I would do terrible things for their lemongrass beef. The food is so good and not the westernized Cantonese dishes that every other joint has, plus they give you quite a bit of food and especially the protein, most places skimp out because beef is expensive. Does William do that? Nah, he slaps down a serving and a half. It is a little bit pricey but for quality and quantity of food, you really won’t be disappointed. Hands down the best Asian restaurant in the twin ports area.

I Love finding little hole-in-the-wall places that serve great food. This is a true Mom-n-Pop gem. I worked for a similar style restaurant on the west coast for a few years, and this is as good, if not better, than the vast majority of Asian fusion places out west, in Superior of all places. I had the Korean short ribs with fried rice, which comes in a bowl style with veggies and fish sauce...excellent dish. The kids loved the food and the rangoons were easily the best I have ever had.

I was surprised to see a restaurant rated this highly, and I must say it did not disappoint! The Mongolian Beef was fantastic and a very generous portion, more than enough for leftovers. Stopped, on a whim, on our way out of town, and wow—we’ll definitely be back! The portions were huge, and the flavors were amazing. We got the egg rolls, crab wontons, chicken with mixed vegetables, ginger chicken, and chicken fried rice. I was a little iffy about this place at first because of the name, but wow—they totally proved me wrong! As soon as we walked in, it smelled like they could use a bit more ventilation, but you could tell something tasty was cooking. The staff was friendly and took our order right away.

The food came out hot and fresh from the wok—so good! Portions were solid, and everything tasted super authentic Chinese/Vietnamese. My husband got the short ribs and wouldn’t stop talking about how delicious they were. Definitely my new go-to spot whenever I’m in Duluth!

I was drawn by the interesting name of the place, and then all the five star reviews. I understand why all of the good reviews.

First of all, going into the place, I noticed two things: it was extremely neat and clean, and it smelled AMAZING. Picked up two banh mi sandwiches, which were only $7/apiece, which is hard to beat these days. They were made fresh in the open, stainless steel kitchen, and I was very impressed with both of them. Highly recommended!

After disappointing-to-terrible experiences at every Chinese takeout restaurant in Duluth, we ventured to Superior.

My partner and I have lived in Reno, New York, Boston, DC, and the Cities, and we both agreed this hole in the wall in Superior has the best Chinese takeout we’ve ever had. Portions are big, food is fresh, and the restaurant was sparkling clean. And when I say it’s sparkling clean, I mean I have contamination OCD and I would still eat there without anxiety.

Superb food! The first thing you'll notice is their menu is fairly small. I believe this helps a lot with consistent quality... because boy is this high quality!

We ordered the stir fry noodles with chicken (spicy) and the chicken with lemongrass on vermicelli. Both were very flavorful. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken soo tender - huge pieces! The stir fry noodles were absolutely the best noodles I've had in years. We also got the egg rolls and they were super crispy... I would venture to guess they are made in house. We got beef fried rice as well - very good!

Two noodle entrees, a big order of fried rice and an appetizer came to $50. I'd say it was worth it over the less expensive places because it was that good.

I don't think we'll ever go back to the other asian places when we want a noodle dish. I definitely want to try other menu items!

My friend Marvin recommended this place (by posting pics of his food on the facebooks) and I'm so glad he did. I'm not sure how long it'd have taken me to find it myself. The food is delicious! (From a couple of weeks ago) The food was absolutely phenomenal. So delicious! The owners are so hardworking and you can tell they pour their heart and soul into their kitchen every single day. I ordered a pho to-go and it was given to me with the noodles and broth separately. I told the lady that I wasn't from the area and was going to eat it at the basketball game I was on my way to. The problem was that the noodles and veggies were in a regular styrofoam container and I didn't want to wait until I got to the game to mix them together (fearing that the broth would get too cold). The lady quickly gave me a black reusable tupperware container, mixed the broth and noodles together for me, AND added MORE broth to the broth container. It was so unexpected and I still think about this experience today. They served me and my family with so much kindness. They deserve all the business they can get. That's why I'm still here writing this review weeks after my experience.

Tried William Asian Food To Go for the first time yesterday, and it was terrific! Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. It all looked good, so I asked for their recommendation, and they recommended B3, which is Sườn Nướng, an authentic Vietnamese breakfast of grilled pork chop, opla (fried egg) over white rice, with fish sauce and a carrot, cucumber and tomato salad on the side. It was delicious! I had never had a grilled pork chop before and it was wonderful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. And the fish sauce was a great addition mixed in with the white rice. All their food looks wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try their banh mi sandwich next time, it looked delicious!

The service was wonderful. William was cooking and his wife ran the front counter, and their two kids were coming and going in and out of the kitchen. The food was all fresh and delicious. They had videos playing on big screen TVs of travelers eating in Ho Chi Minh City, and it felt like I was right there dining in Vietnam!

Fun fact: Opla is a Vietnamese word derived from the French term for fried egg, “Oeufs au Plats”.

The service was great. There were a couple people waiting on orders when I got there. I ordered my food and we received it in about 15 minutes. The kitchen looked very clean and you can see them prep the food.

I ordered the banh mi combination sandwich ($6!!) and egg rolls. Both were delicious. The bread for the sandwich comes from the cities and has the perfect texture: crisp, crunchy outside and soft, chewy inside. The flavors in the sandwich were amazing and fresh. The egg rolls were incredibly flaky and the sauce that came with them was delicious. I recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty Asian food.

I recently heard about this place through a facebook comment so I decided to check it out. Locating was fairly easy and there is plenty of parking off to the side. We decided to dine in and we ordered egg rolls, stir fried rice noodle with chicken, fried beef balls, fried rice, and the chicken wings.

The service was great and the food came out quite quickly and was fantastic. The fried rice was great but my favorite from this time was the stir fried rice noodles with chicken. I forgot to try the swiss cheese egg rolls as that sounds so intriguing to me.

While we were there multiple people came in either to order takeout or to pickup their orders. I was quite amazed the one cook was keeping up with it all. Fun to be able to watch him cook and ordering through the daughter was really cool too.
I really appreciated the family aspect of the whole place. Everyone was very kind.

Being from the Twin Cities, I was surprised at how good and spot on their grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich was. I loved the baguette that came with it as it was soft, yet crispy. I also ordered their Vietnamese egg rolls and the shaken beef combination plate with fried rice. Everything was delicious. The food was full of flavor, not too oily, and the egg rolls were perfectly rolled. Nothing but good things to say about this mom and pop restaurant!

We ordered today for lunch and one of the orders was wrong. I can see how though as we ordered F5 (stir fry noodle with BBQ pork) and got S5 (chicken curry with rice) F5, S5 sound similar. I am glad we got the wrong order though because the chicken curry was AMAZING! I got the F3 (stir fry noodles with beef) and we shared. Both were great and we will be ordering again soon. Can wait to try some of the other options on this menu. Fresh ingredients and good size portions!

This is the best food in the Twin Ports! It's a family run establishment and they are very nice people.
I would ignore the bad review left about the salt and pepper shrimp ( you can't fix stupid ) that particular dish is excellent!

We were excited to try a new place in town. The effort was good however we were very disappointed with our meal. We took one bite into the salt and pepper shrimp, spit it out as under the salty crust was the shell and to add more they had not been deveined. Some may like that, we do not. It all went into the trash. The mixed vegetables were ok. We tried, we won’t be back. The 3 rating is for the nice friendly people working there.

Just ordered lunch to go. I got to sample some salt and pepper fish that is not on the menu. It was delicious. Got back to work and tried the sandwich I had ordered. The sandwich was also delicious. Fried rice also...delicious. I will be going back again for sure. Wonderful people, and wonderful food!

Passing through town and wanted someplace that had some veggies. This place is terrific - friendly staff, they cook it fresh in a sizzling wok right in front of you, food was ready within minutes and it was delicious, fresh, flavorful and a generous serving. Walked in the restaurant, not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised after ordering my food by the flavor and love put into it. The owners made me feel like a part of the family and introduced themselves and talked about the food, and gave me free samples.

Was excited to try this place with it being so close to where I live. I usually have to go to Duluth for banh mi but this place was absolutely BOMB! I ordered the spam and egg banh mi and ate it as I was walking home, super good! Super fresh! Will definitely be frequenting here ☺️
