If you’re coming in a group to tube, bring plenty of sunscreen and/or sun shirts. Cooler of drinks and snacks. A speaker for music, dry bags for phones and such, and wear water shoes.

I’ve been coming to Wildwood Outdoor Adventures for over 13 years, and every visit is just as amazing as the first. Most recently, we went kayaking down the Wisconsin River and had an absolutely perfect day. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful—from the moment you check in to when you wrap up your adventure. Their customer service is truly top-notch, and you can tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great time. Amazing time! My friends and I went tubing with this amazing company and enjoyed a long float down the river. When I thought the experience couldn’t get better, two amazing employees, Lexi and Reese, offered to introduce us to the “big boss”. They led us to the back where Lexi introduced us to a large rat wearing a well tailored suit and cowboy hat. Reese began explaining that his name was Mr. Stink and he ran a chain of tubing stores in the area. Mr. Stink said that he could speak for himself and explained that he was delighted that we had such an amazing expirience and wanted to reward us with heaps of smoked cheddar for a good word with our friends. Delighted, we accepted, and Mr Stink lent a helping hand in loading the cheese into the back of the truck. Amazing service and an even better time. Thank you especially to Lexi, Reese, and Mr Stink the “big boss”. 10/10!!

This was the best lazy river experience I’ve ever had. The tubes were incredible, the water the beautiful, and the sun was shining. After our tube ride, we were offered free ice cream from Reese and Lexi! I thought the flavors were going to be basic, but I was pleasantly surprised when the flavors turned out to be extraordinary! They offered me a sample of river water sorbet, a fantastic delicacy in the north woods, I’m told. I was also able to sample the eagle river tubing special. I didn’t know what this flavor was. When I asked, they told me about the special flavor. The eagle river tubing special is concocted specially only during a full moon in The Eagle River. When a man with six fingers brings his tube onto the eagle river, and recites a special incantation, the bald eagle of eagle river flies over and leaves his special droppings in the tube of the man with six fingers. Upon this, the man recites another incantation, and receives the divine recipe for the ice cream. Then, the man is carried upon a silver bed unto the wildwood ice cream shop, recites the recipe in perfect French, and the French ice cream chef creates the recipe. Reese recounted this story to me only after I told her the secret password, which can only be found when one truly believes in the mystery of the eagle river.

Campground review (I did not have any experience with the adventure/tubing side).

We stayed at Wildwood campground for our annual extended family camping trip. My family has camped for several years in Eagle River at a different campground; this was the first experience at WOA. This summer we are full time campers while waiting for our new house, so we are staying at many campgrounds over a 3 month period (from municipal no services/utilities to full hook ups with scheduled activities day and night).

We were in a premium full hook up site, which I was told a premium site meant large and level. It was large but not level. We liked our location (site 42) and there are many sites to choose from.

I appreciated the laundry ($15 for 2 hours, $25 for 4). Note: there are 2 sets of hot point appliances and I found the wash to take 45-50 minutes, and the dryer 50 minutes plus hanging time.

The playground has a little tykes house, a toddler swing/slide set, two swings, a tetherball, and a large climber. My kids are 5/7/10, so they had some fun but were not excited about the playground overall. On a hot day there was an offer sent out for water balloons and squirt guns.

You can ask for a wifi code, it wasn't strong enough to stream but helps with Internet searching.

The campground is within 10 minutes of town, which was nice. There is water access, maybe it was the time of year but we did not swim in the water - check out Silver Lake Beach for clear water and a defined swimming area. You can rent a boat slip, I do not know the price however.

The site fee is for up to four people, regardless of immediate family or not. We are a family of 5, so we had to pay a surcharge for one of our kids to stay. This honestly really bothers me and I wish any campground that doesn't include all immediate family members would revise this policy. You may need to pay a site lock fee. I booked over the phone to avoid online booking fees.

There is a charge per night per pet.

A bundle of wood was $10+ tax.

Shower house was tidy and free. There is a tip box outside.

The office is very separate to the campground so it's not the type of campground to hang out at the office on a hot day. The overall feel I got was there is a cafe/store (has lots of outdoor seating with shades), an outdoors activity business, and the campground on site.

Overall, we were there to visit with family and for that I am thankful. However for the price to amenities (approx $450-$500 for 6 nights), we will not plan to visit again.

I would recommend renting one of their secure and water proof bags for keys and electronics. They offer three person canoes as well as several kayak models. Parking is just fine. I'm so glad I found this place. Not only is nice, quiet and clean, but all staff I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Great place to camp if you love water adventures! Had many options to choose from. The staff was amazing and super super nice!! Not a single thing to complain about for the staff members. My bf and I were gonna go tubing with our group, he ended up getting sick right before our shuttle took us to the river. They said they will come back for us if he seemed better after they dropped off our group. Another staff member came back from what I assume was dropping off a group before ours and asked my bf if he needed water or anything since he wasn’t feeling well. Very polite. We ended up not going and went to see if we could get our payment back since we didn’t go. Since it was last minute, they could only do in store credit. No big deal! Very friendly. They also have ice cream, drinks, and Jell-O shots! Which are strong and delicious by the way! If you purchase firewood, they deliver it to your campsite. We were checked up on multiple times, making sure our trip was going well, which it was! Also they are very good at keeping the bathrooms and showers clean. I swear every hour someone came by to check up on the shower house/restrooms! Very refreshing to see. They have a cool spiderweb climbing rope in the playground area too! Only thing I didn’t like was that the roads are gravel. But that’s a minor issue.

We visit every year for a tubing trip and we have a fantastic time! Greg was our diver this time and was amazing! A good driver makes or breaks a trip and Greg certainly made our trip!

We had a fantastic time on a tube trip with a large group of 14 people. The whole trip was easy on us, no one was rushing us to get ready faster and the whole staff made it super easy and I would like to give each of them 5 stars. We did the float, then came back ate pizzas and each person got to go in the dunk tank. How fun. Great operation running out of the Northwoods. Go in and support this awesome team. Owner was cool and chatted us up as well. Definitely a must-do for any active style family.

I can't say enough great things about Wildwood. From before we arrived, Nicole was eager to help our group coordinate a camping trip. From picking the campsites next to the playground for the kids to arranging all the families on multiple rafting trips, her attention to detail was incredible. When we got to the campground, we found that all the staff was just as friendly and accommodating. Coordinating 15 people can be difficult, but they were all so helpful and patient. The activities for both adults and children were awesome. We went tubing and kayaking and Jason was very helpful in guiding us to the best places to kayak to. They also had group activities throughout the day, similar to a resort. The facilities were super clean. Before we left, we all agreed we loved it so much we are going to make Wildwood our new annual location for camping. Thanks to everyone there for making our trip so special. Can't wait to see all the additions next year.

We were met with extremely friendly and positive staff. Took the time to explain exactly what to expect and made sure we were comfortable. Extremely respectful and amazing customer service. Canoes were clean and in great quality, and they have nice shuttle vehicles to take you to the start. There was a miscommunication with the pick up spot (it was our fault not theirs), and they still offered to make up for the extended wait time with complementary ice cream and a sincere apology. Had not had the pleasure of such great service in a long time, so it was really refreshing and made the whole experience THAT much better.

My brother and I just spent a few nights camping at Wildwood Outdoor Adventures and had a great time! The staff was super helpful - Jason was great and had some good fishing tips. John, Greg, and Jesse were all nice and went out of their way to make the stay a good time. Definitely would recommend camping here. Fishing was pretty good below the dam on the Wisconsin river

We rented kayaks from Wildwood. Everyone working there was so nice and helpful. They explained all the package options, made sure we knew how to navigate and took us to our drop off point. Afterwards, they picked us up within minutes. They also recommended local places to eat along our route. And before we left, invited us to return for fun and games that evening. The rental pricing is great..less than we expected. Even gear in their shop was priced fairly. Very positive experience.
