Just stopped in at Vines and Viddles, and so glad to see that they have reopened again with an all-new menu of small plates. Our spinach strawberry salad was over the top! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it! The atmosphere was very charming and relaxing! A small charming bar area had a great selection of wines and whiskeys. And will be back again to try that next time.

My wife and I had a fantastic mid afternoon stop. The owner served us and started with being very knowledgeable about wines and helping us make the perfect selections. Italian Moscato Asti for her and a bold Cab for me.
As a small plate early meal we shared a caprese salad and then my wife had a flat bread while I did the meatballs and angel hair pasta. All was excellent and the owner obviously takes great pride in her service and food offerings.
As a topper we were able to sit at the lower patio with our small dog!

Charming Victorian home converted to pleasant dining experience. Newly reopened, the menu is still in development, but the current choices were wonderful. The owner worked to accommodate vegetarian wishes, plus gluten and soy intolerance needs, while delivering excellent presentation and flavors. We all thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and left very pleased, eager to return. Go and enjoy elevated good, organic food at reasonable prices. Very good Bloody Marys!

We were here on a Saturday night with very few other guests present in the restaurant. Considering this, the service was pleasant but very slow (90-120 minutes for dinner). The eclectic meal was appealing when considering online, however, I think this does not work to their favor. Most of the dishes we ordered were very poorly executed from dry and unseasoned Mexican fare to questionable preparation of the chicken in the alfredo (where the white sauce had virtually no flavor). It seems it would be beneficial to focus the offerings to a few, well-prepared options. The additional charges were also discouraging from upcharges for a small amount of ranch ($2 for approximately 1-2 tablespoons) to being charged $3 for three spare plates. Sadly, this is a beautiful location with a great premise but executed poorly. We will not return.

Christina was a wonderful host/waitress. They have a selection of good eats, but nothing better than the grass fed dishes, as well as the fish (I had perch on Friday). Well worth the price for a very satisfying portion that made me and my wife full. Glad to support a small restaurant, and only wish there were more like this one to enjoy. The hot sauce they serve went well with the steak salad, even better with the pan fried perch and fries. And the house made tartar sauce was unbelievable. Come support a one of a kind place, you won’t regret it.

We stopped at this restaurant this evening after passing by it for many years. We’ve always wanted to stop since we live so close and boy are we glad we did. First, the atmosphere is just really nice. Lots of charm and very welcoming and homey feel. The staff was super nice, personable, and really fun! The food was just wonderful! The portion sizes were just perfect and the presentation of the entrees was pleasing. I certainly appreciated the owner coming by our table to talk about a bottle of wine we fell in love with. It was extremely refreshing to have that personal experience. It shows the passion and care for what they do. We have been looking for our “go to” place for a long time and I truly feel tonight, we found it. We can’t wait to experience more!

The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. It was a shame that the woman taking care of us was not all that pleasant. My husband knows his beer. He ordered a dunkelweiss from Capitol Brewing. It didn't taste good to him so he decided to order a different beer. We planned on paying for the beer he didn't like. The woman started chastising him like he didn't know his beer. I found it rather amusing. The food wasn't worth the money. I had a steak taco meal for $32. The tacos barely had anything in the shells. Maybe breakfast is better. I wouldn't bother with dinner. Actually, with the terse attitude of the woman I wouldn't go back for breakfast.

I am not normally one to write reviews but I just had the worst experience at Vittles & Vine. From the minute my friends and I walked in we had a negative experience. The woman that I assume to be the owner was extremely rude, the menu was super confusing with their Mexican + Hawaiian + Brunch + Supper Club type options. The menu was insanely over priced. We ordered chips, Pico, guacamole and a quesadilla with 4 drinks and paid $85. Good luck to you, we will not be back.

My husband and I decided to eat lunch here after passing the building's elegance many times. The owner, Christina, and Chef Tyler; couldn't have been more welcoming and we were seated at a table on their lovely out door porch. The menu selections were varied, fresh and difficult to decide. We were more than pleased and especially relished their pride in the ingredients and their offerings. We will definitely return and GD should be so proud of this treasure.

V&V was short-staffed at the time we went, so the waitress who handled our table was also taking care of all the other tables (at least on the patio), including greeting and seating customers and sanitizing tables between groups. She handled all of this very well - I wish I had gotten her name! This did mean our food took a very long time to come, so I wouldn’t recommend this as a fast option.

However, we enjoyed the atmosphere - the exterior of the building is a beautiful old Victorian, and the outside seating was nice. The menu was extensive, the food was fresh and very tasty (I thought it was also pretty well-priced considering they use real, locally-sourced ingredients). I will be visiting again in the future!

Edit: I have been back several times since leaving my original review; every item I’ve tried on the menu has been delicious! Service isn’t always amazing, but the food is well worth a visit.

Overall, it was ok. Food was the better part, I'd rate that 4 stars. It didn't help that it was very very cold inside.... our 4-some's toes were all freezing and I wore my jacket all evening. In their defense it was 0 degrees outside..... but would've been nice to be at least slightly comfortable. I saw other guests wrapped in blankets. We asked to sit in a different empty room that was much warmer, but despite it being empty, they said it was unavailable. That didn't make much sense to me..... it was COLD. But we laughed it off as best we could and tried to enjoy ourselves. Our server was very kind and friendly, but didn't know very much, seemed pretty inexperienced. They were out of many items on the menu.... the owner (or boss) explained supply-chain issues. I get it. Although seemed a bit strange for our server to tell one of our party to go look in the fridge to see what beers they have available (because many were missing from the menu).... isn't that the server's job? We stayed until 10 and it was obvious they wanted us out of there, turning off the lights beforehand. I believe in supporting small local business, so maybe we'll try again for a better experience in the summer. It will be warmer and maybe they won't close down at 9:30.

Love the fresh and different menu choices. I have to admit that I have fallen in love with the chicken & einkorn waffles and probably order them for pick-up more mornings that I should. Another surprise was the ability to buy the einkorn, emmer, and spelt flours right on site. The restaurant is adorable, staff friendly, and I am very partial to the patio and gazebo seating. This place is the bomb. My wife and I developed an early closeness with Christina and she always has a smile when we come in. During shutdown, we regularly ordered take out because we couldn't bear to see this place go away. Interesting blend of foods here and have never been disappointed. The West meets the Midwest in a Wisconsin Victorian house decorated with a Southern California flair. In the last three years ago I would come here for celebratory dinners, birthdays and anniversaries. This Sunday to escape the confining walls of the pandemic, I called and listened to how they are treating the customers and how they retreat the surroundings between customers. We came for brunch in the early afternoon, sat outside on the patio under shade trees and ate for 2 hours enjoying the freedom. Since I had last been there, they have expanded, decorated the the main room with fantastic photos on canvas of local flora (Queen Anne's Lace being my favorite). All the food is fresh, may take a while to make, but cooked to perfection. The service was special. Masked Bella had more expression in her eyes than a full faced person. Of course, Crista, served us our alcohol and her mask did not hide her beauty either. I recommend the experience, the hospitality and of course, the fresh local food. Escape the city, visit nature and eat well.

We ate here for the first time this evening. The staff was wonderful and the food was fantastic! We were a little hesitant at first thinking we needed to be a little more dressed up, and not to have our toddler along. But we gave it a shot. It was a very cozy and an elegant atmosphere. You definitely could dress up or be like me and come in scrubs with my husband and 18month old. We were seated right away and they attended to all our needs. It was also nice to have a dinner were music isn't blaring in your ear and you can hear the person next to you. The menu options were wonderful and not overwhelming with choices. They have a lot of drink options. Furthermore, they have breakfast all day! Which if your in the mood for breakfast for dinner, this is place to go! I walked in to check on reserving the place for a private party and was met with a staff that seems like they we're not pleased that I stopped there,even though they were open. When I said I called and did not get an answer multiple times, the lady then proceeded to dial the phone handed to me and explained that when the phone rings it's just going to have to wait cuz she has customers even though this place has been dead everytime I have gone past and that has been 50 times plus.
I was highly disappointed and would not ever try stopping there again. I never see more than a couple of cars there.
I'm not sure how this place stays in business.
For how they treated me, they lost out on a very big party order and a decent review. If I could give them less than 1 * I would for how I was treated I am usually a very high rating person, but this one really deserved one star.
I will say that I have heard from a couple of people who have stopped in there that their food was good. The people who gave me the idea to stop there also said that they have never seen more than a couple of people in there.

I stopped in on my way home and had the pleasure of being waited on by the owner, Kristina. I had a glass of Palm Rose (delicious), and CHOWED down on their steak tacos. Let me tell you - best tacos I have ever had! I consider myself a taco connoiseur and these were mouth watering! Their homemade chimichurri sauce was to die for! I ate my plate so fast I impressed myself :) Then I topped it off with the Al's Brownie - again - I can't even explain the decadence of my meal. Not to mention the adorable and comfortable interior and airy outdoor patio to add to the ambience.
This is definitely my new spot for AMAZING food!

Lunch took two and a half hours. Food served sporadically and lukewarm. We had a party of 10 and they wouldn’t let my 81 year old dad sit at the head of the table even though no one else was near us. Hard to get waitress to bring water. One guest just gave up. Last person to eat got their food as we were getting the bill. Owner was a combination of inattentive and rude. My dad lives five miles away and eats at restaurants daily and he along with all 10’of us will not be returning.

Meh. I have been wanting to try Vittles & Vine and went on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 with my mom when she came to visit. There was no one else in the restaurant but the hostess tried to cram us into a small 2 seater table. We asked if we could have a larger table since we were literally the only people in the restaurant. Her reply was, "We don't really do that." You don't really do what, seat patrons comfortably when there is a whole restaurant of empty tables? At that point we should have just left. Instead we crammed ourselves into the small table and ordered our meal. The food came quickly which was good because they didn't seem to have the heat on. It was a cold day outside and not much better in the restaurant. We ate our meals in our jackets because it was too cold without them. The best part of the meal was when the waitress made the comment, "I don't know if there is going to be enough room on the table for the food." Really??? Well geez wouldn't have been an issue if we could of had a larger table. We both ordered tacos and were not impressed. There are half a dozen Mexican restaurants in the surrounding area that have way better tacos. I had high hopes for this place because I am within walking distance from my home but I don't see myself coming back. They have over priced mediocre food at best and an unhelpful staff. There are better restaurants in the area willing to take my money in a more comfortable atmosphere.

What a special place to go for a wonderfully creative meal. Christina, the proprietor was quite delightful to meet. Her carefully created menu made me yearn for one of everything. I had the grilled ham and cheese on herbed-sourdough with a wonderful cup of Tomato-Rosemary soup. The cocktails were delicious ( but a bit more expensive than I'm used to)

Breakfast is peppered with unique offerings. Check out the menu for the subtle charm, like homemade berry jam on my waffle. Quantity was just enough, not enough for leftovers or to feel remotely gluttonous. Decor is hodge podgy in an old Victorian house, nothing too serious. A welcoming but drafty environment on one of the first cold fall mornings.

We walked in and there was one table of 4 adults still eating. We were directed to a table right next to these guests. We (our group of 4) asked to be sat at a table kitty corner from these guests so as to not feel crowded. We were told no. We noticed the staff and the other 4 guests were wearing their coats. The temp outside was in the low 50's and the inside temp was similar. The food was good but we were more crowded than necessary for a total of 8 guests. Service was so so.

This has been our second time coming here and it has once again been some of the best food I've ever had. You can tell that they really care about making great, healthy food. I'm pretty picky when it comes to how things taste and let me just say this... if you want to impress someone with some of the best food they have ever eaten, go here for lunch. The kale and artichoke soup is to die for. The quesadilla manana was incredible. The bloody mary is pretty good as well. The only criticism I have is the attention to detail when pouring drinks and sending out cocktails not too full. Overall I really struggle to see why this place isn't packed full every lunch hour.

Ok guys, I travel a lot for work and get to eat at many places coast to coast, so I get lots of selection and different cuisine. This place is a gem! I live in North Prairie and will be back again and again. I have been looking for a place with great Mexican dishes and surprisingly found them here. The chicken enchiladas with a little pineapple habanero "shaka sauce" is soooooo good. You will not be disappointed! Great menu and excellent service.

Had a wonderful dinner tonight for my wife's birthday! The staff went out of their way to provide amazing service to our large extended family. Our server was very attentive and the food was amazing! We will definitely be coming back very soon.

Had great food, and service was so so. New waitress that didn't know her job very well. Ordered a salid for $11.00 ended up being charged over $14.00. When confronting waitress about this, owner became defensive, stating extra add on cost more, even though that wasn't explained. To top this off she became sarcastic with a tulip, saying have a great Mother's Day. Won't be going back.
