What a delightful resort to unwind, kick back, and, as the kids say, CHILLAX. Located off the ole beaten path, you can guarantee you are in a peaceful location with a view you can’t beat of ye olde marina looking over the lake. Rooms were clean, the prices were great, it was so comfortable, great landscaping and design, and you can’t beat a porch over the LUXURIOUS WATER. Only cons were the slime we saw in the ice machine that was concerning so we didn’t partake in the ice and that they seemed to unfortunately be understaffed because you had to call the bar manager for any help. But that is no problem for our stay. Well. Maybe just the ice machine. But the hot tub and sauna room was a DELIGHT and nice and hot and clean. Like how I like my… NEVERMIND. GREAT JOB WAVE POINTE.

Wonderful resort with added bonus of a marina. We spent a week here, fishing and golfing. The meals that we had were top notch and all food and drink prices are quite reasonable. Hats off to the chef! Kelly, our server most evenings, is terrific! Aaron, on the other hand, not so much. Would definitely come back!

Now they have new owners that are not the best. we wanted to come and just fish for a little bit and check the place out and unfortunately the new rules of course coming to make sure that you don’t finish there and there are a few really welcome to the whole place so I’ll definitely never come back but maybe some people are interested good for them, but that was my last time here thank you

We stayed here at a family reunion. On arrival we were told that the elevator was broken. Not ideal, since we had our elderly mom with us and our room was located on the second floor. There is another flight of stairs to the pool level, so someone was always accompanied our mom as we could not let her to use stairs alone. The rooms were not clean. We had to ask to replace a pillow because it had weird stains on it. The restaurant was closed at 8pm, so there is zero option to eat dinner after 8. The personal needs training as we were waited to be seated only to be told the restaurant is closed. There is no sign to show what time restaurant nor bar is open.
The resort provides pool towels (could not find this information anywhere before arrival).
You can only book this resort by calling. My original email is still unanswered. Why?
People reserve chairs at the pool and not come back to use it. The whole set of table with chairs and umbrella was reserved and noone showed up.

That was a new one for me. The rumor was that ownership changed over the past week and they laid off a bunch of people. I will not return.

Went to eat dinner with family to Wave Point Resort. Menu was nothing like their website stated. Appears that they are under new ownership as of 2 weeks ago. Menu was very limited. Burgers, hot dogs, Quesada, special was broasted chicken. Also assorted appetizers. Appetizers that were ordered came with the meal, instead of before it. Had to ask 2 different waitstaff for silverware. Quesada shell was burnt, meat not thoroughly cooked, chicken seemed like it was deep fried twice, mashed potatoes cold. Made our complaint to waitress, she offered her apologies, no management came out reference out complaint. Also had to wait more that 30 minutes for our meal. Bar had booming business with 5 bar staff; accordion player was to load.

Perfect place to explore door county from then come back for a boat ride or a dip in the pool hope to be back soon.

This place is great if you are either staying on the water, or just spending a good amount of time on the water. Rooms are clean, and well appointed. The local boat launch is next door, there's a gas dock if you need it, and it appears they even have a launch here, although the desk staff isn't so inviting or helpful to answer questions about it. It seems that I could launch a 25' boat here without much issue although there's no immediate dock to pull up to after dropping the boat in. There's rocks on the pine side and a rescue boat on the other side. Granted that rescue boat is a zodiac type so it's basically a giant bumper, but trying to navigate that on your own isn't really ideal. Having someone driving the boat immediately as it's floating would be the solution. There's a restaurant and bar on site, but it's closed Monday and Tuesday, even in the peak boating season, which is unfortunate. This place is a little more remote than most all door county places, so there's not a lot of options on either of those 2 days to get food unless you go into Sturgeon Bay, which really isn't that far. It's definitely nice and quiet, despite a couple of kids that still managed to run around the building despite there being a rule about that. There's tons of parking, and even an overflow lot for your boat trailer, which is a big deal for those of us that tow a lake Michigan worthy boat with our vehicles. This was our first time here, hopefully I learn more about it, especially the on site launch.

Very disappointed by this Marina. As a transient boater, the fuel dock attendant was great. That's it. No food or bar service, no vending machines, nothing. The nearest food delivery was 4 miles away The management needs to at least provide basics for short term boaters

Have been going to this place on and off for yrs. Was disappointed that on Monday & Tuesday there isn't anyplace to eat or drink because the restaurant and bar are closed. The resort is amazing! A great place to stay for relaxing! The rooms are spectacular. It’s nice to have hot tub right in your own suite. Having a full kitchen is amazing. We love to be able to cook our own food right at the resort and relaxing in the outdoor pool. The location isn’t ideal. 30-45 minutes from some of the local wineries and shops but atmosphere is gorgeous. It’s a quiet area away from heavy commercialized areas.

My wife and I went in wave point to see if it might be a good place to stay next year, We drove around the area and then stopped in to the restaurant around 130-2 on Sunday Sept 12, 2021. I have heard that things had change there and I had not been there in maybe 10 years.||It wasn't busy I think 3 people at the bar and 1 other table inside.||We sat down at a table and no one came to our table for 15 min,||then a busser said some one would be with us soon from the distance.||Then 10 more min. a woman came from in the back and was rude.||said how can I help you.||My wife ask for what the Sauv blanc brand was and she said it doesnt matter and she would look, then left. I got up and left and told her we were going into town and she had something smart to say. We went to Inn at Cedar Crossing and had a great meal. When I told the server there how we were treated she stated they have had a lot of problems and most locals wont go there. I did leave a message for the Gm and as of today I havent received a call back.||||I wont go back, there is plenty of places that are better

Perfect weather, small quiet resort away from the chaos of downtown and other towns up the peninsula. Resort is showing it age (dated decor, dirty carpet, black mold coming out of jacuzzi jets, blinds missing from bedrooms). Rented a boat for the day it was great and the staff with the boat were great to work with . We then went to dinner and it went down hill. The food is pricey for bar food. Most of my family thought the food was ok. My salad was horrible! I ordered a BLT salad no real bacon in it . After I complained they brought me real bacon, you can tell it had been sitting around . Also some of the greens in the salad went bad and I had to pick through it to eat it , until I took a bite of bad lettuce. I only ate 1/4 of the salad. They apologized for the bacon , but did nothing about me not being able to eat it . Didn’t offer me anything else or take it off the bill. Would come back for the Marina , but never for the food again. Giving 3 stars because of the boat employees and the service they provided . If I rated on the boat I would give them a 5 .If I was rating on just the restaurant it would give it a 2 .
