food to get to our table. So if you are planning an event dinner 30 people is too many for the inside front area. Plus you are in the general seating area and it is loud. Our server also had other tables to wait on, so I don't know if they were short on help but she did the best she could considering we were a big group.

Twisted Fire is the place for your private event! We co-hosted a bridal shower for 44 ladies this past weekend. Halden and Madison were a pleasure to work with... every step of the way in planning and execution they were on top of it! They allowed us to enter to decorate early (without an additional fee) and every small request was met with a smile. The bride to be was beyond delighted! We served 4 types of pizza, two salad offerings, soft drinks, sparkling wine and cake. Every bite was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great party.

The venue was really nice. Plenty of seating and different areas like regular dining room, bar, and kitchen views to choose when making a reservation.

This was a great experience! Me and my family went in not knowing what to expect, but it was amazing. The service was GREAT. The manager came out and apologized for a 3 minute wait - like what? Our waiter went above and beyond with his care, and even gave us a free dessert because the food took a little long. The food… do I even need to explain? AMAZING. Wonderful service, good food, and good drinks. Only complaint was the pasta in the Mushroom Alfredo was starchy and less than el dente. They were nice about trying to fix it, but you can't really boil the noodles more once the sauce is on it. Both our appetizers were delicious: Crab Cakes and the Honey Siracha Grilled Shrimp with Pineapple! My husband's Pistachio Crusted Lamb Chops were also delish!!! They nicely substituted a salad for the veggies. Had Pumpkin Creme Brulee for dessert..yum! We will be back! Thank you❤️

We really enjoyed our meal at Twisted Fire. We ordered the special pizza and a Caesar salad and both were made with fresh ingredients and were delicious. Our waitress helped lead me to a yummy IPA (we're not local) and the owner came out and greeted us and made sure everything was going well which it was! We held our son's rehearsal dinner here Friday night (9/20) and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The table presentation with dinner selection cards, knowing where the bride and groom sat so they could be served first were just little details that made the entire experience wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was served in a timely manner.The wait staff was attentive and did a phenomenal job.

My husband and I finally stopped in to try this restaurant for the first time. I gotta say I'm leaning more towards negative than positive. I ordered the steak and fries. At these prices you should be able to get a steak how you want. It's not like the steak comes in one piece. It comes in small medallion pieces (5 or 6). I ordered it medium, which means a little pink in the middle. I wish I would've taken a picture of what the chef cooked. I received steak that was seared on the outside and raw inside. I showed the waitress (Emily) and sent it back to be cooked some more. They added more fries and put it all on a new plate, which the waitress stood there and patiently waited until it was finished. The second time I received my order wasn't any better. The steak was still raw, but the general manager had come to the table and apologized and asked if I wanted a new steak. I was hungry and it was getting close to closing time, so I said no and ate what was on my plate anyway. The waitress also saw what was on my plate the second time as well. My husband and I were very disappointed with the steak being undercooked twice. We did get a free dessert 😆 their way of an apology. It would've been better if my order was taken off the bill, considering it was screwed up twice. One screw up, fine give me a free dessert. But screwing up twice c'mon seriously. Kudos to Emily for being such a great waitress, apology was not necessary from her. Everything else was good and we will be returning in the future because there are other things on the menu that I would like to try. Don't think I will order steak again, which is a shame because it's very good tenderloin medallions. The bill, with the tip was $75. I've had much better meals for that price tag. I would recommend this restaurant, but stay away from the steak until they hire a competent chef. My husband wasn't pleased with the portion size of the meal that he ordered, so he was still hungry when we left. But he said it was good. He's also used to eating a lot more than what he got, so that's not saying much either.

I had a group of 12 for lunch following the burial of my wife. When I called to make a reservation, they told me they were closed on Tuesday. When I told Abby the reason for the reservation, she called her boss to see if we could be accommodated. They called me back and said they would open for us. How many places will do that ? Not many, I would guess. The food was fantastic. My grandchildren and also my children have no problem ordering every appetizer on the menu when I’m paying for it. They were all fantastic! The entrées were also terrific. From grilled salmon to steak With mushroom risotto, they were all exceptional. Personally, I would recommend a steak sandwich. Not only are they compassionate enough to help someone out, they also provided great service and outstanding food. You need to try this place.

I will say I was so impressed with the amount of gluten free options available! Love how it is clearly marked as well. However, I got the Alfredo with mushroom and spinach and the gluten free version was not good at all. The GF pasta was way over cooked so it had a consistency not too far from mashed potatoes, so mushy. But I will add that my family really enjoyed their “gluten full” foods and would definitely come back again. I would just try another gluten free option if I came back. Overall, I’m still really impressed with the place. The staff was super kind as well.

First time here with some friends (who had been here before). I gave it a 4 star overall, but based on the food quality, that might be generous.

Had 5:30 reservations, and got right in. The server greeted us right away. Super friendly and helpful (thanks Anthony). A couple of us weren't sure about a beer selection, so they brought us out samples. Glad we did because it would have been a bad choice. Some of use ordered the Red Sangria. I have lots of Sangrias and this one was both bland, and not sweet enough.

We ordered the Cheese Curds. They came out quickly and were hot. Unfortunately, they were also very greasy. Two of us got salads and the others ordered the pizzas. Overall the food preparation was not good. Both of the pizzas were not cooked enough. The toppings were fine, but the crust was too soft and undercooked. (much better at home reheated on a pizza stone). The salads (Harvest and Twisted Cobb) were okay. Lacking attention to detail on some of the items (the dried figs, were cut into smaller pieces, but still had the small stemmed attached).

I really wanted to like this place. The menu looked very interesting with lots of items that I would definitely order. Too bad that my first time there was so disappointing. :(

Our dinner was overall average. The cooks were skilled. The food was delicious. Music was inaudible. The service left much to be desired. Our server’s name began with “P”. Every touch point was awkwardly timed. She began her sentence while approaching and ended it while walking away. She delivered our appetizer plates late and then delivered the pita bread that is supposed to accompany the Greek flaming cheese dish when we were nearly finished with it. The words she chose showed little regard for the effort put into each dish. I had asked about a specific dessert early on showing interest in it. After our entree. She simply asked if we were all set. I had to remind her that we’d like to order dessert. It was as if she saw no correlation between how much we ordered and her pay (which is a direct commission in the form of a tip). The steak and fries as well as the steak and mushroom risotto were delicious. We requested medium rare. Both were closer to rare but did not disappoint. We finished with the baklava ice cream cake which was brilliant. Because the food was so good I would go back. A little hospitality coaching could probably double our server’s income and would certainly earn 4 or 5 stars from me.

Twisted Fire is my family's go-to restaurant in Oconomowoc. We go 1-2 times a month. We've always very happy with the food and the service.

They've got some very skilled bartenders. We typically go with the old-fashioned.

They have a good variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrés. Everything always tastes great, and the portion sizes are very fair. My favorites are the Sweet Chili Steak Bites, and Cranberry Apple salad. My wife usually gets the Steak and Fries. Their fries are really well-seasoned. When we take our kids, they always find something they enjoy as well.

Atmosphere is comfortable and private. Whether you sit in the bar area, dining room, or outside, it's always a good experience.

Finally, the waitstaff is always knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.

Love going to this place for a good dinner. Chose to go here for my birthday dinner, and much like previous visits, dinner did not disappoint. Scallops with mushroom risotto and asparagus was fantastic. Dad had lasagna, also delicious. Topped off with the brownie (to go). Worth the expense.

Wings were subpar. Not much sauce and only received 8 small wings for $14. Also ordered the truffle fries and those too barely had any cheese on it. The food was not worth it. Would definitely not get either of those items.

My husband and I love this place. I’ve tried several things on the menu, but keep coming back to these two: the Souvlaki and the Avocado Feta Salad. I get both and then make perfect little bites on the pita bread with some tzatziki. The flavor combo of these two dishes is INCREDIBLE.

I do think it’s worth it to get the full small plate instead of just adding the meat to the salad. Getting the bread, olives, and tzatziki take this salad to a whole new level. …And ensures you have enough to enjoy for lunch the next day.

This place and these dishes are must-tries.

The avocado feta salad with steak on top is the best salad I’ve ever had. I keep going back and ordering it this over and over and it’s consistently delicious. The sweet chili steak bites are also equally delicious. The chef here makes all his own sauces and they are phenomenal.

We had dinner at Twisted Fire for the first time this week and were so impressed. Our server, Anthony, was fantastic and the food was delicious! The cheese curds had a light, flaky batter and melted in our mouths. The pizzas were stone fired to perfection and the homemade pastas were worth every carb. We highly recommend visiting Twisted Fire!

It was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you, so you will leave with a massive headache!
The server was MIA, steak was dry as a bone, Risotto was subpar (made with water most likely and severely lacked flavor).

Our first date night after the holidays. Choose twisted fire to try. Was not let down at all. We had as an appetizer the flatbread ith marinara. Was quite a well executed dish. Excellent marinara and the bread was the perfect dipping instrument. I ordered the blackened shrimp and grits, my GF had the filet. Both dishes were delicious. The filet was served perfect. The wood did impart flavor into the filet. The grits were the perfect consistency. Combined with the rest of the dish and it was a powerhouse.

Amazing food, really odd decor. The food was amazing. Every dish served to our group was tasty and interesting. I had wood grilled shrimp with grits. A very nice blend of flavors. The shrimp was perfectly done. Go there now before they redo the interior and double their menu prices.

The stark black and white interior color scheme is a mash up of mid century industrial, post modern impressionist, and 20th century diner? IMY Whatever they were going for didnt work. It's not elegant, tries but fails at being minimialist, and doesn't warm up enough to feel inviting.

Ordered the seafood platter with what was called a salmon steak, swordfish steak and scallops. Comes with mushroom risotto. Unfortunately they weren't steaks, but more like 3 bites of each fish. Risotto was crunchy and lacked flavor. Then dove into my scallop and found it to be undercooked. Very overpriced for the amount of food served. The only saving grace was our wonderful server. Will not be going back for the free Friday e-coli special.
