Fantastic experience! We arrived early enough, and they sat us right in front of the window— beautiful view. Very friendly staff. We ordered Cheese Curds, Shrimp Scampi & 4 cheese mac & cheese with chicken. The cheese curds were good, the scampi was great — I would suggest to tone down the lemon as it was very overpowering. I loved the grilled chicken ( I’ll order chicken from this place anytime) It was very flavorful & cooked perfectly. The mac & cheese, however, could use something to add flavor as it was very bland on it’s own.

Loved the complimentary boat ride on the pontoon! I shared feedback of the mac & cheese with the gentlemen driving the pontoon boat and before we left, he gave us a certificate to return—which I did not expect, but appreciate!

We will certainly do so to try more of their menu & more rides around the lake. This is a great place for cozy date nights with the significant other or gathering with friends.

We were really disappointed with our experience. We had a reservation and were seated right away, but things quickly went downhill. When I ordered a dirty martini with no vermouth (I’m allergic), the server asked me, “Isn’t vermouth what makes it a martini?” I’ve been ordering this drink for over 15 years and have never once had a server question me like that. I even clarified by saying, “vodka up with olive juice if that makes it easier,” but being questioned as if it was a test felt unprofessional.

Next, I asked for blue cheese olives, but the drink came out with plain green olives instead. Only after I asked did they mention they were out of blue cheese olives, and they never told me upfront.

My husband and I ordered an appetizer, Caesar salad, and entrees. When the salads arrived, they had no croutons, even though the menu listed them, and every Caesar I’ve ever had includes them. When we asked, they eventually brought the croutons out, but we shouldn’t have had to ask.

I ordered a second martini the same way as the first, and this time it didn’t even come with olives at all, I had to ask for them again. For a restaurant that presents itself as “high end,” the service and attention to detail were not even close.

Having lived in Wisconsin for 5 years and visited many supper clubs, I can honestly say this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. For the prices they charge, it was not worth it. I worked as a server for many years myself, and when this much goes wrong at one table, a manager should always stop by to check in. Ours never did, and it was clear they didn’t care.

Bottom line: Not worth the money or time. There are many far better supper clubs in Wisconsin, and I won’t be returning.

We went to Waller's for our 50th Anniversary, we had 18 people and the food was great service was excellent we had 2 very nice waitresses and they made sure we didn't wait or want for anything, it was also my Granddaughter's 18 birthdays and everyone sang happy birthday to her it was wonderful, I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion and I personally want to thank the waitresses you made this meal wonderful, thank you,

We stumbled upon this place after visiting the Shalom Wildlife Zoo. It's a higher end supper club style restaurant with excellent food and reasonably priced drinks. They even offer complimentary pontoon boat rides after your meal - about 18 minutes around the lake. The super friendly owner even put our leftovers in the fridge to hold them until we were done.

The fish fry is good but I think you should take the “please carpool” sign off the door. It’s like a slap in the face after trying to find a parking spot. I saw a guy trying to clear trees in the woods so he could park. It was hilarious I felt like Austin powers in the tunnel trying to get out of there.

This was the first and last time we will be dining here. Our server was inattentive. She delivered our food and didn’t ask if we needed anything while both of our waters were empty. She visited the table next to ours 3 times without even looking in our direction. She did not check back at our table after we got our food until I had to ask one of her coworkers to grab her. The food was bland and not hot. Definitely not at all worth the cost. The steak was delivered on a tiny plate with no room to cut it. It was a very unfortunate visit because the property is beautiful. The boat ride and kid driving the boat were the highlight of this visit.

Come for a side salad. Stay for a pontoon ride. I have been going to the various supper clubs in this location since the 80’s and, after eating at Waller’s, was very disappointed in the food and the cost of the experience. The new owners have dramatically increased prices while removing the salad bar and complimentary bread ($9 bread can be ordered as an appetizer). Here were the reviews from our table:
-The Pistachio Salmon was lacking flavor
-The burger was good, but not worth $17
-The prime rib was overcooked
-The Wedge Salad was served with the wrong dressing
-French onion soup, chicken piccata, loaded baked potato, and fries were fine, but not spectacular
The service was good and the complimentary pontoon ride, guided by Captain Maxim, was the highlight of the dining experience.

My girlfriend and I went to this place while we were staying at a cabin on 7/27 at 7:00 pm. I would not recommend. She ordered a “Caesar salad but instead of Caesar dressing the blackberry vinaigrette” to which the waitress seemed very confused by and said “you are not making any sense” and my girlfriend explained a bit further and we thought it had been sorted out. When the salad came out it had Caesar dressing on it (not what she had asked for) and the waitress then looked at ME and tried getting me to side with her against my girlfriend even though I had heard her order. Once we had the correct salad and my shrimp scampi the food was fair to good (the scampi could use a creamier sauce and the blackberry vinaigrette would be better if it was strained to get the seeds out) this place food-wise wise is close to great with a few tweaks (the mozz sticks need more time in the fryer and the butter with the bread needs more salt and flavor). My girlfriend ordered the vanilla crepe cake and was asked “Would you like the chocolate sauce or raspberry?” and she chose raspberry but to our surprise, the “raspberry sauce” was the same blackberry vinaigrette that was on her salad with no fresh berries as listed on the menu. We could not tell if this was done on purpose or not. To not make a scene she ate around the sauce and we left it at that. Overall disappointed and will not return.

I subtracted 1 star from the overall score based on menu selections being somewhat different.
The bartender was very friendly and the service was very good drink prices are reasonable. The food was good the house salad was fairly large with fresh ingredients no wilted lettuce quite good. I had the filet because there are only two steaks on the menu I would have preferred a larger cut but 6oz is all that's offered I ordered it medium it was cooked more like medium well but was still tender and moist so very edible with nice flavor. Rose had the chicken she said it was very good when I looked at it I considered it a rather small portion for the cost just a leg and a thigh but she enjoyed it. The atmosphere is quite nice from most tables and the bar there's a nice view of the lake and the little details are nice.
Will we come back? Yes it's not going to be one of our go to places but for an occasional change of place it's ok

Unfortunately they seem to have gone downhill with each visit. At least with the food. Steaks over done, pan fried walleye had an overwhelming fishy taste (which has not been the case in the past) and the Wisconsin donuts had raw batter when you bit into to them. I cannot say enough how about wonderful our dining experience here was. The food: top notch. Service: above and beyond! Ambience: we were seated at a corner table with a view of the lake.

A bit more about our visit: we came for Easter Brunch. My mom and I both wanted the tenderloin and we were told they were out. Our waitress checked with the kitchen and was able to get us the last 2 portions. It was juicy, cooked to a perfect medium, and came with delicious sides.

Our server was kind without being gratuitous and took a moment to speak with us and let us know they will have summer pontoon rides and a patio bar. We will be back.

Tonight was our first time dining at Waller’s on the Lake. We were seated at a table with a view of the lake, our food was delicious and our waitress Rosie was amazing! She was not only an incredible waitress but so kind-hearted. Last nite, March 15, was our first time back since Wallace Lake Supper Club became Waller's on the Lake. Did not disappoint! Celebrated my husband’s birthday at Waller’s tonight. We started the evening with a wisconsin classic, Old fashioned’s. Bar service was impeccable, never waited for a drink. To start our meal we tried the bacon wrapped dates, an absolute must get! Soup and salad was very good (thank you for getting rid of the salad bar). For our main course beer battered fish (made with spotted cow), fantastic. We finished the evening with carrot cake, what a great way to end our meal.

Whether out for a dinner with your significant other or family and friends Waller’s is a must! Looking forward to summer on the lake as well.

We had our holiday company dinner here and they made the planning portion a breeze. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to use the fire pits to roast s’mores after our delectable dinner. Mother Nature was not on our side so we opted to pass. I had the beer cheese Orichette with shrimp. It had 6 colossal shrimp and it was ooy gooey cheesy noodle goodness. Shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked. Others had the Prime rib and the flavor was simply perfection . Mushroom Bacon Pappadrelle’s Smoky hearty flavor was comforting . I have read that other diners complain about no salad bar anymore ….C’mon we had a house salad that came with my entree and it was abundant, fresh and who needs more than that these days ? Personally I feel salad bars are antiquated and are communal bacteria sesspools . Yuk. Dessert for this girl ended up being a Grasshopper. It had the perfect balance of mint and chocolate. Service was efficient and gracious, I can tell these servers know how to do their job and do it right. Thank You. After dinner I purchased their $100 gift certificate $20 bonus holiday dealio. I can’t wait to go back and try the walleye.

We saw some negative reviews but it was mostly that it wasnt the same as before. Why would it be? Change should be expected and welcomed! The only negative was a couple of entitled and rude guests! And even with how rude these people were to the staff they were treated just as well as the rest of us. So hats off to them! I don't know if I would have the patience that this staffed showed. We've been here numerous times before the ownership change and the food/atmosphere was always good but heavy and leaned traditional German. I never understood the attraction of the salad bar, limited selection and, we'll just leave it at that. The look and ambiance of the new Waller's is excellent and we've been back more times under the new ownership than we ever were as Wallace Lake. Each time we've been greeted promptly with a smile, the updated menu is full of inspired new items (ants on a log, salmon bowl, duck pot pie, mushroom pappardelle, and the nightly specials are soooo good and creative). Whether seated at the bar or a table we've gotten great service from friendly servers, everyone seems to pitch in when they see an empty drink/water glass, clearing plates, running food, it's a well oiled machine. The outside bar and increased seating make lovely summer/fall evenings a treat for an after/before dinner drink and a really unique feature is the pontoon tour of the lake offered before or after your meal. Waller's has been our go to for nights out with other couples and friends and to a person everyone has loved it! Keep up the good work, and see you again soon!

This is our new favorite spot. We have enjoyed this gem of a restaurant more than a few times and will keep going back. We’ve been here about 4 or 5 times since the new owners took over and absolutely love it. You immediately are in awe of the beautiful view outside and the lighting that reminds me of a starry sky.

I had 3 different menu items (one repeated) and everything was so good. Starting with the jalapeño peanut butter poppers. So Thai like!

I’ve had the mushroom pasta dish, burger, grilled cheese with prosciutto and nothing disappointed!

Homemade desserts were unreal good too.

LOVED Waller’s on the Lake!! Since my parents moved to the lake 20 years ago this is exactly what I have been waiting for. The food and service are outstanding!! The renovation really updated the place but the food didn’t match. It was depressing. NOT ANYMORE!! It’s such a beautiful spot and now the food matches!! I had the salmon bowl and it was so fresh. I cannot say enough about this place! Everything was amazing and so many great staff…from the hostess to the bar staff and wait staff it’s fantastic! We even had a great boat ride one of the times I was there (weather permitting of course). The food is incredible-pasta dishes are what I got. WOW so tasty! I’ve been there a few times since the new owners took over and had been there prior to them too and I believe it is so much better now than before (and I loved it before). If you haven’t been please come and experience it - highly recommended!!!

Since the new owners took over, I have to say “wow! What a difference!” Gone are the days of bad customer service and mediocre food. We have been there three times since they rebranded and every time it gets better! The ants on a log appetizer sounds odd but in reality it’s our favorite appetizer!

Their burgers are tasty, juicy and always consistent. Their shrimp scampi is one of my favorites! The baked French onion is flavorful and not overly salted, the crepe cake is light and doesn’t leave you overstuffed (unless you fill up on Wisconsin Donuts first).

They now have fresh made salads, gone is the outdated and questionable salad bar that used to exist in the back corner. Trust me, you won’t miss it if you try the other things on their menu!

Please do yourself a favor and get acquainted or reacquainted with them. You won’t regret it!

Great food, great drinks, great staff. First time here since the new ownership and we were really impressed. Loved the food, please get the deep fried mushrooms, wife had the salmon, she loved it and I had steak, which was amazing. Went to the bar afterwards for some after dinner drinks and both were good. Very disappointed! The new owners took the “Supper Club” vibe out of their model for the restaurant. No salad bar or cheese and cracker appetizer that Wallace Lake Supper Club was known for. I ordered the Pan fried Walleye. I took two bites and picked out 6 bones. It was also very dry. Definitely not worth the $33 menu price! I thought the menu said it was served with a cream sauce but I might be mistaken because there wasn’t anything on the walleye. The waitress offered to replace it with the baked cod. The rest of my family was completely done eating when she brought the cod out. It was in a bake dish with melted butter and covered in capers. It came with a side of asparagus. I could only eat the tips of the asparagus because the rest was very tough. I took 3 bites and was so disappointed with the whole experience that I didn’t eat anymore. The waitress took my meal off of the bill.
On a positive note the baked onion soup was very good. My husband’s prime rib was very good. My daughter and son-in-law had the 6oz steak and they said it was good but nothing special.
It’s really sad that they didn’t follow any of the model that made The Wallace Lake Supper Club so famous. We won’t be back.

1st time coming back with the new name and new owners and unfortunately to our surprise, not much has changed. Prices have seem to go up from the old menu/name and even worse the quality has gone down.

My wife and I arrived a early to grab a drink at the bar before our 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night. No surprise they were busy and we are always very patient on busy nights. We were acknowledged by 1 bartender and we politely told her not a problem. Waited about 10 minutes or so and then we watched another couple sit down across the bar from us. Another 5-6 minutes go by and that same bartender goes to them before coming back to us to serve them drinks 1st. I was a little annoyed but not a huge deal as we were still waiting for others to arrive.

We finally get our drinks (1 bottled beer and 1 old fashion which was made wrong) and the bill was $15. I was a bit shocked but tossed it out as a loss.

Once seated a couple people at our table wanted the prime rib as that is what we went there specifically for but then our waitress looked and sounded confused. She then told us they ran out. So we all had to think of other things to get. Mind you this entire time we've been sitting for aroub 15-20 minutes as the waitress just seemed like she didn't care much to come by and check us.

Once we ordered things got much worse. The dinner salad that a friend ordered ended up coming as an appetizer which was very small. It seemed as though it was a side salad but when she asked the waitress she said that's what it is. We were all confused why they brought her dinner salad as an appetizer when it's clearly on the menu as a dinner option.

When our food finally came out we all instantly could tell something was wrong when the plates were super hot but the food itself was lukewarm at best. The worst part about this entire night is we watched other people sit down after us and were able to get the prime rib. No one likes confrontation so after we paid our bill and got up from our table we immediately found the manager and explained everything.

We just wanted to give feedback as there clearly seems like a disconnect with servers to the kitchen. That or our server just didn't care much. We have no problem paying for high quality food and service but the near $100 dinner was absolutely not worth it.

Sadly I don't think we'll ever come back and that's unfortunate because we like the venue but the food and service were awful.

The scenery was outstanding and the staffed was even better. The food was good all around atmosphere was tremendous. I watched the Northern lights across the water. The staff was so accommodating that near the end of the evening they turned the lights off just so that we can all take pictures with a better view. How great is that.

Beautiful venue with great food and service. We started the evening with a pontoon boat ride with Maxim as our captain. He gave us the history of the lake and he was very pleasant to talk with. We had a party of 4 and we all loved our food from the Wisconsin Donuts, delicious soups, fish dinners and pasta with chicken and shrimp. Every entree was served in a timely fashion by a really nice server, Cierra.

Our first visit was for our 29th anniversary, and we could not be happier. We had window seating with a view of the lake. The interior was warm and welcoming. Rosie was our server, friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was very flavorful and was cooked perfectly. We loved the onion soup, walleye, and prime rib (medium rare) with duck fat fries. We were in our happy place. I'm glad we made reservations. The place was filled with joyful people. My wife and I will definitely return again and again.

The Good and the only reason for a second star is there French onion soup was really good. But I ordered a med/rare ribeye and it came flash fried but ice cold and raw in the center making it uneatable . For the 1st time ever I sent food back to have it cooked more. The potatoes were luke warm at best borderline cold.The owner came out to apologize for the poor food but still charged full price for the discussing food they served. It's safe to say I will not recommend or go back to them. It's sad to see one of my favorite restaurants spots fall so far with the new ownership

Crazy packed, and not a supper club just so you know. Can see the effort of its reincarnation to be more of a fancy, social place but the food and the price isn't there yet. The drinks were well made but long wait for everything including water, and the service, you can see the care from some, but others no. My husband and I had a date night here. The host was friendly, our server was excellent and my mushroom panini was delicious. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband asked for a medium burger and his was well done. He was hungry and didn't want to wait for another. If you haven't been to Waller's on the Lake, you're missing out, Foodie Family! We were there for the first time last night and they did an amazing job from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted immediately by our friend Beth Rose and offered a drink from the bar, and if we wanted, we could take a relaxing history tour on the pontoon around the lake. YES, we certainly did! I highly encourage you to take the boat ride because it was both relaxing and extremely interesting—Captain Maxim Zernia really knows this lake's history.

For dinner, we decided to try a range of options from starters that could have been considered dessert to some interesting new options we haven't had before! Everything was really delicious and we had no complaints at our table. My favorite item was for sure the Wisconsin Donuts! A Wisconsin cheese curd with a light and crispy funnel cake breading, served with house-made raspberry sauce. Absolutely delicious—you could start and finish a meal with an order of these treats. The Beet Salad was also a table pleaser, and Jake's PB Poppers were a hit.

I had the Blackened Shrimp Bowl and Anne ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken. Our friends went with the Honey Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Cheesy Truffle Orecchiette. As I mentioned, we were a happy group because everything was delicious.

Save room for their made-in-house dessert specials as well. We will be back for more soon!

They have their official grand opening this Saturday starting at 4 PM, so why not head over and check them out? Even though they are already open, we think a celebration is in order! My husband’s perch was very good, as were his fries. Our server, Deana, was wonderful - as she always is!! It was nice that one of the owners stopped to say hello and thank us for stopping in. First time eating at this establishment. We had reservations for this evening (Thursday) at 6 pm. We were seated immediately and only sat for 5 minutes before our server came and took our drink and appetizer order. Three of us dined and we ordered a fourth meal for take out. The food was excellent! I had the blackened salmon bowl with French onion soup, my son had the Waller burger and my friend had the broiled salmon entree with a salad. Everything came out within a reasonable time and the takeout order came out just as we were finishing our last drinks. Service was also great. Prices were reasonable for what we got and the takeout meal (a 6 oz steak with sides) was done to perfection and tender enough to be cut with a regular table knife. I recommend this new dining experience and will return. We definitely look forward to the pontoon ride!

We got seated right away on a Friday night with no reservation. Took a little bit to get our food but it didn't phase us at all. Pretty average all around. The food was OK, but way overpriced for the quality and quantity. My sister ordered a steak that ended up costing around $70 and didn't even want to finish it. The menu is written very poorly. I ordered an entree, which was suppose to include soup or salad, bread, and a potato. The entree I chose was a chicken alfredo. The server claimed that because it already had pasta, which is a carb, they wouldn't give me the potato as well. Nowhere on the menu did it say anything about that item not including potato, so it was misleading. The salad bar was ok, but they claim it is a world famous salad bar that costs $14. I've seen better salad bars at pizza buffets. It is also set up that unless you have long arms, there is no way you are reaching the things in the back. If you don't mind burning money, this place isn't bad, but you can get a better, more affordable experience elsewhere.

Running out of prime rib, When it’s the restaurants specialty, on a Saturday night at 7:30 is the main reason I’m giving them a two star review.
