Food was delicious but the server never came back to our table until she presented the bill. My husband was missing the "au jus" that was supposed to come with his sandwich. He did dip his sandwich in the onion soup. Our coffee cups stayed empty. She never came back to check if everything was ok or if we needed anything. We wanted to pay with cash, but she dropped off the transaction machine which only allowed a card transaction.

Honestly the food was horrible. I was so disappointed. The chicken was chewy and tasted horrible. The fries were soggy, cold, and not good. Website is terrible, doesn't even show you the prices of a slice of cake let alone any of the donuts they offer (only shows 2 danish and a dozen assorted donuts under the Donuts/danish category). Walk in the door and immediately the worker asks if I know what I want to order.. I just walked in the door, let me look around and not hover about me while I look. We were the only 2 customers in the store and then they hound us to order then she continues to tell us to "take your time to look" like she had anywhere else to be or in such a hurry to serve 40 others. They stare at you as you take a sample from the tray like you are a disgrace for taking one. Manderfields is better experience and better taste without the extra criticism and hounding to order faster.

I unfortunately had to deduct a 🌟 I absolutely love this place and have had many things from thier bakery. Yesterday on a whim I was craving a sweet so my husband and I took a drive over there where I decided I was going to try a cupcake. Well when I got home and bit into my cupcake the cake itself was so hard and inedible. I was super sad about it. Not sure if they were made days prior and got stale but the buttercream frosting was the only edible part of the cupcake. I will definitely still be back to Uncle Mike's for kringles, donuts and bread but I still felt like this is something they should know. Im sure if I was there they would've given me something different but I was already all the way at home in my pj's.

I have been to Uncle Mike's for a few work meetings and customer meetings for lunch. It has been a great experience every time. The food is super fresh, always delicious, and they have great coffee options too! It is quiet enough for a work meeting, but also a fun atmosphere for getting together with friends. You get a free cookie at the end of your meal too!

Overall I think everything there is over priced. Think paying close to $30 for one Cherry pie. I will give you that cherries are expensive. $3.67 for a mini ice cream bowl. Say it was very good and had fresh ingredients. Today I had to wait it seems like ten minutes before someone saw me. Not this time I bought a rhubarb crisp for around $14. The crust was so hard it was hard to get a piece out. In the end I had to throw it out.

Uncle Mike’s Food Emporium is a fantastic discovery during my stay in Appleton! Here for a 10 day job wished it was longer so I could indulge in more of the delicious foods!
I say foods because they have the most amazing bakery. The Kringle pastry comes in an array of flavors from pecans to fruit with creamy centers and delicious icing. Plus brownies, cookies, donuts… plus fresh baked breads and the best olive oil which if you purchase a bottle you can bring it back for a discounted refill! Oh did I say you get to sample all of this!
Plus, they have a lovely restaurant with from scratch meals burger or chicken breast sandwich with truffle fries, salads and French onion soup to die for. List goes on Pizza buffet on Monday nights and brunch on Sunday with entertainment. Who knew on our travel around the country we would find such a gem 💎 in the heart of the Midwest.

I stopped here with my children when we were in Appleton. The selection of products is amazing. I also loved the variety of samples they have available. It was really nice to be able to sample the kringles to know the flavor you picked was yummy. We got the red, white, and blue kringle. It is so good!

My boys each got to pick a special treat after they had great reports from their dentist. (I know a sugary reward, lol.)

They got a donut, a carrot cake cupcake, and a butterfly cookie. All were also amazing. The cookie had some of the best frosting I have had store bought. It was light and fluffy not dense and overly sugary.

The worker that helped us was wonderful. She was patient and let us explore all the options.

We also got three take and bake pizzas. Our favorite was the sausage and mushroom pizza.

We will definitely be back the next time we are in Appleton!

Stopped yesterday for breakfast. Have never been here but have heard good things from others who have. The young lady who seated us was very pleasant. Soon Liz was there to get our beverages. As to what to get was not easy because of the choices available. Terri went with the Breakfast Burrito while I chose the Uncle Mike's omelet. They were heavenly!! The omelet was so fluffy!! The smoked bacon was excellent!! The seasoned potatoes were perfect!! Terri got the B(r)iscuits & Gravy. Smoked Brisket in the gravy was something I had never envisioned but it was incredibly delicious!! Loved the house coffee! No cream, sugar, pumps or squirts. Just coffee, black. Spot on!! Liz was very attentive and quite friendly. There was plenty to satisfy us and still take some home for our teenage son. We will definitely be back!!!

We were here once before. The food is great but service is a bit slow. The restaurant had many tables open but it took the young men setting up a table for us a while to decide where to set us. Then we waited for over 10 minutes before we got service and we had to ask someone if anyone was going to wait on us. We ordered drinks and were told it would be sometime because the bartender was alone and backed up. We got 3 drinks but my drink didn't come which was just a draft beer. My daughter had to ask the waitress where it was and turns out it was just sitting on the bar. Our Grandson ordered a lemonade but when he got it he noticed small black flecks in his drink. We had to ask for another one. The waitress was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. The food was good. We will probably return sometime.

Stopped in on Saturday evening over the Memorial Day weekend. Not busy at all yet we felt unwelcome, like we were an inconvenience to the staff at our arrival. No smiles or upbeat greetings.

The menu is on the smaller side with a few burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. The bar offerings/menu is bigger than the food menu. Did not see the soda options in my looking over the menu so I had to ask.There are drink menus offering specials and flights, again it feels they push the fancier drinks including alcohol.

Ruben was good but dry, needed some sort of condiment on it. Pizza was good. $3 for a soda, was afraid to ask for a refill because I was unsure if it would be an additional charge. Wasn't offered either so I didnt bother asking.

We stopped into the bakery side before leaving and the staff there seemed to have the same depressing demeanor. The café area garbage were overflowing.

Seems to have lost its appeal since first opening. Unsure if we will return as it is pricey for a family to eat here.

It is extremely rare that my family can all get together for a meal out and we were really looking forward to Easter brunch at Uncle Mike's. We got seated so close to the music that I could hardly hear anyone speak at my table which was a disappointment. The food, though, was the biggest disappointment. Multiple times we went up to try certain items and they were cold so they got left on the plates each time. The salad dressing was gone so I ate my salad without which is no big deal, but when you are paying such a large amount of money to eat a meal you expect to not have to eat a salad without dressing. The restaurant being cashless was also a disappointment as our family is definitely against supporting a cashless society. And although we were paying as one check, someone else in the family was going to cover the tip, but it had to be included on the cashless payment as a whole. Needless to say, we will never willingly return here to eat.

This bakery is both overwhelming and wonderful! The Kringle they make fresh comes in lots of flavors, bourbon pecan and lemon raspberry to name two. Both absolutely delicious!!! Sea salt carmel pecan is their signature but on this day raspberry lemon cheese, blueberry cheese, apple bourbon, strawberry cheese, cherry, and a few others were featured. Delicious! We bought 5! Last time it was 7. They freeze well.
A special shoutout to Tammy, the assistant manager who made our experience special. From explaining the history, complete with tour, to her personal suggestions, made the entire experience wonderful. When people love their work, it's contagious!

We didn't dine in as we stopped after eating dinner, but we did load up on sweets to take along (and back home to our kids). There was a large variety of goods aside from baked goods and sweets. That is a donut shop on way too much sugar....though it's so absolutely worth it! Go enjoy, indulge, and transcend to the, albeit momentarily, over-the-top experience of Uncle Mike's...be a happy neice or nephew.

4 of us went for Sunday brunch (We made reservations) Food was great! So many choices on the breakfast buffet. Live entertainment was a little hard to hear over all the people, but it was a nice touch. I'd definitely go back again.

Gluten free is very limited. They have frozen muffins and one flourless cake. Staff was not aware the flourless cake was gluten free. If you are looking for a bakery with gluten free, Manderfields or Tamara’s cake guru has many more options!

Been here quite a few times, just to buy bakery, but we finally decided to have lunch today, Mar.6.
Our server was Liz. She did a fantastic job serving us, along with smiles.
Food was absolutely Delishous, It was busy, and didn’t have to wait long for our food. Ordered 2 pizzas, two salads, cheese garlic bread, burger and fries
From Wausau, and plan on returning many more times.

SO glad we finally tried Uncle Mike's!!! Cute place! Outstanding service! (Liz!) Excellent food! (Donut burger & All American breakfast. ) Great prices! The bakery is unbelievable! Sooooo much stuff and several samples! Speaking of samples.....Smart to put your soap products in the bathrooms! I would never had bought the salt scrub on my own, but after using it in the bathroom, I HAD to have some!!!!

Ordered the spiced lemonade. Was not spiced at all. Tasted zero cinnamon or clove.

Ordered the California Salad-it said it came with California dates and toasted sesame seeds. Neither were included in the salad. The menu also said the salad came with honey-roasted garlic vinaigrette dressing. The salad was served dry and I had to ask for them to bring me the dressing.

It wasn’t packed/busy.

Was disappointed. My first time there and I was hoping it would be better.

I'm writing a review to support this small business. The bakery is great. The restaurant is good. If you're on the fence about going here after reading the reviews, consider this... As of my review, this location in Appleton had a 4.1 star rating (which to me is insanely low). By comparison, Uncle Mike's three locations in Green Bay have 4.8, 4.8, and 4.7 star ratings. That's more in line with what I experienced.

Don't let the hyper-opinionated keep you from visiting this place. The kringles are worth the visit alone.

We went for pizza and drinks and picked up breakfast on the way out. We’ve always loved Uncle Mike’s donuts, Kringle, and other sweet treats and can now say the wood fired pizza is worth a repeat. We will be back!

Service was great! Atmosphere was chic and cute. Food- is a great menu a lot of thought went into it, some things were decent specifically the pork nachos. But the sandwiches (ablt) and a (pb and j burger) both were incredibly disappointing. The pb j burger specifically was an oily greasy nightmare on a very dry roll with sharp hunks of nuts.. so many odd choices on a burger that just failed epicly short of 17 dollars….

Certainly would recommend getting some baked goods or some nachos, but hard pass on the food.

It is very busy ( as expected) since it’s brand new! The staff are doing their best. The kringles are phenomenal— my personal favorite is the cheese Kringle, simple, yet amazing. Their seasonal pumpkin spice scone is one of the best pumpkin spice pastry flavors I’ve ever tasted! The home made ice creams are also delicious. And they let you sample any flavor before you buy!
Update 2.14.2025- Friday night fish fry is amazing! Best Perch I’ve ever had! I’ve gotten it multiple times here! Love it! Wood fired pizzas are great, but def get the cheesy garlic sticks if you go!! 🤤

We had breakfast there this morning, tha avacado toas with poached egg, and my husband had the scrambled eggs bacon and toast. Both meals were delicious and had large portions, and neither of us could finish. We also had a sample of the Pringle. The bakery items looked so amazing that we actually went back tonight to get some cookies!

On both visits the service was fast and the staff were so nice and helpful.

The chicken wrap wasn’t good enough to eat. Just blah. Didn’t even take the leftovers home.
Kids pizza with cheese sticks very doughy, if that’s what your kids like. Adult pizza okay. For fire roasted, not very crispy and the sauce was extremely mild flavor. No drinks and lunch for 2 adults and child as $47.00. I guess I expect more for that price.

The food and drinks were great. There should be 2 bartenders Friday and Saturday nights. Way too busy for only one. The servers were also running around since it was so busy. I will come back in the future.
