If you’ve ever wanted to experience bowling while risking a face-plant, Volcano Lanes is your spot. The lane approach doesn’t allow for any sliding at all, so every throw feels like a trust fall — except the floor isn’t catching you.

While the feet stick to the floor, the oily balls slip right out of your hand.

And forget about comfort. Who needs air conditioning in the middle of summer, right? The place lives up to its name: step inside and you’ll feel like you’re actually in a volcano.

The ball return? A comedy act. It never sends back the same ball, so I had to rotate between two like I was in some kind of juggling competition.

If you’re looking for a unique “survival challenge” with your bowling, this is the place. If you’re looking for actual fun, maybe keep driving.

Not even 1 star, pizza never came and it was 40 bucks, lane kept closing and not working, kinda hot in there, terrible service. Spend your money elsewhere please. If you want food go to Wisconsin Brewer Pub downstairs it's great

They stole 40$ from us and we ordered before the kitchen closed and therefore becuse they closed ~30m after and they discarded are food and we could not get a receipt becuse the app closed after they shut down ( we could not do anything to get are money back ) if volcano lanes is reading this we will come to sue you!! We do not play games do not tip these pepole 1 star is generous!

I ordered a pizaa at about 9:30. They close at 10 and I never got the pizza. Did not get a refund because I was never sent a reciept.

Pins would not reset repeatedly. Eventually they moved us to a different lane which was better. The floors were dry as a bone and the shoes do not slide AT ALL! HARD stop. Had to completely change how I bowl so I didnt fall on my face. Probably fine for little kids but its highly unlikely anyones gonna bowl their top score here.

My family and I had a great time! The prices were reasonable, and although it was very busy when we went, Noemi at the desk did a wonderful job managing everything and even cleaning areas in between customers all by herself.

Only one bartender... Service takes a while. Had to cash out every order of food or drinks with wristband. Mediocre food for a resort. Beer is good. It would be a mess if there were more than 10 people at the bar/restaurant.

Great lanes for novice bowling terrible for professional bowling I am two handed in bowling there is no oil and the lanes lean to the left so none of my equipment was working recommended to novice bowlers not professional

We had an amazing time playing bowling here it’s me and our daughter playing bowling ever my husband was really good at it because he was bowling since he was young. The place is clean the woman that works there at counter giving us the shoes she is a Darling sweet and nice. We were there in the afternoon in a weekday so its nit to crowded perfect time to practice our skill. We haven’t tried the foods there yet because we eat lunch early for sure soon when we come back we need to try the foods at the bowling alley. I give this place 5 stars ⭐️

Looks nice, great bar area. Technology for lanes is good, but only if it works. Lanes kept repeatedly breaking down. And we did hourly rate and never got our time back as they said we would. Lanes were extremely dry and floors were sticky due to spills.

Wish I could say my family and I had a good time here, but it was a rather rough time. I mean there is a shoe fee to begin with, they don't really have any specials so you pay at a per game rate, and the staff wasn't all that friendly. Our lane broke down and wouldn't reset the pins so we had to ask for help about 5 times until they finally gave us a new lane. Then that lane did the SAME thing! All we wanted was to enjoy our vacation and try some cosmic bowling, but instead we were ignored by the employee's who would rather sit on their phone instead of do their job and help us.

We came as a three generation family. They had a really nice set up for young children to bowl. Our grandkids loved the experience. They also had great cheese curds and jalapeño poppers.

We didn't bowl but they have axe throwing by bar. You have to reserve and only 1 person throws at a time. You can not have open toe shoes. You pay for 30 min. Slot. So much fun with our teenage grandsons.

I've been here multiple times in the past and had a blast, but this most recent time was a major let down. Bowled on one lane that kept breaking down. Asked if we could move to a different lane the lady behind the counter seemed annoyed that she had to move us. We went a couple lanes down and had the same issues. The same staff member came over to complain about other customers, even calling one person a 'Karen'. She continued to talk and talk about her personal life and some injuries she was dealing with making it difficult to enjoy ourselves. Def wont be going back anytime soon.

I took my daughter and her friend's here to bowl had a great time they offer bumper bowling or regular or both at same time it definitely has lots of games including bumper pool arcade size basketball games really cool stuff and they have a full bar we had a great time we will definitely be back

One of the least expensive things to do at the Kalahari. Ordered food delivered to our bowling lane. Fun way to have dinner!

Slightly understaffed, one bartender was trying to tend bar and be the server to the whole place. The peanut butter and jelly sandwich (un-crustable) for my 10 year old was moldy and couldn’t get refunded because there was no manager to authorize it so we replaced it with a second one that was hard and the kid wouldn’t eat it. So that was weird.

The rest of the food we ordered was good.

We had the gutter guard lifted after everybody gutter-balled the first frame so that made the bowling more fun.

Horrible. Went to bowl and get a lane and said no lanes were available when half the lanes were open! So we went to get food and drinks at the bar. One person working the whole bar and food and waited 1 1/2 hrs for cold stale food. Completely mismanaged and a waste of money.

Useless. Was told there were no lanes available when I walked up to the counter. Turned around from the counter to see over 8 lanes empty. Asked if there was reservations for them and was told no. Yet we can't bowl on them. Restraunt/bar was run by only 1 person. Guy did his absolute best to keep up but took over 20 minutes just to get a drink after it was ordered. Kalahari what a let down.

Went to eat in the lounge before bowling. Waited 50 minutes for a kids grilled cheese, kids chicken tenders, and nachos. Was told it was busy downstairs. This was a monday and downstairs was not busy at all before we came upstairs to the lounge. Kids were getting hangry!!! When food was finally served it was all cold and nacho chips were stale. No apologies whatsoever. Bowling was good. Standard bowling in the dark.

We had 8 people bowl what is the maximum on a lane. They shut off the lanes in the 5th frame. There was only half of the place filled. Nowhere on the price list does it say a time limit.

This was an amazing addition to our trip to the Dells. We just went bowling but we walked through the park and found the attractions awe inspiring. The food is also very good. Huge portions.
