Great Friday dinner at the Village Supper Club. Jeannine, our server was very helpful. Blue gill was wonderful even without the crispy potato pancakes (which were great.) Coleslaw was exceptional. Pork ribeye was tender and moist. Don't forget the green goddess dressing. Add the drinks from the bar and you have a complete evening. Highly recommended.

We got there Sunday on our boat at about 1:30, sat outside on the deck which is great. Their lunch menu is only available until 2:00, we ordered their cheese steak sandwich and truffle fries. The sandwich was greasy, but very tasty, the fries were just ok, they seemed a little undercooked.
My wife had a Moscow mule which was very good, I had a Makers Mark Old fashion which was not good, it was very watered down and tasted like club soda. I had a second drink which was a special smoked old fashion, same deal with just a little more flavor.

Excellent experience last night! A few of my friends came up from Chicago for dinner to check out this supper club . Everyone loved the atmosphere, drinks food and the staff. The attention that we were given by our waiter Andrew Brahm was exceptional!

He explained the menu - made recommendations and made sure we had a great time! I can also say that they have a great team that pays attention to all the details from water and bread service to checking on you during your meal- great teamwork! You will not be disappointed!

Great spot on Lake Delavan in Wisconsin for a special dinner, event or just a night out. A perfectly executed blend of the "old" supper club and modern amenity - like the full glass wall facing the lake and the large, full bar with comfortable seating. The menu features upper club favorites like salads, steaks and fish fry favorites along with some interesting twists. Outdoor seating with gas fireplace. Excellent service throughout.

Back in June we visited since the village had been remodeled. We boat on Lake Delavan frequently with many friends. We all were looking forward to visiting some the renovation. 4 of us went and got the cod dinners. It was terrible. The potatoes pancakes were not good at all. The entire meal for all of us was a disappointment. We were never asked if we enjoyed the meal. Then, we paid close to $200 with the tip. That was with only one alcoholic beverage. We will not return and we have spread the word to our friends. Such a disappointing.

We love the village! Beautiful atmosphere and the shrimp dejonghe and walleye are the besssst! We usually dine on the deck for apps and drinks but have dined on the full menu and handful of times. The food is delicious although almost every time we have dined on the main floor the potatoes have been cold and we have even had some lukewarm entrees. We will always come back, it is the best! But we wish this could get taken care of. Highly recommend though.

First time since the remodel. Place was amazing. A lake view from every table. Service was top notch. Did the fish fry. I was disappointed. If you were looking for the old Village fish fry, you will not find it. The fried fish was very good lean cod loin fillets but the accompaniments were lacking. The potato pancakes were fried "hard". Lacked flavor. Unpleasant. They add mustard to the tartar and was very runny. . Didn't make it bad but wasn't right. The slaw lacked flavor. Saw food going to other tables. The steaks looked delicious. I will try again but will never bother with the fish fry.

Lovely supper club. Be sure to have a reservation. We just popped in and ended up sitting at the bar. They have a bar menu. We had the bang bang shrimp and the veggie tray; it was delicious. We also had a special which was walleye bites. But I think the fish was old. Well prepared... but not my favorite.

As someone who’s worked in the service industry, I’m typically very understanding when it comes to delays or off nights—things happen. But the experience we had celebrating our friend’s bachelorette at this restaurant was beyond disappointing.

We weren’t greeted at our table for 20 minutes, and it took another 20 minutes just to get our drinks. (We get it—bars back up.) Our appetizer came out quickly, but salads and soups took another 15 minutes, and no one ever checked back to see if we needed anything else. Our server came by again nearly an hour after we ordered to say the food should be out soon, and we ordered another round of drinks. Some of the same cocktails were made inconsistently, one was forgotten entirely, and the server left before we could even say anything.

Meanwhile, tables seated long after us were already finishing and paying their checks. I asked to speak to a manager and requested a new server. When I tried to calmly explain the situation, the manager cut me off mid-sentence and walked away. Thankfully, our new server was fantastic—kind, attentive, and professional.

Our food finally came out an hour and a half after we ordered it. One plate even had a piece of plastic sitting right on top. The manager never came back to follow up. They removed that one meal from the bill, and that was it.

All six of us at the table have worked in restaurants, and none of us were expecting perfection—we simply would’ve appreciated communication and a little more care. The lack of basic hospitality, accountability, and follow-through made what should’ve been a fun, celebratory night extremely frustrating.

(2 stars for service instead of 1 because our second server did her best to give us a better experience)

Had a reservation for 6:30, arrived at 6:20 and was not seated until 6:50. The service started out great but then there was a 20 minute wait from the salad until the main. Our server Samantha and the outdoor bartender were wonderful.

Cut the walleye portion in half along with a $10 price cut. No fish is worth $38. Very disappointed after it was highly recommended by our neighbors. Overpriced and I doubt we will ever go back here.

I haven't been here since before they remodeled the restaurant. And to tell you the truth, I was shocked when I saw the place. Beautiful! I called my mother to let her know how it had changed, and the first thing she said was, I hope they put more windows facing the lake. Well, they did!
The food has always been exceptional, so there is not too much I can add. I had the salmon, and it was perfect, the best. I can't wait to return.

The Village Supper Club is my absolute favorite restaurant. The atmosphere and scenic lake views alone make it a must try, but the food is what will have you coming back every chance you get. They have by far the best fall of the bone ribs you’ll ever eat, and any appetizer you choose will make you wish you had ordered more. While I have dined here many times, I chose VSC to propose to my significant other, and I could not have asked for a more perfect evening. The staff went to great lengths to make sure it was more than anything I could have dreamed.

Disappointment

The good: The filet was properly cooked and tender. The views were great. The service was great. The French onion soup had a nice beefy flavor. The dinner rolls were flavorful and soft

The bad: The asparagus looked, tasted and felt like it had been on a steam table all day long. The Brandy Peppercorn sauce for the filet tasted neither of Brandy nor Peppercorn. It reminded me of a jarred brown sauce you might find at a discount grocery store during the holidays. The only flavor that comes from it was a bitter burnt ick. To add insult to injury, you pay $5 for a thimble sized portion.

They also employ some outcome-based public-school math. There is a $3 price difference between the soup of the day and French onion soup if you order it ala-cart. However, there is $8 price difference if you upgrade the same soup of the day that comes with your meal to the French onion.

Just when you think that you can’t get disappointed more, you take home dessert. In our case, what they called “chocolate lava cake”. Words cannot fully express how gross that cake was. It reminded me of a stale dense overcooked Hostess cupcake without the filling. There was no ‘lava’ just some chocolate something on top of the cupcake.

If you want to chill out on their patio with a beer and soak in the lake views, then this is the place to do it. If you are hungry, eat somewhere else first.

Got french onion soup, was good. The assistant manager served me at the bar, consummate gentleman. Even willing to banter about local (community) politics. The soup base did not taste like it was made onsite, and they served a gimlet that wasn't shaken, so that's why the food only gets 3 stars. Service gets a star detracted due to lack of congeniality, as in, when I go to a bar I expect, if the bar is slow, some conversation from whomever is tending bar...while the MGR/bartender were happy to answer my questions, it seemed to put them off. They hid it well, which leads to the 5/5 for atmosphere.

TL;DR

Food seems to be frozen, but that's an assumption made based off french onion soup.

We had an incredible experience at The Village Supper Club on Delavan Lake!

The outdoor deck is stunning, right on the lake’s edge with a cozy fireplace and a great bar.

The Old Fashioned was one of the best as expected, and the Aperol Spritz was light, refreshing, and perfect for summer.
Definitely a beautiful spot for photos with friends or family!

Inside, the atmosphere is warm and elegant.

We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager Rob, who sat us at a lovely table.

The service throughout the evening was top-notch, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.

Dinner was outstanding. The bread, soup, and salad were all delicious, and the prime rib was flavorful and perfectly cooked.
The asparagus was also perfectly done with great flavor.

Highly recommend for a memorable dinner out on the lake.

Beautiful location on Lake Delevan. Parking was very easy, a dedicated lot is across the street. Outside there is an outdoor bar with ample seating overlooking the lake, perfect for summer! I was cheering for this to be a five-star review. It’s clear the kitchen could improve composition and quality.

Our first visit before or after renovations. Loved the beautiful room that treats the lake as entertainment. Unusual to be facing other tables like that but it works. Friendly service and staff. Fire pits. Solid decor. It felt exactly like what we want a supper club to be, and instant hit with the relish tray on point and the jazzed up dinner rolls. The wedge salad with goddess dresssing was great (same dressing as the relish tray).

But Sunday night at 7 …three entrees - walleye, ribs, and pesto pasta were sold out - this was surprising. the server didn’t offer this info until we tried to order one of them.

So we had salmon, which was ok, duck, which came out of the kitchen without the carrots, and a medium rare NY strip steak that was somewhere closer to medium well. I never send food back, but how do you stick a pick in a steak to claim it as medium rare and .. not notice that it’s not juicy?

Address the kitchen issues and we will send all our supper club loving neighbors your way. Otherwise maybe we’d return for burgers and curds? It’s so great of a setting, I want it to get there.

Had reservations for 8 checked in at 7:55 and told our table would be ready in a few minutes. Sat down at the bar had a cocktail, no problem. Here is where the problems started. We had finished our cocktails and finally, over 30 minutes later we were seated.
Ordered a drink and an appetizer, appetizer came and we still hadn't ordered dinner. Our waiter was no where to be found. Finally Ordered 2 prime rib dinners. When we received our prime rib the party of 5 that came in after us was getting up to leave. Plate was hot food was not. I could tell it had been sitting under the warmer from the skin that had formed on my auju. Our water glasses were empty majority of the dinner. It was my birthday and they brought out a little cake desert which was hotter than our meals. Ended up finally leaving at 10:30 or a bit after.
Disdainful treatment from the staff. Cold food, bad service. The only good thing was the dining room.

Food was good but not worth the price. I got the New York strip and it was overcooked and a bit dry. The margarita was mediocre. The cheese curds were great and the green goddess dressing was the most impressive food of the night. The menu is not transparent in terms of pricing, neither was the waiter. There were surprises on our bill, some things we would not have gotten if we knew it would be a full extra charge. Would definitely review the receipt and ask questions.

I had been looking forward to dinner at The Village Supper Club, and while parts of the evening were lovely, the food was a major letdown.

Let’s start with the good:
The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambiance was absolute perfection, cozy and charming, and the lake view at sunset was truly breathtaking. My Old Fashioned was delicious and well-balanced — exactly what you’d hope for at a supper club.

But… the food.
Unfortunately, it was not good. My walleye was smothered in a heavy sauce and came breaded, which turned it into a soggy mess — totally overpowered the fish. The pork ribeye had zero flavor (how is that even possible?), and was also drowning in sauce. Honestly, it tasted like something you'd get in a cafeteria. The mashed potatoes, while plated beautifully, were cold.

So much potential, but the kitchen really missed the mark on these 2 food dishes we ordered. I hope they read this and improve. It's such a beautiful place and I want them to succeed.

We decided to give this place a try again after their remodel. The service was great, but the food still missed the mark. The bread was an improvement over their previous menus bread, but it would have been better if the bread was warm and the butter wasn't rock solid. The cheese curds came with a green godess and Sriracha ranch, which that was probably my favorite part. The tortilla soup was OK, but when I got almost to the end, there was a disgustingly large gristle piece. The steak had little flavor and any flavor it had, seemed to come from the butter on top. The potatoes presented well, but again minimal flavor. The carrots w/honey butter were good and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere and view were great, but overall, not worth the money spent.

Original review prior to remodel:
The food was very bland and expensive for what it was. The bread was just a small store bought loaf, nothing special. The salad was a bagged spring mix, again nothing special. The filet mignon was not cooked correctly and it did not seem like a filet. I have had better steak at a breakfast diner. The fish was so so and the potato pancakes were the only thing that had any flavor, and they still were nothing to write home about. The service was good, but I won't be returning.

Nice new upscale facility with a great lake view. We asked about the size of the Brussels Sprout salad and were told that it was enough for one. It was HUGE! We could have easily split. We split the 8 oz filet. The kitchen would not divide the entree. An extra plate was provided, for a $5.00 upcharge!!! Ordered the peppercorn sauce. We didn't get it, but we were offered no consideration for the screw up. The prices are astronomical, like downtown Chicago. It was good, but not that good. Very disappointing. We won't be back.

Wish I was aware about the booths..They crammed 8 of us into one booth.

This is THE place. Unless you’re heading to Tornado in Madison, The Village is the spot. Their phenomenal redesign shows real thought, care, and attention to detail—it looks FABULOUS. Diana Krall and Frank Sinatra set the perfect vibe, but you can still catch the game at the bar. And the bar—don’t even get me started. Flawless. The décor is out of this world. Service? 10/10. The setting and ambiance were perfect with a gorgeous high ceiling and chandeliers, and there were many cozy green booths that look out onto the dining room and window view of the lake. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The drinks? A+ We all loved our food, from the warm rolls to start, to our meals (fish fry, steak, and risotto). But we decided where they truly excel is desserts! The cheesecake - one of the best we have ever had. And the creme brulee was so tasty.

Plus the wallpaper in the bathroom is super fun!

We came in the winter - hope to try it in the warmer months to enjoy the patio!

Husband and I came in Friday 6:20 our reservation was at 6:30. Sat at bar ordered 2 Margaritas that were on the drink menu in front of us. Bartender rolled his eyes. Then I said we'll just have wine. He said good thing we only have and showed us little fresh squeezed lime juice he had and said good thing we changed to wine. Well dinner was fabulous as always. We had 2 more Margs. Both of us were sick. After a long week of work you want to be treated nice and have our favorite drink. Won't be back for a while!

This place looks like a blast from the past, but it clearly is all new and in great condition. The food we had was very good, relish tray, to my NY strip was delicious. The steak was seared beautifully crisp, and yet med-rare inside. All of the staff from the host, to the runners, to our waitress were very attentive and great personality. We will be back! I had the almond crusted walleye with cream sauce and that’s all I could taste, it was like the fish wasn’t even there. My fault, I should have known better than to get crusted fish with some kind of sauce. My wife’s prime rib was tough and the potatoes and soup were just warm. Service was good though and the place is nice but I think once was enough. We were underwhelmed.

What a great place for dinner! We had a large family reunion there - the private room was perfect for our group and the waitstaff was super attentive. The place is beautiful. Had old fashions at the bar…best we ever had. Bartender was great. Went to dinner and our waitress was nice but chatty and she had a lot of tables so service seemed a bit slow. The steak was ordered medium and came out raw. Took some time to get the waitress attention to send back but finally did. It came back cooked better but very grisly. Overall a nice place, just a bad cut of meat and maybe more wait staff. The experience started well but made us second guess going back.

Views, vibes, and atmosphere all 10/10. Some of the food could use a rethink. Mostly calling out the walleye on the menu. It comes drenched in an extremely sweet creme based sauce. Tastes like melted ice cream or frosting. On fish. It’s tough for me to imagine someone who would actually enjoy that sauce. They did take half off the entree price since it was uneaten. Anyway, everything else was pretty good. Was hoping the relish plate would have something pickled on it, but alas, no.

Village Supper Club is a modern take on the timeless Supper Clubs of old. The bar has a nice selection of drinks. The menu and food were great. Be sure to check for the specials that offer a nice variation from their typical fare. Service was good, but you can still detect an air of newness as you cycle through a seemingly endless bevy of servers and staff. The atmosphere is amazing. The environment and architecture are light years beyond your old timey supperclub. This may not be your ideal scene if you're hoping to step back into the past, but Village Supper Club definitely won me over with their attempt on a modern supper club.

This is the second time we have been to the Village Supper Club. We wanted so bad to love the food/service, and again, it didn't happen.
The place is gorgeous. There were four of us and made a reservation over a month before. (This was on a Friday night) We would have loved to sit closer to the windows but was put in the close to bar section. That's ok though. It took the waitress forever to come take our drink order. She was friendly though. After we received our drinks, it again took her forever to take our appetizer and dinner order. We ordered the walleye, chicken, ribeye and blue gill. None of us was thrilled at all with any of the food. We had to send the ribeye back because it was cold along with the potatoes and vegetable. The server of the food was about as unfriendly as you could possibly be. We were at the table for over 2 hours. Way too long...Not sure if we will be back..

Like many others noted, I wanted to love this place because it is so beautiful and charming. It was such a coveted reservation this summer and we were really looking forward to trying it. Ate there tonight as a party of 6. Looking at the food at the other tables we all were just dying to dig right in. Looks are very deceiving…the app’s were probably the best part, like the relish tray. The cheese curds were not necessarily traditional and the shrimp cocktail was strange. When chowing our meals we just couldn’t decide. The waitress said the almond crusted walleye was the #1 dish, we also had pork shank, filet and chicken. The walleye was very fishy and was off putting, neither one of us ate our meal. The pork shank looked amazing but again had a strange flavoring, did not take for leftovers. The chicken and filet were fine.
The server was very nice but it was the longest dinner ever for a not that crowded restaurant.
My husband wants to go back and give it another shot, I could leave it and our friends agreed.
Five stars for the atmosphere. If I came back it would be for a drink outside but pass on the food.

I love supper clubs and was hoping this would have the vibe of a typical establishment.

I will say the setting and the view is incredible . Not your typical supper club. I would call it more giving the aura of a high need place. The night we went on a Thursday , every table was taken and they were busy.

However setting aside , food and service is what matters most to me. We had a cocktail, An oldfashioned' each at the bar which was very nice but turned out overly sweet.

The hostesses seemed rather confused about seating us though we had a reservation and were there 30 mins early and checked in before we sat ourselves at the bar .

Once seated, our server was enthusiastic but lost track of us over time, no drinks were refreshed, nor asked about another round.

We hoped for a relish tray. It was an item on the menu one could pay for and all were simply cut vegetables. Nothing pickled. Even our waitress shrugged and said would be nice to have something pickled.

Dinner looked amazing, but the flavors were ordinary at best.

Sometimes newer places need time to settle and find their sweet spot. We will wait patiently and try again down the road.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. They have a voicemail box that doesn’t announce who it’s for let alone what it’s for when you attempt to call to make a reservation. I say “attempt” because my wife and I have called 7-8 different times over the past few months and no one ever answers. We had reservations at 7:30 on Friday and were seated right away. There were 5 of us, each ordering the fish fry. I thought the fish was good, but don't understand having applesauce. None of us ate it; seemed like such a waste. In addition, it would have been nice to be able to choose between baked potato, French fries, or potato pancakes. The potato pancakes were not good.
