Been wanting to try Wiggly for a while and finally got out and about today. The atmosphere was inviting and not crowded. Everyone was extremely nice and made you feel welcomed. We got 2 fish dinners. One was the Wiggly fish fry the other was Haddock platter. The fish was really good and the portions were great for the price. I would go here again. Very nice experience and good food at a great price.

Go someplace else. Go to establishment first sat for 1/2 hour before was asked what I wanted to drink. Said I would like some food what's available was told everything then when I requested an item was told don't have that all gone then asked for another item was told dont have that it's all gone. Then I said just make a burger was sitting for about another 20 minutes and was told they hadn't started it yet. Then I said haven't started it yet?? So I said sheesh bartender/cook cops and attitude I then said what I owe you for the drinks I'm going someplace else wouldn't tell me and I left what I thought was close from what other bars charge and left

Went for some fish on a busy Friday night, around 5:00. Two of us ordered fish fries, one of us boneless chicken. Food came out in a decent amount of time (20 minutes) but by that time the chicken was only lukewarm, but still tasty. Fish fries were another story. I’m simply not understanding the rave reviews on the fish because ours was terrible. It was breaded (not battered) and was dry in texture with little actual taste. Will still be back for food in the future, but it won’t be for fish. The saving grace was the attentiveness of our server. She was very good.

This bar/restaurant boasts two indoor and two outdoor volleyball courts. Servers were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was average. Alittle disappointed with the visit tonight. Came to order a fish fry for my wife and I with a side salad and two appetizers. The waitress took our order and brought out the salad. She came by and asked if our appetizers came out and we said no and then our meal came out. We again asked about our appetizers and told the waitress we didn't want them anymore. She came back and let us know that they were slow in the kitchen and they were just put in. I told her again we didn't want them. To be honest they were forgotten but the waitress never apologized. My boyfriend and I decided to go to go for dinner here and ordered some cheese curds for dinner as our appetizer and to our surprise it was a small portion of cheese curds pretty much for the price of $11! I have worked at food industries and even their sizes and portions of cheese curds were not only more portioned but also cheaper and especially locally made. When we got our food, my boyfriend grabbed the A1 sauce to put on his burger and to our surprise there was mold growing on the bottle. After we had left, I had thrown up multiple times from my boneless wings and my boyfriend had diarrhea from his burger that had grey on the inside. This was the worst food we had ever had, I don’t usually write reviews but that was such a horrible experience and I am beyond sick from the food I had.

We regularly go to wiggly for a quick drink or bite to eat, and the service is always great! However, this past Friday (3/15)we stopped by around 9pm and it appeared all of the bartenders were drunk. One girl took our drink order and then walked away and never came back and then took other people’s orders and served them. The guy who looked like the cook served us and apologized for not hearing properly and his excuse was he’s been drinking so he was not “that aware”. Overall it seemed like the younger staff was all incoherent and it was not a pleasant experience.

Wiggly's Field has the best chicken wings in Wausau and has become my girlfriend and I's go to place as of recently. Their offer a .50 cent wing deal on Sundays with no takeout but that's fine as the wings are worth finishing in one sitting. Their offer multiple flavors but I recommend Tropical Habanero. They have a full-size bar, pool tables, dart boards and an indoor volleyball court. Our waitress was very prompt and made sure we were aware of the deals going on. I highly recommend and will be looking to try their Friday fish fry as their offer a Cajun option.

Great food and staff. The fish fry is everyday and on Friday’s they have a bigger selection for fish. The place has volleyball courts in the back with seating to watch the games which is really great. Pricing is decent as well. Cheese curds are also really good here.

If your looking for a good place eat I’d recommend here any day, but if it’s a Friday even more so. Just know there is a charge for credit cards when you pay.

I migrated south after living in the Wausau area for 30+ years, and no trip back home is complete without a stop at Wiggly for the BEST fish fry in town! It’s always fresh, flavorful, never dry, and served up with a hearty side of well done (per my request) crinkle cut fries! I grew up and Wiggly was called "BirchBranchBar". When I graduated it was Wiggly field. During the mid 90's I was not a big fan of the way that bar was....
Moved back here a few years ago and visited Wiggly for the 1st time in years.

I wish I got their names but the 2 ladies that were working Sunday night 3/6/22, one of them had their boyfriend there and all she did was sit and drink with them instead of serving her customers. I mean you’re on the clock you should be working & the other lady bartender was just serving one table and forgetting about everyone else that was sitting by the door and by the slot machine. It took about 1hour and 30mins just to flag them down to get drinks for us! I hope this does not happen again. We love wiggles and we never had any problems like this before with the old bartender he was amazing!!!!!

As a group of moms and grandmas (ages 40+) in the Wausau area for Wisc. State bowling tourny. Stopped in for a late Saturday night dinner around 7:30ish. Best part was our friendly waitress. Food was okay but nothing special. Burgers were cooked well done instead of medium rare. Giant pretzel appetizer tasted great but butter was running off the serving tray all over the waitress hands and our table. Music was loud, some patrons were not friendly (staring, pointing at our group), some were too friendly. Might be able to attribute the patrons attitude to alcohol since there had been a day long charity volleyball tournament. Definitely not a place to dine if you have younger kids in tow and if this is the standard clientele.

We’ve played volleyball at wiggly for years and the reffing for the fall league is absolutely terrible. Emily doesn’t make any obvious calls and uses a whistle app on her phone, which she looks at while we’re playing (if we get confused if it was her whistle she gets angry at us). Tonight the team we played forfeited & I let her know we were going to get next weeks team to play, so we could keep the schedule moving. She told me to talk to the bar once we had it figured out, since they are the “decision makers”. Emily proceeded to call the 10 o’clock teams to play at 9 without telling us. When it came to game time, she told our team that we weren’t playing even though the other team came to play early. I talked to the bar and they said the refs are the “decision makers”. Needless to say our team wasted 2 and a half hours waiting to play and ended up driving home (some 30+ minutes away). DO NOT recommend playing volleyball here if Emily is reffing. This has never been a problem in the past. Communication needs to be fixed.
