I was in town on a business trip and a colleague and I found this place for lunch. We were really happy when we saw the menu online and even more pleased when we got there to see more DELISH choices.
It has a beautiful interior inviting and would be nice for a business dinner or date night or even a night out with friends for drinks...
We decided on the Thai bowl over cilantro lime rice and the hot honey pizza (dynamically different choice to split) But nonetheless still extraordinarily tasty... I would definitely choose the Thai bowl again.The mixture of flavor was amazing and the sauce over top, just perfectly completed the dish!!! Y-U-M.

My only wish is that I had one of these near me in Michigan.
Luis was our server and accommodated all of our needs and was attentive!

The best thing was ordering our gingerbread with caramel butter sauce dessert, I think I could have eaten 3 because it was so delicious but it was rich. So it was perfectly proportionate for even splitting - sooo good.

Would definitely suggest for anyone who's in town to make sure you make a stop here!!

HIGHLY recommend dining here!! Food was absolutely delicious; service was friendly, attentive and fast; atmosphere is perfect- whoever chose the decor did a phenomenal job!! We got the brisket mac&cheese which was flavorful and fresh, also got the Philly cheesesteak which was well-made. Portion sizes are large enough to share for sure! Potstickers appetizer was SO good- will definitely get those again. So many other things we want to try here, so we will definitely be back!!

Went for lunch on a Tuesday. Our waitress never asked if we wanted anything to drink besides water. Waitress took order soup,salad and 1/2 sandwich. Took over a half hour to get any food,there were only 2 of us. No salt or pepper at tables tried to ask waitress but she was in such a rush she didn't hear us. Many people around us complaining about slow service,a couple got up and walked out never receiving their food because it was taking to long. Food was good but service was not. Will not be going back anytime soon.

What do you get when you combine excellent service, welcoming surroundings, and fantastic food? You get Urban Modern Kitchen in Appleton. We were a combination of meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans and each one of our selections was top-notch. None of our requests phased the server or the kitchen folks. It's not that any of them were unreasonable, it's that some of the dishes still needed to be slightly authored to accommodate allergies and they did a superb job ensuring that what was served was still unbelievably tasty. We do not get the chance to visit Appleton too often, but we will definitely be back the next time we are there. Thank you for providing such a great experience for our mini family reunion!

It was good food we went for the LUNCH special. We had a big group party of 8. We were going to get charged the gratuity which we were told and we were fine with. But we noticed our waiter never came back. He brought one of the sandwiches A full sandwich didn't come back till the end to ask if were going to order anythingelse we didnt get to tell him about the full sandwich she only ate one half. when the tab came and we told them we all wanted lunch, he said, I asked everybody which he didn't. We tolld him from the beginning we're doing the lunch specials. We didn't even get refills on the soda. But at the end, when he brought the tab. Food, there is great but honestly. Their service lacks. I feel that because they knew they were getting the gratuity, they didn't have to work for their tip, which is unfortunate, because as good as the food is I don't know if I go back because they didn't make it right. He didn't even try to make it right.

I got a to go order of a taco salad here and the flavor was delicious but half of the togo box was filled with tortilla chips instead of salad. I expected tortilla strips on top and was very dissatisfied with the portion size of the salad especially for paying 20$ for it. Amazing tasting bowls and excellent service! I tried the Osaka Teriyaki bowl, my wife had the Mexi Bowl and both were fantastic. So many ingredients tossed together into a bowl I never thought would go together ended up delicious. We were very happy with the quality of the food, the quantity was plenty for a dinner and our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere inside was a few steps above casual, but not fancy enough to warrant dressing special or feeling out of place in shorts and tshirts. Will definitely be back to try more of their offerings.

Not the cheapest place, but this is a restaurant that is both hip and provides healthy dishes! We come here or the signature bowls, always with the quinoa base. My favorite bowl has plantains in it.

I can't say anything about the drinks, but I know I ordered a nacho appetizer once, and that was delicious.

The place is casual enough so you don't feel like you really have to dress up, but it is nice enough to take someone out for a date or to celebrate something.

Our first time here and NOT at all disappointed. The atmosphere is calm and collected. Definitely modern. Dark with a lot of natural light The menu is vast, and there are many options for a few different diet restrictions, gluten-free being one of them. The portion sizes were much larger than we anticipated they would be. Well worth the prices associated. I had the Greek Bowl, and my husband had the Cubano Panini. We both very much enjoyed our meals.
They have a large coctail/wine menu and also have NA options. PepsiCo is the soda company they use.

We will absolutely be back again, and absolutely recommend.

Went for a work related lunch, it was busyish...but nothing crazy. Both myself and my lunch partner ordered soup, seems pretty simple. I got the French onion, it was fine, she got the chicken tortilla and it came out just warm, sent it back, 20 minutes later it came out room temp, 3rd time it was steamy enough to eat. I dont know where to start. My wife and I are huge food critics and love to try new food. So we booked a reservation for Valentines Day and came early before the big rush.

We were seated in the back room with only one couple that was just seated and another couple that was leaving. The main room only had 3-4 tables of people so pretty empty but they said they were booked for the night and turning people away that didn’t have reservations.

Right away we were seated with menus. As we were waiting… The couple next to us that was seated right before us got drinks within 5 min of being seated. Following that within 15 min of them being seated they got their food. During this time we still were waiting to order our drinks and food. 3 more couples showed up. One couple ordered an appetizer and the other two just ordered food. The one couple that ordered an appetizer received it pretty quickly and their food came out pretty fast after that too. The other couple received their food within 10 min. Both those tables received food before we even ordered drinks and all these couples came after us. 45 min goes by and all 3 couples that came in “After” us were served with the main course before us and we finally were able to order our drinks and food. Now as she was taking out drink order we said we’re ready for food too because we just didn’t want to wait any longer. We debated on just leaving many times in frustration because of the service. As we ordered she walked away as we were trying to order food. So an additional 15 min was added onto our wait to just get our drinks. As she came to drop off the drinks we asked for food. It took 20 min to get the food. The couple that was seated right before us was leaving right as we received our food. We waited a whole hour for food and drinks together which is completely unacceptable especially since we got in before it was packed. The food was ok, I can’t say it was the best but for the high reviews and great pictures from online it just didn’t match what we expected it to be from the reviews. I got the Hawaiian Poke which was really good by itself but the green seaweed, or that I think it was, was VERY fishy and ruined the dish. If the fishy taste was out of it I’d say it was a great bowl. My wife’s Louisiana bowl was very plain and didn’t bring much flavor to the dish. It needed seasons in the rice or salt badly. Over all we spent a total of 1 hour and 20 min at the restaurant and the 20 was with food alone. It was not the experience we wanted especially on Valentine’s Day. We rarely ever give bad reviews but this one kinda made one for itself. We felt we were forgotten multiple times through the night while others around us were being served and we were forgotten.

Great atmosphere and service. The first time I came, I dined in and the second time I did a take out. There is a good vegetarian selection and I would come back to try more options. The house made guacamole is excellent. On this recent trip I got the vegetarian pesto pasta and the chips and guacamole. The pesto didn’t have any pecans or red peppers as advertised on the menu and the flavor was just ok. The staff were all kind and helpful. They told me about vegetarian dessert options which I plan on trying on the next trip.

From the moment you walk in you’re already drawn in by both the aesthetic and overall vibe. The Signature Bowls offer an array of options ranging from Asian, Mexican, Italian, Greek…each bowl is authentic to each cuisine, then elevated with their own signature touch. If I had take out only, the rating would be significantly higher, BUT we had dinner in the restaurant. The service was marginal, the presentation would be categorized as "Prison Presentation."

I small metal tray with the food jammed together on it. The presentation of food does not match the quality and taste of the meal.

The beer list is a not tap but canned beer. It was presented as though it was a fine bottle of wine. Quite the conflicted atmosphere.

I got a poke bowl, and it was delish. Really good, and I'd get one again! I asked for extra sauce on the side, it came on top, and it was a LOT. That was my only complaint about that, but taste was great.
The price for the bowl, IMO is way too much, too. $18 for a basic poke bowl, yikes!
The restaurant itself is a little confused with dated floors and layout, but they are trying to be modern with some of the styling. If they could figure that out, I think it could be a great spot.

The 1st time we tried this place, we had to leave. Only 1 person was working. 2nd time was disappointed. The food was ok. I was seated with the afternoon sun in my face in an uncomfortable chair. The service this time was fantastic. I won't go back. Sorry.

Very good mix of food styles and dietary options, good service and a nice place. I had a bowl (the Cajun bowl with rice) and my guest had the tacos. Both were well portioned and taste great. It is on the pricier side, but it does not seem overpriced for what you’re getting. Looking forward to trying other dishes there.

Food was excellent. I had a Louisiana Bowl. My waiter, Georgia was friendly and funny. Food came out quickly despite it being fairly busy. Will definitely be back!

This place is very handicap friendly. Went in the bathroom with crutches no problem staff friendly took care of us but didn't bother us and food was very good definitely full afterwards. Great job guys

We stopped in here for some lunch. After we were seated it was almost 10 minutes before a server came to our table. I ordered a glass of pinot noir and he was very confused. After telling him 3 times I had to show him on the drink menu. We also ordered food right away. About 10 minutes later our food came out and we still had no drinks. I asked if our drinks were coming and he again seemed confused. Also my food was wrong. He took it back and they remade it. Still no drinks though. We had half of our food gone and finally got our drinks. But I got a white wine instead of pinot noir. I was almost done eating when he brought me the right wine. The food was ok but it was the worst service ever. I will not be eating here again.

I was dining alone and found this restaurant online. I took a seat at the bar and was immediately greeted. Excellent margarita and meal. I ordered the trio of tacos. Delicious. Great service, good crowd and ambiance. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were excited to try a new place. We checked out the reviews and FB page before entering. All looked very positive. I ordered the $18 Mac n cheese and my husband ordered a $15 Spicy Italian sandwich. His sandwich was mediocre at best. My Mac n cheese was horrible!! I would give it a 0 if possible. I couldn't believe what I was served! ESPECIALLY seeing it was $18! I have never written a review about a restaurant but this definitely warrented a review. I asked for the Mac n cheese with brisket and no red peppers or onions. The waitress brought out my dish with onions and red peppers. Ok that's one thing but it was like cheese soup with very mushy noodles. The waitress returned to the table a good 15 minutes later. I mentioned the onions and red peppers and all she could say was, well that's how they prepared it. I reminded her that I ordered it without and she just said, well I wrote it down that's just how they made it. Later she brought the check and offered take off the 1 soda that I had ordered . KEEP IN MIND THE DISH WAS $18!!!!! If it was good Mac n Cheese I would be totally fine paying the price. She handed me the check and said, oh and I should have checked earlier but the Mac n cheese comes in already made so we couldn't take out the red peppers.
SO why was there still onions on it and did I seriously pay $18 for Mac n cheese out of a bag!! Wow this place really sucked. Would not recommend to my worse enemy

Excellent food, however the service and atmosphere need some major improvements. First, the waitress was very slow to approach our table after we were seated, and seemed distracted by a large table that was having a lunch in a side room. She completely forgot our drinks, offered no refill on our waters, and then, when we did see her again and she presented us our bill, she attempted to bill us for our soda, which were never received. She also brought out an insanely small to go container for a large sandwich which had to basically be smashed into the box. The music playing the entire time was some type of elevator music, which seemed off for such a beautifully decorated restaurant. All in all, probably will not revisit as the service received left a bad first impression.

What a great place to find interesting and tasty food! We were in the area for a Bears/Packers game and were looking for a unique place to eat. We ordered the Thai Bowl and the Dominican Tropical Bowl, along with the Potsticker (fried dumplings) appetizer. It was all VERY GOOD, along with stellar service. What a great gem in Appleton! We'll be back!

This restaurant was a great break from what I was eating. The nachos were very shareable and so yummy. My brisket quesadilla was so yummy. I was able to get a side salad that was very fresh and a great compliment to my meal.

Lunch date went swimmingly here, not least bc of the excellent food. Very tasty bloody Mary. Friendly chef came out later to check on levels of happiness. He got lots of confirmations from our table and others.

Loved it. Cool little atmosphere, our server was super friendly, the food was awesome(had their French onion soup and the Greek bowl…so good) finished it off with their orange dream mule…100% best “flavored” mule I’ve ever had. We will be back for sure…more than just a couple of times. 🤌🏾🤌🏾

My fiance and I were impressed with our service and meal.

The waiter was extremely personable and funny. Our food came out quick and was delicious. We ordered the Osaka Teriyaki w/ salmon and the Firecracker w/shrimp. We had no complaints from our experience and will be back to try different dishes.
