Amazing event space!!!! When I lived in Sauk, I loved this cocktail bar and restaurant when they first opened. Last weekend we hosted my sisters wedding shower there and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We had a sort of last minute turn around in planning this occasion and Jesse helped make it all happen!! He accommodated a weekend for us even though it was close to the event date, and pulled everything together quickly and efficiently. Super accommodating, super reasonable price for what an amazing space this is, wonderful array of food options, and cocktail and drink options. We rented the Speakeasy for the evening and it was perfect - plenty of space yet still quaint. Amazing view of the river. They also allowed us to rent the patio space which was a 10/10 hit for everyone. The space comes with two private bathrooms and a private entry to the outdoor space which was perfect. I genuinely can’t say enough great things about this place or their people. Tricia helped plan the event also, and was on-site working that evening and she was amazing. SUCH AN UNDERRATED PLACE!!!!! I don’t know how it’s still such a hidden gem??? soooo grateful we were able to celebrate here. Everything was above & beyond. Can’t say thanks enough to Jesse, Tricia, and the whole team there. Our guests all raved about the space too & expressed future events they’d love to host there. THANK YOU WATER STREET SOCIAL!!!!!

Held our daughter and son-in-law's rehearsal dinner here last night. Their Speakeasy Room was perfect for our group of 35. Beautiful room and view of the water. The food was out of this world, and everyone went for seconds at the buffet. Jesse was so wonderful and easy to work with, and he happily worked within our budget. He was very prompt in his replies to any questions I had! Highly recommend this gem of a place for small events!!

This is a much-needed addition to Sauk Prairie! The Water Street Social Club has quickly become a favorite for its incredible food and great vibe. Their brunch is to die for—the Water Street Benedict and breakfast bowls are highlights, but honestly, everything we’ve tried has been delicious and priced perfectly for the quality. The cocktails and drink selection are another highlight! The atmosphere is top-notch, and we especially love sitting on the patio to enjoy the river view. It’s more than just a restaurant, though. Owners Tricia and Jesse have created a true community hub with live music, performances, classes, and other great events. We're so grateful to have this place!

We are so happy this restaurant is open again. Eating and drinking on their beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the Wisconsin river is such a treat. We have been several times since they opened and they keep getting better and better! The drinks were so tasty and the food was outstanding. We started with a delicious bowl of cauliflower soup, followed with a chicken pesto pizza and Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken. The crust on the pizza was perfect- crispy and chewy- and the toppings were generous and so good. The Mac and cheese was so creamy with just the right amount of buffalo sauce on the chicken. This is the best place to eat in town!

Waited one hour and ten minutes for wait staff. I used the specials menu to take everyone’s order at the table (5 people) gave it to bartender/waiter, he told another server, he thought we handed him scratch paper. We were finally brought a glass of water and turned away because of short staffing. Will not return 😑

Fantastic spot! Hidden gem right along the Wisconsin River. We hosted a birthday party there and had about 75 people in attendance. The venue was perfect and we loved the indoor/outdoor entertainment space. Food and drinks were top notch. Everyone at the party had a great time and kept asking me how we found the place! Staff was wonderful and were very attentive to details. The planning process with Jesse and his team was fantastic, they were very helpful, accommodating and really great to work with! Highly recommend Water Street Social Club!!

Absolutely the best food in town. We stopped last night for dinner and burgers and pizza were amazing! The soup though stole the show. Delicious shrimp chowder that tasted homemade. Everything was fresh and you could tell the ingredients were quality l! The drinks were great too! Our server Chance was polite and friendly. We will definitely be going back. Finally this town has some good food and the prices were not high compared to the quality of the food. Their patio is perfect for a summer night.

Nice place! Our server was great and the food was as well. One of the best smash burgers I have ever had. My slaw was really good too. A great selection of drinks in the restaurant. Prices are not over the top for food or drink. There's also a "speak easy" in the back with other cocktails! Super cool! And if you need a to-go box, it is paper not styrofoam. Yay, non plastics!

Jesse always communicated quickly and clearly, and ensured we had all we needed in order to create the vision we had for our event in the Speakeasy room! He was very accommodating with our budget and menu which made planning easy and stress free. The food was incredible for our event; I couldn't have asked for more! The BRUNCH is so fresh and delicious. The menus are well thought out and made with high quality food. The specials are always worth trying. The Veggie Burger is also incredible, which is rare! This place is new and they are doing their best to create something Sauk Prairie doesn’t have. Different food, nightlife and cocktails. It’s tough to get things right 100% of the time. The owners are great and personable, and do so much but their other staff- not so much.
I’ve been here several times and in my honest opinion they need to master basics before they try to do all this fancy stuff. Their food menu changes a lot, and the prices are very high for what you get, but the taste is good!
Consistency is key. On new years, one of the owners made me an incredible gin martini. Last week, their other bartender made one with a whole shot of vermouth in it and it was undrinkable. He never asked how my drink was. No one checked in on us. As a bartender I believe a 2 minute check back is so important.
I’ve also been here where I’ve waited 10-15 minutes for a drink because their cocktail menu is so vast, it’s great to appeal to a lot of variety but when bartenders are bogged down with complicated drinks, and can’t take a new order, it can be frustrating.
In short, reliable staff, menus, and consistent product will go so far for water street!
I’ve never been there for their music or sat on their patio so I’m excited to try again and hope they continue to listen and improve. I genuinely want them to succeed!

I had dinner here on New Year's Eve, I always try to support local businesses, I live 5-6 miles out of Sauk Prairie. I ordered the prime rib dinner & had to send it back to the kitchen. One of the owners, who was bartending, never asked me how I wanted my prime rib cooked when I placed the order. That's the first time ever I've not been asked how I wanted the meat cooked. The first time the meat came out came out red, I know I'm in the minority here but I want my beef cooked medium well & at $50.00 per meal it should be to the customer's liking. I even had to send back the supposed "creamy horseradish sauce" bc it did not taste like horseradish sauce, finally after 3 tries they got it right. The garlic mashed potatoes & baby carrots were good but the hassle I had with the prime rib & creamy horseradish sauce makes me NOT want to come back to the Water Street Social Club. They need to improve their kitchen, chefs before I come back, they're too inexperienced in that area.Service was ok, their signature old fashioned didn't have much a taste to it. When you're a restaurant in WI you got to know how to make a decent old fashioned!

Unfortunately I can’t rate the food. I had been wanting for a few weeks to go to WSSC. On Nov 1, I arrived and waited at the “Wait to be Seated” sign. Many open tables and multiple open seats at the bar. About 30 seconds later someone came by and said “I’ll be with you in a moment.” I continued to wait while multiple staff members passed by without inquiring further. The initial staff member passed by three times and I watched her stop to speak with other staff members and the bartender. 10 minutes (I checked my watch) passed while I stood there simply wanting a seat at the bar before I left. It’s unfortunate and I am far less excited about this relatively new place than I was a week ago. While I may try again, it will be when it’s convenient because I’m nearby vs driving specifically to go there as I had done.

Third time I've been here with similar service results. This time I ordered a gin and tonic with 2 olives, their meat dumplings and the nightly special meat loaf.
The drink came without olives (I gave it a pass since not many ask for them). Then the main meal came before the dumplings. The waitress asked if I needed anything else; I said my dumplings. Soon the dumplings came but they were potato, not beef. She offered to get me beef but by that time I was nearly done with my main dish and declined. They still charged for the dumplings which I hardly touched.
Staff training on accuracy and how to handle messed up deliveries a must here.
The meat loaf was tasty, so it wasn't a complete mess up.

Water Street Social has nailed the formula for 2024 PUB.

The first thing they did right was not call it a PUB. Which in Europe is a public house for socializing with the village or neighborhood you resided in. That is the definition of what WSS is, it is a place you can go as an adult, or as a parent with your kids, and still be entertained by what/who you find there.

Atmosphere, fantastic upscale social club vibe, with trivia every other Tuesday, and Karoake when trivia is not happening. They also have a room dedicated to board games. The views of the river are amazing, and a sunset at the speakeasy is a must! (Ask about the speakeasy).

The service was friendly, engaging and willing to take special requests! The knowledgeable mixologist can make up what you're craving, but you have to try something from the drink menu. Adorned with drinks like Hemingway's breakfast, Sage before beauty, and the Locheness Martini, you'll be hard pressed to miss on a specialty drink.

Sadly I missed the food, but I'll be back to try it on what I had smelled from the kitchen alone.

Overall, Water Street Social breathes a different style of life into a building that's struggled since COVID shut things down. If I were passing through Prairie Du Sac, I would have missed something if I didn't stop.

What a fun spot. The views outside of the river area set the stage for a relaxing meal. The variety on the menu makes it fun to return . We've had an early dinner, brunch and snacks and drinks. All have been enjoyable with our favorite being their brunch. For Bruch my husband enjoyed the bananas foster pancakes. I ate the poached eggs with bacon jam a salad and hollandaise sauce on the side. Both meals were exceptional . My eggs were perfectly poached, and I do mean perfectly! The bacon jam added just a hint of sweet. The thinly sliced ham was so much better than the typical Canadian bacon. The hollandaise was also excellent. Sometimes hollandaise can be gloopy. This was not.

The Bananas Foster pancakes were also exceptional. The locally sources flour made the pancakes light and fluff. The sauce that came with the pancakes took things over the top. The bacon was thick cut and smokey adding a nice touch to the dish. Add to that the Bloody Mary cocktails and you have a special breakfast for sure. Our server, Cristy was great. She was efficient, pleasant and helpful.

We've also.eaten the Russian dumplings, the deviled eggs, and the mahi mahi tacos. Each of these items were a fun eat and prepared in a way you don't typically see in the area. If you add in one of the signature cocktails like the Notorious Pig and you'll find the Water Street Social Club a special experience.

The food was just awful. Since when does a fish taco have dried up shredded fish? The server tried her best but we had already waited an hour to get food and she was in tears over the people next to us as their food ticket was completely lost. Enjoyed a light dinner out with the family. The terrace out back was nice and cozy with a view of the river. Drinks were unique and the Kuzco’s Poison was a huge hit with the Disney lover. The grazing board was perfect for the three of us to share, and would have easily covered four people. The main course (sliders, pel’meni, summer pasta) were exactly as described and tasty. Had a chance to visit Water St Social Club, along the river in Sauk Prairie neighborhood. It has a cool vintage atmosphere; including a speak easy, balcony and gorgeous tiered patio. The drinks were amazing, the food was delicious and I can’t say enough about the friendly and attentive staff. I can’t wait to go again!
